I am leaving a review based on the customer service only as we didn't make a purchase yet. When we walked into the store we were greeted by a gentleman who was very friendly. He said hi and welcome in. He gave us a few mins before asking if we need anything which I like A LOT. He then showed us a few things based on the info we gave him. He was very informative and knew the products in the store well. We also had a very kind lady help us as well. She also knew her stuff and was very helpful. She took time to listen to my design ideas and offered great suggestions. At no time did we feel any pressure to purchase anything. We'll be returning to this location. Drove across the valley to check out their closing store deals, and they have a decent amount of furniture still there. Even 25% off deals and another 10% off if you use cash (I believe that's what their signage stated). They were really friendly upon walking in and were immediately greeted by a few different employees. Their furniture definitely seems to be a higher end and a good quality one of a kind feel. I was in the market for either a huge ottoman that had storage as well as a corner sectional but sadly didn't find it during this trip. If they close this location, I believe they still have their other locations open. Their Mesa one was huge and with plenty of selections. read more

While driving through the neighboring plaza for lunch I realize that a new location Potato Barn had opened up where The Old World Market store was previous located... and if I want to date myself, was next to the old Ultimate Electronics store that was suppose to be a hit!. Walked in and realized after about 5 mins, it had somewhat of a better feel than the other locations. The space is very large and open and just like the other Potato Barn's in the valley, they carry a wide variety of changing furniture that really adds that pop out of the norm you may be looking to get. They have the items spaced out somewhat in an organized manner so that you really can walk around the store and get an idea of pieces. Don't be surprised to see some chairs in one color alongside a table and then 25 yards away see the same item in a different color paired with something different to help inspire your ideas. We saw a variety of different items ranging from the bed sets, couches (towards the right when you walk in) desk, armoires as well as other special unique items that we thought we could add to our home. The staff was nice and very helpful and you can get a tape measure at the front counter all the way at the back of the store. I always recommend that people come prepared with some space measurements to aid in the process. New items are shipped in weekly so I'll be going back frequently to check out the new items are as well as peruse through existing things to see if I can find something that I like. Glad to see they have a location in this area as I expect a lot of local traffic from home owners in Ahwatukee/Chandler & Tempe. read more

Great furniture, unique, eclectic. Horrible service!!! It was nice not having the staff follow us around and hound. However, we purchased thousands of dollars in furnishings that day. I have an entire home to furnish and decorate. The sales women was very abrupt, rude and quite honestly, condescending (as if she owned the store, not just worked there). Not once did she mention there would be a delivery charge to our home in Mesa, only to find out once the 3rd party delivery "Just Delivery AZ" text me that next day and said they would deliver monday. I needed to actually schedule a delivery date, which they would not do, and then a week later I am called by the delivery company with a 20 min window for delivery. Problem, I was away with business and nobody home. Fortunately my only family member in the area was able to go open up my home. I contacted the store and they apologized but offered NO HELP. The delivery company was aggressive in demanding delivery and charging hundreds of dollars for a 30 min drive. I don't blame the delivery company for the charge, I blame the store for not disclosing there would be a charge after spending so much. Our overall treatment at this business was much less than expected. There are so many furniture and decor establishments that treat their customers with respect and appreciation. We will not be purchasing from The Potato Barn again. read more

Love this store! There are things here you cannot find anywhere else. I find it it is very original furniture and decorations that just bring a smile to your face. I found that I was saying, "oh, I love this," over and over again. Make sure you have at least two hours to walk through, if you've never been here before. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and easy to maintain the 6 ft distance. There was a guitarist playing, just enjoying a little play time. Wonderful experience! read more

I was shocked when I went into the store. Not one employee was wearing a mask. Every customer was following the CDC guidelines for wearing masks but not one employee. Every other furniture store I have visited during the pandemic has strict mask rules. Prior to the pandemic I have frequented this business often, however in light of their clear disregard for the safety of our community and their employees I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Great and unique selection of furniture. Walking in and seeing the size of some of their pieces of furniture I was sure it was going to be super expensive. To the contrary- prices are super reasonable for the quality. Picked up a huge sideboard for under 2k. I've see other sideboards at other retailers that were much smaller for much more - and less unique looking that the one I got. They also don't constantly hound you when looking. I really appreciate that. They do ask if you need help but not intrusive at all. Cannot wait for the Goodyear location to open!!! read more

