For now I can only imagine how the show has evolved over the years but I bet now is an even better time to visit because I have a feeling that they probably found a cute way to include this years Olympic games. We were welcomed with a small basked of shrimp/fish crackers served with some sort of spicy tomato dip which tasted really good. For starters, I had the sambal (spicy shrimp paste) shrimp which was heavenly. The marinated shrimp was grilled to perfection and drizzled with some awesome sauce. My dinner date had the foie gras (why, of course) and the combination of figs, foie gras and toasted baguette slices really set the tone for the entire meal....or so I thought. Both our main course was cod fish in curry (there was a catchier name, I swear) with sticky rice. My heart sank as soon as I had the first bite of the fish. After killing it in the appetizers, I had such high hopes for the fish but the dish turned out to be as bland as plan rice - it was lukewarm, tasteless, spiceless and wasn't too good. I requested for the aforementioned spicy tomato dip in hopes that it would make the dish better but unfortunately, it did not. Ultimately, my dining experience was marred by the main course, and somewhat lack of service. Disappointing :(
