I tried Tullemoss Boutique as my last resort. Yes, they have a little bit higher price point. But the way they can put an outfit together and make you feel gorgeous is exactly what I needed. I felt cute, chic, and trendy, and was able to stay warm with the cute jacket she paired with my outfit for a December birthday dinner outside. Definitely come here if you need that special outfit, or want to feel like 1 million bucks. Tullemoss sells exactly the type of clothes that I like to wear but unfortunately it is not at my price point. They carry brands such as BB Dakota, Bella Dahl, Sanctuary, Level 99, Wildfox, etc. They also carry wonderful jewelry and some bags. Their jewelry ranges in the $40-60 range for smaller pieces but is is gold plated and not cheap looking. I also found a leather bag that I liked but it was almost $300. Customer service is not pushy at all. I would probably buy something here for a special occasion but since I shop a lot, this is not a place that can become a habit unless I want to be evicted. read more

CANNOT RETURN ITEMS... Make sure you read your receipt. I think any store that does not allow returns or exchanges of the majority of their unused items in 7 days does not have much confidence in what they sell. I've shopped here a few times and never had to take anything back, but was surprised by the policy when I did. I know small shops oftentimes can't afford returns, but come on, sometimes we do change our mind.... I will be looking for a different boutique for future purchases. Overall: cute styles, crappy quality, high prices. Wouldn't go back. The saleswoman kept telling me that the owner/buyer buys really unique pieces I wouldn't find at the mall... I was unimpressed though. Maybe the BRANDS are different than you'd find at the mall, but the styles and quality were pretty similar. There was lots of polyester and rayon. I spotted a couple of things by Collective Concepts which is cute stuff, but it's not unique. You can buy it at trade shows! It's all made in China! They sell it new at Buffalo Exchange! They do sell Desigual, which is a quality Spanish brand, but I find their pieces to be unattractive. The jewelry was cute. I won't be back. read more

Dear 3 star reviewer, Most of the stuff isn't "typical". Pinne's job is to find clothing that is unique and fashion forward [or backward, if you are like me and don't have a preference for what is trendy; only what looks good]. If "typical" is what you like to buy then shop else where. Forever 21, Target and H&M has lots in store for you! For the rest of you who don't like people biting your style, then shop at your own risk. The Gap, Banana, JCrew, Club Monaco, Zara, etc....are priced the same if not more and hey! I know where you got that! Tullemoss is such a great addition to this shopping center on Bellflower Blvd. The owner Pinne designs a lot of the clothing in Tullemoss herself and buys the handbags and shoes from Europe. All of the clothing is European and Asian (Japanese) inspired. They also have handmade local jewelry designs, and jeans. If you get a chance and love fashion, you should definitely go visit Tullemoss. They don't have a website yet though. read more

Horrible customer service. Wasn't even acknowledged and I'll be damn if I pay exorbitant prices in a boutique when I'm not acknowledged.

Been wanting to visiting for a while since I've seen this place in passing for so long. I wasn't planning on buying anything, but walked out with an item, and a whimiscal wish I could have bought one more. Cool stuff there. Definately for the more mature women waredrobe, meaning no teeny boppers. Elegant shop, with lots to choose from but isn't cluttered. The owner was helping another guest and she seemed to know the customer fairly well. So you could tell she takes care to get to know her customers and their preferences. She was personable yet professional. She definately is a sales kind of person, knowing all the right things to say to make a person feel fabulous in whatever they try on. And unlike reps at most big box clothing stores, the owner certainly knows her clothes and understands how they should and will fit. The prices are on the higher end, which the dresses I looked at being in the $70 and over range. So if you're used to Target/Forever 21 pricing, you're not going to like this place. But the quality is much better and you'll know that you have a unqiue piece of clothing. If the 2nd dress I loved was in the $40-$50 range, I would have probably walked out with it too. The shop door is facing the street, so you can park on the street if there's space or you can park in the back, but if you're not familiar with the place, you might be circling around for a bit. read more

