The lady at the front desk was super RUDE. I placed an order for dine in and they boxed my pizza, wings and jalapeños poppers. When I suggested them to put it on a tray she said she couldn't do it and just placed it on the table. My daughter needed to use the restroom and there was a "closed" sign on the door. My daughter asked the same lady if the bathroom was out of service and she answered "can't you read the sign?" I will never go back to that restaurant again. read more

It's been awhile since I have been here. Tried the buffet a few weeks ago and again today. What a disappointment old pizza pieces on a couple trays and nothing new brought out in over thirty minutes on my lunch break. I was also surprised to see that they no longer have chilled plates for the salad bar and multiple condiments were not put out and were capped off. The plates are in the cooler but the cooler is off. I don't know what the rest of these reviews are talking about...but...daaaaang, this was one of the best RT pizza's that I've ever had. I love RT, it's my favorite "fast food" pizza. That being said, I eat it alll the time. I moved to Modesto a few years ago from the bay so have been going between two RT's in Modesto. Well, truthfully, I had a freebie pizza that was only good at the Ripon RT, so we went there for the first time. Laaaawd! This pizza was delicious. The sauce was a little spicier than usual which was so good. Toppings were even and plentiful and it was cooked well. She made sure I had HOT food for my break today and I truly couldn't be more thankful. I unfortunately order way way more than I should, but it is always fresh , hot, the few times I have to go into the store , it's also nice and clean and the workers are always cheerful and greet everyone . We like a salad bar so we chose to forgo the better pizza at Gold Dust and go to Round Table. Unfortunately every time we show up, the staff looks miserable and sometimes very irritated that they have customers. The salad bar is empty frequently and we have to ask them to refill it. There was one time the local football team won the Super Bowl and we all chose Round Table as the place to go after. There were no tables left to sit at and they refused to open the party room doors to let us sit in there because "you have to call ahead to book the room and they didn't have any one on staff to clean the room" lol. We told them we could clean it and they still refused. Super weird. The place was empty when we showed up and staff seemed super mad that we all came and ruined their easy Saturday night at work. Sucks to feel bad for giving them business. Same thing happened last night. 5 families decided to go there after a softball game and the staff was not friendly. We had to ask for plates, ask for things to be refilled on the salad bar...and meanwhile they were looking like we ruined their day by being there. Weird vibe and mediocre pizza. Such a bummer because Gold Dust is always so crowded, but guess we'll be going back there next time. read more

We have lived in Ripon since 2007 and have been loyal Round Table customers during the time. The last couple years the service and quality has gone down hill. I'm not sure if there are new owners during this time but the service and quality have gotten bad. The only reason I give one star is because when I called to complain the manager tried to make it right by sending out a new pizza. The problem is these types of things keep happening. 11/1/18 Still 1 Star. Over an hour and a half for 2 medium pizzas and some wings. Was told it would be 45min. We live about 5min away. Was told on the phone they could not reach the driver so no clue how long it will take. Not sure why we keep going to this place. The person on the phone was polite and gave me a discount-so that was nice. Considering canceling my order and getting something else. So disappointing. Not recommended to get pizza here. My son wants to give them 1/2 a star Another family pizza night-we were there at least 30min and only 1 new pizza, the other 4 pizzas were there when we got there so. I idea how old they were. Pizza was cold. Salad ran out and the servers had to be asked to refill. It was so different last week-is there a new manager? Previous review-Family buffet night-came because it's quick and relatively cost effective if you have kids. Here at 5:20-place 1-2 full and they only have 3 pizzas out. Seriously! My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch yesterday afternoon. We ordered a large pizza, two salads, and two waters. When the cashier said $50, we both asked are you sure? $50 for two people for lunch? She rechecked and said yes. So we stayed and had lunch. We both had the ranch dressing on our salads which was very bland, almost tasted watered-down and was kind of runny. The pizza was fine, we have been there numerous times for the lunch specials during the week but all of this was quite a surprise. I can say we will be going back to do this again. I'm really dissatisfied with the quality of customer service by calling the restaurant for delivery. the young lame sheep that answered the phone with no enthusiasm in his voice. proceeded to tell me that they don't deliver to my house. when in the past they indeed did and deliver constantly to my neighbors. he then got into a bit of a disagreement on the distance from my house to the restaurant. Claiming it was 13 miles but when mapping it, it's only 5.9. lunch buffet is AOK! This is all I ever get at this Round Table. Their salad bar is GREAT! Ice cold plates, fresh crisp lettuce, and lots and lots of different salad ingredients, including those mini corn things which I find oddly awesome! The pizza buffet is pretty great too. They usually have a good selection of different pizzas including many of their specialty pizzas. They usually have the basics too. They also have the cheesy garlic sticks and the cinnamon sugar bread sticks. I guess the only bad part (the reason for -1 star) is that occasionally you have to wait for fresh pizzas to come out. If the pies are coming out slow you have to be a bit of a vulture to get a hot piece when it hits the buffet. The price isn't bad either...but here's a tip for anyone who is a member at Snap Fitness. Present your Snap card and get 15% off your purchase. It saves me about a buck on the lunch buffet :) read more

