TJ Maxx on Bellflower is the smaller of two stores in Long Beach and typically the more organized location. There's ample parking in the lot shared with the Sports Basement. I always like to start perusing the handbags to the right of the entrance and moseying through skincare and beauty, kitchen, and (my favorite) the stationery and craft section in the back middle. I've returned time and time again because their hardcover book selection is honestly so hard to beat; the two fantasy novels in my pictures were only $12-13 when they retail elsewhere for double that and then some. In fact, I was able to complete the series AND find the spinoff coloring books for my friend who's a huge fan! Continuing through the store, you'll find pet supplies (my rescue dog's favorite, of course) to the left rear, followed by the kids' section - also great for gifting - and other apparel. The first time I came to this store, the associate very nearly sold me on their credit card; I've forgotten her name, but wow, well done :) Happy to come by anytime I'm stuck in traffic on 7th St because you'll always find something fun! read more

I have been shopping at this TJ Maxx for many years. It most definitely has always been one of my favorites when it comes to cleanliness and customer service and products. The issue I'm having is I had one pair of shoes that I had bought about a week ago I had the return through email receipt. I went in right before I had an appointment tonight 30 minutes before expecting to be in and out how to cashier don't know her name Seemed very nice but could not figure out how to get the return done off of my email receipt because it was not scanning then I guess the store manager was standing right next to her. His name is Jesse. He offered to help try to scan my receipt from my phone, unable to scan my receipt for my phone. He said my only option was to get store credit. I told him no that is not my only option I have the receipt. I should be able to get the money back on my card. He said no we can only do store credit. I persisted and said no there's definitely another way you can do this as a store manager he should know other ways to handle situations like this. The receipt email not being able to be scanned from the system. Has nothing to do with me. I did my part by having my receipt. He took my phone so he can look at the email then I don't know what he did. He pressed some numbers on the computer and copied some numbers off of the receipt and boom the return was done just like that and money was able to go back to my card. The thing that upset me was, he was so over trying to help me out in another way, and just automatically was trying to force me to get store credit when that is not how I wanted my refund, especially with having my receipt I should've been able to get it back to my card I should not have had to push and have to get attitude just to make him go above the the minimum work sadly, I had to throw a fit in order for him to just do it the way it was supposed to be done because he was trying to take the easy way out and just give me a store credit definitely not good service from the store manager Jesse more like lazy and seemed like he did not want to help read more

I rarely shop at stores like TJ Max because it's overwhelming with mostly 1 off items (clothing) and things scattered everywhere. But on a recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised. Relatively clean and organized. Say what...and during the holidays!!! This pleasant surprise and kept me in the store much longer than expected. For the first time in I am not sure how long, I actually browsed the aisles and enjoyed my shopping experience. The store was full of merchandise, some areas overflowing, but the variety kept my interest. And....they had multiples on numerous items in the same area. This store even had the red tag clearance section completely organized. They didn't have much of a selection for holiday decor items or blankets. SELECTION of clothing is disappointing. Not much of a selection of anything here. Womens clothes, although seems to be in abundance, really isn't. If you look at the racks, very few items in all sizes. When there is a lot, it's all the same style. No variety in the womens clothing, so I would not say this store appeals to all women. Lots of mid drifts and revealing tops. Not everyone shows off their midriff during summer. Some people gotta work and buy clothes appropriate for the office. Maybe this isn't the place to shop if you need office wear. Went to look at the men's clothing to pick some shirts up for my son. Its July, I'm assuming they would have a nice selection of summer apparel, like Hawaiian print shirts. Very skimpy selection and the shirts appear to run small. QUALITY of clothing appears to be comparable to H&M, but pricier here. KNICK KNACKS galore. If you like rummaging through stuff in general, this place will have some appeal. That's the excitement of buying from a discount store that isn't organized like a department store. T.J.Maxx is my comfort store! My first stop for some retail therapy. I've recently moved to Long Beach and this was my first time popping into this location and happy to say I've found my spot! The store is huge, so you're bound to find something (I know I did). Love the location: plenty of parking in a huge shared lot, close to other shops like Trader Joe's, sears and a post office. It's also very clean and organized for the size and the amount of traffic that it gets (I spent a lot of time here on a Sunday, whoops) Colette also went above and beyond in her customer service, suggesting places around LB when I told her I just moved here and also staying a little over her shift because my cc got denied (oops!) but we were able to figure it out and she was super kind and patient. I'll definitely be a regular here if my bank account allows it! read more

