A friend recommended this place and Paris and the vibes are alluding, mysterious, and sexy. I found a new drink I love I will try to make at home! So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday! read more

The great thing about staying near Place de Republique/edge of the Marais is that it puts you very close to so many great gastronomy destinations. Between exploring libraries and bookstores I managed to finally make it to this infamous cocktail destination en route to my late dinner reservation at Robert et Louis. Unfortunately, I only had time for one drink--but it was a magical experience that I hope to repeat again on my next visit. Beverages: 5/5. Went with "Going." Oh my goodness this spot was so fabulous we went twice on our visit! I love a good bar, and there's nothing like cozying up with a cocktail and chatting with the bartenders. My sister and I went on our first night and last night in Paris and we loved it. First of all, this spot was named 5th on the 50 best bars in the world list and you can see why. The attention to detail, the care in making their own spirits, the ambiance, it's just fab. It reminded me a lot of my favorite bar in Miami - Jaguar Sun- where people make you feel at home and you can stay for hours without noticing. Both times we went we closed down the bar. The team- Luca, Yen, Cameron, and doorman Lawrence are so interesting and friendly. We tried so many different drinks. Their specialty cocktails are a must try since they make their own spirits for those. And then of course they can make you whatever you'd like. I of course had a dirty martini and Negroni as part of my little red door journey and they were top notch. What a lovely bar! My first time in Paris and I knew I wanted to visit Little Red Door after seeing they were on the 50 Best Bars list in 2023 and it certainly lived up to the hype. The staff were SO friendly and made our experience that much more enjoyable. The menu is creative and each cocktail was perfectly crafted. I was definitely indecisive when I got here so I just let them pick what ever they thought I should try. There aren't a ton of cocktail bars in Paris, although that seems to be changing as places like Little Red Door usher in the craft cocktail movement. My boyfriend and I walked in here at around 9:45 PM on a weeknight and got bar seats right away. The shtick here is "farm to glass," where drinks are built around key ingredients from local producers. Whether you care about that whole thing or not, the drinks are objectively great. I tried: + Holy basil + Melon + Plum + Pumpkin The holy basil was my favorite, followed by the pumpkin. Really cool and unique flavor profiles all around, and the bartenders were very personable and helpful. Just expect it to be filled with tourists due to its best bars list ranking. Wow, wow, wow. When planning our trip to France, we knew that Little Red Door had to make the list. We booked one of their signature cocktail menu tastings for late afternoon before dinner, and loved every second of it. As advertised, the door is easy to miss! Once inside, I could not believe the amazing level of service we received. Every server took the time to individually come over and chat with us, explain the cocktails, and just hang out. I have never seen service like this in my life - we left feeling like we really KNEW their entire team. All of the cocktails were so creative and delicious. Inside is extremely cozy and they also gave us each a welcome drink that was some plum cognac. We tried 4 different cocktails. I think this is more so a preference issue, but their fall drinks are a little too strong / dark for my liking. They use a lot of whiskey and cognac as base, overpowering the fruit or vegetable flavors. My favorite cocktail bar in Paris. We walked in at a little after 5:00 on a weekday with no issues, although the space is very small. The staff are so nice and greet you with a welcome shot. We ended up staying for three rounds of drinks we loved it so much. The spagliato spagliato was the overall favorite drink of the night, but I personally loved their standard Negroni, which has a hint of jasmine in it. Overrated, expensive, horrible drinks. Not sure what they used to rank this as top 5 bar menu in the world! The service was good but some things were off. I loved the idea of sustainable drinks but they tasted horrible. The Melon (seriously this is how they name their cocktails) was too sweet. The plum and basil drink were medicinal in flavor. ( I've tried Chinese herbal medicine and it tasted like that! Horrible!) This is sad because we know other people who went back in 2018 and they said the menu was completely different and the drinks were amazing back then. Not sure why they changed their concept. Rated #5 of the 50 best bars in the world, we knew we had to check this place out on our layover in Paris! We hit the first day at their pop up location in Pigalle (Tuesday, Feb 21). Thank goodness it was already updated on Uber cuz we otherwise would have gone to their old location! This pop up will be until March, while the original location is being renovated. We showed up and didn't have a reservation, but there wasn't a line and we got in immediately! I guess you'd consider this their soft opening, as they were only offering a prix fixe flight of 5 cocktails for €55/pp. We were disappointed that the drinks were already pre-mixed, but were told they were going to try and add some a la carte drinks to the menu in the near future. I loved the welcome drink with shiso and sake. My bf really enjoyed the digestive at the end which was a dairy cream fat washed based drink. Really nice mouthfeel! Alex was our bartender and she was so nice and knowledgeable! We loved how their ingredients are all locally sourced within France. The staff knew so much about where each ingredient came from and what techniques they used to concoct the cocktail. Last seating at 9:30pm, as they close at 11pm (weekdays). My friend Ava B. lives in the Marais, and when I visited her last month, she pointed out this cute speakeasy by her apartment and lightly suggested we go for a drink. I'm always down for a cocktail, so I went with her, figuring it'd be nice to check out the cool neighborhood bar. As it turned out, she vastly undersold Little Red Door, which is #6 on the list of World's 50 Best Bars. We showed up around midnight on a Saturday (or Sunday, if you want to be technical about it), and while there was no line, the place was at capacity, and we waited like ten or fifteen minutes to get in. It was cold out there in the dead of winter, but the bar was well worth the wait. The space was cozy and attractive, and we got a comfortable spot all the way inside, with seats up against a wooden counter. Service was great. We stayed for a couple rounds and closed the place out, a little before 2AM. The cocktails were superb. Little Red Door bills itself as a "farm to glass" bar, and it really earns that description. The drinks all use house spirits made with ingredients from local farms. I've been to a lot of bars and had a lot of cocktails, but every one I had here felt completely unique. They cost €18 apiece, which seemed very reasonable for what we got. My favorite of the bunch might have been the Walnut, just because it tasted nothing like any other cocktail I've ever had. It was a richly flavorful drink made with LRD green walnut wine and Sab's Marc de Bourgogne, garnished with a candied walnut over a big cube of ice. I also loved the Olive, a refreshing combination of LRD olive spirit, Baldoria dry umami vermouth, and nettle soda, with a black olive cracker on top. Ava got the Plum and the Citrus, and those were both excellent, too. The Plum mixed LRD plum amaro with Audemus plum kernel fractal and Capreolus dansom eau de vie. The Citrus was made with LRD key lime liqueur, Baldoria dry vermouth, Stockholm Branneri aquavit, and Michel Huard fleur de pommier. The menu changes seasonally, so if you're in town anytime soon, I'd recommend going right now and getting every one of these drinks. I'm guessing you can't go wrong, though, with any of Little Red Door's cocktails. It's a spectacular bar, and I plan to go back whenever I find myself in Paris. read more

