This is a very large store. I love how open the space and how easy it is to move through the clothing aisles. I came here to pass the time with my son, and found him a tie and Switch controller. For myself, I bought an art organizer for my nail polish, and another Paris Hilton pan. The customer service was good, and even though there was a wait, it was because one of the associates was helping a pair of customers at the jewelry counter. She did immediately call for backup though, and the line moved quickly after that. The value is always good here, and Ross is my go to when I need to find dishes in singles. I go into this Ross and have a large awkward boxed item that is wider than my cart and two large kitchen utensil holders, and park my cart by the dressing room to try something on, and the employee goes, "Excuse me! Excuse me! You can't bring the cart into the dressing room!" Lady, you gotta be smoking something! A) I'm over half a century old and you think I've never used a fitting room before and don't know the rules?! And 2) (and yes, I mean A and 2 as a pun on the absurdity of it) how the heck do you think a cart-- much less with a box that is WIDER than the cart-- is going to even fit in a dressing room?!! This store is pretty big but it was pretty empty (product wise) when we went. Not a lot to look at. We looked around and did find a few things we wanted to try on. The main fitting rooms were already closed when we walked on over. There they had a sign directing us to some other fitting rooms close by the registers where we could still try on our stuff. We waited for what seemed an eternity for the people before us to finish trying on. (there were only two fitting rooms available) our turn finally came and we went on in... The fitting room is tiny. Really tiny. It was hott af in there and it smelled like onions. There was a ton of unwanted clothes randomly hanging there and I don't think an employee had come by to clean it up. The rack outside the fitting room, where your suppose to hang your unwanted items was literally overflowing with clothes. Hot mess. I ended up purchasing an item and the cashier was more concerned in leaving for the night then being nice to me. She grabbed my item, scanned it, gave me my total, and handed me the bag without saying a word. read more

I sadly buy everything online, you can't beat the convenience, but today we stopped by Ross for a dress I needed. We were immediately greeted by the register associate in the most friendly way, we were actually taken back by it! Let's be real customer service is not great these days. Anyway I found my dress and checked out with the same lady, her name is Claire, and she was just a breath of fresh air! So kind and focused on each person she was interacting with! I will go back because of my experience with her!! read more

Today I walked into Ross (Saturday at noon) with a return and the place was packed! It's good to see our local businesses busy! I went straight to the checkout line and contemplated for a few seconds on whether or not to come back another time because the line was SUPER long and there was only one cashier working. I totally understand that businesses are having trouble hiring and I really wasn't in a hurry so I decided to stay. Eventually two more cashiers showed up and the line moved quickly. When it was my turn, I greeted the cashier and said, "wow, you guys are busy!". She looked at me like I had three eyes and said loudly, "No". She never said another word to me through the whole transaction. Lucky for me, I have lots of other options for shopping and I won't ever need to go back into a Ross! read more

I don't know why it is with Ross but it always seems cashiers have never been trained to stop the chattering with other employees and concentrate on the customer. We were checking out and the three cashiers were more interested in what time they were leaving for break than finishing our transaction. It was very disruptive. Then, as we were finally finishing the phone rang and guess who stopped again to answer the phone before finishing with our order. Seems better training needs to be given to the managers. read more

Avid Ross fan over here!!!! Ross is the perfect place to go for home decor, brand name for cheap and even pet clothes! You never know what you are going to find at Ross because the selection is always changing. They have partnerships with different brands to get them for at least half the price. Some popular brands you can find are Calvin Klein, Michael Korrs, Betsey Johnson and so much more. Whenever I want a great purse, I check Ross first because they always have a large selection of the styles that everyone is in demand for. People may not realize but they have a large pet section that seems to be growing all the time. Currently they have a bunch of cute dresses, shirts and seasonal pieces like holiday sweaters. Great place to get huge dog beds on the cheap. They also offer a multitude of toys and treats. Don't forget about the kids either, tons of cute accessories and adorable clothes! So basically, Ross is a great place to get a deal especially if you don't mind having a surprise waiting for you. P.S. This new Ross Dress for Less store seems to have a lot less merchandise that every other Ross store I've ever been in. The one on Market Street in San Francisco is several stories high and packed to the gills with stuff, but it is crowded, messy and dirty. But, not this new one in Tempe, AZ. This new Tempe Ross Dress for Less store space is in a new, large, and clean store where it is easy to park and easy to shop. The merchandise is sparse on the shelves and racks, but both times I've been there I've found gifts and personal items to buy at a good discount. Wanted to check out the surrounding area from my job and see what type of retail stores we had other that the Wal Mart, and I found Ross, and I haven't been to this Ross, so I wondered on over during my lunch hour to check them out. The store was clean; no clothes in the isle and it appeared very neat and organized. I went with the intention of only window shopping and scouting the place out, but I saw they had some cute dressed I could wear to work, so I wound up shopping haha. Also checked out the fitting room and they also were clean and no clothes littering the floor. Scored 3 dresses & a shoulder wrap for under 60 bucks, so that's a win for me! The customer sales representatives are always friendly. The selection is decent but not the best I've ever had at a Ross.

