Round table pizza is delicious. However, this location is substandard. It took 35 minutes for us to get one medium pizza made. It was not busy and there was no excuse. I've come here a several times and have always given this place second chances just because I love round table pizza. However, this is the last time. This store has horrible customer service. We ordered twists and it sat in the window for the longest time to be delivered to our table. To which I stated can I just grab them myself and the person working there said someone will bring them right over (which by the way didn't happen until another 5 'minutes later). By the time it got there it was cold and we returned them right back. When we received our "fresh" twists they were burnt. Same exact thing happened with the pizza. A long wait for cold pizza to arrive on your table. If I'm going to pay for pricey pizza, I'd expect it to be fresh and served with a smile. They had a wide variety of pizzas such as pepperoni, combination, artichoke hearts and garlic, bacon, Hawaiian style, etc. The price of $7.49/person was very reasonable. Sometimes it's the smallest interactions that can make the most difference. Today I called to place an order for takeout on this glorious half priced Monday and Christian answered the phone. She was so sweet and so energetic that I hung up and said out loud to myself how sweet she was! I purchased a large Artisan pizza on special for $17.99, regularly $24.99. I wouldn't pay $12.99. My pizza had little toppings and there was nothing special about it. Good day, Wounded Warrior and US Marine Veteran here. Last night, on July 19th 2016 I was in the place dining in for the buffet that was going on. I purchase for my family of 7 the buffet to be able to feed my kids. Well the issue I had was 5 minutes before the end on the buffet at 8:00pm that we were not told it ended at 8:00pm. They had ran out of pizza and bread sticks. They did not even tell the customers that it was closing down at 8:00pm. I purchase the buffet just 22 minutes before they had this issue. I do not under stand why the Manager or the one in charge did not make enough pizzas. Also poeple were going up to them wanting more, they told them that was all. They did not have enough dough. Great for kids- we get the buffet-quick pizza, and we can have some veggies with the salad bar. You can watch a football game and have a pitcher of beer too. It is a good economical choice. We walked in and ordered our pizza, wings and 2 salads, the salad bar was a disaster, so much cross contamination, there was salad dressing in the crouton basket and olives in almost every other ingredient. I had asked one of the workers if they could please clean it up or add some new ingredients,he told me to wait 15 min I got an okay and a nice eye-roll after asking, after that we proceeded to wait for our pizza and wings, after 20 min the salad bar was still not fixed properly, it took 30 min for our pizza and wings and the wings were very very cold. Should have checked ratings first. I tried to use a coupon they provide on their pizza box on the website (as it says to do) and kept getting invalid coupon error. When they delivered the pizza I was told there is a problem with the website and I should call in to use their coupons. Strike one. Tonight I order on line marking that I want my pizza delivered. I wait an hour as they claim it can take that long. I even waited additional thirty minutes. Finally I call in. Rude lady says I ordered it as a pickup. I tell her I chose delivery. Instead of trying to find a solution she just wants to repeat herself and get mad. She should go back to preparing pizzas and stay away from answering phones. I know I will not be using round table again. Doubt they care, but if she is allowed to continue talking to customers I will be the first of many not to come back. Not a big loss to me anyway. Dude, I'm not huge into Yelp (obviously from my profile), but I made one just to review this place. I come in here weekly with my girlfriend and get our fave pepperoni with pineapple and jalapeno pizza and some of those dank garlic twists and have never had a bad experience. Like I said, we're total regulars and today while I was in talking to Brier (one of our favorite long-time cashiers) she mentioned how bad the yelp reviews have been and asked us, if we felt it reasonable, to write a review about our experiences here. Adriana, Ashley and staff are awesome. There has been a lot of turnover the past year but they consistently make our pizza correctly and are really cool to us. These guys and gals are rad and they deserve some respect. My girlfriend and I will always be regulars here and I know a lot of people are as well. If the pizza and staff weren't 100 then I would find a new spot...but this is the place. Thank you for always being a part of our weekly cheat day. You guys rock. read more

1 star well we just moved to Carlsbad from Escondido and wanted to try out one of my fav spots, Round Table Pizza. so we call the store that is 1.4 miles away from my condo and was told that I am not with in the delivery area when I know for a fact that it is a 5 mile radius. I then try and place my order online and the system errors out and asks me to call a number to place my order. I call back again and was told that if I came and picked it up I would receive 15% off my order. I show up and for 2 pizzas, large 1 topping and a large 2 topping pizza comes to 45 dollars and change. I ask have they changed their prices or toppings to organic and was told no. In all my orders at the Escondido store I have never paid 45 dollars for 2 pizzas. I ask why is this store so high in price compared to others and she said just high quality pizza. she then hands me some coupons and I was rude at this point and was oh yah next time. A. I live WAY Close to this place for it not to be delivery. I live off Maron Rd and the restaurant is on the same road. If it were not for guests that wanted the pizza I would have not paid and then just left. to promise a 15 % off to come in and pick up and then not give it to your customers is quite pathetic. Asked for the pizza to be ready for pickup at 4:50 p.m. Pizza wasn't ready at 4:50 p.m. At 5:00 p.m., asked the person behind the counter where it was. She said almost ready. I'm writing this review strictly to commend this location on their customer service. Very attentive staff, I was asked by 3 different people if I needed anything while I was waiting for my pizza. I was offered a drink while I was waiting, and the guy who gave me my pizza insisted that I take a look at it before I left to make sure it was what I ordered. When I left, I was sent away with sincere "have a nice day"s, not just the typical careless ones you normally get. If I were going to compare RoundTable pizzas, this one would only get one star and that's because the soda machine worked! The crust was burnt and tasted like 'refrigerator' you know that taste? We also got the salad bar!! Big mistake! Soggy veggies with lots of empty containers, no croutons or breadsticks! I had to buy breadsticks, six for seven dollars and one cent!!! I had a pretty bad experience here. Honestly I don't normally write reviews but I had to because I think that people should know about this. The pizza is great but the lady running the place is very rude. I showed up at 10:32 and they open at 10:30 and the door was locked she then came to open the doors and proceeded to say "Can I help you with something". I said uh yes I would like to order Pizza she then said well are oven won't be ready for another 30 minutes. Ok then why open at 10:30? Then as I was ordering another lady came up asking about the buffet that starts at 11:00, she then said well we don't put the pizza in till 11:00 in a very rude manner so the customer decided to leave. When she left she then turned to me and said "I love that people think it should be convenient for them". She then went on to complain about other customers and past situations.