The iconic little red door on the outside of the building is just for show. It doesn't open, instead come inside through the hidden door on the left of the little red door. Just don't push the door too hard, as you may hit the doorman and that's not a great way to start. If you don't make a reservation, you'll end up waiting outside especially at peak times. I made a reservation for a cocktail tasting online through their website and paid a little bit extra to sit at the bar. When booking online you'll end up paying in advance and can add gratuity. I thought this was odd at first. Like why would I want to tip in advance when I don't know how the service is going to go. But in hindsight, it was a great idea because I didn't need to worry about paying or tipping while there. Each of the cocktails I tried built upon the previous one. A few of the cocktails also came with little snacks. I really liked each of the five cocktails I tasted. I'm not sure I would have tried all the cocktails I did on my own, which is why I recommend the tasting option. It allows you to get outside of your comfort zone. I highly recommend getting a bar seat if you're solo traveling or with one other person. There aren't many seats at the bar, which makes it feel like you're sitting with friends. The bartenders are amazing too and very chatty. I loved talking to them about their favorite places in the city along with where they source ingredients for each cocktail. My only complaint is about the blue bar chairs. They are big, which is great, but also very tall and awkward to get into, especially for short people. read more

But we tried each of the four drinks and they were amazing. The Nude Beet was the best but they were all great. Air conditioning is a privilege and not a right in Paris, and there's none here. I'm SO glad we discovered this place. The main appeal was that it is open earlier than some of the other cocktail bars in the area which was convenient for our impatience. It is also ideally located in the vicinity of the marais district which you should probably be checking out regardless. It can be hard to find as it is, as its name suggests, just a little red door without signage. The queue of people outside might be helpful for locating the entrance. We only had to wait a few minutes around 6pm but the place was completely packed. The place is dimly lit with almost a speakeasy vibe. The bartenders were doing impressive shit like pouring from a glass at least 3 feet above the receiving glass. The menu was arranged by ingredient, each drink representing one of many ingredients including rhubarb, carrot, raspberry, etc. It's definitely an unusual concept but I like a little variety in my life. I was intrigued by the olive drink so ordered that to start. GF started with saffron which was more of a generous shot than a cocktail. Both were not only aesthetically pleasing but enjoyable from a taste and intoxicating standpoint. I heard some people behind us raving about the carrot so I elected to order that for my second drink. GF ordered the walnut which was INCREDIBLE. It was definitely one of the better drinks I've had recently. The carrot, not surprising when listening to the advice of strangers, wasn't great but don't think for a second we let a drop go to waste. My wife had the citrus, which was good, and then I had the "rice", which was very unique and even had a fermented rice milk as the base. I am from the USA visiting Paris for thr first time ever. Before this place French people are generally rude to people who speak English only. This place is an exception to the mostly true stereotype. It's a small place so we had to wait outside for a table but the host gave us an umbrella to stay dry while we did. This was an interesting find, and an even more compelling experience. Upon arriving, you will notice a Parisian alley way with what seems to be nothing around. A long line of people waiting for the privilege of entering through a little red door with a man in front. Luckily for us, the line was not too long and we were a party of two, so this line didn't take over 15 minutes. Larger parties were still waiting. The man in the front was very nice and understanding of everyone and made sure there was a proper area for each group. You enter a dark, yet small two story bar where most are seated and mingling with their parties. The bar is a bit crammed, but it's not too overwhelming. Their cocktail menu is extremely thought out and unique. If you enjoy a mixology bar, this place is definitely for you. The best part is they use ingredients from local farms and explain how they came about creating each specific cocktail. I know some of you are thinking, "who cares! I just want a delicious cocktail!" well, you will most certainly get that, but it's pretty rad knowing how that cocktail was sourced and imagined.
