Fantastic service wine cocktails and menu. Confit canard et pommes as well as risotto truffe are excellent. Merci! Will return.

Little corner restaurant. We came by late at night looking for crème brûlée, and we were very pleased with what we got. It was delicious!! Customer service was great too! The best part we got in Paris. Recommended!

We stumbled across this place our first night in Paris. We just came in from London, wasn't super hungry but could use a snack and wine. The couple that I'm assuming owned it were extremely sweet! A polish lady and a Sri Lankan man super super sweet and so informative! We came almost every evening for a charcuterie board and wine! We def appreciated their hospitality, wine, shots and our French lessons! Thank you so much!

Our new friends on either end...so friendly and patient with all our questions and iffy French skills!

We stayed nearby and had our choice of at least 3 brasseries, more pizza places and kebab joints all within a block. We went here our first night after a loooong travel day and went back every night after we were in Paris. The food is great, accessible to a picky American (me) and a more adventurous eater (my wife). The owners cook and wait tables, and the space is comfortable and relaxed...definitely a good place to soak in all of Parisian life.

The owners are the sweetest, the food was good and we all had a great meal. My husband had the steak and I ordered the truffle risotto! I actually don't remember what the kids ordered, I believe they had the burger with fries. Everyone walked away full and happy!

That's the French bistro as we like it: authentic, generous, with a touch of sophistication. The menu is classic and everyone can find a dish they'll love. As a Frenchman, I recommend this place, especially over the big "bistro" where service and food never are as good as in a human size local restaurant.

Great find. Good place to stop by for a casual dinner. had the shrimp risotto and steak with fries. Steak was a little tough but good flavor. Very friendly staff and spoke English.

If you find yourself in the 14th, go here. If you're not in the 14th, find an excuse to go here. Phenomenal food (truly), darling atmosphere (think the cafe from Amelie) and great service that brings your food fast but doesn't rush you out. Plenty of options and the prices are right where they should be. My mom and I had a glass of wine, risotto, mussels with fries, potato chips, bread, apple tart, and creme brûlée for 45€, which right now, is only $48 US. We walked out stuffed and happy!

Food was good - quiet place. Probably won't be back but only because it's in Paris and we were on vacation, but give it a try!

Excellent variety and tasting of real Parisian food. Staff was unbelievably nice and accommodating to English speaking customers.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

We loved watching Chef Hugo cooking. Plus, what he prepared was delicious! We started with the ravioli appetizer we see so often recommended. Excellent! Dinners were a beef dish and a chicken dish. Both were amazing! In addition, dessert featuring a pear mouse was wonderful! Prices are for the good and wines were very fair. As you can guess, we highly recommend La Cordonnerie!

There are two tables essentially in the kitchen (a true "Chef's Table" arrangement) and maybe 6 tables in the adjoining room. We were welcomed warmly. Deborah was the hostess and server. Chef Hugo is visible in the kitchen, working very hard to make everything just perfect. They brought bread immediately (my husband loved the sliced baguette--it was perfect and chewy as it should be, but not hard). We ordered a bottle of wine, a Macon Villages, which was perfect. I had the cucumber salad appetizer, which was so fresh. My husband ordered the ravioli appetizer--tiny little rectangles in a scrumptious sauce--a work of art. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate. The sauce was amazing and it was a huge portion of tender white fish. My husband had the lamb with frites. It was nicely seasoned & perfectly done. For dessert, my husband enjoyed a chocolate treat and I had refreshing raspberry sorbet. Deborah was so friendly and solicitous throughout the meal. I have never felt so well taken care of. (I have seen some comments from people who are unhappy that they can't just walk in. They don't appear to understand that there is only one seating. People arrive when they do and they linger. Empty tables seen from the street do not mean the place is not fully booked. Make a reservation well ahead of time. It is worth it!)
