Haven't been to Round Table in a VERY long time. We were out and about and decide since we were here that we would stop and give it a try. Plenty of parking. Walked in, no one was here. Was a little alarming but then it was only 4:50 pm. It was very clean but looks a tad dated. Noticed lots of televisions & games. Saw that there was a $9.99 individual two topping pizza available. We ended up getting two. The girl at the counter was nice. She didn't try to upsell but like I said, she was nice. Our pizzas came out. One was pepperoni & the other pineapple & jalapeño. The first bite was hard to enjoy. They were wicked hot. But after we got past the burns, haha, we found the pizzas to be quite tasty. Not a ton of sauce and the crust was crispy. And for individual pizzas they were pretty filling. Will we be back? Yes. Next time we want to try the buffet. read more

Round Table Pizza is one of my weekend cheat meals. The staff is always nice, the place is clean, and I've probably been here 50 times. Today though, we asked for ranch and were told it's $1.50 extra. Since when? A large pizza is already $45 -- charging extra for ranch just feels petty. What annoyed me more is that I had to do two separate transactions. It would've been nice if the cashier asked before running the first transaction whether we needed anything else like ranch. Surprisingly, they didn't charge for Parmesan or pepper flakes. This review is mainly for the owner -- not the staff. The ranch charge just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm done with this Round Table. Ordered a pizza for delivery last night at 5;20 PM and was told it would arrive by 6:30. Called the location approximately 6:45 and was informed it was out with the driver. 7:30 it finally arrived, semi-warm and not the freshest ingredients. This is not the first time this has happened. How is one suppose to plan dinner when there delivery time is not even close.? And then there's the very unfriendly employees on the phone. Think I'll try different frozen pizzas in the future. 3.5 stars. We came for the lunch buffet. They had pizza, twists and cinnamon rolls. It also included the salad bar and a drink. Price point wise, it was great! It's a good amount of food for $15.99. One of the major inconveniences was when they cut the pizza, it was never cut through. So you spent majority of the time trying to cut the slice while trying not to hold up the line. The pizza selection was odd so the favorites were gone quick and the others were slowly getting eaten while waiting for new pizza's. The place wasn't packed and not everyone got the buffet. The salad bar was nice, lots of topping to choose from. The twist was okay, some pieces were soft to bite, some were hard. The cinnamon roll was a nice end to the meal. Overall, we left full and happy. The main downside was not easily getting the slice. Some pizzas had a lot of toppings, some weren't spread evenly. Good was good but customer service was horrible! Attended a birthday dinner.... and let's just say Employees were basically kicking us out. We are conscious of Restaurants closing time and always try to be out by closing time... this location closes at 9pm per hours on door. In party area, Employee walks in to clean around 745pm and takes 1 of 3 unused salad bar plates without asking. Salad bar closed before 8pm and Employees begin to sweep and vacuum. Family already cleaning up items (to help Employees a bit) and packing up to go when Employee tells us tab must be closed now as they have to close register. This was at 8 45pm When paying tab, my cousin was told to be out before 9pm if not they would charge an extra fee. Adriana was absolutely the most unpardonable and rude person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. After waiting for over two hours, she had the audacity to cancel my order for absolutely no reason. I have been a loyal customer for three decades, but I will never, ever order from here again. Stopped at T-Mobile to get new phones for the kids and welp- dinner time! So we stopped walked across the parking lot to Round Table. Arrived at 645pm, ordered and received our pizzas quickly, 7pm. They do offer a buffet option but I didn't see the pizza come out fast enough to enjoy. It was a little busy. But it's a great option if you're hankering for a lot of pizza. Oh! They even have a salad bar!! And free refills! They have a few TVs, a gaming section which is lackluster. The bathrooms were clean. We usually eat out after soccer games and out of convenience, we have decided to eat at this location. At one of our visits, the MANAGER accused my husband of NOT paying for an unlimited salad bar and we showed HER the receipt showing we paid. We brushed it off. Yesterday, my daughter was getting her second plate of salad and she accused her of only have a "1" trip salad bar. We had to prove again, we paid for unlimited salad bar. Since when are you guilty until proven innocent. Why not just ask instead of accusing and embarrassing paying customers? Why not use different colored plates for unlimited vs. 1 time trip to salad bar. Then this "MANAGER" said she couldn't contact the higher up manager because I wanted to speak to him/her. Really?! I've never done one of these yelp reviews. I feel it necessary. I was charged $64 for two pizzas for pick up, not delivery. This is a little bit more than what other pizza places charge, but not out of the ordinary these days. Still outrageous if you ask me. I'm going to pick up my pizzas and I asked for a few ranch dressings on the side nothing more. They told me in January, the owner decided to start charging $.75 for 2 ounce cup of ranch, and $1.75 for a 5 ounce cup of ranch. After paying $64 for two pizzas that I had to drive down and pick up myself, I found this infuriating. I know I know. It's just ranch dressing. That's not the point. To charge $64 for two pizzas on what costs under five dollars to make and then to try and charge extra for ranch dressing on the side is absolutely criminal and the owner should be ashamed of themselves. I will never visit this location or any other roundtable Pizza for that matter ever again. Pizza was mid at best. STOP GOUGING PEOPLE FOR THINGS THAT WILL NEVER IMPACT YOUR BOTTOMLINE! I was politely gets when I walked and pitched the lunch buffet. There weren't many people when I arrived so the pizza buffet was stocked up. The patrons started rolling in shortly after I arrived. We went with the large group after graduation at Miracosta College. It is about seven minutes from the college. The establishment was able to seat all of us, we ordered our pizza and it was out within 45 minutes. I will say that their salad bar was OK we got there and there were almost no toppings left. We had to ask three times for them to fill the toppings before we even got to a salad. Which was about 45 minutes in. The wings were not what I expect from a pizza place. We love our wings and these wings were just OK. Not crunchy even when we asked them to be baked. They were not meat. They were kind of tiny wings. It was a clean spot. there are so many better pizza places who serve quality good food and the customer service is better. I visited this location yesterday and had to encounter Raquel who was so rude. I mean rude to the point of I was ready to ask for a refund and cancel my order. She should stop working here if she hates her job this much because when I walked in, she was hunched over the counter, she seemed irritated whenever I asked a question about the menu and I always drink water so I had a water cup and every time I went to the soda fountain, I turned around and she was staring me Down. I can buy 100 cups of soda lady. I also asked if I can get a few banana peppers off the salad bar and she said no I can't. I have to pay for them. I said I paid for them on my pizza, but I also like banana peppers raw as well and she said it'd be $1.75, which is no big deal but when I told my sister about her my sister lives close to that location and goes there. She said yeah she's always rude and mean and she said that's interesting. She would charge you because there's been occasions that she allowed them to get something off the salad bar and mind you this was around 7:45 PM. The restaurant doesn't close until nine. The salad bar was pretty much already put away. I think she should stop eating the pizza and work on her attitude. "Yesterday, on April 5th, was my sister's birthday. I called the restaurant to make a reservation for 14 people at 8:00 pm, but was told no reservation was needed. We arrived around 7:30 pm and waited for everyone to gather before ordering pizzas for the party. We enjoyed some drinks while waiting, but when I went to place the order around 8:15 pm, I was informed that there were no more pizzas available. Despite explaining it was for a birthday party and all guests were already present, the staff couldn't offer a solution. Feeling panicked, I called other restaurants, but they were all fully booked due to it being a Friday night. Unfortunately, we ended up celebrating my sister's birthday in the parking lot with a cake in hand, as the restaurant couldn't accommodate us. It was an embarrassing and disappointing experience for everyone involved." My wife and I had the lunch buffet here today. It has been a while since we had been in for lunch. I was looking forward to having a nice salad and some tasty pizza. Round Table has been a favorite of mine for a long time. The salad bar portion of the buffet was pretty good. Veggies and condiments were fresh and tasted good. Unfortunately, the pizza portion of the buffet was not up to snuff. We got there about 40 minutes before the buffet would close and expected to have some fresh and delicious pizza. There were several varieties of pizza on the warming table but looked (and tasted) like it had been there a while. The staff did end up making a couple of fresh pizzas which were far better than what was on the table. I did ask if they would put some mushrooms on a pepperoni pizza as was told they don't take special requests. This surprised me a bit as other RT locations have done this for us over the years. There was a very nice person who was cleaning up the tables in the dining area who was a great representative for the company. Honestly, not sure I want to come back for the buffet but I will probably order a whole pizza at some point in the future. A little disappointing today. read more

