They got my take out order wrong?? 1 x Steak & Crispy Shrimp (1 x $30.99) = $30.99 1 x Upgrade to New York Strip (1 x $15.00) = $15.00 1 x Well 1 x Baked Potato 1 x Butter Blend 1 x Sour Dressing 1 x Chives 1 x Works (Butter, Sour Cream & Chives) 1 x Cheese Toast --------------------------- I'm staying at resort about 15 minutes away. Order my meal to go. I had to drive back here to get a brand new order made. What a major disappointment. My complete order is on the receipt. My order is missing crispy shrimp. My meal has been delayed additional 45 minutes. The manager has been offering free desserts and complimentary drinks. I have declined. Please check your to go order before leaving the restaurant. It cost me gas$$ and time.

One of the restaurants i have to stop by whenever I'm in Oceanside. If you're craving for seafood, meat or both. This is the spot. It has an option to add an all you can eat soup, salad , pasta, taco bar. Our server Jovilee is attentive and anticipates what we need on our table. The ambiance is spacious well lighted and clean. You will see staff refilling food on the buffet area, plates removed in a timely manner. No wonder this placed is packed with diners.

I've been coming here all my life, but hadn't been to this location in about 10 years. Could definitely tell the upgrades and personally I think the salad bar has really improved. Great service from all staff members and such kindness too. My husband and I each had their steak and lobster dinner. I asked for medium rare and my steak was perfect. Everything was delicious and filling and a great price for a night out!

We love coming here for weekday lunch when prices are a little lower , about $18 for adults and $11 for kids. The salad bar is the star: plenty of greens and toppings, soups, fried chicken wings, noodles and meatballs, and that classic soft-serve ice cream at the end (my kid's favorite part). We also love the cheesy Texas toast that's complementary at the table. It's a little greasy, but oh so good. It's not fancy, but it's reliably good value if you're hungry and want something easy and familiar. Think comfort food, friendly vibes, and a side of nostalgia. Thank you Ginan for the awesome service!!

PSA Don't sleep on Sizzler! Not only have they renovated their remaining locations, they've also upped their quality of food and service. I can't say enough about my visit. Service was excellent. Both Zully and Hailey G provided above and beyond service. The place was clean. It has lots of parking and the dining area was super comfy. The food was fresh and replenished often. When you can't decide what to eat, this is the place to be. Don't be intimidated by their expansive menu. There's lots of options and all at reasonable prices. They even have exclusive deals for seniors! I'm far from taking advantage of these offers but am glad they make it available. I enjoyed the salad bar, which had fresh made salads and soups. It also had a good variety of fruit! Also, my steak was just the perfect amount of food which came with a loaded potato. The complimentary cheese bread was a great addition as well. Came hungry and left full without breaking my wallet. Enough to even treat my friend who joined me. Whether you're looking to dine by yourself or with a family, you won't go wrong with Sizzler. Be sure to visit them soon to check out what you've been missing.

Everything was great, our server Zully was excellent. she went out of her way to help us celebrate our mothers 80th birthday, and we really enjoyed the food.

I haven't been here since I was in junior high. They took it away and have brought it back. When I went last night, it was still the same just updated a little. Still an old school restaurant feel (80's, early 90's). The service was great. It was a little tight using my walker but it worked out. They are accommodating. The food was ok. Steak was cooked just right and it was just enough, shrimp were nicely battered just as I remembered them. The mashed potatoes were good and the veggies were perfect not soggy or hard and perfect flavor. The salad bar has a lot of options especially if you are a picky eater. It wasn't superb but it will do. It gets 4 stars for a decent meal.

