There was a pretty dark period of time for Round Table Pizza. For awhile it was greasy, the insides looked medevil and for a value that could only suit King Arthur. RTP is on par with Oggi's being the bottom end version of one. I tried the Hawaiian it was actually pretty tasty and filling for 2people. They have definately changed up the ingrediants from used tomatoes and circus animals to something higher ranked than a high school student trying to go to Harvard. It wasn't that expensive either for the $13 dollar catagory w/coupon. No beer or alternative entree's available. Althought you can throw the kids a few quarters, clear off someone elses garbage and try to relax in the semi-noisy environment. we went here tonight and the bathroom and the entire place was filthy. this place needs a good health dept inspection pronto. the salad bar was a mess so we hoped at least the pizza would be good. grease was pouring out of the box. there was no crust at all just grease laden cheese and barely any sauce. totally let down. we have gone to round table in california for years, but this is the bottom basement location. We order two pizza from Round Table last night for my GF birthday party. The delivery man Luis gave us the pizza and we handed him the cash + tip and shut the door. After 5min we realized we gave him $20 more than necessary. We tried to see if he was still in the parking lot, but had no luck. 2 hours later we were sitting in the spa minding our own business until we saw Luis again. He comes up to us and hands us the $20 telling us we gave him to much money. WOW!!! At this point we were extremely surprised that he came back to give us the 420 back. Once he handed me the money I told him he can keep it for being such a good person. He declined the $20 and went his way. I'll start out by saying the pizza is still decent...but you should have it delivered. The place hasn't been remodeled FOREVER and it's dirty and smells like carpet that's soaked with disgusting layer upon layer. Yes you can let your kids run free...so free they can play handball in the dining area by the bathrooms while you eat. I have kids but that's ridiculous. I've been eating here over the past 20 years since I was a kid. We typically order Round Table once every week or two for our weekly card games. I enjoy delivery more than eating in, the cool down time makes it taste better in my opinion. I would use the word zesty to describe the pizza. Their web site has coupons but it now shows Encinitas no longer has them online. Dining in is a good place for kids, my niece and nephew love the pizza and the hydro thunder arcade game and pinball. Round Table and Bronx Pizza in San Diego are my fave two pizza spots in San Diego county. read more

I love round table pizza, great pizza, way better than dominos or Pizza Hut. However they should probably set their delivery area a little wider. Their system lets them know by charging my order of a large King Arthur and side of 12 wings at $144. Which is what I would have to pay if they go two blocks outside their delivery area where I live. For nostalgia it gets 5 stars... been coming here since I was 5. Pizza is always good but dinged this place 1 star because as far back as I can remember it has never been that clean. I understand they have lots of kids running around playing arcade games with pizza in their grubby, tiny, creepy little hands... but run a vacuum around a little more often and it would be so much nicer. I normally love Round Table but today was horrible. I called in my order and told the girl I spoke with that I was ordering with a $5 dollar coupon. She said that was fine. I go to pick up my pizza and left the coupon at home but I had it on my phone. The lady in charge would not accept it because she said they only take the smaller coupons off of the phone. The person I spoke with on the phone did not say that, but the lady would not change her mind and had a bad attitude too. So I said I was going to drive home to get the physical coupon, and then the lady began making fun of me for driving home and was like you might as well pay the full price. Her making fun of me did not make me feel like an appreciated customer, in fact I felt disrespected the whole time I spoke with her. I went home and got the coupon and I came back got the pizza, brought it home, I ordered a large gourmet veggie, half of the pizza had chicken on it. I ended up throwing out those slices since my family and I are vegetarians. The pizza was a waste of money and I did not even get to enjoy it. I did not even want to drive back to Round Table because I did not want to deal with that rude lady again. First of all the employees need to be trained well regarding coupons, second they need to have better customer service training especially the lady in charge, and third your employees need better attention to detail because I ordered a veggie and received chicken on half of it. I like the pizza at Round Table but the management is very unfriendly. I've had problems with them in the past but what happened recently just pissed me off. My wife ordered a heart pizza and was told they still had some left. The person who answered the phone went to make sure if there were some left. The phone was still on and we could hear the guy who answered talking to one of the lady managers. He asked if they had any heart pizzas left and the lady manager said they do have some left but to tell us that they didn't have any. Why tell us that there were no more heart pizzas? Even though I live right down the road it took an hour to get to me and wasn't even hot when it arrived, it also was mangled like whom ever had cut it had no idea how to wield a pizza cutter and just guessed as they where going. I ordered a Pizza at 5:00 pm yesterday 9/4/2017. on their website. It asked when I would like it delivered and I put 6:15 in as a delivery time. It replied delivery time would be ASAP.I paid for the pizza/delivery charge/tax/and tip on my credit card. Well at 7:15 we still have our pizza,so I called and was told they never got the order after 10 minutes of them checking while I was on hold. Did they say sorry?. This is a great place to bring the kids, give them a roll of quarters and let them go wild while you eat with adults! I love RT pizza and have been eating it since I can remember, at least since I was 5 years old. The pepperoni and gourmet veggie are great. The salad bar always looks sketchy though. the pizza and the service are very good. And what is REALLY GREAT is that on Thursday evenings, starting around six-thirty, they have blue grass music. Players come in and start and it is really well done, even though it's more or less pick-up picking. We have not seen anywhere like this locally, it is a real treat. Ordered online, easy. Roundtable called me 15 minutes later to confirm what I requested on one pizza, great! Delivery didn't show up after 45 minutes, so we called to see what's up. They said they couldn't "find" our order in their system. Odd, since someone called ME to confirm the order. Finally after arguing that we really did place an order and they needed to figure it out on their side, the woman finally found it. She said the driver was on his way. So, over one hour later we get our pizza delivered...and with a $4 delivery charge that was never mentioned! Wow, sorry - not going to consider Round Table for future business. I've been going to this Round Table since I moved to north county around 1988. The pizza is done right on 99.9% , and their sausage topping is one of the best I've had. I prefer their pan crust but their original is very good too. It's a little pricier than your typical fast food pizza, but worth it. It can get a little hectic when kids' teams or parties are being held; and try to avoid the restrooms. read more
