They were plump, juicy, buttery, herby and garlicky. The cod was moist and flaky, but the risotto was a bit mushy. The French onion soup was good, but didn't have caramelized onions, so it didn't have the depth of flavor that was expected. The duck confit with crispy potatoes was perfection on a plate! Better than average Parisian Brasserrie. Came for lunch with friends and we were all impressed with the food. They have a good menu with the classics as well as some unusual regional dishes from the Northwest. The prices were reasonable for the neighborhood as well. My husband and I are celebrating our honeymoon and Le Bosquet was the first restaurant we picked when we first arrived to Paris. What an experience! The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was exquisite, and we had the pleasure to meet the owners Lucas and Victoria and talk to them a bit during our dinner. They were so nice, and were so happy for us that they introduced us to some of their house made digestives that were just delicious. We could not have picked a better place or have celebrated this special occasion with better people. We only wished we lived in Paris just so we could come eat here regularly! First time visit and so glad we stopped in. Great neighborhood place with brand new owners as of two months ago. They were on the floor greeting guests and are lovely. We got the bone marrow as an appetizer, which was something I had never had before but found really delicious. I then got the beef with peppercorn sauce- once again very good. My wife and I spent 3 days in Paris and Le Bosquet was our "go to" breakfast spot and our afternoon bread and snack shop. Paris is loaded with wonderful bakeries but we enjoyed the staff her so much we kept coming back. We loved the quiche, croissants, cookies, chessecake,these fruit things that were like vanilla pudding with fruit in them...yum! Pretty much everything we purchased was wonderful. My wife has been studying French and our clerk was very patient and helpful with her as She tried to pronounce things correctly. Both of them were having a grand time and laughter was abundant. We love this Paris restaurant in the Eiffel Tower district. We brought our two teen grandchildren to Paris and this restaurant was near our hotel. It was a Saturday evening and they had a jazz trio playing, the perfect accompaniment to a perfect Parisian dining experience. The waiters were attentive, the food delicious, and the prices reasonable. There was something on the menu for everyone. My husband had the ribeye, I had duck confit, and the teens had cheeseburgers, and it was all delicious! Again, I can't say enough about the service -- magnificent! Gentleman host was welcoming, we had made reservation online an hour prior, and our server was Ines who was patient, kind and spoke English well. Now for the food- starred with razor clams as we had been drawn to them after seeing this on their menu online! Walking around after the seine river cruise trying to find something to eat. Stumbled upon this location the menu did not appeal to me but I was tired of walking. Ordered the garden cocktail and chicken Caesar salad. My friend ordered tequila sunrise with grilled salmon / fries. The drinks were stellar. Our server joked with us, and was tolerant when we went from one person ordering food, to three people ordering food! Bone marrow could use some salt and chef creativity to infuse more flavors into the marrow. Without the salt and pickle, this dish can taste very oily. Very good experience in this french restaurant close to the Eiffel tower. We arrived at diner time and got a table right away. Waiter was super helpfull, he has been able to explain us the menu in english, was very funny and friendly, he's the dark hair guy with glasses, ask for him if you donl't speak french. We stopped by here because it was close to our hotel and recommended by the desk clerk. Sat on the sidewalk and enjoyed watching people go by. First had a class of wine and an amazing artichoke. Our entrees didn't come for quite a while afterwards and after others who were seated after us received theirs. When I inquired of the waiter, he assured me they would come soon. Right after that another guy came over and apologized for the delay and explained there was some sort of mix up. He offered us a complimentary glass of wine to make up for the delay. We service was ok, the waiter was speaking English and French. But we didn't like the fact that he added 20% tip on the bill without telling us. Tip is not required in France and they know that but because he found that we were from the USA, he added it as a TVA tax. If we didn't see the small print, we would have added extra tip. Another close restaurant by our hotel and there wasn't a crowd of people sitting on top of each other smoking. We opted to sit inside anyways since it was a bit too cold and it started to drizzle. The ambiance felt a bit more upscale than the other cafes we've been to and hospitality was nice. It's quite comfortable inside and not overly crowded, it was a quiet night. Service was good and responsive on a Friday night. I was afraid that it'll be too busy and needed to make a reservation based on what everyone (not on Yelp) said. Our final dinner in the City of Love was, as Yelp puts it, A-OK. After an epic trek up and down the Eiffel Tower, we ended up at Le Bosquet. The bistro was fairly empty at dinner hour, so we were actually fairly excited to receive our food pretty quickly as our stomachs growled. I ordered a Whiskey Sour, and although there was none of the frothy texture from an egg white, it was made well. On our warmest night in Paris, this hit the spot. Once bread hit the table we shoveled it down. As Randy Jackson says, "it's gonna be a no from me, dawg." It was hard, not crusty, hard. After coming to the realization I never ordered a Croque Monsieur in Paris, I immediately perked up with anticipation. My expectations beat execution by a long shot. I'm typically a fan of rye bread, but it just didn't work with this sandwich. Kind of bland, in my opinion, even with all that cheese pictured. Thank the Lord, the crispy fries swooped in to save the day. The bistro-style atmosphere felt authentic, yet something was missing here at Le Bosquet. After having read good reviews about this restaurant, I decided to try it out over many other highly-rated options in the neighborhood. After changing into nicer attire from my hotel room within the proximity, I walked into the restaurant, expecting decent service. Immediately upon entry, the waiter ignored me to finish his non-urgent task of flipping the cups of some unocupied tables on a slow evening in which only 3 or so of the many tables were occupied with guests. I did not think too much of it. Having encountered many non-English speaking individuals in the businesses in the area, I politely and sincerely asked him, "Greetings sir, do you happen to speak English?" He decided to reply to me with a cold look on his face, full of sarcasm, condescendingly asked, "Do you speak French?". I immediately left this place given the outrageous greeting I received as an outsider. He then persistently demanded me to stay as I turned my back on the way out without bothering to apologize. It's rich in flavor and its the right size amount so you'll have room for the main course. I chose the steak and frites. Very juicy meat and the sauce was perfect.
