I'm a huge fan of Round Table but make no mistake, all locations aren't created equal. This was my first time at this location and I went in for pickup. Everyone was friendly. That's always a good start. My pizza was ready when I arrived and piping hot. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. I couldn't have asked for more. My family ordered wings, twists and pizza. We were very pleased. If you eat there I saw that they have games to entertain the kids or the kid in you. read more

Disgusting. Can't do it anymore as it's the second time I've gotten food poisoning from this place. The older guy putting out 'clean' forks and knives into the dispenser for customers, dropped a few in the floor then picked them up and put them in the dispenser. Then I'd watch the guy go around clean the tables never wash his hands and do it again with the clean silverware and cups do drinking. He'd pick up the forks and knives by the ends that people put in their mouth and then put them out for people to eat. The owner is right there watching him. He knows it's happening. First off, I my family and I have loved Round Table since the early 80's. I grew up going to Round Table after baseball, soccer, softball, for birthday parties, and just to treat myself! I love the smell, I love the spicy sauce, I love the pan pizza! It's nostalgic, it's comforting. It's just delicious. Not all Round Table are created equal. This one. This one is fabulous. When I owned my bakeries, I would treat the staff to several large pizzas during our busy holidays and we rejoiced in it's tastiness. Although, I no longer own the bakeries, and I no longer participate in little league, I still yearn for the Round Table... I still enjoy stuffing my feelings with their cheesy, saucy, goodness. My family and I really like Round Table pizza a lot so we frequently order from them, particularly this location. We hardly ever have major issues with them and have generally found the employees at this location to be courteous and accommodating. We did, however, find our last experience unpleasant and unacceptable. We ordered from them a few nights ago for carry-out and when I got home and started eating a slice, I found a 4"-5" long black hair baked into my pizza. I was grossed out but decided to not make a big deal out of it so I brushed it off. Then, as we continued eating, my MIL also found a shorter black hair in her slice. Again, we were grossed out but we let it go. Then, as we continued eating I realized that all three of our pizzas were made as thin crust pizzas even though I ordered regular crust for all of them. Not sure if this was them making a mistake on the order or if it's some sort of sneaky cost-cutting thing they're doing, which because of higher food costs and such, I have been finding this lately when getting food from restaurants/food establishments -- things like, watered down salad dressings, or skimping on toppings and ingredients. Luckily, we like their thin crust, so even though we all wanted regular crust this time, we decided to not make a thing of it and let it go. Yesterday though, my husband ate a slice of leftover pizza and again, there was a long black hair in the pizza. That was the last straw. I'm officially upset now. At this point, I think it's pretty obvious that whoever was preparing the pizza wasn't wearing a hair net. Management clearly needs to make sure that everyone is following all health and safety procedures. They also need to pay closer attention to getting the orders right. I grew up going to round table with my mom at another location and was super sad when they closed. The pizza at other locations just didn't taste the same. Since then I've tried a few other locations and this one by far is the most comparable. I came back at least 4 times since my first visit, all within a couple months. The pizza is delicious, place is clean and never overly crowded and they serve lunch specials 7 days a week! With how things are now it's not often you can find a place offering lunch specials over the weekend! It's a major bonus for those of us that work during the week and can't even take advantage of those. If you sit in the larger open area by the TV it does tend to smell like cleaner. Not sure if it's because the bathrooms are nearby, but that would be the only downside. read more

Excellent pizza! Hasn't changed since I was a kid 40 yrs ago. Their thin crust is super crispy as well as tasty. The sauce is the best part of the dish. It is thick, nicely spicy and delicious. Best sauce on the planet! This location was awesome too. The ladies on duty were pleasant, attentive and efficient. They had my meal out in minutes. (Of course I went mid week at 2pm so the lunch rush had left.). But I'm sure they were just as efficient when busy as when just a few people were there. I ordered a King Arthur's Supreme. Mine was cheeseless due to food allergies but the other pizzas on the tables were piled high with crisp vegetables and meats sitting on top of a layer melty cheese. I grew up eating RT pizza but moved out of state as an adult. Every visit back to CA I make a point of having a pie. If you like a crisp crust with a spicy sauce then have a meal here! read more

