Its TJ Maxx, what else is there to say. They either have what you are looking for or not. Staff sometimes friendly, store sometimes clean.

I was in the area and dropped in. Had couple of things that cought my eye here. From the helloween decor found some cute dazzling black pumpkins. Make up was fun found me some Mac eyeshadows for less than 10$ each. Saw a nice patent leather jacket that wAs 50$ I didn't brose the whole store just saw these item on the way in. I didn't have much time to do shopping since I was not in town for that. I can't wait to visit again with my time. Found something new to do when I am in long beach. Good brands for great prices. Great location but I must say that the Men get a raw deal at this store. The selection is very limited as compared to other stores in the chain. My biggest complaint is that there isn't even a Men's shoe section! I know women are the intended demographic but come on TJ, throw the guys a bone. The guys section is hidden away in a corner to the right and there isn't a good selection of dress, casual, or active wear. Very few name brands to chose from. Good thing I like to cook because the kitchen section is always well stocked. The rest of the store is satisfactory but still lacking in total merchandise in my opinion unless you're looking for an iPhone 5 case, they have plenty of those lying around. read more

I don't really have anything bad to say about TJ Maxx. They have clothes, books, toys, accessories...etc. They have killer interior decorations for your home, and the best misc. items at the check out line area. I mainly come here to find gifts for friends or to put care packages together! You'll find some really cute cards, stationery, baskets, notebooks, and THE CUTEST notebooks! read more

After writing this review, I followed it up with a call to Corporate this morning. Receiving a call back from Josh, the stores General Manager. He apologized for my experience, stated the importance of customer service and that the manager should have communicated in a more effective manner, and should have honored the lower price. He not only pulled the suitcase from the floor, he honored the lower price that was reflected on the bag on Saturday, and he also offered an additional $20 gift card to be used on this purchase if I still wanted it. And of course I thanked him for rectifying the situation. My friend then went to the store to purchase the suitcase for me, and was assisted by Matt, who also offered his apologies for the matter reaching this level. I am a longtime TJ Maxx shopper and the stores management and associates can make the shopping experience good or bad, and the bad experience I had on Saturday was made up for today...Thank you Josh, I truly appreciate your service!! read more

I love TJ Maxx and each has it's own flavor. This one seems to have one of the best assortments of jewelry. They also seem to have better quality (meaning less beaten up) furniture. Their shoes are a hit or a miss - some of my best finds have been at this location, but most of the time the shoes aren't anything special. Funny I ready Ally W's comment about the manager - and I remembered thinking it was odd that I've seen this too. In fact, the last time the employee told her to stop bugging her. My thought was that this must be a fun place to work - so I've encouraged my son to apply. And, have to agree with the others - this place is kept organized and clean. Completely the polar opposite of the Ross at the LB Towne Center or at the traffic circle. read more

Favorite location because it's right next to LA Fitness and i'll usually drop by to see what fitness clothes they have in stock. The staff is pretty friendly I dont know if it was because it was early in the morning but either way lots of smiles. This associate was walking around organizing the racks and still made time to say hi to everyone wich was pretty cool. At other locations i've seen associates look so to them selfs or too serious. New, new, new TJ Maxx, same merch, same racks, same everything - but get this - the most GLAMOROUS dressing rooms ever!! It is worth visiting this new store just to go in that fancy dressing room and pretend you is a Movie Stah! The mirror is lined with two not-too-bright lights and a cute little leather stool. The store is exceptionally clean and everyone was over the top helpful, but it is new and not to be too skeptical, I wonder how long that happy attitude lasts. It is in the Sears section on Bellflower in the old Circuit City building. I wonder where the Halloween shop that used to be housed in this building will be this year? Love me some TJ Maxx. I have yet to meet one that I didn't want to spend all my money in! The only thing that is kind of annoying about this location, is that the manager is always socializing with her employees, rather than talking with customers. Sometimes she's talking about business issues, other times just chit-chatting (I'm in here probably more than I should be - my gym is right down the street!). That's my only complaint, she's really nice when she talks to customers (if you can break her away from her employees) The selection is great for clothes, purses, accessories, bath stuff, and all home goods. Shoe selection could be improved upon, but I normally go to Marshall's or Nordstrom Rack for my shoe fetish. read more

