    The salad bar/deserts

Most of the staff are friendly. Food was great, good selection. Price on par with other establishments. Discounts for Seniors 10%. One minor problem, they dont like waste, so be sure to take only what you can eat. Decor is slightly bare and outdated. But overall a good experience.

    Everything was fresh and delicious.

Soft drinks are included in the affordable price of this wonderful buffet. My favorite items were the baked crab and delicious long green beans. Will come to Escondido again just to eat here.

Sunday Buffet has sushi, egg rolls, lobster rolls, orange chicken, beef & broccoli, thick noodles, and baked oysters.

This buffet experience cost $$ (the most on Sundays). The variety of foods was great. There was even pizza and fries for the picky child eater. The restaurant itself has soft wood tones. It would have been better if the dirty forks weren't in buckets right next to where customers can fill up their soda. There were two kind ladies going around each table picking up finished plates. Overall, I had a great time with my large party. Everyone could fill their plates how they like. Go for more when they like.

Our family have been dining here for many years. The staff have become a second family to us. They are very welcoming and the food is always served fresh and very appetizing. The prices are very reasonable for a buffet style restaurant. It is self serve and includes beverage. We recently held a Celebration of Life for a loving member of our family. He dined there on a regular basis and his request was to have his Celebration of Life at Fasia Buffet. It was held in the restaurant's private banquet room which I believe has a capacity of 90' people. We were able to set up nice tables with memories of our passing family member. A nice feature was the large flatscreenTV which we were able to stream a video/slideshow of memories. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are dining for lunch or dinner or a large private party in their banquet room.

Nasty how does code allow employees to put their dirty drinks in the ice bin! Nasty! Call code enforcement

This place really lost their touch every time I come it's all mushrooms no chicken on the mushroom chicken you told him to replace it. They take about half an hour to put it in so that you don't eat it so basically you have to eat what else is left over. They keep the Employees drinks in the icemaker, which is absolutely disgusting. How many germs do those bottles have and they're touching everyone's drinking ice. They need to get code enforcement over here.

The ambiance isn't great, but the food is delicious. Can't really comment on the service because you get your own drinks and food.

The place smells decent, decently easy to find so no issues there. Cleanliness: the Buffett definitely needs some upgrading and cleaning. The rug smells and feels sticky to walk on, the counter area was clean but the ice cream section needed a deep clean, the cones were out of the packing and stale. The sprinkles were covered in ice cream and all over the place. The machine was covered in dried ice cream and caked on. I did not go into the restrooms, so I am not sure Food: cold. Everything except for the hibachi I got was cold. Shrimp, pork, chicken, all cold. They have an okay variety of deserts but other than the coffee and orange ones they were pretty bad. The flavor of the food was good, but the temperature of it was what really grossed me out and worry about food poisoning. It was during dinner at around 4pm so crab legs were included. My daughter devoured them and so did I. Best part of the buffet. Customer service: the waiters were very nice and kept our table clear. As soon as they notice we had our empty plates they would come around and grab them. I did notice and maybe it was just for that moment but we did get different waiters just grabbing our plates. Maybe they are doing a system where everyone waits on every table. Whatever they were doing it worked! We did mention at the end that our food was cold after we had paid and all because we were asked how we liked it. She did apologize and told us we should have brought up sooner so they could warm it up. That since it was slow the food gets cold. It was nice she apologized and all, but working in the food industry myself it is not any of the customers job to remind you to keep an eye on food temps. And you're supposed to keep food hot. Regardless they were nice. Would I come back? No. Would I recommend it? No. $60 for two adults $9 for my 4 yr old and $5 for my two yr old. So basically $80 for a family of 4 for cold food. Flavor was good though. So if you want to try it maybe you're lucky and get hot foods

This may have been my first visit to a Shakey's where I wasn't wearing a baseball uniform…read more I think the last time I went to Shakey's (not this location) was after a Little League game--one that I played in. That was [insert ridiculously large number here] years ago. There used to be Shakey's locations everywhere. If you played sports as a kid way back when, your team went to Shakey's to celebrate a win. Or you drowned your sorrows in pitchers of Coke or Root Beer after a loss. The location in Escondido is massive. The main dining room is humongous and they even have a nice video game room. The pizza is about on par with Pizza Hut quality and that's fine with most people, especially if you have young kids. And, of course, what visit to Shakey's is complete without some Mojo Potatoes? Basically, they are well-seasoned thick potato slices. I like them and there's also some added nostalgic value there. On the negative side, our food took forever to make which was a bit of a drag. Also, there were multiple uncleaned tables on a Saturday night that remained uncleaned during our entire visit. My guess is the restaurant was short-staffed (both front and back of house) which doesn't make a lot of sense on a busy Saturday night. They've got beer and a salad bar (now that's a real unicorn these days) and you can even get anchovies on your pizza (save your hate, they're good). They also have TVs everywhere so if there is sports being played somewhere, this is the place to watch it. I probably wouldn't return for the pizza and certainly not for the dirty tables. The Mojos are solid and if you have young children, are looking to catch a game, or if you want some decent nostalgia, it's worth a visit. Bonus points if you come dressed in your old Little League uniform.

My go too is the beef schwarma lunch special, it includes the schwarma, rice, salad and hummus. You can add on bread for an extra cost and it's a bigger than your head. The schwarma is seasoned very well, and not chewy. The rice is also very good, and flavorful. The hummus is one of my favorites, although this time it was a little thicker than usual. I love the dressing they use on the salad, I could eat a whole bowl of the stuff. The salad had a lot of cucumber, cut in big chunks, which is how i like it. The bread is enough for 2 people at least, so i would keep that in mind. 2 of us shared it and we still had some left over that we couldn't finish. The portions in general are very big, for me it was enough to dance leftovers of everything except the salad. I think this is a must to try if you live nearby, or even if you are just in the area, i don't think you will be disappointed.