This is the second Potato Barn location I've been to during the COVID outbreak. Not once have I seen any employee wearing a mask. I get that some people are against them but let's be a little considerate of your employees/customers health? Also a very, very small location. Had a total of 3 beds, maybe 4 couches. This stuff is really built to last. Got some leather furniture for my living room 22 years ago and still using it today with very little wear. No holes either. Amazing quality. Will be getting my next set of furniture here as well. Also love that they don't enforce the mask law. Glad to see not everyone is so easily brain washed. read more

Great service here. No sales people following you around. It feels like family- they help you with any questions and let you walk around and do your own thing. They have so many unique items which is great. I will say they aren't cheap - but you pay for what you get. The pieces in here will last through generations, no joke. My husband and I love this place! This place is huge, so be ready to spend an hour or two looking around! We have gotten many pieces over the last year. Just to name a few... a laundry sign to a beautiful art piece we hung above our bed to a couple bedside tables with a dresser... Seems like we have been hanging out at potato barn you could say! We find the staff to be helpful but not aggressive by any means. Usually, we go an and grab a person when we need help or have made a decision. This store is super unique and we always leave finding something new we like. In addition, one of my favorite things we got here was an Indian style entry way table that I just love! They have a lot of knick knacks for purchase as well to help mock up your home. This isn't a budget store by any means. Prices are on the higher side, but when we had an issue with a purchase they made it right. The wine cabinet we purchased has a sliding door which goes back and fourth depending on whether you want to access the wine storage or grab a glass from the other side. It stopped sliding within days of buying it, they told us to bring it in and the fixed it. That made me feel better as this store offers no refunds, but they do stand behind the stuff they sell. We will definitely be back. They have plenty of parking and are located in a plaza of other shops. Lastly, they have a tape measurer at the store which we love! Just make sure you measure the space you are looking to put something in at home.. so that when you are there you have your measurements. We may have forgotten that once lol! read more

I used to love this store and have spent a lot of money here over the years. NEVER AGAIN! To walk into this store when our state ranked highest in the nation for Covid and to not see even ONE employee wearing a mask made me sick. We turned around immediately and left. Oh my word, they have amazing one-of-a-kind pieces. A lot of the furniture seems to be coming in from Indonesia/India. Beautifully hand carved pieces and layers of chippy paint done right. They have an impressive collection of front doors that make Home Depot's generic selection seem downright boring. The light fixtures are all unique and would be the focal point of any room. I only give them one star because of COVID-19 when I walked into Potato Barn almost every single worker had no mascon a lot of the consumers walking in walked in with mask but then saw how casual the employees were without mask and decided to remove hers they were not practicing social distancing at all I saw no hand sanitizer I saw no precautions whatsoever with potato barn I'm really disappointed because I wanted to shop longer but having an auto immune disease and knowing the chances of being in a state that has been such a high risk for so long I didn't want to take the chance. When I ask about mask everyone looked at me like I had three heads it's people like this that don't comply with certain rules to help stop the spread of COVID-19 that makes me decide that I will never shop at potato barn again. Yeah yeah I know I'm sure they're saying who cares we don't need you but guess what you do need me you need every customer to keep your doors open so with that said if you are practicing COVID-19 precautions I strongly suggest you do not go to potato barn at this time. I tried to post this review on the Scottsdale location where I was at and it wouldn't allow me interesting......... I hate to lose potato barn as a shop that I love to frequent when I come to Arizona because they do have some really cool stuff on large scale's and their prices are pretty reasonable but they lost me as a customer after today's experience hope y'all stay safe hopefully you don't have to see your family suffer from COVID-19. read more

I have remodeled and finished several homes in the past few years. I buy a lot of used furniture but when it comes to the details I always go to Potato Barn to get those key pieces that elevate my design. They have a great selection and very unique pieces. The customer service is perfect. The sales associates approach you yet let you take the lead. As to masks, I wear mine to protect myself when I feel it is warranted. I absolutely love how unique the store is how helpful they were, they would move furniture next to each other from other areas in the big store in order to see if I liked it together... I've purchased a few items from here. A bar table, a buffet, dining chairs and a few misc items. The quality is very good. It's solid and durable. Most of their furniture is nice and heavy. They have some great unique pieces you can find. The average rating is because the service is pretty non existent if you have questions, basically ignored and the furniture in my opinion is way overpriced. I recently found their outlet and much better prices and much better service with same great finds and quality. read more

I expect a lot from business establishments and found it very refreshing to visit this new Chandler location. I was not looking for anything particular, but with so many fabulous finds ,I will be making some major changes. I also loved the ideas presented by the staff for lighting.
