Every single time I call the number to the store I either spend 20 mins waiting for an operator to answer or wait 10 mins for them to hang up. Their system is completely ABSURD!!!! I've called other racks and the actual store answers. Just this one directs me to a call center first before transferring me to someone at the store. I always find great shoes at Nordstroms & Nordsteom rack - i wear size 5 and most shoes don't even carry anything smaller than size 6. I like the set up of the store. Clean & open. This one is at LB exchange & has plenty of parking & places to eat if you get hungry while shopping. I've gotten many dresses from nordstrom rack at great prices. Over the Labor day weekend sale, I got swimming trunks for my husband for less than. $15 & a dress for myself for about $20 after the extra percentages off for the labor day sale. I came into this location gift shopping. I seen some perfumes online . The gift sets were more in store but the cashier did ask if they can honor the online price in store and I believe it was a manger that told her as long as it's the exact same item which is awesome to know . This location usually has good finds from uggs to perfumes to makeup items . The store is pretty clean as well i usually go early so it's not super packed . Whenever I browse from one section to another various staffers look intently at me like I'm actively plotting theft - it makes me VERY uncomfortable! Tip: The store is situated inside a shopping center with plenty of parking Last time I visited here, I was so uncomfortable with the unwelcome and unnecessary scrutiny from the staff that I just grabbed some sandals that looked nice, paid for them and left - I don't know if I'll be back... I'm a well-dressed, well-mannered, petite woman. If I'm subjected to this type of treatment at this location, I can only imagine how they might behave toward a sinister-looking, poorly dressed person. Management needs to take action! read more

This review is about their return policy... I'm a very unhappy customer right now. I bought 2 pairs of swim trunks for my son in November for Christmas. NEWSFLASH: there are people who actually *do* shop before December. I tried to return them today (1/18/23). I was told I couldn't because it was past the date to return. I told them it was a Christmas present and it hasn't even been 1 month since Christmas. She said they extended Christmas returns so I asked to what date and she said January 15th. So they don't even give 1 month grace period (from Christmas) and I was a mere 3 days after the fact and there's "nothing they can do". They were unworn, tags still on AND I had the receipt. They didn't care. I told them I'd be fine with store credit, it didn't have to be cash. NOPE. *angry face* So now I'm stuck with something that doesn't fit my son and am out the money spent for them. I am huge fan of Nordstrom's Rack or forsake of the limit of characters on the review "The Rack". I have been to many different stores all around Southern and Northern California as well as some on the east coast and have never really had a negative thing to say about them. The were always a go to store for me whether it was something formal, business business casual or casual, I always found quality named brand clothes for every category just like I was shopping at Nordstroms except I was saving anywhere from 30%-75% per item! If the last two locations I went to are any indication of the future of "The Rack" than I need to find a new go to place for my wardrobe. Keep in mind the last two locations I have been to I tried 3 different times at each place over the period of 1 month as to know the excuse of it being a "bad" or "off" day couldn't be used.The selection was terrible for brands and sizes. My wife said there purse selection and women's clothes in general has been as bad as what I've been experiencing. So unfortunately this is not a fluke and not just limited not 1 type of clothing or accessories or even sex, it's a store wide issue. Terrible customer service btw which isn't a surprise this day and age but they seemed to be going out of their way to make you feel unwanted in the store. Any suggestions on different companies that could provide me with some of the old Nordstrom's Rack selections? Would love some help! read more

No matter what the sticker price is on the item you want to buy here, they can, and will tell you it's the wrong sticker. Today, the sticker price on the shoes we were buying was $8, then when we went to ring it up, the price went to $37. Speaking of light'n the loafers, the sweet manager backed up his ridiculous employees stance on the issue, so we bought them from Amazon instead. We wanted to support local, but this is just one of many reasons that this chain will probably be soon on the list of "Going out of business" companies. My favorite location to spend money I don't have. Like any other Nordstrom rack, there are many brands available at discounted prices with a variety of options. Main thing I like about this location is that it's always clean, organized, and have a fairly full inventory. Only time it was barren was when covid first hit and everything was on 75% clearance. read more

Winner, winner, winner! Water, donuts and a gift card. Can't wait to use it all. Located at the corner of Carson and Lakewood in the new Long Beach Exchange (LBX) shopping center is the newest Nordstrom Rack of them all. UI believe this will replace the old Rack at the Lakewood Mall. Plenty of wide parking spaces and decent shopping choices are available. While walking the new and beautiful aisles of the Rack, everyone one, customers and Rack employees alike, were all excited as we meandered through the assortment of goods to be purchased. My first visit was short, but fun. If these pleasantries continue I'll be sure to keep coming back. read more

