This Macy's is pretty standard overall--what you'd typically expect from the brand--so on its own, I'd probably land closer to three stars. However, what really stood out during our visit was the customer service, which easily bumped this up to a four-star experience. Even though the section we were shopping in was quiet and didn't have many customers around, a sales associate approached us quickly and offered help without being pushy. She went above and beyond by checking prices for us and helping us narrow down our options, which made the whole experience feel more personal and easy. Because of her, we ended up making a purchase--and that says a lot. Another nice bonus is that this location features a Toys "R" Us section, which adds a fun, nostalgic touch, along with a Macy's Backstage area where you can find a variety of items at additional discounted prices. I was in a pinch and wanted to pick up my order without having to get out of my vehicle. As I pulled up to one of the side entrances, I saw signs for designated "online order pick up" spots. I parked in one and called the number that was posted. No one answered, so after trying to call twice, I parked and went inside. The gentleman at the pick up counter was nice. He went to the back to get my package after scanning the code from my phone. Although I was glad that my new tops fit me, it would have been great of they actually made use of the drive up feature. I don't shop here often, but when I do, I find good stuff. Wish the service was better, but I'm just glad I got my stuff. =/ read more

I had a great experience here last Tuesday evening! I needed to buy some shoes for an event, and the shoe department was clean, organized and not very busy. The people working in the department were helpful and nice. The last act section was also clean and organized, with lots of really great deals. I like Macys because there is usually a coupon available that helps make the purchase better, and on that day they had a 30% off coupon. I really appreciated them using it and feel like I got a great value for my sandals. I would definitely come back to this Macy's. read more

