We stumbled upon Le Campanella on our rainy walk from the Eiffel Tower back to our hotel. We were drenched and not dressed up, so we didn't think we'd receive a warm welcome, based on the fancy look of the restaurant and the fact that the menu is only printed in French. It was a Saturday evening and we didn't have a reservation, but to our surprise we were seated right away. They didn't bring water to the table until I asked for it. Service became friendlier after I attempted to speak in French. I had the Beef bourguignon, which was flavorful, but very fatty. We were visiting from California and just fell in this restaurant after a busy walking day. So glad we did! The place got crazy busy within minutes of us arriving. Victor our waiter was amazing even though he was the only person waiting tables. This guy was next level efficient, friendly and didn't forget anything. Never seen anyone manage so many tables and keep customers smiling. Now to the food, my husband had the ravioli and I had the Beef Bourguignon, (I recommend it, very flavorful and hearty), both dishes were very good. I couldn't finish my dish. We shared a chocolate dessert which was also excellent. If we are back in Paris this place is on our list for a do over. read more

Excellent service across the board. We came in with a group of seven, without reservations, and were seated after a brief wait. The staff was highly attentive, and very sweet--when a glass of water spilled over my son's notebook he had been drawing in, a server snatched it up and took it to the kitchen, from were it returned a short while later completely dried by the oven, successfully avoiding tears. The food was good, though not mind blowing. I had a pepper steak, which was cooked well but the pepper sauce was not so flavorful. My son's hamburger, ordered from the children's menu, was excellent and served with a lot of fixings, and would have made a great adult meal (I can see why the menu is very clear the children's options are for children!). We just stopped here for wine and desserts, Crème Brûlée was perfect. Everything was great, it is a casual wine bar with nice service and a relaxed atmosphere. It is just a few minutes walk away from the Eiffel Tower, so we just stopped here to wait for it to become a little darker for lighted Eiffel Tower photos. Highly recommended! read more

Visited Le Campanella during a cold winter day craving some boeuf bourguignon and possibly some dessert. Saw some reviews stating "terrible service" but for me personally this was far from true (in my experience). While the service wasn't as attentive or helpful as other places we still felt welcomed and our needs attended to. Food was pretty decent but did not shine against other restaurants in the area. My husband and I were looking for a coffee shop to drinks some good coffee but this wasn't the one. It was way too expensive for no reason. We had the Nutella crepe which was so small and they charged 11 euros. The coffee didn't taste good. Overpriced for nothing. We wanted to hav dinner but we didn't eat here as it was expensive and probably was getting to get something similar like the coffee and crepe Nutella. What's more annoying is that we left and in the same street they had the same Nutella crepes for two euros. Don't recommend it read more

Good spot for late night food in the Eiffel Tower area. Got the sea bream fillet along with a Greek salad and burger. Portion sizes were great! The fish was cooked perfectly, and overall tasted pretty good. Burger was good as well, and salad was Aok. Glad we ate here, as I was pleasantly surprised by the food. * French Onion Soup - Comes in a pretty big personal-sized cast iron pot that's probably enough for two people. Delicious. * Beef Tartare - Seasoned well. * Foie Gras Terrine - Wish this came with more toast, as there was too much of the terrine left over, but the jelly that comes with it does balance out some of the fattiness from the foie gras. We stumbled upon La Campanella in 2014 on our first night in Paris. We have been dining here for our first night or last night in Paris ever since. Great food and drinks. The staff has always been helpful. This last trip in May 2025 we ate there twice. The staff as usual were accommodating. Our waiter the first night, Victor, was fun, engaging, and let me get away with my poor French. I would keep this place a secret to always guarantee a table, but if you find yourself in Paris on Avenue Bosquet, sit streetside and enjoy life here. read more

Dropped in after a day at a conference starving hoping to tied itself over until 7:30 when a restaurant we chose down the street opened AND never left here! Our server was a delight, made a wonder cheese and meat tray for us. We followed with some pasta and the duck entree, it was excellent. The prices very reasonable. This was absolutely the worst experience at an establishment I've ever had in my life. We were invited in by the server who showed us no respect after we sat down. It took 5 mins to get out 30 minute old food that was sticking to the plate, but took our server 30 mins to give us the water of the person sitting next to us. For some reason we were the only people in the restaurant given room temperature water of someone else who had been sitting there before we got in and every other table had gotten an ice cold carafe of water. I'm infuriated that I spent any money, energy, and especially time in this restaurant. And I recommend to any other person (especially people of color) to choose any of the other restaurants before coming here. Not a bad stop for dinner. We sat outside, there was a covered area with heaters which was nice. We started off with a meat and cheese board since we had euros to burn. It was the best I've ever had and it was huge! If you're not super hungry, I would just get this. It had 4 different cheeses and 4 different meats. It came with toasted bread and there was also extra bread on the table. It was very filling. For dinner I had the duck breast. It honestly wasn't the best that I've had, I had better the first night of my trip to Paris. It had a white pepper sauce on it. It was kind of chewy. It was alright. We happened upon this spot on our first night in Paris cause it was right around the corner from our Airbnb. We were seated right away and then before we ordered a table opened up a little farther from the draft of the front door and they moved us further in. The food came out fast and fresh. We started by sharing the front legs, delicious! I could have eaten a whole bowl of the lemon butter garlic mixture that they were bathed in, so so good! They were the highlight of our whole meal. For entrees, I had the andouillette and my husband ordered the cassoulet. The sausage was a little strong in taste for me but the frites it came with were very good and I loved my husband's dish. We each got a glass of wine, one rose and one rouge both were super good and paired well with the meal. Our waitress spoke excellent English and we also heard her converse in Spanish to the table next to us, I may have heard her say a bit in Italian as well. It took me 10-15 searches to find a place that had more than one vegetarian option in this area and I was so happy to find that at Le Capanella. We came upon this place because it was really close to our air bnb. Big space compared to other restaurants with plenty of seating outside. The appetizers were great! We ordered the French onion soup and the escargot! This was the first time I tried escargot so I have nothing to compare it too, but it was so delicious!! For our meal I had the chicken with truffle and rice. It was very flavorful. The sauce was so, so delicious! The chicken meat was a bit chewy though--almost like it was overlooked. My friend had the tartar and it was great as well. Overall we really enjoyed this place, but the service was a bit slow and it felt like they forgot about us at times.
