Fish and brussel sprouts
Debby D.

We had a reservation but was not on their list. The host took a while to settle things. We wouldn't let us in until we found our reservation confirmation in our email. Be sure to have that on hand in case of system errors. There are lots of seating inside. It is a bit cramped inside and there are spills throughout the restaurant so you must be careful of slipping especially with food and kids. The food was okay. Honestly not the best. Craved meat station had dry meats and pizza was undercooked. The dough wasn't baked all the way through. My kids couldn't eat it. They just had Mac and cheese and milk. The fish was the best thing there. Dessert was also lacking, just a few pastries/cake options. Breakfast was a bit better but their juice machine was so gross. It tasted super water down. My kids couldn't drink it. They couldn't even finish a cookie from there. Overall off putting food. For the legoland experience I still wouldn't choose to eat here again.

Dinner Buffet- Flank Steak, Chilie Verde Pork Belly and pasta.

For a theme park hotel buffet, we enjoyed it. We ate the DINNER BUFFET. Fountain drinks are included. Unfortunately, there are no characters during the dinner buffet. We started eating around 7:40 pm. Dinner Hours (November) Saturday: 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm Price: Adults: $35.99 Kids: $20.85 Stations: * Carving Station * Asain Station * Taco Station * Salad Station * Kids Station * Soup * Dessert Kids Station had a good spread. Things my kids ate from the kids' area: - Pizza They replished this area a few times while we were there. I tried the pizza when it was first served and enjoyed it. - Chicken Tenders - Mac and Cheese - Corn & Carrots Items we liked: - Flank Steak, marbled potatoes, and vegetables. I would have really enjoyed it if it had been cooked medium-rare. - Chili Verde Pork Belly The pork belly was tender. - Fajitas They offered corn tortillas and flour. **Desserts** I was pleasantly surprised by the desserts. I liked: - Red Velvet Cake - Brownie - Chocolate Cake - Lemon Bar Service: You serve yourself. The staff did a great job clearing our table and checking in on us. Items at the buffet were replenished several times. We came to celebrate our friends daughters birthday. The birthday girl got a special brownie cookie with a candle, and the staff sang to her. Legoland is geared toward younger kids and has a height restriction on a handful of rides. We were once annual passholders. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine at this place, but if we were staying at the hotel or visiting the theme park, it would be a decent option--my kids like Legos, but are a bit older.

The buffet breakfast is included in the castle hotel lodging package . It is really convenient for morning early park access. And you need to make reservation before coming. It is part of the original Lego hotel, the decoration looks the same as couple years ago with other Yelpers posted. It is a little outdated but still neat and clean enough to enjoy. The majority selection food maintained the same old favorite: biscuits, gravy, bacon, ham, toast , oatmeal, French toast stick ( one of my favorite).... More details showed in attached photos. Definitely good choice for family with kids, the location convenience is unbeatable. Loaded your stomach and enjoy the fun later in the themed park.

Lego land restaurant. Pretty busy. A lot going on but pleasantly surprised how organized everything was. We had 8:30am reservations and the reservation line was a lot shorter than the walk in line. That alone was a plus. The kids were excited to serve themselves because it was their height stations. Food was good. Nothing special. The restaurant was a bit noisy but we didn't expect anything less because I had two kids under 7 with me that helped contribute to the noise. We left with fully belly's and were excited to start the day at Legoland. I was able to take a banana to go was came in handy like an hour later

Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast

Part of being staying at the Lego Hotel was getting a free breakfast? What would I know? I didn't pay for it. Ahaha. Advanced reservation is highly recommended. But the food was great. A typical American breakfast, eggs, sausages, bacons, biscuits, cereals, muffins, all sort of fruits, and many more. Coffee was greatfully strong but not thick and muddy like navy chief coffee. Lol. Food trays were constantly refilled. Although noisy with many happy children, it was a civil, courteous, and happy environment. Enjoy the meal when you are lucky enough to stay this resort hotel.

