My friends and family love to bowl, especially here at AMF. Although this time it was a little different. We go in, pay and are told tonights unlimited bowling time. as time goes on the bowler across from us leaves and tells us we can use his lane since there was 5 of us and one of him. We use his lane and the bowlers on the other side see this and complain to this lady who I believe is their mom but also works there.. she then has it shut off. MIND YOU one of their people came and started playing on the same lane we were playing on(lane that the guy let us play on/ gave us.. we also shared the booth with him). they shut it off okay? no big deal we were playing with just one before.. but then ours gets shut off. When we go to the front to ask.. the lady simply says "you guys have more time but we ended it"... but why? "did you guys still want to play"? like not anymore thanks. just all around mean girl, snotty, inconsiderate people.

Avoid Lane 1

I have been trying out various alleys to find the best one near me. Out of the 6 I have tried, this one gave me the worst bowling experience by far. The lanes were absolutely dry, not sure if it was by design, but my ball would return dry as a bone. Then after a few throws the lane would keep malfunctioning over several games. The pins would reset with pins missing or just plainly the lane would shut down often delaying further play by several minutes each time. After three games or so, I was finally offered to finish my remaining games on the next lane. The staff was courteous and friendly, though I had noticed other bowling alleys being far more attentive and accommodating by comparison. I was hoping for more from this alley, but sadly no... Not mad, just disappointed. This experience could've been just dumb luck as it was my first and only time here, though not sure it's worth the price to find out.

Clean- family friendly activity! Go get your bowl on!

What a fun, clean, family day of fun!! This place was great and the staff are all super friendly! My game isn't very good... but I had fun anyway. Shout out to Chad, the Operations Manager- friendly and courteous!! Take the family bowling and tell him Tam says hello!

People skills fail in my opinion

Bowling is great. However the bartender in the bar needs to learn people skills!!! I ask 4 a pitcher of beer and a Pepsi 4 my date & the out if the blue assumes that I was intending on buying my date her Pepsi. And says what can't ya pay for it? Excuse me?? How tf are ya assuming I'm not paying 4 it when I ordered it?? Then the bartender only charges me for the pitcher & has her pay for her pepsi!! Plus she gives me an attitude when I asked for 3 cups, she gives me 2 & says she thought i was going to drink from the pitcher. Yea the place needs to give her some more help behind the bar cuz she needs an attitude adjustment before she catches words from someone who throws attitude right back at her

Saturday afternoon

I really would've enjoyed it here if it didn't pay nearly $150 to bowl for an hour and a half with 4 people because I made my reservation online days prior. If I had just came in and paid upon arrival then it would've only been about $55. Other than that the staff was friendly. And the food was priced about as expected was good. Our lane got stuck clearing the pins but was quickly fixed.

It's literally empty.... but my son and I can't have a lane to ourselves.

So weird. We came in as a large party (12, 6 per lane) and I asked to be on a separate lane for my 4 year old and I, just because he can be impatient and that way he can do his own thing. What looked like a manager? Button up and all, he said, "it's a Saturday so I wouldn't want to have to TAKE the lane from you, I say just have him bowl for someone and I won't charge you for shoes." Sooo basically even though I'm a paying customer, if it gets busy than he can just take the lane away from us? I included a photo to see how "busy" it is. Ridiculous.

We ordered our food and only got the salmon protein bowl brought out while still missing all the rest of the food for our party of 6. The manager and server were nice and tried their best to figure out what happened. Eventually the staff had said they accidentally dropped the tray of food before bringing it out. It took about 30-40 minutes to actually get our food so always really an hour from when we ordered to when we got our food. I did enjoy the buffalo wings we had as appetizers. I also was not very partial to either the guac or the cauliflower elote as the flavors were a bit bland on those appetizers. Once we got our food they had brought out my sons burger with cheese but we ordered no cheese because he doesn't like it and doesn't know what is good in life so yet another wait for him to actually get his food. I did like the spicy hombre cocktail which is made with an aged tequilla. The staff offered us free desserts and a $10 game card to make up for the food wait and errors. We appreciate that. To top it off I was brought the check on their hand held devices and it was not working so had to wait for the server to bring another to check out. We have been to Dave and Busters many times but this visit was not one we would like to remember. Hopefully next time we have a better experience as I figured it was just an off night.

Not only was everything in working order, but we were shocked to find several very rare games here! For example Jumping Jackpot, Chameleon Paradise, the Flintstone's coin push machine, a sit down version of Pirate's Hook. Icee's were good as was the soda. Didn't have actual food, but since the service was slightly slow, the lady gave us all these drinks for free which was super generous and fantastic! In the arcade there are multiple tables WITH CHAIRS where parents can actually sit down whilst their children play their hearts out. I have never seen actual chairs available throughout an arcade before, and we got to them all. Very refreshing! Now I know next time we can bring the grandparents. Ropes course looks super fun and is up above the arcade. If you want to bowl, they have about 20 lanes available. Prize selection is high quality and diverse. Far superior to Fat Cat's, Peter Piper, Chuck E. Cheese, etc. Again, if you have been avoiding this place due to the bad reviews, we encourage you to give it a chance. We loved it, and we had an awesome time. Will definitely be back. I only wish they would offer some kind of summer pass like Dave and Buster's. That would make it even better. Happy gaming! :-)

