I had to pick up a few things from here the other day. I was hoping to find a specific gift card (for Barnes and Noble). Unfortunately they didn't have any, but there was a large selection of other stores and restaurants to choose from. This Target is pretty standard with a pharmacy, and Starbucks. I think Target is priced a little more than their competitors, but it's usually a nicer experience. Steven or Stephen was the first person I interacted with. I was looking for some large tapestry pieces to cover some walls in one of my rooms. This guy was so friendly, outgoing, professional, and very precise in the way he explained the information he was giving. The store is super clean and inviting and I like it here much more than some other "BIG BOX" stores. They didn't actually carry what I needed in the store but he showed me some items that were available on line and showed me how they are a great value and inexpensive. The design of this store has taken an epic fail and is not my favorite location but, if you need something quick, it's perfect to run in and out to grab it!!! What on earth is going on here, as far as, the design?? It was really hard to find some products such as baby lotion, vaseline and even paper towels. There's plenty of parking, but again, I'd only go to this location if I'm in a rush to get in and out provided that I knew exactly what I wanted, as well as where it's location is inside. read more

I really do love coming to this store. Considering how full the parking lot was, I was impressed by the clean, quiet, and calm shopping experience. No trash anywhere in sight. Signs in the proper places, beckoning customers to look (including my son). Very friendly service (we went through regular checkout instead of self check out). Actually, something I want to add to this review is how much I love their book collection. It's hard to find a decent selection outside bookstores anymore, especially in the paperback variety when so much has gone digital. If you're someone like me who likes to hold those books in hand to reduce distractions, this might be a good spot to look. Weirdly, in the action figure aisle near the books, there's a Bob Ross inspired action figure but I'm living for it! It's nice to see you don't have to have special powers to have your own action figure, and I imagine it's fun for anyone who's a fan. In the end, we bought a Nintendo gift card and a reusable Bullseye (Target's dog mascot) bag. Slightly overpriced, but totally cute and worth it. So would I come back? Beware! After 15 years of responsibly using my Target store credit card, they elected to reduce the amount of credit I can use by 50%. This negatively impacted my credit rating (I found out when Experian sent me an email), and when I asked them why, and to to restore the original limit, they told me I don't use the card often enough so they reduced my limit and that they wouldn't fix it. I guess they figure negatively impacting my credit score will make me want to shop there. I closed the account and will never set foot in a Target store again. Yeah, I'll take a hit for closing the account, but I won't be blindsided by credit rating drops because someone I've never paid late in 15 years decided to punish me for not shopping with them enough. I even told them Walmart was closer, and that I'd close the account if they didn't fix it. Guess they thought I was joking. No joke, account is closed after their "too bad for you" email. That is a despicable policy, I work hard to keep my credit spotless, and I won't have a store card reducing my credit worthiness with 15 years of perfect payment records. So close to Christmas too, thanks for making the Target or Walmart choice for me. I don't need Target at all. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE STARBUCKS INSIDE! Getting out of the car is worth the kindness of the employees at the Starbucks location. The fact that the coffee is never burnt, they always have the flavors we like, and every employee I've met here is SO NICE. It's truly the superior location. There are 3 more convenient location as they have drive thrus and accept orders through the app, but those location simply don't exist in my brain anymore. This is my new local Starbucks and simply the best one. I'll take better coffee and kinder humans over drive thrus any day. read more

On 5/2 I picked up my drive up order like I have done many times at this location. Never really had an issue besides the occasional long wait times. But also I'd never ordered fruit on my orders either. I usually go inside myself if I want to see what sales they have, anyway I ordered some kiwi with my order and when I went to open and cut the fruit it looked all shriveled up and definitely old. I shopped for a few items at the Tempe store on Baseline and McClintock. My purchases included a bottle of wine and the employee assisting in the self check out line asked to scan my DL. She couldn't explain the reason for this odd procedure other than "you're buying alcohol". This was my first experience having my DL scanned to buy a bottle of Riesling. Needless to say it was the first and the last time I bought alcohol from a Target store. Where does Target store that information? How long do they store it and what's being done to protect my identity? Please train your staff to be able to answer those questions! read more

Due to the rise of Covid infections again, I have staying out of stores and doing curbside pickup. My experience was perfect. I ordered my items using the app then received an email an hour or so later saying my order was ready. It had additional pick up instructions. Before I left home, I clicked on the "on my way" button in the email. I pulled into one of the curbside pickup parking stalls, picked up my phone and a code popped up. Before I could do anything the store employee was at my window! Granted, I went early in the week after lunch time which typically has fewer people in store. The pop up instructed me to keep my window up and show the code and pop open my trunk for contactless delivery. This was a great experience and I'd definitely do this again. Super easy and efficient. This Target is really good. It has the little café area. The pharmacy of course. As well as They do carry a huge selection of items throughout the store . I come here so often. To pick up this and that. Groceries, laundry products, an endless supply of everything. At times the target app can be hard to manipulate inside the store. But, recently they updated it again and it's become slightly easier. They offer many coupons , every week it's different. Where all you need to do is use your app on your smart phone. Almost everything you could want or need is that your fingertips at Target. The Coupons are great. Five cents off for each bag you bring in to use. 5 % off your total when you use your Target card or Target debit card . Loaves of parking all around the store. Wet wipes are provided at the entrance for your baskets and carts. read more

Well it's officially bathing suit season so I was out and about today looking for a bathing suit for my next vacation. This particular target had some pretty good deals. There were bikinis on sale with 30% off. Some of them were sets, but others had been picked over and there were either the tops only or only the bottoms. In my case I got lucky and they happened to have my exact size in a really pretty printed Bikini top and bottom. The quality is really good and they seem sturdy and well-made and would probably last two or more seasons. The bikini top was super cute with the tinsel in the middle and the padded bra part was well-made and not flimsy. I washed it in the washing machine on the delicate cycle and let it air dry. I'm excited to wear it! read more