AYCE breakfast buffet at LEGOland Hotel. What you don't really know is... you need to make a reservation to dine in. It's included if you book a stay at the hotel. So it's worth a visit since you already paid for it. It has a decent variety that will satisfy the little ones. Staff do their best to clean and refill items but from my perspective they couldn't keep up. There was just so much going on inside especially with the little ones running around and making messes. I do love that there's a small section dedicated to the little ones where they can actually reach for the items themselves like muffins and fruits. Buffet items included: oatmeal, bacon, sausage, quiche, salad, fountain drinks, scrambled eggs, chocolate pancakes, etc. I definitely would come back if I was staying at the hotel again.

Honestly surprised at how good the food was at the Legoland resort. Usually at these locations they don't care about food quality since we're going wether the food is good or not. Breakfast is included when you stay at the hotel and it was delicious. We made reservations every morning to make sure we got the front of the line but we really didn't need them. We got sat right away every single day. There was a lot of food options from cereal, to biscuits and gravy. I loved that there was something for everyone. When you have kids and a picky husband it's hard for us to have something to eat at one location every day. I don't think I'll be back at Legoland for sometime (my kids are getting too old) but I would definitely recommend staying at the hotel and eating at Bricks.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!! Overpriced!! If we can give 0 star, this restaurant deserves 0!!!! Food choices and quality are terrible. We were seated @7:52. We were not told prior to our payment that buffet will close at 8:30pm. As soon as we enter, there were almost nothing. Empty pizza plates, mac and cheese not refilled. Tri tip gone . Water tasted juice. Also, very, very dirty. No one was maintaining the cleanliness. I have to ask the staff that the juices were all tasted water already. And that was only at 8pm. Definitely a ripoff!!! Paid $100 for a poor quantity and quality of foods. A highway robbery for what supposedly a family friendly restaurant!!

Hi are mimosas sold at the breakfast buffet?

Disclaimer: Had I not been part of a large gathering that was coming here, I doubt I ever would have come to this buffet. Pros: They had the World Cup playing on a "2017 New" 36ish inch TV with the tags still on it The food was mostly hot The cream cheese wontons were delicious, creamy, and crispy Cons: I tried like 11 items, and only the cream cheese wontons were hittin'. Out of the 11 items I tried, only 3-4 items were passable as decent The food was salty The black pepper chicken tasted like fish The food ended up giving my bubble guts the bubble guts-SHEESH! While there were loads of offerings, which I appreciate, the organization of said offerings were a bit strange. The hibachi was set-up going left to right, while the food stations on either side of it were going right to left, creating this crazy clash of people heading in opposite directions. It just wasn't for me.

This additional charge was not clearly explained to me when I arrived or before the service began. When I questioned the charge, the employee simply told me to "read the menu." I took a picture of the fine print because it was extremely difficult to read and was not clearly presented. If there is a mandatory gratuity or additional fee, it should be clearly disclosed to customers before they receive the service--not afterward. I explained that I did not agree to the additional $58 charge and that I was willing to leave a reasonable tip based on the original $140 amount I had already paid through Groupon. What made the situation even more upsetting was what happened while I was paying the bill in cash. My child was recording me with the camera while I made the cash payment, and the employee grabbed my child's arm because he was recording. I found it completely inappropriate for an employee to physically grab my child simply because he was recording me making the payment. I also put a picture of the menu where she told me I supposed to find the information about the extra charges. It's not legible. I was extremely disappointed by the customer service, the way my child was treated, and the lack of transparency regarding the additional charges. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this place.

