Escargot, frogs leg and foi gras
Amber L.

Right in front of the moulin rouge and very touristy but the food is good. Had the escargot then the frog legs and the foi gras. Flavors were nice. Everything was fresh. I would recommend a meal there for anyone in Paris for the first time.

Creamy Barrata. Very good!

Finished up day one in Paris at Rouge Bis and loved it! Spent a huge part of of the day in Montmart, visiting Sacre Cour and a few bars. Picked up a few souvenirs and had a wonderful creamy Barrata here. Right across the street from Moulin Rouge so we sat outside. People watching was in full effect. Had a couple of my favorite French beers, 1664. Service was incredible! Prices were very reasonable for a heavily trafficked tourist location. Really enjoyed this bar and food. Will definitely be returning.

Stopped here prior to "The Moulin Rouge show". Great ambiance, food was delicious! Service was also great! I ordered the spritz cocktail. Nice & strong. Nice view of the strip.

Beef tartare

Service was very fast, food was extremely satisfying, especially the beef tartare! Chicken burger was also impressively good. A place across the street from the moulin rouge and many other bars probably does not need to work hard for customers but they still do! They had a relaxing ambiance with tables available inside and outside.

Chicken sandwich with a salmon salad in the background.

Reading some of the other reviews, I'd have to echo most of what's already been said. This is a great place to come and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. It's clear that they are American-Tourist friendly. Their entire staff spoke English and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant is rather non-pretentious with solid seating both indoors and out. The menu was solid with something for everyone. I had a chicken sandwich, while my gf enjoyed a salmon salad. Both were great. If you're looking for a friendly place to eat and drink, you can't go wrong with Rouge Bis. I would say though that if you're looking for a more local place with local feel, you might be a little disappointed. Our trip had a good balance of both and I'm glad we stopped here.

TLDR: this place is AN ABSOLUTE MUST(!!!!!) if you are visiting Paris !!! Is it possible to rate a place higher than 5 stars? :") b/c I am still dreaming about the duck breast & polenta dish... This was the first meal I had in Paris and it is by far the BEST food I had when I was in Europe for a week. When people ask me what the best thing I ate in Paris was... the duck breast & polenta dish from Rouge Bis slips right off my tongue! I can't even fully explain how much I love this place! The waitress the first day I came was soo kind! She actually recommended the duck and polenta dish and I am forever indebted to her because of it. I split the duck dish with my friend along with a salmon salad that was extremely refreshing! These two dishes paired so perfectly together. The salad had LOADS of smoked salmon in it and also had grapefruit, red onions, avocado, and pomegranate seeds. It was nice to take bites of the salad with the fatty and gamey flavor of the duck. My friend and I were surprised with the amount of salmon that was in our dish because American restaurants would never be that generous lol. There was literally enough salmon to be in every bite! Also, the sauce over the duck akjlkdhajlwk... PHENOMENAL!!! This dish was perfection. I had no idea what to expect because I never tried duck prior to Rouge Bis, but it quickly became my new favorite food. My friend and I loved this place so much that we decided to come back for a second meal, even though we wanted to try other places in the city. We opted to try steak and duck leg. The steak was cooked just as we wanted it and the smokey flavor / tenderness of the meat went well with the arugula and creamy pasta. The duck leg dish was also good, but if you come here - I definitely recommend the breast over the leg! Summary: Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Experience 10/10 Please order the duck breast w/ polenta! You won't regret it!

solid brassiere in a great location, literally across the street from the Moulin Rouge and steps from the metro -friendly waiter who spoke perfect English -fair pricing and portions -we got the duck confit and the ribsteak .. the ribsteak was recommended to be cooked medium rare;l the duck i thought initially was overcooked but it was perfect .. meat ripped off the bone, included potatoes - I wish there was some greens included like the ribsteak -we also got a glass of merlot and sauvignon (super cheap at 5 euro each!) If you are a tourist, I wouldn't hesitate in going to Rouge Bis for a quick easy meal despite its touristy location

Excellent spot to have breakfast. I had the special that included eggs, coffee and a croissant. Service is really fast and efficient. The scrambled eggs are delicious!