I wanted to buy 3 Bluetooth speakers on clearance. An employee in electronics (I will leave unnamed) was very rude and said the limit was 1. When I asked to see the policy she could not show me this policy. In the past this store has limited clearance to 3 per item. Then she said I was reselling them, being very judgmental. I never said why I was buying the item. I told her it was none of her business, she said "it's my business". I then complained to a manager about her, and right in front of the manager she again stared at me and said, "it's my business". No, it's not. I don't need to justify why I want to buy an item. If I want to buy toilet paper do I have to wipe my butt with it to prove I'm going to use it and not resell it? It's unreal. I want her fired. Employees shouldn't be confronting customers, staring at them, and demanding they prove they aren't going to resell and item. If something is policy then it should be written down and uniformly applied. read more

The customer service was excellent! Although the store was a bit wiped out from Christmas shoppers, Andrew at customer service was helpful in finding me a location where I could find another Target with sizes for my daughter's Christmas apparel. The holidays have come and gone however merchandise is still not restocked. I have taken two additional visits to this Target looking for sizing over the past month and on neither occasion are they restocked. While they have signs posted at the entrance letting customers know masks are required, this store does not enforce this. 2 weeks ago I shopped at this store and saw a woman with no face covering approach a manager to ask where an item was located. The manager asked her if she had a mask. She said no. The manager told her she needed to wear a mask in the store. She said OK. Then the manager let her continue shopping with no mask. I went to this store again today and saw a different woman shopping with no mask. I saw an employee watching her. I saw 3 employees watch the mask less woman but no one approached her. My husband and I made plans to purchase a sound bar for my parents' 2019 Christmas gift. He died unexpectedly this past May and I wanted to follow through with our plans. I found a great deal online during Target's Black Friday sale event and submitted my order through the app. Unfortunately, the item was back ordered for over three weeks and it was getting close to Christmas. As I tried to navigate life after losing my soulmate, I made a specific effort to follow up on my order. Because of another stressful & unrelated circumstance, the card I used to make my purchase had to be canceled and replaced. As luck would have it, the item was restocked before I could alert anyone of the need to use a different card. My order was canceled and I was devastated. I showed up at the Guest Services counter at the Tempe location not knowing how to begin to explain my situation. Target employee Dylan was so helpful and gracious and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and satisfied. In my grief stricken, panic induced state, I didn't realize that I was at a different location than the one I had made my original reservation. Dylan was able to locate the sound bar in his store. He also price matched the Black Friday sale price and applied the Target gift card balance I used during my initial order. Two other Guest Services employees helped me throughout this whole ordeal (I forgot to note their names). I am so pleased with the effort and compassion displayed by all three of the employees who helped me follow through with a purchase and plan that meant so much to me & my late husband. read more

I'm a huge Target fan! I grew up near this location so it feels a little nostalgic. I stopped by today on my way to an appointment. I had forgotten they're on the smaller side. I was disappointed with how tiny their Maternity section is. I don't even think you could call it a "section" - it was really just 2 racks & that's it. I know it's a weekend so they're busy but the store was surprisingly messy. I made my way through almost the entire store picking up odds & ends & every area seemed disheveled. & aside from the very friendly cashier, everyone else I encountered seemed stressed & rushed. Even before the pandemic, this stores check out lanes were always poorly staffed. They've always had an insufficient number of self checkouts. There only 4 and usually only one full service lane is open. So what you'll encounter is a full size order in the full service lane, 3 more people in line with large orders, then 6-8 people waiting in line to use self check out. The stores remedy is to have the person monitoring self, to use a mobile device and check out small orders from their short podium. This is the absolute WRONG way to run this front end read more

Apparently they close at 10pm when the sign on their own building says 11pm.... I asked an employee and they said "we've been closing at 10pm since covid but they've not given us a new sign". 1- you can't blame the pandemic forever and 2- you're more than capable of printing on a piece of paper to put over your sign to list the correct hours. Not to mention, the employee argued with me as if we were in the wrong. Printing new hours on a piece of paper isn't rocket science. Get it together, Target. read more

I will NEVER use Store Pickup or order online from this Target EVERRRR again and will tell everyone I know not to as well. I attempted to do in store pickup today for 3 items. The email said it's ready to pickup, so I drove 15 minutes there. Surprise, surprise... they don't have any of the items I ordered and didn't even bother email to tell me but they're already taking money out of my account. The manager is a joke, no apologies for my inconvenience, apparently I'm the one that's inconvenience him. the manager told me I can drive 35 minutes to Gilbert location to pick it up there instead. This is the Target we used to shop at when I was a kid. Sure it isn't as large, nor does it have the shiny new sheen of the Target at Tempe Marketplace, but it still holds the charm and memories of random shopping trips of a bygone era. Employees are friendly, and it's easy to navigate through the aisles. Another plus is that this location isn't as busy, and you don't have to battle with the Tempe Marketplace traffic if all you need are random household items just from Target! read more

Megan was absolutely 0 help when finding an item that was tagged at 8.99$, Yet when I proceeded to check out it rang up as 19.99$. So I asked, " Is there anyway you can compromise and let me purchase it for the price it was listed for?" She says, " No I can't' for all I know a guest put it there." Even after showing her proof of a photograph I had took that it was clearly listed 8.99$!! This is a great target store. It is clean and well stocked. I can find anything I need or want here. The employees have always been nice and helpful.