There's also a very robust salad bar with a healthy number of offerings (including warm side dishes and soup) to complement the protein options. After we were seated, the meat merry-go-round began. It was just soooooo great. They served delicious cuts of filet mignon, sirloin, flank steak, picanha (my personal favorite), and sausage (chicken was also available but we stayed with the beef and pork). In addition, he served brought pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), french fries, and garlic mashed potatoes to the table as well. Everything was well-seasoned, the salad bar offerings fresh, and skewer offerings hot off the rotisserie/grill. The restaurant itself was really nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. Our waitress was fantastic and all the skewer-servers circulated frequently and were friendly (I've been to place like this where they try to hold out on the proteins - DEFINITELY NOT the case here). Overall, it was an excellent experience. The salad bar was missing a few more traditional Brazilian items but I nothing to cry about. Then, you can go back for more . . . again. And don't forget to grab a plate of desserts so you can taste those too. A rather sketchy customer crowd, but it is a buffet. BUT this one ain't it! There were a handful of items that were decently edible like mashed potatoes and gravy. The salad bar was also alright. It's difficult to mess up chopped lettuce mix because it only requires opening a bag or container and pouring the contents into the bin. Fried chicken was fine as long as you are able to get a piece or two. I noticed if you come in later in the evening, the food is not replenished so you are stuck with bottom of the bin caked on dry remnants. Here are the highlights: the server bringing the drinks and busing tables was doing her best to be happy and welcoming. One of the cooks was very courteous and also did her best to anticipate customer needs. They get two thumbs up! Now for the fun part: The clam chowder was too salty and had an aftertaste of old dirty towel, promising a fitting end to my evening with a bad tummy ache. The cook making the steak didn't seem to care about communicating a single word with the customers. Her sole purpose was to repeatedly flip something that looked like meat and point to a bin full of burned protein hockey pucks. I noticed how the line of hungry patrons grew with eager anticipation as she stopped flipping and started attempting to slice. As each diner finally walked away with something on their plate, she was free to disappear in the back to probably make more clam chowder. I watched a couple seated near me with steak on their plate. Husband was breaking a sweat trying to slice a piece while his wife was busy trying to gracefully eject something inedible from her mouth. Now on to the pinnacle of the meal - dessert time. There wasn't much left, so I chose a slice of pecan pie. It looked promising, like something you could pick up at the local grocery store, but that's where any similarity ends. It tasted old and stale, like it was made from expired corn syrup found at the bottom of the moldy basement. The soft serve ice cream machine was screaming like an exit door alarm every time someone pulled the arm to coax out some frozen ice milk. Then I spotted the highlight of the evening. I didn't think it was possible to mess up jello, but heck you learn something new everyday. I captured that masterpiece in a photo. Sadly, the owner of this location really needs to put many improvements in place. People do enjoy going to buffets and truly miss Souplantation and HomeTown Buffet. Golden Corral has the potential to fill this gap. It is in a good location anchored by Target with lots of parking to serve a busy neighborhood in oceanside. It also has a few employees who still care to do a good job. So please take the good location and good staff and make this Golden Corral a worthy business for hungry patrons looking to spend money at a place with quality food and variety.

My husband had just finished working six consecutive shifts at the fire department, and we were simply looking forward to a nice evening together. As we entered the parking lot, two men in a golf cart crossed in front of our vehicle. My husband honked, and there was later a brief verbal exchange about what had happened. There were no threats or physical confrontation from us, and we believed the matter was over. Later, while we were still seated at our dinner table, a woman we had never met approached us and began questioning us about the parking-lot interaction. She told us that she and her husband were club members, repeatedly referenced their membership, said she had never seen us there before, and told us she "didn't want any problems in the future." I cannot speak to what she intended, but the encounter made both of us feel intimidated, unwelcome, and extremely uncomfortable. We later learned that an Aviara Country Club member event was being held at the restaurant that evening. After dinner, we discovered that our vehicle had been extensively damaged while parked on the property. Carlsbad Police investigated, and surveillance footage from the property documented what occurred. An individual associated with the earlier parking-lot encounter became the alleged suspect during the investigation. Our vehicle ultimately sustained nearly $15,000 in repair costs. I am intentionally not identifying anyone or making any statement about guilt. I am simply describing what my husband and I experienced that evening. What has disappointed us most is Park Hyatt Aviara's response afterward. I personally contacted hotel management and was told that Hyatt was cooperating with police, which we appreciated. We were also told that someone from Aviara Golf Club management would contact us to discuss what happened. That call never came. I understand that a hotel cannot control the actions of every person on its property, and I am not assigning legal responsibility to Hyatt. My concern is how we were treated as guests after such a serious and disturbing experience. We experienced an uncomfortable confrontation during dinner, left to discover nearly $15,000 in damage to our vehicle, and had to involve law enforcement. Yet we never felt the level of concern, communication, or follow-through we expected from a five-star property. That is what has been most disappointing. We chose Park Hyatt Aviara because we expected exceptional hospitality and guest care consistent with the Park Hyatt name. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and profoundly disappointed. I sincerely hope Park Hyatt Aviara considers how guests are cared for when something goes seriously wrong during their visit.