We had a wonderful dinner before going to see the show at the Moulin Rouge which is directly across the street. They were very accommodating to our somewhat rushed schedule. Our host had made a reservation and mentioned we'd be a bit hurried. Everything was excellent! Nice steaks and salads for the adults and tasty burgers for the kids.

Stopped here for dinner before heading to evening show at Moulin Rouge. Streetside tables in Paris are just fun and with a group of 4, we had a lovely time.. Lots to see and enjoy as well as peoplewatch. Our waitress was awesomoe - funny, cute and very helpful - not to mention FAST! Drink orders in a nd delivered quickly and with a quick conversation as she went.. Food was ordered and came out pretty quickly too - obviously they are used to people showing up for a show at MR and need to eat and go - which they cater for VERY well.. Food was really nice - good portions and well presented. Definite place to stop before hitting the Rouge or even if you're just in the area lookin for a place to go.. You will be very happy wit the choice!

All the basics on the menu. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. A few order/service issues, but not bad overall.

We started with Oeufs mayonnaise, which is a hard boiled egg topped with mayo. This was quite a simple dish, but definitely got us prepped for the meal. They initially made a mistake on our order and sent us the veal fingers. After rectifying the mistake, they ended up comping it, so we got an additional appetizer to try. The fried fish went well with the tartar sauce. For the mains, we got the bavette frites with bearnaise sauce and steak tartare with frites. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying, the flavors were excellent and each bite had me wanting more. If you haven't tried tartare before, give it a try here because it was delish! For dessert, we shared the Paris-Brest, a choux pastry topped with mousseline, pralines and roasted hazelnuts. We enjoyed sharing it and it made for a sweet end to our dinner. Overall, this was a great meal to start our trip, everything we had was delicious and my expectations were met!

The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

Big disappointment this one. I bookmarked it based on all the positive reviews. Apparently I was…read moresupposed to order the big cheap salad with potatoes. It wasn't on the menu. For New Year's Eve they offered a special menu, 79 € per person. The host outside who convinced us to splurge for the special occasion said our kiddo wouldn't pay full price. Spoiler: that's not how it went. We were seated in back by the restrooms, with the sound of the hand-dryer serenading our meal. From what I could tell, apart from the staff, there wasn't a single French-speaking person in the whole place, a bad sign. For appetizers we had the escargots, which could have benefited from more garlic and butter, the foie gras, which was fine, and the smoked salmon, which was a generous portion, and very smokey. For my main, I ordered the duck in honey sauce, which would have been a good plate, served with salad, but for some reason they plated it with cold vegetables: green beans, bell pepper, and eggplant under congealing butter--Tasted like it was made ahead of time and they forgot to reheat it out of the fridge before scooping onto my plate. Total fail. My kiddo got the knuckle of lamb, which was fatty and gristly, although the mashed potatoes underneath were delicious, and my wife chose the fettuccine with shrimp and scallops, which were both overcooked and the scallops were crunchy, which was weird, served over way too much plain noodles. The desserts were good, but we paid over 240 € for three, with only one drink each, making it both the most expensive and also least delicious meal of our trip so far. Staff were friendly and attentive, and all addressed us in English, even though I'm fluent in French, which makes sense for a tourist trap. Would not recommend, unless maybe you just get the big cheap salad, seemingly that's what the 5-star reviews are for.

No tourists; only locals and repeat French customers. We sat outside. ORDERED: *FOIE GRAS House made and simply DIVINE on freshly toasted baguette bread. I wanted to take a bath in this. OMG! *DUCK CONFIT Beautiful leg served with scalloped potatoes. The meat could have been a bit more tender, but overall a good solid entree. *FRUIT TART Good, but not great. The pastry could have baked a bit longer. Loved the sweet plums though. We also ordered a bottle of their excellent Cabernet France for 17 euros. My darling didn't care for their espresso and I was not impressed with their version of a cappuccino. Dinner altogether was 73 euros. OTHER NOTES ============= Some of their staff members are from Le Mascote restaurant, but since the restaurant is currently closed; they cooked and served here. For lunch, we had the duck confit and the Lyon sausages (one of the day's specials). The waiter recommended a strong red wine to go with the duck and a lighter, younger chilled red to go with the sausages. He hit it spot on in terms of the pairing. Both main courses were simple and delicious. We ended our meal with wonderful house-made chocolate mousse.