Overpriced but ordered from here because it was the closest place offering anchovies that my friend and I were craving. Spent over $50 on a King Arthur Supreme and some wings. Got home with the pizza to discover...no anchovies. Tried calling the restaurant for about an hour, about 10 calls. Every time either (1) no one answered, or (2) we were put on hold only to be hung up on. I am not exaggerating about the numbers of calls. Only 1 time nobody answered. The other 9 or so times somebody answered, placed us on hold, then hung up on us before we could even explain why we were calling. If you're going to charge a premium, provide premium service. This place doesn't even provide the bare minimum of getting the order right, never mind doing anything reasonable to correct mistakes. It's worth noting there were literally no other customers there when we showed up to get our pizza. This is probably why. The locals know already what I just learned. UPDATE: Updating to two stars because we finally reached them by phone today and they refunded us for the pizza. But - and this is pretty frustrating - they told us that they don't even have anchovies right now. So they charged us for a pizza they knew they couldn't even make. Not cool. read more

Zero stars. And I mean a HARD, absolute zero stars! How in the world is this place even in business? This particular Round Table Pizza has the worst service I've experienced in the last five years. Avoid this "restaurant" like the plague. Here's why... I've tried ordering online twice, and there were huge problems both times. On my first order, they screwed up the pizza toppings and were 45 minutes late delivering my food. On my second order, they didn't deliver the food at all; I even put specific instructions on how to get to my home just to be safe. When I called about my missing second-order (just now) I spoke to a young woman who immediately put me on hold for ten minutes. When she finally returned, she asked me why I had called; she had apparently forgotten to check on an order that was already an hour late. It turns out, they either didn't deliver the food or delivered it to the wrong place; she couldn't figure it out definitively. She never apologized for the mess and was noticeably upset that she had to process a refund. During this painful 15-minute phone call this young lady asked for my address and order number four times. She just couldn't bother to pay attention, which has been my experience with the entire staff here. After she confirmed that the refund was processed she hung up the phone without saying a word. I make it a point to NOT be a PITA with restaurants and their staff and rather just come here to be honest about the experience---because it's not worth getting seriously upset over. Even still, I'm pretty blown away with how poorly this Round Table Pizza is being run. Corporate needs to step in, terminate every person at this location including management, shut down the store, and start over again in six months with new staff. Bottom line here is this: worst service in years, backed by a staff that is fantastically rude and incompetent. The food is just okay. Go literally anywhere else. Absolute total nightmare. read more

I came and picked up my pizza today and there was a lady from a delivery service asking to use the restroom and wash her hands. The kid at the register and the manager told her no. The driver said CA law requires them to let her. Still they told her no. The restrooms are totally blocked. I guess this means nobody that's delivering from them right now is allowed to wash their hands. Gross?? Unreasonable.
