Reservations were made weeks before my trip to dine to this place with one of my Besties who now lives in Paris. We were both excited to check it out. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and were picked up by a server from the hosts station escorted to our table. The place is decorated with elegance and charm. The atmosphere is hyped and fun. The server was friendly and explained the menu. The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance, excellent service (aside from one thing which is why I took away a star), and delicious food. While the portions were on the smaller side for the price, the flavors were impressive. One notable issue was the presentation of the soy sauce, which was served in a small opaque white ceramic carafe (rather than a traditional small bowl so that we can know the contents),not explicitly mentioned by the staff and placed next to the wine glass. Unfortunately, this led to confusion at our table, where someone mistakenly poured the soy sauce into their half-filled glass of wine, assuming it was an additional pour. When we brought this to the attention of the waitstaff, their response was less than accommodating. Rather than offering a simple replacement, they made a spectacle of the situation and asked if we wanted to purchase another glass. This interaction left a sour taste, ultimately influencing our decision to skip dessert and wrap up our meal sooner than planned. Sushi/Sashimi was good but still mediocre compared to other restaurants. Very expensive, not sure if it was justified. Upon requesting, we were moved closer to the main area. The decor and ambience there is just amazing. The food was above average, little on the costlier side. So basically my review will be redundant as the others. This place has a nice vibe, cool music, and great decor. Where we were seated the lighting was kind of too dim but overall I was pleased with the esthetic'. The service was okay not bad but not outstanding. The food though was just average. I forgot the name of the sushi I thought it was going to have sliced Wagyu on it but I think it was chopped up. I had the curry shrimp which came with rice and it was just okay, the shrimp weren't seasoned and were average size. The curry itself was light. My husband had the sirloin steak with Lo mein style noodles. The steak was cooked properly but the noodles were not good no flavor whatsoever. The drinks were good, I have no complaints on that. This restaurant is very very nice especially for a date night. Nice ambiance and the decor is second to none.... the big Buddha is a sight to see. However the tables are super close so you can hear the parties sitting to your left and right even if they are speaking quietly. I found that to be truly uncomfortable. It's such a huge space, I don't understand why there wasn't a bit more room. The drinks and food truly aren't anything I would write home about. I found it to be a bit overpriced and underwhelming. The waitstaff was extremely rude and tired, and had the nerve to actually chide me in my request to get drinks. One of the worst restaurant experiences I have had to encounter honestly. Amazing 2 story upscale sushi bar Lounge, near fashion street in Paris. This is not connected to the Buddha Bar Hotel. They have Excellent service. People from all over, visit this place. They offer bottle service, it was nice paring wines with sushi rolls, I'm not a huge raw fish lady. I had cucumber Rolls, they were refreshing. I did not communicate much with the servers, each time I visit here, I was with my date and family first language is French. People were friendly, here. We decided to stop by here for drinks and really didn't have any issues getting in. It was a little early and it was starting to get full with dinner service. The ambiance here is pretty cool, especially the large Buddha statue. Our party just went to the upstairs bar and sat on some couches while having drinks. The bartenders were pretty friendly and spoke English well. Drinks are pretty pricey but not unexpected considering this is a very touristy spot in Paris. The drink menu does have a pretty good selection of crafted cocktails. We had a good time and enjoyed our drinks but it was a little too chill for me. We made reservations via email before arriving in Paris. Although it was a 30 minute walk from our hotel, we were running late so we tried to get a taxi. One taxi refused us, saying it was too close. We then called an u we that took 15 minutes to arrive but then took almost 20-25 minutes to get us there as traffic was so busy. He let us off in place de Concorde and we walked into the small street to get to the restaurant. We were seated immediately and served in a reasonable time. The restaurant is dark but nice decor. The lounge/bar tables were upstairs and we were seated downstairs right in front of the giant Buddha. The food portions were small but the food was good. It is quite expensive (around 200euros for hubby and I). As we were leaving there was a red carpet event happening outside and inside the restaurant. Buddha-Bar is a multi-level establishment with the lower level being the restaurant with a lot of table seating and an upper level with a bar overlooking the restaurant. I came here with some friends on a weeknight purely for drinks. Although it was slightly crowded we were able to walk in without a reservation and find one of the few remaining bar area tables. When you first enter you'll notice that it's dimly lit, there's Asian influenced decor spread about, and there's a giant 2 story tall Buddha statue in the middle of the restaurant. It kind of reminded me of Tao in Las Vegas. Just not as dirty and not as noisy. As far as I could tell, they pretty much have a full bar. There is a selection of pretty standard cocktails on the menu but I found the bartenders weren't familiar with some less mainstream but still relatively well known cocktails. After unsuccessfully trying to order a few, we ended up resorting to ordering a few bottles of wine. It is France after all! Overall, we all had a great time as Buddah-Bar is a good place to chill and have some drinks with friends. The noise level isn't too bad and you can actually just sit back and have conversations. However, drinks aren't cheap with a single cocktail averaging about 16 Euro. Also, if you are looking for very specific cocktails, this may not be the place. read more

I love the Buddha Bar. No visit to Paris is complete without at least a drink up in the loft. It can be challenging to find a place to sit but well worth it if you can. Drink some delicious cocktails while listening to DJs spin great loungy music, whose soundtrack is played in wannabe loungy bars worldwide. The decor has been copied by numerous Asian inspired restaurants worldwide. There are other locations of Buddha Bar, but this is the one that makes the rest pale by comparison. This place was a welcome retreat one rainy night in Paris. We wanted something different and Budda Bar was it. Great space that reminded me of Tao in Las Vegas, but hipper and bigger. Two floors with a bar up top and restaurant down below. For as big as it is, it's quiet with a nice cool vibe. We had a little of everything, but started with one of the best Mai Tai's ever.