This TJ Maxx is my favorite. Things are organized and clean and the associates are always very friendly. Recently I had an issue with a piece of luggage I purchased. The store manager (or manager on duty around 10am on 9/20) was so helpful and kind. She troubleshot with me to find a solution and went above and beyond for me. I really appreciate this level of customer service! She did all this while a LOT of other issues were happening at once, and she was able to multitask without losing her cool. Give this girl a raise. Not the stores fault but Corp someone switched my Account to paper less billing. I never requested this, I don't look at my emails that often for bills because I have everything mailed to me. I missed a payment they are charging me $27 for a late pay. I called customer service and they will not waive that fee even though I never requested paperless billing! I tore up my card and I will never be using the TJ Maxx credit card ever again I have been a loyal customer for years and years and years !!! read more

Today I found the cutest clothes and shoes I've seen in awhile. TJ Maxx always has the deals so I didn't have to pay very much. I scored some cute red pumps, jolt pants, and I found the cutest white top. I was feeling pretty good. When I got to the front of the line, I noticed that my top had makeup stains on it. I really had my hopes up that the manager would help me out. The top was $16.99 and after showing the stains to the manager on duty today, he put a tag on it for $15. The manager then gave it to the sales associate to give to me and I chose not to purchase the shirt anymore. I guess I expected the manager to to give me a better deal considering the top was stained. He just put the tag in the shirt and walked away. I wasn't really feeling that. :/ Anyway, I enjoyed the inventory today. I always do. I was a bit disappointed by the way the shirt was handled. Was helping a friend shop for new work attire and decided to stop in. Lovely store, but not the greatest selection of men's products. As a matter of fact I asked the employee at the jewelry counter if they had any men's colognes as I saw an entire table of women's perfume but she stated they really didn't have any unless they were out on this clearance table. I really enjoy this location! It's big and organized. There's always some great merchandise and I feel like it's never too crowded. I do tend to go early in the morning which might help be why I always find it organized and not crowded but I will say other locations I've been too are messy regardless of the time or day. read more

Honestly best Tjmaxx in all of Long Beach and Southern California. Shout out to all of the employees, they were all so extremely sweet and welcoming. I just came in to shop and thought I lost my purse inside of the store. I was so worried/panicking but every single employee was helping me find my bag. They all got together on the walkie talkies and were all trying to help me I was so impressed at how sweet everybody was, I wish I would've gotten their names. It seemed like they were just as worried as I was to find my bag, which was so sweet. Luckily we were able to find my bag, bc I left my bag in the car the whole time! Ugh silly me. Tried on a bunch of work clothes today and ended up buying this navy blue top, polka dot skirt, and nice work shoes and a bunch of nice pants, tops, basically a new wardrobe with the help of Geri in the Fitting Room. She was extremely helpful and wonderful and gave me the biggest room to help try what was around over $700 in clothing which I had to narrow down to $200. I got a bunch of clothes and shoes and I hope to return again soon when she works, Monday and Wednesday's 1-5:00 PM. Huge THANK YOU TO GERI IN THE FITTING ROOM for helping me shop!!! You're the best! Yes! Got the perfect gift box here for a huge glass bowl I needed to wrap up for a wedding gift. First, I tried Daiso but their boxes were too small. Next, I tried Ross. They had large boxes in the size I needed but the designs were very overdone and tacky. Then I tried Kohl's, but they didn't have any boxes. Finally, I tried TJ Maxx and they had the loveliest ones! The ones in gray and mint green were simple but elegant and have magnetic closures, which is a great feature. At $9.99 for the largest size that these boxes come in, I'm glad to spend it on a box that isn't just pretty for holding her gift but is functional afterward for storage. When I'm looking for something nice and look expensive but not really paying the full price TJ Maxx and Marshall's are the two places to go. I like this TJ Maxx. I recently found dresses to wear to weddings this summer and presents for friends and family members here for decent price. TJ Maxx and Marshall's need lots of patience. TJ Maxx is one of those retail stores that has become one of my favorites. Resembling somwhat of a Marshall's and Ross, TJ Maxx is the one place that I am sure to find what it is I need. Located right inside a big shopping center that boasts an LA Fitness, parking in this big lot is always plentiful. Inside, it is quite big with much to see and find. They have different sections here, from clothing to shoes to household applicants and such. I have always came here being treated with good service. Anytime I needed help looking for a certain item, the staff here are very helpful in doing so. Its such an advantage having the gym right next door. In case you forgot your gym gear, buy your items here, then walk right next door!! Other than that, I'll continue to give them my business!!!! read more

Hooooo-wee! This one faaan-cey discount store. Maybe it's just because it's (relatively) new, but it's pretty well organized and just set up all fancy schmancy. I've been to this location a few times now, and have always left empty-handed. Even though it's a new store their selection doesn't match other TJ Maxx locations, or even the Marshall's right down the street. Still, it is fancy schmancy, and I don't feel like I totally have to be embarrassed by shopping there like I do when I'm at Ross. I mean, what? I don't shop at Ross! That's ludicious!