Suggestion: Please stop putting price tags on the glass of photo frames and mirrors. Please start putting them on the back! read more

Ross is truly great quality for a very awesome price!! I wear a size 15 shoe and a 7 1/2 fitted hat size and i seem to always find what im looking for. The store is completely clean and everything is organized! I always am thrilled to see whats hot at Ross!! read more

I stopped in here while driving by, and immediately noticed the lack of merchandise throughout the store. I've been to about six others and have always walked out with at least something, and circled the store (I left after looking at two sections here). This Ross had a poor selection when I was going through the first section- the accessories and handbags. Some of the items were visibly damaged. On the sunglasses rack they had about 20 pairs, with about 2-3 duplicates of each included in that. I mean, I guess it was ok, but considering the other stores, it was pretty disappointing. Pretty good selection of clothes here. They have a better women's collection of clothes I believe. I prefer TJ Maxx for guys clothes. The lady at the register was very rude to a lady in front of me and it bothered me. I understand you work at Ross and hate your life, but chill out at least you have a job. read more

This location may be the world's smallest Ross, but despite their small inventory I'm always able to find something really good when I go. Don't go to this Ross expecting a mountain of things to sift through because you will be disappointed. This store is always clean and the aisles are always clear. I must say the shoe section here is a joke, it's so small they might as well not even carry shoes! They always have a nice selection of women's dresses and Home Décor. I really like how the check-out is set-up, there's only one organized line and the cashier calls you up when it's your turn. read more

This Ross is always well stocked, and I really enjoy the browsing and selection experience. Unfortunately, the checkout experience is unavoidable and that's where the store fails. It's clear Ross is aware of how long the check out lines get since they created a checkout maze to contain the crowd. A better solution would be more cashiers! Having two cashiers during peak shopping days and times is ridiculous. This is the norm so it's clearly an attempt to reduce operational costs but it's being done at the expense of the customers and the employees. Having cashiers greet every customer with "welcome to Ross" is not customer service IMO, having cashiers to check me out is. read more

This store has completely changed my view of Ross stores. Generally they are chaotic, jam packed, and a big ol cluster F that overwhelms me from the second I walk in. Today I was able to get in and out in 20 minutes and find everything I needed and then some at amazing prices! Thank you Ross! The best part was the line to check out moved fast and was not a mile long like most stores I have visited. Did I mention I Hate shopping? One of the first Ross stores I've been in that was clean. Usually it's kids everywhere, smells, clothes on the floor, packed with people but this location was a bit on the quiet side which was good, has a lot of good items compared to other locations I been in! read more

Horrible service! Do not come here ever. One time I came to the store 15 mins before their closing time and they didn't let me in. Another day I came 40 mins before they closed and they were rushing me to the cashier the whole time. Super rude! Also, one day I asked for the price of an item and she said "I don't know" and walked away. read more

Bought a pair of shoes, some shirts and ties. They were the only place open at the time so I was thankful for that. I wore the shoes once and they just didn't feel right when I actually wore them outside the store. I didn't wear them since. One of the shirts were in the bag so since the shirt was my size I bought it along with others. The one shirt was way to big so I called them and explained that there were two items I would like to return. I also explained that I have a picture of my receipt because that's how I keep them organized with my phone app, I have the tag still on with the price and my card that I charged them on. I asked if I could return them and get my money back. She said yes it wouldn't be a problem. She put me on hold and went to ask her manager she said. I said are you sure because I don't want to drive all the way down there because of traffic and that it's hot. She chuckled and said its fine. I walk in and went to register and again explained the situation and they said, "well you said you wore the shoes for a day so we cannot take those back under any circumstances." I said that's fine I'll trade them in for a bigger size. She said that she can't. I said well here's the shirt then, an she says, " you don't have a receipt so you only get store credit." Anyway, I told her, look I just called and you said this would be fine. She said sorry I don't know what to tell you. I responded saying, yes you do, you just told me over the phone. She smacked her mouth with her lips a couple times and just saying, ya, no... This isn't the first time at this location, but it's the first time I've ever written about it.
