    Petit Camembert rôti

We stopped by for a group dinner and man that was a great decision. We were a big group so we know we caused a lot of mayhem but man, the servers were AMAZING. They tailored everything to us and never dropped their smile. Then the food came, and everyone was super happy with their choices. I got the Petit Camembert rôti to share for starters and then Magret de canard for the main dish. Finally ended with the Café gourmand. And man, everything tasted FANTASTIC. We really loved our time here and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for some easy choices good food!

I am so glad I found Poni after searching countless restaurant reviews in Paris. Legit fast French food with exceptional taste and excellent service. I arrived without a reservation and while there were people inside dining and at the bar, there was still plenty of room for me to sit and enjoy my meal and people watch. To start I ordered the creamy pumpkin soup (had artichokes, mushrooms, goat cheese, fried garlic, and corn bread croutons). The interesting concept was that you had to pour the soup over the rest of the ingredients but man, this soup was in one word: amazing. You could really taste the fried garlic but the creamy goat cheese in the soup had me wanting another bowl of it. I finished it all and had no shame in doing so. Next I ordered the Normandy pork belly which was very tender but crispy on the outside. The pork belly came was glazed with maple syrup and beer, Coco de paimpol with tomato, chimichurri sauce, fried garlic, cebette, coriander, raisin, treviso and pistachio (taken from their menu description). This was a hearty comfort dish and perfect for the chilly evening. Although it was very satisfying and I wanted to finish it all, I still left room for dessert. I had the brioche with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. A basic dessert but super yummy and the whip cream you could tell was fresh and oh so light. The ice cream was also very light and went perfectly with the caramelized brioche. Afterwards, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail. I ordered the Le Martyr which was vodka, crème de mûre, crème de cassis and a few other ingredients I can't recall. It was very tasty, not strong but tasted like a summer drink. Overall my experience at Poni was extremely good and very satisfying. I would 10/10 come back and highly recommend to those looking to enjoy a great foodie meal!

Stopped by this place for lunch during our trip to Paris. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, had some very fun and playful banter with the waiter who took very good care of us. They had various language menus available online. Visitor-friendly in English. We got the pate, salmon, and a burger. Also had an excellent pot of tea and cafe crème. Would definitely return!

Went here in September 2025…read more Such a fun place. Think of the times you've been to a bar where the person making your drink really put their all into it. That's this place. Go see for yourselves. We liked it so much. It was our planned stop in route to Moulin Rouge, and that proved to us that we just had to bring our tribe with us on the way back. That's right. Two stops. One night. Enough said.

Dirty Dick may officially win the award for "most questionable name attached to a genuinely great…read moretiki bar." When we arrived the place was dead quiet -- like "did we accidentally come during a private apocalypse?" quiet. But as the evening went on, more people slowly wandered in and the atmosphere picked up. The drinks were fantastic: huge, strong, colorful, and dangerously fun. Exactly what you want from a tiki bar. The bartenders were incredibly sweet too. They answered all our questions, made recommendations based on what we actually like, and clearly knew their menu well. Always appreciate bartenders who don't just point randomly and say "this one." The decor and vibe were awesome -- dark, tropical, quirky, and full-on escapism. Felt like stepping into a hidden island bar in the middle of Paris. Only thing that threw us a little? The music. At several points it sounded less "tropical tiki escape" and more "waiting 45 minutes for Space Mountain at Disney World." Not bad exactly... just unexpectedly wholesome for drinks strong enough to make you text your high school friends at midnight. Overall though, we absolutely loved it and would 100% go back. Great drinks, great staff, fun atmosphere -- and honestly the weird Disney-adjacent soundtrack somehow became part of the charm.

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Still a strong mix of anglophones but locals seem to balance out the crowd. Fairly priced cocktails. I had the Beatrix which was a little too bitter for my taste, so switched out to the Pale Ale which was tasty. The live music was fantastic! Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.

The service is fabulous, poor English, though extremely helpful. It's a very cosy bar. If you're in the area, do check this place out...it's also very central to so many other places in Paris, so it's a great place to start or finish at...I wouldn't make it THE place to go. Perfect taste in music: Check. Best - and I really mean BEST cocktails this side of Manhattan: Check. We stumbled into Dr. Lupin looking for a quick night cap and eneded up spending the best part of 4 hours there. So: we walk in. The bloke behind the bar exclaims before we even sat down: "I have no idea how to make a cocktail! I'm just guarding the fort! I can pour a beer if thats what you want". "Sure". I notice something about Jack Daniels in the bar and casually mention a Lemmy... "Don't move! The real bar tender is a Motörhead fan!". Peter (I think that's his name, but I was hammered, so could well be Rudolph for all I remember), walks in and takes his place behind the bar. We start exchanging stories of how we met Lemmy back when he was immortal... Aaaaaand... it was all uphill from there on. We slap some Motörhead on the sound system, cranck it up to 11... and the rest is history. I did mention the best cocktails this side of Manhattan. Let me explain: 50ml of Gentleman Jack 20ml of maple syrup 2 dashes of angostura bitters Top off with stout or porter beer. Grate some Tonka bean on top That called a Lemmy Angel and it's MAGIC! You have to try the hot bloody mary too. If only to see the only known use of a flame thrower in the preparation of a cocktail. EPIC! Merci les amis. Ce fût une soirée mémorable!
