Had a chance to use the Amazon locker. Sometimes Amazon will double the points back for a purchase if delivering to an Amazon locker while using their credit card (10% instead of the 5%). So my wife tried it out. Once it got delivered, we started getting periodic emails stating that we needed to pick it up, otherwise it would get sent back after a few days. So took a morning walk on a Saturday, and it was easy to use. Just had to scan the barcode sent via Email, and the right door opened right up. I had a very disappointing experience at the Ross in Long Beach, CA. The customer service was extremely poor, specifically from Martha, who is a manager. She was by far one of the rudest managers I've ever interacted with dismissive, unprofessional, and unwilling to help. Claudia also seemed unsure of what she was doing and lacked basic customer service skills. A retail store should be welcoming and accessible to everyone, and that was not the case here. Overall, this location lacks professionalism, proper customer service training, and basic courtesy. I will not be returning to this Ross and would not recommend it to others. read more

If you hate going through TSA then try a different Ross. I knew where I was headed when I left the house so I left my purse at home because I didn't want any assumptions made about me. If you're lucky you'll get the tall one to recite store policy or whatever he said before letting you in the store. This is a busy location so it's best to get here early and you absolutely don't have to worry about getting trampled by hello kitty re sellers. I've been going to the store many many years, seeing people in and out I don't understand how they're so bad to their staff. One cashier two of lucky my life isn't so great, but I do know I feel comfortable going with Gloria, who does a change your room is working. This is the reason why I'm writing my review. She has such a good relationship with customers and it's so welcoming and is always working so hard. There's two others that have been there a while just as long as Gloria. Me and my daughter went in today to this Ross tall lady taking care of the dressing rooms light hair gordita, might have been a manager she kept directing workers on a headpiece. Anywho, rudeeeeee AF we had 3 pieces of clothing 3 shorts that's it and she check every piece inside the pockets and when we came out as well like da fuq??? You're checking receipts at the door you have the alarms things on the clothing and the machines that sound when you exit if you're taking something I didn't see the purpose of her checking the clothing unless it was just for us. Also an order lady was arguing with her about the restrooms. The no use of restroom is wrong, you should be able to tell when it's a transient to protect the store and paying customers. Love the way I get greeted by the security and the workers and when I'm trying on clothes the lady named Gloria is extremely thorough and making sure the clothes are hung up and put on the hangers always has a smile on her face I just think she's a great asset to Ross love this store good selections !!! read more

Terrible selection, they are located in a tourist town and had ZERO selections for swimsuits. I was going to buy some socks, shoes and a few other things just as impulse buys. I needed to go to the restroom, asked where it was, and to my surprise they had no restrooms for customers! I could not continue shopping, so I left what was in my shopping cart, we didn't come back. 03/12/21 I came here to get things for my home and my daughter, and do some browsing. It was a busy day, I got there around noon. As I walked in I was greeted as always, and saw that the store was a bit hectic. There were shoes all over the place, clothes on the floor and in together in the racks. I really like Ross as a brand but this location intimidated me a little bit. The security guard at the front of the store was very nervous looking and questioned people walking by making for an uneasy entry. There was no bathroom on site and no one knew where the closest one may be. Staff were just doing their jobs with no extra effort on the kindness scale. As far as selection, I was surprised at how many cool gift options they had and a ton of cool furniture for cheap. There was free timed street parking across the street. And the area didn't seem to be sketchy or unsafe really. Like any other Ross i shop at, this one is up to par and always has what im looking for. Does get kinda busy at times but thats when you just keep shopping until the line dies down. The staff here is pretty organzied and professional, especially being in DTLB, where you never know who's coming through that door. Lol. Other than that they have a huge parking structure which offers 2hours free parking. A few places to eat, Footlocker, Big 5, some other clothing stores, and a ChuckECheese too. I went to Ross to return a few things some shoes that didn't match a outfit I bought them to wear with it and slip shape wear. I had a receipt for everything but one slip. The slip without a receipt the tags were all attached I didn't wear it I had just purchased the wrong size. Karla had a attitude already while doing my return like she didn't want to be at work. Looks at the item says we can't return this. I'm like why you just returned the other one. She stays store policy without receipt. I'm like ok can check my purchase with my card. She says No in a sarcastic tone. Then turns to Maria who says that they don't return shape wear yet I had just returned one. Then proceeded to ask me what day I purchased what register was I at. I felt like I was being interrogated about my purchase like I stole it or something. I walked out feeling violated. This was horrible customer service. I went and drove to the other Ross got in the line. I gave the clerk my return explained I didn't have receipt. She politely told me they couldn't look it up by card but if I had a ID I could get store credit. I asked about that policy of shape wear without receipt and didn't know what I was talking about. I feel that Karla and Maria violated me by profiling me and interrogating me like I was thief. I felt discriminated. read more

Each time, one and the same problem in these stores. Why glue the pricer directly on the goods, not on the packaging, namely the goods. I bought the mirror two days ago and could hardly wash the glue off the pricer from the mirror. Recently I bought a picture and the price tag was glued right in the picture, he tried to take it off, tore off a piece of the picture. It's not clear to the staff that it's impossible to do so !!! People need to keep in mind that this is a discount store not a freakin Nordstrom, and despite this fact the people that work here are always lovely and helpful. The Walmart and Fresh and Easy are gone from city place yet Ross is still standing....why? Because people love shopping here and are always up for a good bargain. And really?! .....really!? Horrible customer service at this location. Two cash registers open when theres an extremely long line. The cashiers sit there and gossip knowing the line is long. They yell "next" with an attituide before you're even done making your payment. One cashier in particular named Danielle was smiling at her Co workers but being rude to customers. I will admit that this is the worst Ross Ive ever shopped at, the people watching is amusing You have the ghetto fabulous people trying to steal things and the undercover cops seem to catch them every time I have set in here. The selection is horrible, racks are messy and its very frustrating shopping here, but I must admit watching a teenage kid try to run out of the store with stolen goods is amusing. You can't help but watch them, its like a cross between the tv show "Cops" and the "Desperate housewives" suburban moms watch as the "bad boys bad boys..whatcha gonna do.." are in full action.