My first TJ Maxx experience was off Sepulveda near LAX. Actually, it was a TJ Maxx Home Goods but I did spend a fair amount of time in the clothing section ...with good reason! Top brands galore! Joe's Jeans, Free People, Sevens, Rock and Republic. Even the shoes were cute: Jessica Simpson, Steve Madden! ...all of which this location DOES NOT OFFER :( I was so excited based on on the TJ Maxx near LAX but once I perused the store in Cerritos, I found myself thoroughly DISAPPOINTED. Fairly organized but a poor selection. I felt like I was digging through clothes from several seasons ago. At such close proximity to the mall, I might as well purchase clothes actually in style from Forever for equal or less the amount I'd pay otherwise. read more

Normally I am a lover of all TJ Maxx stores but this store is still a hot mess. The employee's are socializing more than organizing or helping customers. This place does have a nice selection of purses of all prices and name brands. The clothes selection wasn't very impressive and overall the store needs some work...it opened not too long ago so I will check back and write a new review if things change. read more

Honestly just not my favorite place to shop. I go because of my gf and for me it's just a stroll around to see if there is anything random I may like and to kill time but for the most part it's just really it's just browsing. Honestly, whatever I find I look online to find anything comparable on Amazon like I'm sure most people do...I think. It's really a hit or miss. Surely TJ Maxx is one of the best discount stores in the US, I always find products with great prices and quality, just have patience and look good, you will always find something good, nice and cheap! I like a lot and highly recommend it!   The shops are always well organized and clean. read more

Another first for me too. I thought TJ MAX was another Ross but it is basically like a brand name outlet. It's pretty nice store. I came with my friend and he says that this is smaller than the one at his place in Irvine. I'm interested in coming back and seeing what they have to offer. read more

It's a nice store. The staff was helpful without being intrusive. I wound up with only one blouse and was really hoping to get a new purse. The selection is large for the purses, but I just couldn't get exactly what I was looking for. I"m pretty picky. But the quality of the items was first rate and the prices were good. I hope they get a better selection of larger sizes. My niece always finds great things at the San Diego store. I'll go back again and see how they do. read more

I absolutely love this Tj max. It is by far the cleanest one I have been in. And I always find something to purchase even if I walk in just expecting to look. They honestly have a really good beauty section. I have purchased many makeup brushes from well know brands such as crown, morphe, Elle all the way to real beauty blenders. I also always find a new shoe that calls my name and I give in to that voice that says wear me. You'll look so cute. I'll be shopping there for new shoes tomorrow. read more

I had a bit of time to waste, so I decided to spend some money. While driving, I saw this place, and I decided to check it out and see if they had anything. Places like these are hit or miss. They could have a lot of good stuff. They could have nothing. Today, when I went, they were having a big clearance sale. I walked around. I found a non-brand belt (not on sale) for $5.99. I saw other cool things like a cupcake holder in the shape of a train set. I saw a book on how to make your baby an internet celebrity. I saw lots of cell phone cases. All things that would be cool to have, but things that I don't need. My favorite purchase today (besides the belt) was baby spoons! I know. Right? I'm crazy. But ten baby spoons in a pack for $3.99! At Target, I get the same ones in a pack of five or six for that price! Lol. It doesn't seem like that much of a difference, but when you have a baby, things go missing... and it's good to have backups. Anyway, this location was lacking in the men's and shoes department. Everything else had a decent selection as far as how many items they had. If you are looking for luggage, then, I would definitely say this is your place. They had a lot! read more

I shop at several Stores in OC and I typically purchase a fairly large amount of items. I am stunned that the treatment at this location is so blatantly rude. I dealt with an associate that refused to assist me open up beauty items to check that they are in tack at checkout, which REALLY took me aback, because every other location usually tells me they need to open the items. I had quite a bit, so after several minutes I expressed my disappointment that he was unwilling to help. Which was apparently really funny because the other associates started laughing. So with that I decided to leave. I said something to the manager on the way out and instead of being apologetic she stated it was probably because It is late. Mind you, it was about 9:35 - 9:40. I was completely respectful and legitimately just wanted a little help! There must be a HUGE lack of leadership here. Poor customer service is one thing...having an associate tell me I can do it myself, another two laugh at me when I asked for help, and the manager justify it because it's past their bed time is simply pathetic. Several other small comments were made, but this group isn't worth the time. The other locations are SO MICH BETTER than this. read more