I recall it being a delicious and a wonderful dining experience. I have been looking forward to bringing my family and friends here all week. I am giving this restaurant 3 stars, because their food is still AMAZING and their staff is super nice and I believe deep down inside that they just had a REALLY OFF night. We had reservations for a party of 9 last night. The table was set up nicely and accommodated a few extra if needed, which I thought was cool. We started with some adult beverages: an Old Fashion, some Hotel Nacionals, a Fashionably Late, and a couple of beers. Everything started great. Dennis, our server was very cool and friendly and gave great suggestions. We ordered the mac and cheese sides and they were delicious with huge pieces of savory bacon in them. We also ordered the brussel sprouts which we never received and didn't even realize it until the very end when we received the bill because of all the other issues we had... but we'll get to that in a moment. But let's talk about what did go well... the delicious food we did get. We ordered the Pig burger which was sooo good and came with crispy fries. The fish for the fish and chips were 2 huge pieces and were delicious, came with yummy seasoned waffle fries and the tiniest tartar sauce and malt vinegar. I had to request 4 more for that amount of fish, but no big deal. Dennis brought out as much as we needed. Their ranch sauce is really good too. Don't judge just because it's a little peachy'ish and looks thousand island'ish. lt's still some very good ranch. My son said he really tasted the bitterness of beer in the fish batter but maybe it was just in that piece he had; I could not taste it in the piece of fish I ate. The short rib was really tender and delicious... the sauce was just a tad salty for my taste, but the mashed potatoes it sat on sort of balanced it out a little. The fried chicken thighs were really cooked well, juicy, crispy and seasoned perfectly. We ordered two Teres Major steaks. One rare with mashed potaoes, one medium rare with grits. The rare one came out medium and without any mushrooms, took FOREVEEERR to remake (the rest of the table was almost done with our meals...& not sure why it took so long since the restaurant wasn't that busy and it's a RARE steak). The one with grits came with mashed potatoes instead of grits. Dennis was super nice and apologetic and corrected both mistakes when we let him know. He then brought us a big bowl of grits. The manager (blonde gal) came over and apologized for the mistakes tonight, letting us know that usually does not happen, and let us know she'd be comping one of our steaks and would be bringing a dessert on them. We thought that was very nice of them. However, as nice a gesture. we never did receive that dessert. My husband handed Dennis his credit card before the bill arrived (before our friends could try to pay the bill) and not sure why but our bill never came, and we never saw Dennis again either after he boxed up our leftovers and took the card. We had to ask another server for our bill because we had been waiting for quite a while... and needed to head out as we were already late to meet friends at a lounge. The other server came back with my husband's credit card, the bill (that's when I finally noticed the brussel sprouts sides we never got but were charged), and let the server know. He immediately apologized and took it off the bill. So I'm not sure what happened last night at Flying Pig...missing and charged brussel sprouts, steak overcooked, missing mushrooms, mashed potatoes instead of grits, then a comped dessert promised but never delivered. WOW. I had to apologize to my friends. I was totally hyping up this place and it underdelivered. They automatically got their 20% gratuity for our party of 9 but anyone that knows me knows how much I absolutely love great service combined with exceptional food and that could have easily been a 30-35% tip had they been on their A game! We only come to Oceanside once a year. Maybe we will try again next year. Maybe not. This trip was about trying out a bunch of different restaurants and giving honest reviews on dishes/businesses we haven't tried before, or in a long time. Do better guys.

The steaks overdone, mealy and cold. Could not bring ourselves to eat them. we took them home for the dogs. Same with the prime rib. There is no way this was cooked that day. Cold And tough. Mashed potatoes were undercooked chopped up baked potatoes. 1-2 inch cubes. The vegetables so raw they couldn't be pierced with a fork. They seemed to come from a bag. Everything seems to come from a bag. The salad was good I just wish there had been decent bread available. The bread was day old hockey puck hard. I ordered the carrot cake hoping to end on a good note. The restaurant claims it is made daily, in house. It came to the table with runny icing because it had been microwaved. Server told us it comes from a bakery once a week at most. $300+ meal that teenage boys wouldn't touch. Keep in mind this is no exaggeration. Believe the other negative review. I don't know where the positive reviews are coming from. And don't believe the promises seen on the Hunter website. That award winning prime rib must have been awarded decades ago

I was very skeptical to believe this was actually so good, but it was! The textures are really great; the florets are crunchy and the stem is a soft almost buttery texture. The flavors with the nuts and sauce are fantastic. It's a lot for 2 people, and would be ideal for 4 people to share. - market fish 12/10. The best thing we ate, wow it was so good. Every staff member I asked said this was their favorite dish, so of course, I ordered it. The fish was a steelhead trout. It was cooked perfectly, and the sauce, mushrooms, salmon roe, and kale perfectly complemented the dish. The portion is great! It's 6.5 oz, so easy to share. I would come back just for this. - chicken 8/10. This is a good bbq chicken, but it's just good bbq chicken. Nothing special, but tasty nonetheless. I only had a bite since I'm mostly pescatarian, but my husband gladly ate the whole thing. The dining experience is also great! The ambience is beautiful, but the inside is quite loud. We sat by the open door in the back, which was great. I'd either sit in the back again or try to sit outside because of the noise. The service was spot on. Heads up that they do charge a 4% surcharge, which is also taxed.

We settled on Oceanside in hopes of finding good food, as our weekend (end of Feb) had been full of a poor results. This place came up as very well rated on Yelp, as my friend and I searched for places to eat. It was a Saturday night with great weather. The red flag I should have read into was that the lone guy working that night was a one man show. He was doing it all in the front of the house. I tried to get us a table to sit outdoors but he just couldn't get to the table to clean it. After about 20 minutes he finally came and just moved all the bowls to the empty table next to it and wiped it down. When my friends finally arrived we all sat down to sticky menus that had NO descriptions. What you see on the website is exactly what they have on the menu. We had to wait to ask the server/host what each menu item meant. It took a while to get our food from when we ordered. Thank goodness for good company, I didn't clock it. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! There was a party who had been sitting for a while before we got there and a kiddo took a bite of pizza and was crying, screaming from it being so spicy. With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. No one in our party finished our food or took any of the leftovers home. Save yourself the trip, not worth trying the "unique foods".
