Beef bourguignon and onion soup gratinee
Adrianna C.

We stumbled upon Le Campanella on our rainy walk from the Eiffel Tower back to our hotel. We were drenched and not dressed up, so we didn't think we'd receive a warm welcome, based on the fancy look of the restaurant and the fact that the menu is only printed in French. It was a Saturday evening and we didn't have a reservation, but to our surprise we were seated right away. They didn't bring water to the table until I asked for it. Service became friendlier after I attempted to speak in French. I had the Beef bourguignon, which was flavorful, but very fatty. My husband had onion soup, which he enjoyed, and creme brulee, the latter being creamy and delicious.

We just stopped here for wine and desserts, Crème Brûlée was perfect. Everything was great, it is a casual wine bar with nice service and a relaxed atmosphere. It is just a few minutes walk away from the Eiffel Tower, so we just stopped here to wait for it to become a little darker for lighted Eiffel Tower photos. Highly recommended!

Visited Le Campanella during a cold winter day craving some boeuf bourguignon and possibly some dessert. Saw some reviews stating "terrible service" but for me personally this was far from true (in my experience). While the service wasn't as attentive or helpful as other places we still felt welcomed and our needs attended to. Food was pretty decent but did not shine against other restaurants in the area. The boeuf bourguignon was delicious and I also enjoyed the profiteroles.

Good spot for late night food in the Eiffel Tower area. Got the sea bream fillet along with a Greek salad and burger. Portion sizes were great! The fish was cooked perfectly, and overall tasted pretty good. Burger was good as well, and salad was Aok. Overall it was pretty good for our last meal in Paris, though the mosquitoes in the evening were bit annoying.

Much better food and service then most places in the area. Its not fancy, but its reasonably priced, and the portions are large. Its the only place I went to twice during my 1 week visit to Paris.

Foie gras terrine and French onion soup

Solid find by the Eiffel Tower. We found ourselves here totally by chance for dinner after visiting the Eiffel Tower. After passing by and browsing at other restaurants, Le Campanella seemed more reasonable priced than others. Glad we ate here, as I was pleasantly surprised by the food. * French Onion Soup - Comes in a pretty big personal-sized cast iron pot that's probably enough for two people. Delicious. * Beef Tartare - Seasoned well. * Foie Gras Terrine - Wish this came with more toast, as there was too much of the terrine left over, but the jelly that comes with it does balance out some of the fattiness from the foie gras. We sat at the bar as the restaurant was full but that didn't detract from the experience much. The table they were about to place us at was too cozy with the other tables anyways.

The food is not that good. This is a tourist restaurant. I order sausages on the menu and the waiter told me that they have no lore sausages. He recommended bead steak for $30 euros. I didn't order it so he got upset. I then order terrine. He brought ou 2 slices of terrine and 2 small finger size toasts. I asked for more toasts and he got upset with me. There is no ambiance about this place. People are eating and the banging the glasses and the dishes. Do not go here. Food is bad and services are bad...and downright RUDE

Rum soaked sponge cake .. don't know French spelling for the fancy name. So good!

Dropped in after a day at a conference starving hoping to tied itself over until 7:30 when a restaurant we chose down the street opened AND never left here! Our server was a delight, made a wonder cheese and meat tray for us. We followed with some pasta and the duck entree, it was excellent. The prices very reasonable. This is the place to go when you want a comfortable and familiar neighborhood place with good comfort food! They have French dishes some american staples (cheeseburgers) excellent cocktails and wine. All available before the typical 7:30pm dinning hour.

Very friendly, and the cafe viennois was amazing. Stopped in to get a warm drink and decided to come back for dinner tonight.

Food not really that great. Cramped outdoor seating. Service okay. Better outdoor places on other corners.

Terrible service. Waiter was rude without any reason, maybe because we are not french. The food was average, high priced.

I loved Little Red Door when I went with my friend Ava B. a couple years back, and I wanted to take…read moremy husband Matt B. when we were in Paris this month. We ended up going with Ava and her boyfriend Yassine, lining up after dinner, around 10:30 on a Friday night. There was a small crowd waiting outside, and it took us about a half hour to get in. The place was fun and busy, and as charming as I remembered. We got seated in a loungey upstairs area and received excellent table service. There was free popcorn and even a complimentary round of welcome drinks, a strong mini cocktail of Gentian and peated whiskey. The menu had changed over completely since my first visit. The cocktail offerings were printed onto thick printed leaves arranged on metal branches, forming a cool little tree centerpiece that replaced a paper menu (there was also a more detailed menu available online). Several of the cocktails were labeled with raindrops, indicating they were available as mocktails--helpful for Yassine, who doesn't drink alcohol. Matt and I shared two rounds, sampling a good chunk of this new menu. Everything was delicious. The Carbone was a bright, interesting cocktail made with beetroot, black garlic, Origin smoked gin, and Dartigalongue Un-Oaked, served with a cube of frozen yogurt that melted lushly into the beet-red drink. The Serre Solaire was smooth and boozy, with black tea, green walnut and milk, Cointreau, and Rémy Martin cognac. The Résilience was a highbrow tropical cocktail, with sorghum, pineapple sage, Pasquet cognac, and Savanna rum. The Permaculture was creative and flavorful, with chestnut, butter, wakame umeshu, and Avallen Calvados. I also tried a sip of Ava's Aquaponie, a light, juicy vodka drink with basil, lemon and sweet clover, St. Germain, and Grey Goose. I love Little Red Door and I'm glad I got to visit a second time and share it with my husband. We do live kind of far away, but I hope a third visit is in the cards.

So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!

Unassuming, this cocktail spot in the 7th is a perfect start to a fun evening. My prescription began with an old fashioned coup tailored with "The One." Citrus vodka based classic. It was very good! The champagne foam on top was a first for me. Made the drink trendy I suppose lol. I hung out downstairs until I got hit on by a cute photographer, I'm engaged, so that's a no! But a good sign for single people. It's an environment that creates open conversations. I guess I wasn't done exploring when I ventured upstairs and sat right in between to groups of friends chatting. To my left what looked to be grad students talking about future career plans. They complimented my dress, very nice of them. And to my right a group of friends discussing the topic of dating men who like "going in the back door". One of the ladies seemed very against it but mentioned, "if he really wants to I will atleast one, but i do not prefer it." The mood is intimate and chic. Overall a great time!

Atmosphere was okay...dimly lit, seated near the bathroom, with the cocktail table too close to the sofa to be comfortable for our legs. Overall, a good experience. We would recommend this bar to others, just don't sit where we did.