Discovered this by accident while traveling on 99. I live in the Bag, but this place is 10 times better than all the roundtables I have been too. Clean place, good environment, cold proper beer. First time are the gourmet veggie without mushrooms. Pizza was hats off. Second time went there after few months and just added chicken to the gourmet veggie. I am sold to this particular place. A couple days ago I revisited this Round Table and it was amazing! Employees are really nice and my favorite pizza was made to perfection:) Super fresh ingredients as always! Probably the worst choice for pizza in town. And it's hard for me to say that because I do like Round Table. Even with the discounts they have available the pizza is still expensive and it's definitely not made with love. When you order a signature pie, you would expect them to have the basics down. Not so my friend. Way too much sauce, uneven toppings, extremely uneven slices. On top of that, when I went to go pick up my order, they tried to charge me a dollar for a ranch and didn't offer to give paper plates, napkins, while I'm standing there with a pen in my hand ready to write a tip. don't you love it when a business posts a sign advertising a good price on one of their products outside of their business, and after ordering that product they charge you a king's ransom and will not give it to you for the advertised price? this is an example of the shady dealings one can expect in visiting the round table pizza in ripon. i walked into round table pizza to get a large pepperoni pizza at noon for take out. there was not a single customer in the place. upon inquiring about the sign promoting the deal "large double pepperoni pizza for $12.99", the cashier Ashley disappeared to the back to go ask her manager about the deal since she didn't seem to know anything about it. after waiting for five long minutes, Ashley reappeared to inform me that her manager said that the deal is only good from 6pm to 8pm. hmm. that's weird. the sign sure didn't have any times attached to it, or any other notations about "limited time offer" or something of that sorts. so i asked Ashley what was her manager's name. she reluctantly told me that her name was "Tina", and i guess Tina was far too busy to come out herself and explain the policy or why this sign was out. for some reason, i have a sneaking suspicion that this "Tina" manager wasn't even there and this explanation was created in the backroom. the entire experience was infuriating. plus, the pizza did a number on my stomach. murphy's law, isn't it? if you find yourself in ripon for some reason and are craving pizza, PLEASE go to pizza plus or little caesar's instead. you will save a wad of cash and sanity. read more

Can you not tell the person making the pizza, which is standing 5 feet away from you, "Hey Friend, can you leave the pepperoni off of a quarter of that pizza?" I called and to ask how much longer the delivery would take, the person on the phone said my order left their restaurant over 25 min prior, I asked to talk to a supervisor, they then placed me on hold for another 5 min!!!! Round Table still makes the best pizza of any chain (and most independent) pizza makers, I have been in this one 3 times in last year due to having family members living in the area. Last visit was last weekend and pizza is as good as ever--but it is their salad bar that I really like the most, with more options than other chains. Right next door to a Baskin Robbins in Ripon, a great stop for pizza and ice cream. No other pizza chain makes a combo pizza comparable to RT, and I try them wherever I go. Funny how the other Yelp reviews of this location show a trend -- the two earlier reviews from people in Ripon hate it and people from out of town love it. So my husband and I went in about 3 weeks ago for pizza...it did seem busy but not over an hour waiting for pizza kind of busy!! Good pizza too long of a wait. I would not have done a negative review for that except for the following week we call for a delivery they said 45 min and show up an hour in a half later which would have been fine too except the pizzas were a disgusting, soggy mess and tasted like they sat in the boxes for hours! I called to ask if they'd sat for a long period of time because I paid $58 for my order and the pizza tasted really gross! The manager said the driver had one delivery before mine and it was close to me...she ended up offering me a $25 card or certificate of some sort for my next visit I did say yes because I felt that after spending almost $60 on horrible tasting food I would like to have it.....well unfortunately I have never received any sort of compensation for my terribly expensive nasty tasting food:( I will never order pizza from here to be delivered again and I guess going in on the weekends is not a good idea either! read more
