Went here in September 2025…read more Such a fun place. Think of the times you've been to a bar where the person making your drink really put their all into it. That's this place. Go see for yourselves. We liked it so much. It was our planned stop in route to Moulin Rouge, and that proved to us that we just had to bring our tribe with us on the way back. That's right. Two stops. One night. Enough said.

Dirty Dick may officially win the award for "most questionable name attached to a genuinely great…read moretiki bar." When we arrived the place was dead quiet -- like "did we accidentally come during a private apocalypse?" quiet. But as the evening went on, more people slowly wandered in and the atmosphere picked up. The drinks were fantastic: huge, strong, colorful, and dangerously fun. Exactly what you want from a tiki bar. The bartenders were incredibly sweet too. They answered all our questions, made recommendations based on what we actually like, and clearly knew their menu well. Always appreciate bartenders who don't just point randomly and say "this one." The decor and vibe were awesome -- dark, tropical, quirky, and full-on escapism. Felt like stepping into a hidden island bar in the middle of Paris. Only thing that threw us a little? The music. At several points it sounded less "tropical tiki escape" and more "waiting 45 minutes for Space Mountain at Disney World." Not bad exactly... just unexpectedly wholesome for drinks strong enough to make you text your high school friends at midnight. Overall though, we absolutely loved it and would 100% go back. Great drinks, great staff, fun atmosphere -- and honestly the weird Disney-adjacent soundtrack somehow became part of the charm.

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Quaint bar with live jazz and nice bartenders. Stumbled in here on a Sunday night trying to get…read moreaway from the mostly English speaking clientele in the surrounding bars. Still a strong mix of anglophones but locals seem to balance out the crowd. Fairly priced cocktails. I had the Beatrix which was a little too bitter for my taste, so switched out to the Pale Ale which was tasty. The live music was fantastic! Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.

We did a food tour in Montmartre, which I would highly recommend! Awesome neighborhood. Then we…read morewent up and walked around Sacre-Coeur and after were hungry again! Loved the Montmartre area so went back and wanted to eat at a local spot. The guy that worked at the cheese shop said his favorite place was a couple doors down, The Village. This place gets 5 stars just for being unassuming and awesome. Small space. Local spot. Tables and chairs all kinda crammed in. Full of people speaking French. Simple French dishes served and done well. The beef tartare came with all the ingredients mixed in, it was done perfectly. The french onions soup hit the spot on a cold day. Good service and great spot to grab a drink and snack.

Facing the street, you are in a prime location for people to stare enviously at your food, which they undoubtably will; I ordered the croque madam and a noisette. My first time in Paris and this.was.it. Everything I imagined, on a plate and in a cup, this was Paris. The best croque I've ever tasted, at eight euro fifty, it was a steal. The coffee was great and the service surprisingly and unfortunately enough; uncommonly friendly. The staff were all great and the whole experience was a highlight of my trip. If you are going to visit the beauties of Montmartre, this is where you should eat. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

The melted Camembert cheese appetizer was really nice, as was the bread it came with. For a main, my boyfriend and I were a little underwhelmed. Both the duck and braised beef were fine, but nothing outstanding. The vegetables that came with both were pretty nice though. The people working in the restaurant were pretty attentive, maybe a little more than in other French restaurants.

There were 7 entrées on the menu, and my first, second, and third choices were all unavailable (and that was not shown on the menu). It also took a good 15 minutes before a server appeared to inform us of that fact. I told her that "this is not a good start at all" but we ordered a shared appetizer and some drinks, and told her to come back later since we now had to rethink our choices. She never reappeared! From that point on, a pleasant young man took over, which looked hopeful, and I ordered the only remaining entrée that fit my tastes, the entrecôte. It was unfortunately so riddled with fat that I had to carefully excise tiny strips of meat from the rest of the dish. I should have sent it back, or at least tried to, but I was just getting too tired (after trekking to an Olympic event and walking up and down Montmartre in hot weather) to protest, and it was getting late to find another place. My friend had the duck magret, which appeared to be fine. The desserts were more classic than innovative, but were also fine. At that point, the pleasant young server was seated with friends of his at another table, close to ours, having a cigarette while explaining his plan to study business administration abroad. Attracting his attention while he was on his smoking break and debating the respective merits of Chile vs. Argentina was clearly hopeless. He eventually came over, apologized, brought the check, and we were finally done with this very disappointing visit. I will certainly never go back, nor can I recommend this place to anyone.
