One of our Hotel recommendations and we had a 7:30 Dinner reservation on Monday. Just about full with most of the tables occupied. You walk into the Bar area and arrive at the dining room after a few steps through a short hallway. They also have dining on the second floor as well Outdoor seating. Heavy wood accents and although casual has a formal feel and atmosphere. We started with a Lillet Blanc Tonic. Light, refreshing Apertif-we enjoyed it. We wanted Oysters but weren't sure which ones to order so our kind Server suggested getting some of each. Gillardeau (from Charente and stamped with a "G") was our favorite. The Oysters came with St. Malo butter (Infused with Seaweed). A must try and if you don't order Oysters , ask for it-so good! Fried Calamari was tasty/not greasy and paired well with the slightly spicy sauce. For main, it was Moules Frites-so many Mussels (one Liter) and so little time. Normandy Cream was delicious. Snacked Scallops had complex flavors given Leeks & Porcini Mushrooms. Small dish that was rich/decadent. Only thing to change would be Bacon strips were over cooked-crispy -maybe turn them into bits? Don't have room but had to try the Flambéed Crepes with Grand Mariner. It was very good but was missing the Chocolate part that was mentioned. Service was excellent. Mo Mo took great care of us-answering our questions and providing extra information about our food order. Reservations recommended. When in Montmartre, this is the Seafood restaurant.

This is where their seafood is purchased for the restaurant right across the street . You may purchase to prepare at home .

Upscale beautiful classic French restaurant cest bon !! Prime rib , steak huge selection to customize your own seafood tower . Vast wine and champagne selection.

Amazing stop of our walk thru Montmarte. Very welcoming staff who pointed us in the right direction for our order. Absolutely fresh tasting clams and oysters. Very glad we stopped.

Our waiter, Nacer, was very gracious and thoughtful. He made sure that my wife's 50th birthday celebration was exquisite. The beef tartare he made himself was delicious. My wife enjoyed her caviar and bilinis. Ambiance is relaxing and warm. Overall a good place to eat when in Montmartre.

Steak Tartare, Escargot, Oysters (with bread and butter). Highly recommend.

I take food very seriously and the folks at La Mascotte do as well. Lucky to have found them on my short trip to Paris. La Mascotte is a traditional French restaurant with a seafood focus. They have a hell of a raw bar with an excellent selection. The main menu is not as vast but features a number of favorites. I ordered the steak tartare (the waiter asked me if I knew what it was when I ordered it which I found amusing, but made me wonder how many dumb Americans bitched about raw meat to this guy). It was literally one of the best things I've ever eaten. My husband ordered a fish main which he also enjoyed throughly. Service was top quality and we were pleased with the bill (multiple wines, oysters, escargot, and two mains) of 130euros.

If you're a fan of great seafood, epic outdoor tables and moderately friendly French service, then this is your jam. I had this place bookmarked before my trip to Paris and while walking the streets of the Montemare neighborhood, I was suddenly reminded of why I wanted to go to La Mascotte. It's inviting, people are smoking tons of cigarettes outside and consuming copious amounts of shellfish. The seafood list is long, extensive and full of worldly delacisies. My friend and I opted for oysters from Normandy, prawns from Madagascar and local crab. It was a killer combo, fresh and delightful to look at. Pro tip: For you english speakers, they have menus, so just ask as it makes the ordering experience much easier ;)

Nestled in the Montmatre neighborhood, just minutes away from the infamous Sacre Coeur, one will find La Mascotte. A traditional Parisian style restaurant that serves some of the freshest seafood this side of Paris has to offer. Reservations are unrequired if you plan to try this restaurant during your Parisian getaway as there is a constant flow of patrons coming and leaving. The best seating is located just out front of the restaurant, where you'll be able to watch locals and visitors stroll by. While sipping on a crisp white wine, we were taking in every moment of our time at La Mascotte. Known to have some of the freshest seafood in the area, we made a point to order all of the classics. To start we ordered the fish soup, which comes with a side of crispy bread, cheese and a remoulade - I quite enjoyed the soup, but had expected the broth to have a bit more flavor to it. I followed the fish soup with a pound of mussels and boy was I in heaven. The mussels were to die for. Served in a creamy white wine sauce, along with some slices of fresh baguette, I happily worked my way through as many of the mussels as I could. The mussels also come served with a basket of fries, which I didn't even get the chance to eat. Along with the meal comes great service. The waiters are attentive, professional and happy to help you in whichever language you desire. The prices aren't cheap, but then again not many places are cheap in Paris. At La Mascotte you certainly receive great quality, which I am happy to pay for.