I went to beauty department to ask some one to help me with a foundation color so someone in cosmetics she couldn't help me so she got someone in fragrance to help me she was ringing up someone and I was next but she wouldn't help me she kept ringing up other people she finally said she couldn't help me the are short people. We bought a sectional 5 months ago from Gloria. Last week I noticed the fabric was pilling. I was already upset about the poor quality of the cushions. Service came today and is going to fix the cushion. He said they won't do anything about the pilling except tell me to buy a fabric shaver. After what we paid I told him I was going to take the couch to the store and show people what Macy's said. He said they don't care, The 20 year old sectional I replaced didn't have any pilling. Done shopping here. I bought two pairs of high end shoes from Macy's on line. Went to exchange them in store for a larger size. They didn't carry them in store. So I returned them. After the gal did the transaction and I ordered the new pairs on line, she informed me that the shoes were from a third party vendor and they would have to be shipped back to them and be processed for the return. Long story, still no refund of almost $300. Worked with store manager who said there was nothing they could do. We called their customer service line which is a joke. Customer service is terrible. We were just looking in the couch section and a worker was harassing us and wouldn't stop looking and staring at us. We got told not to have drinks on the couches which was fine and we obeyed but then some other people came eating ice cream right in front of the same worker and she said nothing. This store I won't return at all. The sales associates are so aggressive and pushy trying to make a sale. I literally could not browse or try on makeup without them all on my back. Everywhere I turned there was a worker easing up on me to offer help I didn't need. The MAC girls made me uncomfortable. I told her I was thinking about buying a concealer it doesn't mean I am. I don't need you to pull it out the drawer to force it down my throat to buy then act surprised when I said I need time to think about it. Gosh these women act like they life depend on a sale! The store itself was pretty organized and easy to find most items I was looking for, but service was horrible. Besides one employee saying hello even the cashier acted like she was a robot and barely said a word and forget about eye contact. We came in looking for a dress for a school function as well as some clothes. While we did find what we were looking for prices were a bit higher than I'd typically spend for better service. Excellent service and wonderful selection at Chandler Macy's. Elijah Tullis on the 2nd floor gets a 10 out of 10 rating for being knowledgeable and friendly in helping us in the kitchen dept. He gave excellent customer service, was polite and professional, and added to the positive experience we had shopping today. Also a 10 out of 10 rating goes to Michael in the Men's clothing dept, who was sharp dressed, attentive, fun, and gave good input to my husband to pick out just the right fit in dress slacks. Not the best managed Macys. Associates are not trained and make you wait because they have no clue how to work the register efficiently. Backstage was an utter mess and things everywhere with no prices. Difficult to find associates to pay for and many customers just left without purchasing. I had an awful experience today. Two employees were extremely rude to me when I wasn't wearing a mask. When I put on a mask to hide my extreme frustration with them, they were more respectful. I did end up making a purchase out of pure necessity. I would choose the Scottsdale location or a different store. It wasn't as organized and that's mostly because the employees are overworked and overwhelmed. I took off a star because of those two employees. I had several important events I needed to go to this week and being transgender I never learned how to shop or build an outfit that worked for me. The stylist Kristen was an absolute lifesaver! She managed to fit me in sooner than expected and made the process so much easier and simpler than it has ever been. Her selection based off of my preferences I spoke about was outstanding! I always felt awkward shopping but her insight and help was incredible and i was able to get several new outfits that i had never even dared to try before! A court hearing, dinner with my father, lunch with some old friends i haven't seen in forever, and new outfits to wear for work, corporate and corporate casual. She was also incredibly nonjudgemental and very accepting of me being transgender, not once did my identity make this process difficult. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that Kristen provided the best customer service experience I've ever had anywhere! I recommend Kristen for anyone coming to Macy's and needs a little help, a lot of help, or just a second opinion. I will absolutely be coming back time and time again for her assistance! I received really poor customer service yesterday, I went in to return some unused makeup and items that were unused and resellable ,,, the girl named Baylie called the manager to make sure I wasn't trying to be sneaky and bring back merchandise I really didn't purchase , I thought the pop sticker they stick to the items counted as a receipt for they scan it and tells them how u paid and all the needed info !!!! The girl Baylie was rude from the start and this was uncalled for ! I won't be going to this ' Chandler Macys again and she did end up having to do my return even though it was clearly painful for her !! she was not happy about that and it showed !!!! this is a pretty decent Macy's location that does have a really good options when it comes to clothing and shoes. I was even able to buy big pack of socks from this location at a really good price point. It was even cheaper than some of the socks that I purchased on Amazon which is definitely saying something cuz Amazon is usually really the cheapest LOL some of their sweater options are a little bit outdated. I saw the same sweater options in Macy's over 2 years ago so the fact that they haven't updated some of those sweaters it's probably the only thing that I wish they would improve on read more

This is my go to Macy's location. They have a great selection of shoes, plus awesome sales. When it comes to the makeup section they offer brands like M.A.C, philosophy, Clinique, and Benefit. Plus they have the Benefit Brow Bar now. One thing that bothers me though is they always try to push their Macy's card. This can get a little annoying but hey the staff is just doing their job. Great place to register for your wedding because they offer bath, kitchen and even bedding. Customer service has always been great plus the store is clean. read more

Older hispanic sales lady and older white female with white hair employee at the counter were too busy talking with each other. Plan on buying small items or else you will have to take several trips to your car to load your purchases. I really love Macys! The store at Chandler Fashion is 5 minutes from my house and super convenient. There's lots of parking outside and just inside on the first floor by shoes is a counter dedicated to online orders. Both order online/pick up in store and online returns which is awesome! It's so convenient to be able to order three or four different sizes and colors and just take back what you don't want. They take care of everything right away, no muss no fuss! I really do wish they had better and more brands at this store. I hate having to drive to Scottsdale Fashion to look at things in person. Simple things like free people, better Michael Kors selection, dkny, just overall way better women's clothing in Scottsdale. And shoes!!! For the love of God can we get better shoes??? It's as if we all wear Grandma sweaters or super cheap Junior's in South Tempe/Chandler. That's one of the reasons I don't go to San Tan anymore. No more Miss Me. Nothing fun.
