Leo was our server, he was wonderful, we never wanted for anything. He kept drinks refilled and was so welcoming. He had many tables and greeted everyone and remembered drinks. We all got the lunch unlimited. My husband loves the clam chowder soup, said it's the best he has ever tasted. Our daughter loves the chicken wings and dessert. They are tasty. My favorite is the salad bar. I get a whole plate of samplers of make your own salad and the two salads they had prepared plus Neptune salad (fake crab). Delicious!!!! Bummer the kid age cut off is 10, most places it's 12. Our daughter is 11, ouch. Hard to pay $20 for 3 chicken wings and an ice cream but we were already there. Not really worth it but maybe we will return just husband and myself one day. Place pretty was clean. Leo was wonderful. Food was good. Thank you. read more

Super Solid 4 1/2 stars!! Wifey & I were in Oceanside for our nephew's wedding, and we managed to find this Sizzler on a whim looking for some last-minute clothing items! OMG blast from the past! All the Sizzlers in Las Vegas closed many moons ago! So needless to say we were excited to go try it out! What a revelation! Sizzler really did an excellent job to rebrand the remaining restaurants! Looks soo good, soo clean! Soo friendly! Our hostess at the front cashier stand was excited that we were excited LOL! She said she loves when people come in and see that Sizzler is still up and running! Wifey & I managed to get in on the Weekday Lunch Special too: -Sirloin Steak (Hand Cut 6 0z.) with baked potato - $15.99 Then we both added the Unlimited Salad Bar to our lunch orders for only $10.99 each! AND WOW it's like the salad bar here is the star of the show! Over 50 fresh items daily including soups, a hot bar, and desserts! Count us IN! After ordering and taking a seat - your server comes out to check your receipt and lets you know your order will start cooking shortly. Then they also will ask you, "Would you like some Cheese Toast?" OH Heavens, yes indeed we do! It's been years! While you're waiting for your entree is when you get the chance to hit the salad bar if you purchased it alongside your meal, in my opinion you should NOT skip out! Buy it, it's worth the extra scratch! So many excellent options on the salad bar - lots fresh veggies and prepared salads, a rotation of 4-5 soups, a hot bar that includes chili, pasta & sauce, chicken wings, and even taco meat with all the fixins' so you can make yourself hard- or soft-shell tacos or even a taco bowl! The crew at Sizzler even keeps the salad bar fully stocked and super clean too, hygiene is a plus! Everything tasted fresh and not sitting for long! We went back to the salad bar so many times for lunch, we were STUFFED by the time our entrees came! Our waitress beat us to the punch though, she knew and brought us 2 take-out trays - leftovers for later! Cheese Toast was just as buttery & crunchy & cheesy as I remember, the nostalgia hits you! Before packing up our sirloins to go I did check to see if the quality was good. Great cut of meat grilled to a perfect medium! We ended up eating our steaks and baked potatoes for a late dinner that night in our hotel room. Even after a light nuke in the microwave the entrees were still super tasty! Sure beat a cold pizza that day! Such value at this Sizzler, very clean, very good service! I wish I could remember our server's name she was so lovely to us and treated us well - all we remember was that she used to live in Las Vegas before selling her house and moving to Oceanside! Since this is basically one of the closest Sizzler's to us now, hopefully on our next trip back out to California we'll be back! Gonna need extra helpings of that Cheese Toast! read more

One of the restaurants i have to stop by whenever I'm in Oceanside. If you're craving for seafood, meat or both. This is the spot. It has an option to add an all you can eat soup, salad , pasta, taco bar. Our server Jovilee is attentive and anticipates what we need on our table. The ambiance is spacious well lighted and clean. I've been coming here all my life, but hadn't been to this location in about 10 years. Could definitely tell the upgrades and personally I think the salad bar has really improved. Great service from all staff members and such kindness too. My husband and I each had their steak and lobster dinner. I asked for medium rare and my steak was perfect. We love coming here for weekday lunch when prices are a little lower , about $18 for adults and $11 for kids. The salad bar is the star: plenty of greens and toppings, soups, fried chicken wings, noodles and meatballs, and that classic soft-serve ice cream at the end (my kid's favorite part). We also love the cheesy Texas toast that's complementary at the table. It's a little greasy, but oh so good. PSA Don't sleep on Sizzler! Not only have they renovated their remaining locations, they've also upped their quality of food and service. I can't say enough about my visit. Service was excellent. Both Zully and Hailey G provided above and beyond service. The place was clean. It has lots of parking and the dining area was super comfy. The food was fresh and replenished often. When you can't decide what to eat, this is the place to be. Don't be intimidated by their expansive menu. There's lots of options and all at reasonable prices. They even have exclusive deals for seniors! I'm far from taking advantage of these offers but am glad they make it available. I enjoyed the salad bar, which had fresh made salads and soups. It also had a good variety of fruit! Also, my steak was just the perfect amount of food which came with a loaded potato. The complimentary cheese bread was a great addition as well. We went back to sizzler Oceanside just for the Amazing service from LEO our waiter. We had a group of 6 & he has the best personality for this job. We all had the salad bar was fresh and had my favorite spinach with cranberries & slices almonds Of course the best & fresh chicken wings. LEO is running the whole shift with a smile. My hubby and I go here once every blue moon. For this review, I brought my relatives from Maryland and Philippines as we met up after church on a Sunday. As with other reviews, it is pricey and sometimes the service is slow but for our group of 15, we got taken care of. They originally reserved the seating area for us but my relatives decides to move closer to the exit door because they have little ones. Overall, food was great! Our waitress and the supervising manager were checking in on us. It was my relatives first time at Sizzler. Highlight of course was the cheese toast. Will be back. I haven't been here since I was in junior high. They took it away and have brought it back. When I went last night, it was still the same just updated a little. Still an old school restaurant feel (80's, early 90's). The service was great. It was a little tight using my walker but it worked out. They are accommodating. The food was ok. Steak was cooked just right and it was just enough, shrimp were nicely battered just as I remembered them. The mashed potatoes were good and the veggies were perfect not soggy or hard and perfect flavor. The salad bar has a lot of options especially if you are a picky eater. First time here in several years (decades) but my grandma was craving it. You order upfront not typical sit down restaurant but Leo was awesome! He worked by himself and still had a great attitude and was super helpful. Counter ordering service with a server who brings your drinks and serves throughout your meal. Kids tri tip meal was overcooked but the kids ate most of their protein and enjoyed their fries. My partner and i ordered the sirloin and lobster. Steak and lobster cooked as ordered MR and tender lobster with an extra plate. The salad bar is fresh. The cheese toasts are good. We would prefer fresh chicken soup instead of canned soup. The salad bar includes a drink, but the cashier didn't inform us and tried to sell us one. The best part is LEO. Leo has the trait of someone who loves his job--genuinely kind and sweet. Be aware, the hostess underhandedly had us choose a drink from a drink menu that we later found out was a premium drink menu and we unknowingly were charged extra for the drinks. Sizzler is good in California?! As an east coast person, Sizzler has all but disappeared or morphed into a place you would go out of your way to avoid. Somehow in SoCal we are still in the 90s and Sizzler is a solid family restaurant. The buffet was clean and well stocked and fresh. Server was super nice and great with refills and the restaurant was clean. It's not gourmet but it's a fun reminder of when quality mattered in restaurants like this. read more