Such a fun experience and Nick was AMAZING!…read more I went to Puttshack as part of an event, and I honestly had such a great time! I had never been to a place like this before. The last time I played putt-putt was probably when I was a kid, but once we got started, I was hooked. It was so much fun! I also loved that it's indoors and nicely air-conditioned, which is a huge plus in Arizona. The venue itself is really cool, with a great bar area downstairs and another bar upstairs. And I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Nick, the bartender upstairs. He was genuinely one of the best bartenders I can remember having in years. He was incredibly personable, friendly, and fun. I'm pretty introverted, but somehow Nick had me talking, laughing, and excited to try cocktails I normally wouldn't order. He was basically the life of our entire group, and everyone absolutely loved him. I'm still wondering why they stuck him upstairs because he was such a huge part of what made our experience so great! Overall, Puttshack is such a fun venue for an event or party, and I'll definitely be bringing my family here the next time they're in town. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and a genuinely fun experience.

Our golf was scheduled for 6p so we arrived a little early and decided to grab a drink at the bar. I saw the cucumber fizz on the cocktail menu and thought it looked delicious, but I don't drink gin. I asked the bartender if he could make it with vodka instead. He told me he couldn't substitute the gin because they have to inventory their alcohol. Strange - but OK. I asked if they are a full bar and he said yes. I then asked if he could make me a vodka soda with simple syrup, cucumber, and mint. His response was that he couldn't make it because there was no way for him to charge me for the extra ingredients. This is where I was honestly baffled. I wasn't asking for anything complicated or unreasonable. I'm not sure if the bartender was complying with policy or just didn't want to make a custom drink, but it's a full bar. The bartender could have offered an alternative but instead I was told it couldn't be done. The interaction was really disappointing. The mini golf itself was OK, the sensors didn't track 3 of our putts. We were told to report to one course to start but then got asked to start at another course. We were given balls with no explanation of how their sensor system works, so our first hole was a mess. We later saw other people checking in and getting the full run down on all the rules and nuances so we definitely missed out on the welcome factor. This was supposed to be a child-free date night, and being unable to enjoy a cocktail we actually wanted really put a damper on the experience. Could we have ordered something else? Totally. But the interaction with the bartender just made us not want to order anything. I would hope a full-service bar to could have some flexibility and, frankly, a little creativity. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

Located downtown, while they have a small parking lot that they share with The Van Buren, I Ubered over. Ambiance (2.5/5): To get in, go into Ziggy's Pizza. You'll see a bouncer. He will check your ID and then you'll make your way through the walk in fridge. That will take you to a door that leads you to the speakeasy. When you think of a speakeasy, you think of dim lighting. Intimate. Quiet. This isn't that. On the weekends, Stardust turns into a casual club. There's a DJ, there's a dance floor, and there's pin ball. Not your run-of-the-mill speakeasy at all. So I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. For me, I think I would like it a lot more on a week day when it's a lot less congested. Service (4/5): Even with them being quite busy, the bartenders are quite efficient and attentive. Which makes things go through quickly, despite a line. Well done all-around. My only complaint? You pay on those little handheld devices which don't show you an itemized receipt. I had to ask for one. Food (N/A): They're owned by the same people as Ziggy's so you can wait for your food at Ziggy's and then bring it into Stardust. There are a few booths in Stardust so you can sit and eat. Ziggy's is pretty good pizza, so I recommend it. Drinks (3/5): When we're talking speakeasies, the expectation is elevated cocktails with an interested blend of flavors and ingredients. While Stardust has a cool menu, the cocktails are made quickly so the focus is on speed rather than quality. They're not bad per se, nor are the prices, but they're not speakeasy quality. I've tried four or five different ones on the menu. The creativity is there to a degree, but the execution isn't. While a bit critical since they're a speakeasy, overall, Stardust is a pretty cool spot. If you come right after a concert gets out at Van Buren, expect for there to be a long line. I'm planning to come back on a Tuesday. Why? Free pinball (normally it's a $1 per play) and specials on cheese pizza slices and beer.

However, the host is also working as the side cook, so make sure you walk past the lobby far enough for them to see that you are there waiting to be seated. A guy quickly came over, walked us to our table, and explained how the buffet works. You order your drinks first, and then you can go to the food line. Some items, such as chile rellenos, chimichangas, and the hot dogs, take less than five minutes to prepare, and they will bring them to your table. Other dishes, like mole, pipián, and several other options, are available right away. They serve the food for you, and you can go back as many times as you want. You can also ask for rice and beans. I got the pipián, and I really liked it. I only asked for rice and no beans, but I ended up getting beans as well. On my second plate, I got flautas and asked for a side of rice, but it never came, so I had to go ask again. For my third plate, I got carnitas, but they didn't come with anything, so I had to ask for tortillas, onion, cilantro, and salsa. The waitresses were nice, but they may be new because they seemed to be having some trouble organizing the orders and getting everything out correctly. One suggestion I would make is for the mole. If I were them, I would serve the meat off the bone. That way, they could give smaller portions with each serving and reduce waste. In my case, eating a whole chicken leg is too much, especially at a buffet. If someone wants more meat, they can always ask for another serving. Overall, I liked all the food I tried. For the mole, though, I wish they would add a pinch of sesame seeds. I think that would make it taste more authentic and add a little more flavor. I would also suggest adding Mexican drinks like Topo Chico or Jarritos unflavored sparkling water or club soda. I think those would be a great addition to the buffet.
