Workers were very helpful and always in a good mood! The lights are fun as well! Drinks aren't expensive and when we come for unlimited bowling at night we rarely have to wait- if at all.

Bowlero Glendale is by far the newest and nicest bowling alley of the Bowlero/AMF family on the west side. With that, it's usually always busy. We purchased summer passes and have been trying out different locations. Lanes function well, finding a ball can be a challenge if it's very busy because people will leave them in lanes and ball returns but not be using them. We've tried out the food, pretty typical and as expected for a bowling alley. Nothing to knock your socks off and it's pretty slow. Nice selection of draft beer. Of course, it's all priced steeply. The staff in general is friendly and helpful, sometimes frazzled. They have a nice arcade.

THE BEST BOWLING ALLEY. The best service, arcade is killer, bartending is amazing and the new manager Erica makes sure you are always taken care of! Will always come back here!

This is how I feel about their service.

Here's the deal. I arrived a little later than our party. I had no idea this had just happened. But the fact that it did makes matters worse. My in-laws arrived and tried to bring food into this bowling facility. When I heard about it, I thought, "why would dad try to bring food into a facility that sells food?" I was told to shut it and leave it alone. I was told that dad is upset because they won't let him bring food inside. That's just all the back story. HERE IS THE STORY: I thought, "well, I'm going to go get a drink at least." So, I walked to the bar they have there. When I arrived at the bar, there was a man behind the counter who I guess would have been the bartender. It was hard to tell though because he was just standing there talking to what I think was one of his friends at the bar stool. I waited. My parents taught me to be patient. Plus, if he is in the middle of helping this guy get a drink, that would be just rude of me to interrupt. So now I'm just standing there listening to these two chat up a storm for about a minute. 60 seconds and this guy hasn't noticed me. I didn't want my in-laws, who I thought might be leaving soon, think I had left the building. They had no idea I was at the bar trying to get a drink. So, I was starting to get a little impatient because the bartender is chatting up a storm with his buddy, the other person is also walking around cleaning up (good for them - at least they were working). Then, another employee walks up, I knew it was an employee because they were behind the counter, and that employee began talking to the other two about whatever fun stuff they had to discuss. I can tell you this, they weren't discussing helping anyone get a drink. They didn't even acknowledge me standing there. Still waiting. I didn't know what to do. I was the only person just standing there. Only one other customer at the bar and it looked like he already had a drink. So I did it. I did the thing that I think you all know we have to do nowadays in this s#!t @$$ economy. Businesses don't hire, nor do they ensure good customer service anymore. Not these kind of businesses. They know how to put the red tape up. They know how to tell you what you're not allowed to do. But they absolutely don't know how to look for nonverbals from a customer who clearly is waiting to be helped. I asked the man that walked up last, because i didn't want to interrupt the bartender and his story, "can i get something to drink?" The one I asked looked at the bartender with this look like, "what an idiot!" I waited to see if maybe that look he shot the bartender would get the bartender to jump into action. It didn't. The bartender just gave a look back at the other guy like "I'm not doing it." Remember, I just got here like three minutes ago. There is NO WAY these guys knew I had anything to do with my father-in-law and his little issue about the food. Plus, the bar is way off to the side in its little nook. The bartender couldn't have known. I mean, he was oblivious to me just standing there. How would he have even see the food thing happen way on the other side of the bowling alley. I gave them about 5 to 10 seconds. I waited long enough. I turned and walked away. Now, in a good business, one of them would have comment me down to tell me, 1.) "excuse me, sorry, did you want a drink?" Or 2.) "my apologies, we aren't open for drinks right now" Or 3.) or anything But they didn't. They just continued on like I was an annoyance in their night. I never got that drink I was hoping for. Here's the deal. The reason this place is trash is because their rules say you can't bring food into their facility. Totally get that. But it doesn't make sense in light of their employees will absolutely treat you like you're a second class citizen and refuse to even acknowledge you, let alone THEY WONT SERVE YOU DRINKS AT THE BAR of the place that you can't bring food or drinks into!! Choose one or the other. But don't tell people they can't bring in their sustenance and also not serve them. If I could, I'd get that little sticker you put on your truck back window of the dog peeing on Bolwlero. Btw, I will never bowl here again. I don't know who this place serves but it clearly won't serve me.

FILTHY MESS- before our league everything should be cleaned- it's a mess. Horrible . Also, the floor is sticky by the desk. Not good. Honestly, if it wasn't for the people on my league, i dont know if i would bowl here anymore. But I love the sport, and unfortunately bowlero owns almost every bowling alley here in the valley with good leagues. And don't think they don't know that.

    Jesse Allen F.

Great customer service in the pro shop from both Kyle and Keith. They watched me bowl and made recommendations regarding ball refinement and possible alternatives.

Great conditions = great scoring potential!

Conveniently located right off Grand Ave (US 60) in a little strip mall right in the heart of Surprise. Tons of ample parking for you and some of your closest friends! We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Contrary to what a few of the other reviews have said, you do ** NOT ** need to bring quarters with you. Obviously, you can. But it's not necessary. The nice gentleman running the place today gladly took our $20 bill and give us a few $5 bills back. From there, you can go to their change machine in the back, chuck in your $1 bills or $5 bills and it'll spit out quarters at you. Once you've got your pockets full of quarters, head over to one of the many machines and be prepared to be entertained! It's $1 per game. I know, but this ain't 1984 anymore so a dollar per game checks out. We blew through our $20 in a hair over an hour. It is incredibly clean inside! The machines functioned with no issues at all and I can't stress enough about how clean the machines (and everything) was here at Player 1! If you want to partake in some soda or alcohol, they can serve you up some refreshments while you've got your hands full with a pinball machine. Super fun way to spend a hot summertime afternoon here in Arizona. We will DEFINITELY be back. Such a cool place. Can't recall the last time I saw this many pinball machines lined up in a row. I think I was listening to Van Halen on cassette on my boom box. Highly recommended, friends! Go check them out!