This Nordstrom Rack is brand new, (opened short of 2 weeks ago), in the new Long Beach Exchange (LBX) shopping center. This store is a few doors down from Ulta, with plenty of parking. I stopped by this location with my husband and our little girl dog (all Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores are dog friendly) yesterday afternoon, around 3 pm. It was definitely busy but not crowded. This store is pretty big, bigger than the location at the Marina Pacifica and the one in Cerritos. On this visit, I left empty handed and was disappointed that the watch and jewelry section/ display case was on the small side. But I did like that the handbags, shoes and (women's) clothing section was neat and easy to find. If I lived in this area, I would definitely come back to browse (with Nordstrom Rack, it is a hit or miss with shopping visits. In order to find specific items that you may be looking for, you have to go on multiple, frequent visits and dig. Sounds like a bit of work and effort, but once you find that particular item, it is well worth the time spent. Or you could always just pay full price or settle for something that isn't what you really want). The ladies restroom (in the back of the store, next door to the fitting rooms) was clean and adequately stocked with the essentials on this visit. As my husband and our little girl waited for me as I shopped, my husband was able to get onto the store's fast (free) WiFi (perfect for patient and bored spouses). read more

My feet were physically hurting because my shoes were so worn out. Came here and found MULTIPLE pairs of shoes I was going to buy. Headed to the checkout and found that the checkout line was wrapped around the inside of the store! They had only about 3 checkers working a line this size. Unbelievable! I had made a phone call to this store asking about making a return. I was told over the phone "sure come in just bring your receipt" . I get to the store which is 20 minutes away and get told after they scanned my receipt with the date and price and everything on it; they then decide to say that they cannot do the return because they have been worn. This is based solely on the fact that I made an online purchase order that got shipped to this location. I came to pick up my orders and I was given a single box in the morning. By the time I got home and opened the box I only got 2 out of 3 items. So when I came back there was a long line outside and I asked customer service and told them that I wasnt given my full order for my online order and they told me to go wait in line still for their mistake. I would not have minded if the line was short but it reached all the way to in n out and I was short on time. I believe given their mistake of not giving me my full order and when I had to drive all the way back here to grab my order they should let me get it. I am not walking around the store to shop. This location is perfect for those who hate going to the malls. No need to fight they crowd. No need to fight for parking space. No need to drive far. This is just perfectly situated close to everything. You can grocery shop at Whole Foods, get coffee at Starbucks or Dunkin', then grab a lunch or dinner at nearby restaurants. Heck you can even go to a recently opened brewery after shopping all day. This Rack has a lot of newer things for much less than regular Nordstrom prices. Lots of options to chose from and best of all the store is very clean and organize. You'll actually find the right sizes of the clothes you're looking for at the right location unlike other stores where you'd have to check each one to see the size. The staff are also friendly. Cashiers are always moving fast so no need to wait in line for long. Best of all, their return policy is the best. Ordering online for home delivery? BEWARE. Nordstom Rack uses an obscure delivery service (saving them lots of money yet costing them customers) so don't expect UPS, USPS, FedEx, or DHL service. I called customer service to switch to home delivery since their driver refused to use call box or leave box with neighbor, and Nordstrom Rack will not switch to home delivery. Customer service was unhelpful and did not communicate as promised (2 emails they told me to expect). I will never use home delivery with Nordstrom Rack again. Nordstrom & Nordstrom Rack is a crappy place when it comes to customer service. First of all, they answer the phones only to tell you that they can't help you. I placed an order and changed the ship to address but when I got to the end of the order the ship to address had defaulted back to my address causing the delivery to come to me instead of the recipient! I redid the order and it did the same thing again I called customer service and the order says preparing to ship so obviously it hasn't shipped out yet. I asked the rep to change the address or cancel the order that was just placed mind you, only to be told they couldn't help me. I was so mad that I just hung up in the supervisors face. As soon as the 2nd pair of the same sock arrives I will be returning both of them! I use my Nordy card once a year and I honestly don't know why I even bother to keep the card open because EVERYTHING is overpriced unnecessarily and some of the clothing is so hideous that it isn't worth what it costs. I figured a flower pot & socks were purchasable & safe from being in the ugly sweater category! Nordstrom Rack is just where the defected items go that no one can tell what's really wrong with the item at a cheaper price. I came here to check the reviews, unfortunately too late. I too had an issue with Alejandro as other people reported. He was completely rude and flip over a return that was outside the window. It was like he couldn't be bothered to talk to me or address my concern. My return had the tags on it, was not used, and I had the receipt. As others mentioned I was willing to accept store credit or even a reduced price. But no! And he was so rude. Nordstrom just lost a customer. Oh but according to Alejandro, that's fine because a lot of his customers spend a lot of money. So it doesn't matter that I did too. My items were supposed to arrive yesterday then I got a notice that there another week out. I just ordered because of convenience. I could've just went to my local store and got it right away. Pretty much every store I order from items come super fast because of Covid. Retailers understand people want their stuff but do not want to be exposed while shopping. Great location and ample amount of parking spaces. 1st weekend open since covid19 closure and the store was well organized! The store followed cdc guidelines perfectly. 6ft markers were noted on the floors outside leading to the entrance and continued through out the store. Check out station had plexi glass and sanitizers at every station. We were welcomed with wiped down carts and sanitizer if needed. With such a huge sale, surprisingly the store was mess free! Selections and sizes were available. Great place to find business attire for work. Variety of makeup selection. Snagged great deals total of 8 items for $101! I love hunting for good deals and rarely buy clothes or shoes at full price. Why would I if 2 weeks later they'll be marked down 20-40% off? Furthermore, knowing that places such as Nordstrom Rack exists, with a little bit of time and patience (ok a lot), I can find what I need (and in some cases, want) at the deepest discounts no B&M store can ever offer. The only caveat is, finding that perfect item is like panning for gold. As a case in point, today I decided to take a detour to visit this particular NR since it was on my way home from work and I needed a new pair of comfortable shoes. When I walked in I immediately got distracted by this huge sign that said "Clear the Racks (aka Clearance) until Sept 5th". Awesome! It never hurts to browse through the clearance racks and quite a few things caught my eye: a Tory Burch blouse -$15, J Brand denim - $59, R&R denim - $30, Bcbgmaxazria wool blazer - $29, Theory capris - $40 and Tahari tees - $15-20. I tried them all but sadly, none of them made the cut. I walked over to the shoe section and saw a lot of Tory Burch tall boots. They were still a tad too pricey for me and did not have any additional %off so I passed on that. There was an uncomfortable pair of Manolos, some Vera Wang Lavender flats, Coach wedges and sandals, Donald J Pliner heels, Cole Haan pumps and a lot of other brands. I was particularly interested in a pair of Cole Haan peeptoe pumps with a snakeskin leather print. I seem to recall seeing the same pattern and color on a platform pump in Jimmy Choo's pre-fall 2011 collection!!! I looked at the price and I almost jumped for joy. It was marked down to $41, 85%off the original price of $278! Those shoes were MINE! Though I scored a good deal on shoes, this NR was just okay to me. I wish the store was bigger and had a better clothes selection (I didn't see any petite sizes). I am giving the Lakewood NR 3 stars for cleanliness, location and a decent shoe section! read more