We started with Oeufs mayonnaise, which is a hard boiled egg topped with mayo. This was quite a simple dish, but definitely got us prepped for the meal. They initially made a mistake on our order and sent us the veal fingers. After rectifying the mistake, they ended up comping it, so we got an additional appetizer to try. The fried fish went well with the tartar sauce. For the mains, we got the bavette frites with bearnaise sauce and steak tartare with frites. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying, the flavors were excellent and each bite had me wanting more. If you haven't tried tartare before, give it a try here because it was delish! For dessert, we shared the Paris-Brest, a choux pastry topped with mousseline, pralines and roasted hazelnuts. We enjoyed sharing it and it made for a sweet end to our dinner. The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

For New Year's Eve they offered a special menu, 79 € per person. The host outside who convinced us to splurge for the special occasion said our kiddo wouldn't pay full price. Spoiler: that's not how it went. We were seated in back by the restrooms, with the sound of the hand-dryer serenading our meal. From what I could tell, apart from the staff, there wasn't a single French-speaking person in the whole place, a bad sign. For appetizers we had the escargots, which could have benefited from more garlic and butter, the foie gras, which was fine, and the smoked salmon, which was a generous portion, and very smokey. For my main, I ordered the duck in honey sauce, which would have been a good plate, served with salad, but for some reason they plated it with cold vegetables: green beans, bell pepper, and eggplant under congealing butter--Tasted like it was made ahead of time and they forgot to reheat it out of the fridge before scooping onto my plate. Total fail. My kiddo got the knuckle of lamb, which was fatty and gristly, although the mashed potatoes underneath were delicious, and my wife chose the fettuccine with shrimp and scallops, which were both overcooked and the scallops were crunchy, which was weird, served over way too much plain noodles. The desserts were good, but we paid over 240 € for three, with only one drink each, making it both the most expensive and also least delicious meal of our trip so far. Staff were friendly and attentive, and all addressed us in English, even though I'm fluent in French, which makes sense for a tourist trap. Would not recommend, unless maybe you just get the big cheap salad, seemingly that's what the 5-star reviews are for.

No tourists; only locals and repeat French customers. We sat outside. ORDERED: *FOIE GRAS House made and simply DIVINE on freshly toasted baguette bread. I wanted to take a bath in this. OMG! *DUCK CONFIT Beautiful leg served with scalloped potatoes. The meat could have been a bit more tender, but overall a good solid entree. *FRUIT TART Good, but not great. The pastry could have baked a bit longer. Loved the sweet plums though. We also ordered a bottle of their excellent Cabernet France for 17 euros. My darling didn't care for their espresso and I was not impressed with their version of a cappuccino. Dinner altogether was 73 euros. We ordered 2 St. Germaine spritz's and decided last minute on a second appetizer so we got the onion tart and the mayonnaise eggs (google said similar to deviled eggs from the states. No. No they aren't). While I can't brag enough about the tart the mayonnaise eggs were VERY mayonnaisy. I wasn't expecting blobs on the plate under the eggs as well as them drowning in it as well. They weren't bad but we didn't love them. For entrees I opted for the beef bourguignon which was phenomenal. The meat was so tender and the sauce has a bacon flavor to it. It was served over a bed of pasta noodles but I bet potatoes would've been even better. My sister ordered the steak frites and while I liked the gravy the steak was horrible. Not only did the flavor taste bad but after chewing for so long I was very turned off. I guess 2 dishes out of 4 being amazing isn't a total loss.
