The employees were super friendly and offered the rules of the game for anyone that hasn't played pickleball. They offer paddles and balls for rent with your session as well. There was plenty of seating right outside the court and were provided a server. They have a decent menu and the food was pretty good! I love pickleball. I love chicken. Naturally, I love Chicken N Pickle. This place is just plain fun. One of the best things about pickleball is that almost anyone can play. You don't have to be a world-class athlete to have a good time, and that's part of what makes it so addictive. My first visit was with my wife and some cousins and aunts visiting from Iowa. We spent the afternoon playing a few spirited games of pickleball--which I absolutely dominated, for the record--while enjoying some snacks and drinks before heading inside for dinner. The food was surprisingly good. I'd describe it as elevated bar food that actually delivers on the flavor. Disappointing experience at Chicken N Pickle. Unfortunately, what should have been a nice night out turned into a pretty frustrating experience. One of the biggest turnoffs was that they only serve drinks in plastic "glassware." If you enjoy a cold beer or a nice cocktail served properly, this definitely takes away from the experience and makes the whole thing feel less upscale than it should. The cocktail itself was also disappointing. The menu specifically stated that it came with a dried orange wheel and bourbon cherries, but neither was included with my drink. When you're ordering a cocktail based on how it's described on the menu, you expect to receive what is advertised. The service was probably the biggest issue. My server took my original order and my credit card to start a tab, but then never came back. At one point, I had to walk up to the bar myself just to get my own cocktails. That's not the kind of service I expect when I'm sitting at a table and have already given my card to my server. To make matters worse, I was automatically charged a 20% gratuity, despite the level of service I received. I understand tipping and have no problem rewarding good service, but an automatic 20% charge when I essentially had to get my own drinks from the bar was frustrating. I was also charged tax on food that I never ordered. I understand taxes being applied to an actual food purchase, but being charged food-related tax when I didn't order any food was unexpected and added to an already disappointing experience. Overall, there were just too many little things that added up: plastic drinkware, a cocktail missing the ingredients advertised on the menu, a server who disappeared after taking my order and credit card, having to get my own drinks, an automatic 20% gratuity, and being charged tax on food I never ordered. If I hadn't been there spending time with my family, I honestly would have considered the entire night a complete waste. There are plenty of other places where I'd rather spend my money and actually feel like I'm getting the experience and service I'm paying for. Our first server was spotty but you have the option to order through the cafeteria and someone will bring it to your table, do not a worry. There is variety of standard American brunch foods, Mexican brunch options and some less standard options- The biscuits and gravy is a YES. Lox bagels as well. The pork for the tacos... mmm. They have a great Bloody Mary bar and cheap margaritas if you're consuming alcohol as well. Free bingo is also involved. Bleh prizes clearly given to them for free by vendors (unless you get black out bingo at the end and you'll get a gift card) handed out- this really isn't a big deal though as the bingo is free. The teenagers that run it sometimes call out numbers way too fast. It's like the famous sports saying "its not how you start it's how you finish " My experience started off pretty horrible not going to lie. Got here and we had to wait an hour and a half for the Pickleball court, which at the end of the day, is understandable since we didn't have the reservation on a Sunday afternoon. so we waited about an hour and a half the gentleman asked me if I wanted 30 minutes or an hour I said an hour I got put down for 30 minutes, not knowing spent an hour and a half at the facility playing cornhole, and all the other games they had to offer our time was finally up after having a couple drinks and food. And if you're looking for a fast drinks from the bartenders, you might as well sit down for 15 to 20 minutes to wait for that drink as they don't really care or have a sense of emergency because it is a tip pool . What they don't understand is it's a team effort and because they don't care that affects everybody else that does care. We ended up playing Pickleball for 30 minutes and got kicked off the court after reserving it for an hour and there was a mistake. Clearly I was frustrated and the only reason that they are getting a five star is because John the general manager stepped in and clearly saw my frustration before I even had said anything he already offered to take care of the 30 minute game and some other items as I was not looking for this he still took care of it. It doesn't really make it better, but at the end of the day, he definitely made it better and we do appreciate it so we definitely recommend this place. We will be back to play some pickle ball and give the other staff a chance. read more

We had 3 courts near the bar area and the atmosphere was fun. I had 3 different cocktails on this visit, and they all disappointed. I started with the Pear Necessities.... it felt more like a Mocktail despite having Reposado in it. Moved on to the Spicy Blackberry Margarita, same thing, more like a mocktail. then I decided to do my own custom Margarita, it was better, but still not what I expected. As for the food, we order the Smoked Wings (just ok) and the chicken & waffle. That was the highlight meal amongst all of us and I didn't share even a piece of the waffle or chicken!!! They keep an open tab at all times until you cash out. I am not sure the tipping thoughts as if you dont get bar drinks, the server only uses your table. I've been here a few times and while the concept is amazing, the service hasn't been great each time. The venue is huge! Indoor, upstairs and outdoor setting that is designed to eat, game and lounge. The buffet breakfast is reasonably priced but the service wasn't the best. There was a consistent wait for several items and we were told some items would not be restocked although there was 2hrs remaining for breakfast. Also waited awhile for service while in the yard and drinks took long to come out. Food is average. Drinks are decent.