Tullemoss is my favorite boutique shopping spot in Long Beach. The owner, Pinne, is great and knows how clothes should fit. The prices are reasonable and the items are unique. I am hooked! That's because Pinne continues to bring forward fashion to our community. I still check out what's going on at the mall, Nordstroms, etc. but I buy at Tullemoss. What I love is how Pinne can narrow down what items look best on customers. She knows how to build an outfit and she never pressures customers to buy. Accessories, as others have mentioned are primarily handmade and not overpriced. A good place to start when looking for a special gift item. I must admit - I'm a regular. I am truly disappointed with the customer service I received today, after being refused the ability to exchange a blouse costing $87. I put the item on layaway for two weeks (which is no a practice, but an exception) but, unfortunately I didn't try it on. However, today before purchasing it, I tried it on and wasn't pleased with the fit; I saw another top I liked and wanted to exchange it. I was informed it couldn't be done because it was a layaway. I expressed that the customer should be the one who walks away happy but, with a smile I was told "we can't ". For me it felt like the customer was a not the priority. Therefore, I will not patronize their business; This was a store known for making their customers happy. read more

I always find something I love when I go here. This boutique offers unique styles that you won't see at the mall. The clothes here are fun yet sophisticated. It is hard to describe the styles offered here since they are not the mainstream, trendy stuff. The clothes are like Anthropologie with more edge. The owner personally goes to countries in Asia to shop for some of her items - which explains why she has styles not offered anywhere else. If you're looking for a hoochie-mama outfit you won't find it here. All the clothes are made out of quality material (silk, silk blends, high-end cotton) so the clothes are comfortable and will last. They are NOT cheap clothes that will start to fall apart after wearing them a couple times. The owner is there most of the time and she is very helpful and attentive. If you want, she'll help you pick out clothes and will put outfits together for you. Some of the clothes look better on you than they do on the hanger - so you just have to try them on. She also has a great selection of accessories which includes belts, bags, scarfs, and jewelry. Parking is easy and the store is always clean and organized. I love shopping here! read more

Poor customer service!! When there is only two customers, associate should acknowledge the third customer coming in. If you ask your potential customer to pay $100 for a simple button down be nice and aware of your customers. Never going back. When shopping the associates should make the customer feel welcome. Tammy helped me when I came in yesterday! She was really helpful and I loved that she gave me an honest opinion about some of the clothing. It made me feel more comfortable trying stuff on and being able to shrug some clothes on and say, "No.. I don't 'love' this piece.." BUT I did fall in love with the white dress that was in the window display. Only, the one I fell in love with was the black version and the moment I slipped it on, I had decided that I couldn't leave the store without the dress. It was definitely worth the $60 & some dollars I paid, to me, because it was such a unique piece and not the kind of dress or design (OR FIT) that's easy to find. Anther piece I loveeeed was a large, red and black flannel. The material was so smooth and almost silky! It draped over my so nicely and would've been cute for a casual day-to-day kind of thing. Unfortunately even @ 50% it was still $70+ and for a flannel? That was my one qualm. Basically, the customer service gets a definite 5 for 5 from me. Tammy was so friendly and helpful and brought me cute dresses and pulllovers to try on. I liked so many of them but I'm pretty picky and tend not to buy something unless I LOVE it. But the moment I walked into the boutique there was so much I liked and loved already! I loved the designs and patterns of their blazer/cardigan kind of things! Ugh there was so much I liked and loved at first sight. My only "con" is that I wish the whole store were my closet hahahaha. I saw some extremely cute boots as well! But I had to refrain from asking to see them. They. Were. Gorgeous. The boutique is definitely worth taking a peek at. My friend reccommended that I stop by this store for the cutest clothes. It's a really small boutique, the employees were really friendly and the store was well kept. Most of the stuff was cute, BUT really overpriced for the area and the styles. A lot you would be able to find at typical fashion stores. Most tops were at least $70. Dresses were more than $100. I bought a dress from the sale rack for 50% off. I feel bad for the store because maybe if it were in a more upscale location, it would do better. read more