Compared to the amount of racks for every other size, this store can't just spring for one more plus size rack so that I can at least look through everything? After a few weeks the Handel on the bag was fraying and coming undone. My grandmother took the purse back in an attempt to have it fixed or exchanged and brought a receipt to go through with it. The manager on duty, a younger, thin, white women with dark brunette hair who identified as the manager refused to do anything about the purse and I quote told my grandmother to "take it up with Kate Spade". My grandmother did not argue with her in any way shape or form and decided to go another Nordstrom's rack elsewhere. Upone her going to another store they immediately helped and exchanged the item with no hesitation. We have been long term customers of the rack and of the actual store and will not be supporting this branch any longer. read more

I'm not too picky. I just like lots of variety, and they have to look cute on the feet. Last summer I bought several pairs of Champion slippers from Payless. So comfy. But it's time to trade them in for 2013 styles. I looked at DSW, Payless, Sears, JC Penney, and various independent shoe stores. No sale. So, a friend suggested Nordstom Rack. I hadn't shopped there before. Nicely laid out store. All shoes along the back wall. What a wide variety of styles, each one very comfortable. I've been to this store time and time again and thought I reviewed it already. Go figure I was going elsewhere and had no intention on stopping. The store was well stocked, as it usually is. I found a lot of great deals, which surprised me for this time of year. Winter selections are usually boring and drab. Not today! I walked out with quite a few items from shirts, blouses, and blazers, to dresses. My only issues...customer service at the check out counter isn't the best. Today, the lady flagged me to step up, but didn't smile or greet me, even after I said hello. Umh...okay. She was quick to ask if I wanted a credit card, but whatever!