Not only was everything in working order, but we were shocked to find several very rare games here! For example Jumping Jackpot, Chameleon Paradise, the Flintstone's coin push machine, a sit down version of Pirate's Hook. Icee's were good as was the soda. Didn't have actual food, but since the service was slightly slow, the lady gave us all these drinks for free which was super generous and fantastic! In the arcade there are multiple tables WITH CHAIRS where parents can actually sit down whilst their children play their hearts out. I have never seen actual chairs available throughout an arcade before, and we got to them all. Very refreshing! Now I know next time we can bring the grandparents. Ropes course looks super fun and is up above the arcade. If you want to bowl, they have about 20 lanes available. Prize selection is high quality and diverse. Far superior to Fat Cat's, Peter Piper, Chuck E. Cheese, etc. Again, if you have been avoiding this place due to the bad reviews, we encourage you to give it a chance. We loved it, and we had an awesome time. Will definitely be back. I only wish they would offer some kind of summer pass like Dave and Buster's. That would make it even better. Happy gaming! :-)

Now my buddy this man reaches into his pocket and pulls out what I can only describe as a historical artifact. I'm talking a doobie so big it looked like Bob Marley himself rolled it during a greatest hits tour. I said, "Absolutely not. I am a grown man. I got responsibilities. I got a mortgage. I got snacks at home I haven't even finished yet." That didn't matter. Next thing I know, windows are up, car turns into a Dutch oven of bad decisions, and now I'm just along for the ride literally and spiritually. Somewhere between "this is a bad idea" and "why is everything funny," I lost control of the evening. We pull into the park around that magical time you know, that in-between hour... not quite day, not quite night... like God dimmed the lights and said, "Alright boys, let's see what happens." The whole place is glowing neon lights, arcade buzz, roller coasters rattling in the distance. Felt like walking into a carnival dream... or maybe a fever dream. Jury's still out. Now here's the thing about this place it's been around since the late '70s, sitting right there in Phoenix like a desert time capsule of fun. You got four roller coasters, including the Desert Storm, which sounds fun until you're on it reconsidering every life choice that led you there. Then there's the Patriot wooden, loud, and about as gentle as a bar fight. And somehow... SOMEHOW... we thought tequila beforehand was a good idea. So now we're buzzed, slightly baked against our will, and wandering this park like three philosophers who lost their notes. We're laughing at everything. Nothing's funny but everything's hilarious. A trash can? Comedy gold. A churro? Best thing I've ever eaten in my life. A child running past me? I'm emotionally invested in his journey. But I'll give credit where it's due the park itself? Clean. Staff's friendly. Nobody's judging three grown men giggling like idiots. It's got that old-school charm too arcades, mini golf, rides, the whole deal. You can bring a family here... or whatever version of a situation we were. Now the rides... oh, the rides. Let me tell you something nothing will make you rediscover fear like being slightly out of your mind on a roller coaster you thought you could handle. I got scared... not once... not twice... but a few times. The kind of scared where you start making promises to God you don't intend to keep. "I'll be a better man if I survive this drop..." Didn't mean a word of it. By the end of the night, we had the munchies, the laughs, and just enough dignity left to get back to the car without needing a group meeting. For a couple hours, though? We were kids again. No responsibilities. No stress. Just lights, noise, and pure, ridiculous fun. So yeah Castles N' Coasters might be a family amusement park... but under the right or completely wrong circumstances, it turns into one hell of a story. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just... maybe crack a window on the way there.

The kids wanted to do that first so we walked straight to the bowling (right behind & in close proximity to the front desk). We had been told by the front desk gal we purchased from that the attendant manning the bowling area would get us set up, give us our balls, etc. We walked a few steps over there and it was obvious that employee could not help us as it appeared a lady had been hit in the face with a bowling ball or some other similar medical emergency. Understandably, the employee could not get us set up so we returned to the front desk to ask if that worker we had purchased bowling from could just hand us our balls. We figured since there were 4 lanes, maybe we could play in the one on the far left since incident occurred on the lane to the far right. We were told that we could not bowl (by another employee) due to the incident. We were told we would need to wait to play. I get it, but I wish we had been offered the option of a refund. No such offer. We decided then to go into the playground area, Ballocity, whilst waiting for this incident to clear. We were quite surprised to find that there were multiple buckets collecting water from a ceiling leak INSIDE THE PLAYGROUND AREA! This was completely unsanitary and poses multiple safety hazards (including, but not limited to, slipping and falling, kids playing in the disgusting water, etc.). To make matters worse, my youngest child advised me that there was tons of water on the ground up above in the top level of the play structure!!! Talk about unsafe. I climbed up there myself to validate what he had told me and sure enough it was correct. This entire play structure should be closed until this leaking water situation is corrected. Additionally, many of the games were out of order and not operational. The Sonic Basketball game would still take credits off of cards, but unfortunately, we soon realized that there are not even any balls in the game with which to play. Totally unfortunate. We did not even use all the credits we bought. We got out of there. I hope they are not going to go out of business soon. I am very concerned, from a business standpoint, that they may not be bringing in enough money to maintain their facility. PLEASE LOOK AT MY PHOTOS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE.