My boss always raves about this place so when I was at Panvimarn next door for lunch one day I decided to check it out. Turns out both the restaurant and the boutique are owned by members of the same family--interesting tidbit. As with the restaurant, this is a pretty elegant and classy place. It's definitely more for the "mature" woman but it's not at all frumpy. There were some really cute clothes and accessories. There was a nice neutral-colored drawstring waist hoodie in particular I was interested in, but we decided to take a gander at their sister boutique as well as another store before committing. As other reviewers have noted, this place isn't a cheapie boutique, but the quality seemed good. After perusing other stores I ended up coming back to get that hoodie, but was wondering if they had it in black. The saleslady said they didn't in that particular style but they had a similar item in black that was $30 cheaper, woohoo! I have to give props to the sales lady for pointing that out for me--she was really friendly and helpful, and made my first visit to Tullemoss very pleasant. As far as the jewelry selection offered at this store, I would give the place 4 stars. The jewelry sold here is pretty unique and of good quality. But as far as customer service, my experience wasn't great. The same girl happened to be here both times (Danielle I think was her name) I visited. She was too pushy and was on my back the entire time. I understand that she had to watch me or at least have an awareness of what I'm trying on (because of possible shoplifters) as I tried on jewelry but it was to the point where I felt really uncomfortable and couldn't take my time. I didn't appreciate being asked repeatedly if I liked the pieces I tried on nor her overboard attempts to try to get me to buy them. Even more so because the jewelry isn't exactly cheap (ie: $70 for a necklace), I wanted to take my time to really decide if I wanted to purchase it....which I couldn't. Ok, these prices are a little higher than what I'm accustomed to be spending but I visited the store on the day of a trunk show and was sucked in by all the fun giggling and trying on of clothes (and of course wine and cheese!). What an amazing boutique!! Pinne, the owner, really knows her stuff. She knows how to dress different body types and how to accessorize without overdoing it. The pieces she picks for her store are well curated and she has a discerning eye. The stuff here is unique, but definitely wearable. Even if some of the materials are polyester or rayon, they can do amazing things with fabrics these days and the cuts/fits more than make up for what could be considered "cheap" fabrics like other reviewers have mentioned. The jewelry and accessories are great quality and really pretty. It's definitely a place to check out and spend money on some interesting highlight pieces for your wardrobe. read more

This was such a positive experience I just had to yelp about it....I went into Tullemoss specifically looking for a dress I had seen in the window about a month before (for some reason I did not think this was going to be an issue). It ended up not being there but the sales girl spent about 30 minutes bringing me things to try on for my company's big party in 2 weeks. Tullemoss has been around for a few years now, I had the opportunity to meet the owner a few years backs and I remember she was so nice(a few years meaning 2008), now, present day (2013) the staff the owner hired is reflective of her, all of them are super nice, and very helpful. This was my first time heading into this boutique, although I've passed by it quite a number of times in the past few years. I happened to be in the area -- eating at Panivarn -- so I decided to drop by and check it out. When I walked in, there were only five others in the shop -- the owner, Pinne, a sales clerk, two women selling their clothing to the boutique, and one other customer. So Pinne was picking out possible pieces to add to her boutique, but the other sales clerk was just standing there, listening in. No one greeted me as I entered, even though the sales clerk -- Maria? -- was not busy. Okay, fine, since my eye was already roving over some gorgeous scarves. The pieces were on the pricier side, but it all really depends on what you purchase. I immediately saw a gorgeous scarf perfect for autumn for the reasonable price of $35. Then I saw a gorgeous clutch, the likes of which I had been searching for months -- and it was only $34! Needless to say, I bought both pieces. As for the clothing, there were some cute pieces, although only one of them looked pretty darn good when I tried it on. However, it was about $50, and I'm sure I could find a similar one elsewhere for about half the price. At this point, no one had paid attention to me -- it was only when I went to the register did Maria (?) greet me and ask me if that was all. Whatever, because I love the pieces I got! Tullemoss is a fabulous boutique on Bellflower and Carson. The clothes are unique and reasonably priced for the quality of the designs and fabrics. This is NOT your typical fashion store. The first time I went in, I bought the cutest handpainted silk blouse for about $80. I'm sorry, but you can't find handpainted 100% silk for a cheaper price. The store owner is also incredibly helpful and not only will help you find what you're looking for, but then take the time to make suggestions on accessories, shoes, and bags that will really make the outfit pop! She's practically a personal stylist! Not only that, but when I went in the second time, she remembered who I was and what I had bought the first time. This store is the best find that I've made in the Long Beach/Lakewood area. Highly recommended. read more