I ordered a lunch special which was a 4 topping personal pizza with a bottled soda for $8. The deal itself is pretty good and I have a soft spot in my heart for Round table personal pizzas. We used to have them in high school. I also worked at Round Table in high school which was cool. I ordered online which I think is the way to go. They have their specials and coupons already loaded in. My pizza was nice and warm and they did a good job in the toppings. I wish the sauce was more zesty but it was still pretty good. I can usually count on Round Table for the consistency of their food. The salad bar is a bit above what you might expect, the pizza is delicious and the wings are tasty, crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Until I had the misfortune of coming to the Round Table in Encinitas. I ordered a beer on tap. I like my beer icy cold. The glass it came in was icy cold but the beer was barely cold, leaning more towards room temperature. Disappointing. I ordered Buffalo Wings. I didn't realize there were two kinds of Buffalo Wings, hot and mild, nor was I asked which I wanted. I wanted "hot" but got "mild". They were pretty much tasteless. On top of that they were really big and greasy. The texture felt like they weren't cooked enough. I didn't eat them and will take them home and pop them in my air fryer. Pizza. I ordered the Guineveres Garden Delight without bell pepper or tomato and added zucchini.. I sent the first one back. There was so little sauce on it that the first two bites I took were sauce free. They remade the pizza and it didn't taste much different and I didn't taste much sauce on it. The toppings however were plentiful. The usually delicious pizza was anything but however, lacking any flavor from their sauce, which I happen to really enjoy. I don't go out for pizza very often and was really looking forward to it. It has been such a disappointing experience I can't imagine Ever returning to Round Table. One last thing. No more real plates. They're all paper plates now. I should mention the staff. We've been going to the karate center next door for years. We've smelled the delicious pizza. We finally gave Round Table a go. We ordered ahead of time online. You can order to pickup, deliver or dine in. We dined in with bunch of families. I recommend online also because I find it's easier to navigate all the different "money saving" promotions the store is currently running. We arrived and our order was ready. There were plenty of tables for a Tuesday night (although we had called ahead to reserve some for our group). The staff was nice. The pizza was delicious. Slightly more expensive than other pizza but the ingredients are top notch (according to the internet). Here's where the last star went. The kids love Round Table because they have lots of quarter operated machines that spit out cheap toys the kids love for a few days before becoming trash. There are no Round Tables in Arizona where we live, so whenever we get back to CA and are near one, we try to get a pizza from here. Ordered via their app last night, pickup was a breeze. We went with a small Maui Zaui with pepperoni. $20.00 after tax/tip, hence the 3 stars. A small pizza has 6 slices in it. $20.00, for 6 slices. Pretty expensive (To be fair, that's always been true with Round Table....without a coupon, its really pricey $$$$) for a pretty small pizza. This pizza use to be my favorite pizza place to ever exist. Recent years haven't been so satisfying. My favorite speciality has always been the chicken garlic gourmet and still is. For a table for 2 we ordered 2 personal pizzas, wings, salad bar and drinks. For the price I expected to be extremely satisfied but I was not. The staff are always so helpful when ordering but the manager has always rubbed me wrong in this location. He's never been disrespectful to me but I've seen how he can be with his employees. Recently I haven't seen him burst out and I hope I won't see that anytime soon. Visited round table tonight with my entire family. Customer service was beyond horrible. Skinny dirty little white boy working the front needs to take a course in customer service. Horrible. When I brought my order back to tell him it was made incorrectly his response was "well I repeated it to you" Obviously I didn't hear him the way he obviously didn't hear me. That's not a response you give your customer who just came in with a group of 19 people & spent a money. When I'm working down in Encinitas (Cardiff), several times I order delivery from this location. I always place my order online and my order is always delivered "before" the scheduled delivery time. The drivers always ask me if I need any utensils or cheese and peppers. Very professional. I usually order wings and pizza and an occasional flatbread. The food always shows up hot and ready to go. Pizza is a big deal to me as I grew up in the pizza capitol of the world, however when you go generic you better be priced right. Round Table is a chain that sells average pizzas. It is not a sit down service place but order at the counter and stay or go. You're on your own. They do have one pizza that is worth coming for and that is their Artisan Pepperoni that is made with organic sauce and really fresh mozzarella, marinated roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions and fresh basil and roma tomatoes. I took that off of the box by the way. However it will set you back $11.99 for a small. Considering that we sat around dirty plates during the entire time we were there, as there was no staff cleaning the place, the dinning experience was in this case over-priced.
