Found more than I needed, lol. Usually this ross is fantastic. My experience at the cash register was weird. The guy ringing me up (his name was similar to Bruno) was very dry with me and really paying attention to a person in a different cash register, and proceeded to speak very unkindly of that customer. I guess she always try to pull a fast one on them. Regardless, that should not happen in front of me, and could of been discussed later. Huge Ross Dress for Less, with fully stocked clothing and shoe racks for women, men, and children. It wasn't crowded at all on a Friday afternoon, giving us opportunity to carefully go over the clearance racks, piece by piece. I'm determined to only bring hand washable, quick drying polyester wrinkle-free shirts for our long trips/cruises. Most athletic companies make them, and they are usually available at Ross for a good price (around $10 or so). That was the case here, where I picked up 3 shirts. This location is honestly my favorite Ross. The service is always nice and the Security always greets you and is super welcoming. I also love the fact that there are always multiple security guards at this location so it definitely makes you feel safe. In terms of items they have it all. And if you don't know yet, Ross has the BEST prices. I literally found a Kate Spade purse here once for $50 it's incredible. Specifically this Ross is always stocked on items unlike other locations. This location is also always clean and organized. Which really adds to the experience. read more

I would have given 5 stars however our cashier Awesum was rude and did not perform any customer service. As she checked out her previous customer she called next, me and my husband were walking towards here as she then again yelled loud next. We came directly Infront of her and she gave the meanest look and didn't say hi or greet. My husband then proceeded to pay in cash $20 bills (3) and she had to check each individually in the machine and then check by hand as if we have counterfeit $$. If I was taught anything it was to never judge anyone. But it seems to happen every-time I come in with my husband (Hispanic) but never just me (white). The staff is friendly the time I went there a few days ago. I was welcomed by the security guy with glasses, he was cool striked up a conversation, a really nice guy. I came to look for some shoes and found a nice pair of Nikes. I also got a bunch of clothes and went to the fitting room. The girl in the white and brown hair was super nice to me and took me to one of the rooms. The room was dirty and one of the doorknobs were really sticky and just over all gross so I asked the girl to call her manager over and when the manager came over she immediately gave me attitude before I even said anything and when I tried to explain that it was dirty in there to let them know but she said "okay whatever", walked away and rolled her eyes at me. Hello l, I normally don't like to leave negative reviews. But I have a situation at the store and it's happened two times already. They keep the bathrooms, locked here and under tight security. I have an adult son with autism, and when he needs to use the restroom, we need to have a direct route there and access. It's not fair that they take away the customers shopping experience by locking the bathrooms and using an excuse for not opening them. This is a big store most big stores have a restroom. I personally will not be returning to the store because they don't accommodate us. We finally got access in after we waited, and then two customers ran in desperately to use the restroom not fair. Why did I come in here today? Oh yes I came in to shop for a kitchen mat and use up a gift cars I had but wound up with a shopping cart full of goodies! The selection. Is great, there is so much to choose from and I'm glad I came. My home looks amazing and well decorated now, I love the picture frames and all the other items I bought here. I got something from just about every section lol. One thing I didn't buy was a name brand purse( they have nice Coach and Michael Kors). They only let a handful of shoppers in at a time but that's fine, I'm glad they are doing their part to fight coronavirus. All around, this is a great store with lots of selection and good brands. Typical Ross store located in the Long Beach Towne Center. The store itself is in the very back, towards the Old Navy and Sam's Club. Parking lot is huge, so I have never had an issue finding parking when coming here. Now trying to get through the mess of a parking lot during a busy day is another story (shakes fist at the architect who designed the flow of this shopping center!). Staff here are usually fine - efficient but not overly helpful or friendly. It's a re-sale store so you will have to hunt for what you're looking for - all the same types of collared blouses will not be neatly organized in one area. But their prices are lower than say a Nordy's, so it's a trade off. During the holiday shopping season, the racks here can be super messy. Overall an ok place to get some decent name brands at a discount. read more

I would rather give them a 0 than a 1 star! Horrible customer service. They either need to manage there time better or come up with a better policy. Me and my mom came in, we did have about 15 pieces of clothing to try on. The fitting room was close 8:37pm! I ask the lady how long would it be or if the fitting room is going to be closed for the whole night. She couldn't give me a time frame or to let me know if it's going to be open again. Also the security in the front, I had ask her as well if she knows how long. I could of spent 100s of dollars here but they rather loose a customer. This location needs better buyers. Maybe all the good items were already taken, it being December and all, but there was hardly anything I would wear in here. There two two Calvin Klein dresses that were OK and I might have tried on if that was what I was looking for, but that's about it. No casual wear caught my eye. No shoes caught my eye (everything was very outlandish - all the pumps had at least five inch heels). Husband looked at some of the gadgets, and nothing that phenomenal either. Extremely poor customer service at this location a second time. We tried to shop here again. The Loss Prevention immediately profile upon entry. This afternoon there was a very short, Asian looking woman working the front of the store and a tall guy with slicked back hair. As we entered the business she sized us up then got on the radio to call for backup. As I was communicating for service she was pointing me out to the other guy. "Coincidentally," he just so happened to find himself in the store wherever we were. Zero discretion was practiced. I'll go out on a limb and assume we were profiled for having a stroller in which a baby was sitting. However, to my knowledge it is not against company policy to enter the premises with a stroller. I guarantee you I'm not on a blacklist considering I trade US currency for legal product. Perhaps this location experiences theft often, but that in no way, shape, or form would give employees a pass to stall customers. Mind this all began upon entry. We did not linger around for an hour. We not placing items in the strolling and try to cover them up. We did not give loss prevention any reason to believe we would commit a crime. This Ross has a lot of good stuff and I loved that, but the customer service is absolutely ridiculous I came here with my mom and sister and I am a teenager so this is coming a from a younger person perspective. First thing I got to say is the makeup section is messy and lack items two there was two workers there and girl and a boy right when I went there I felt them judging me I don't know why maybe cause I'm like in my teens in the makeup section don't know but they were just right there just in the middle stocking stuff or something like that but the girl was just on here phone my boy was just walking around I left to go look for other stuff I came back like 3 times they were still there doing earlier. Even though the shirt in my photo was from Ross ($2.99, great price on the clearance rack), I have to say this is a very badly run Ross. Usually I don't have a complaint about employees in general but there have been so many times that I couldn't understand what the employees at this location were saying. Communication is clearly not a service the manager wants to provide. And the security guards are just plain creepy. There was on that thought he was "Joey" charming... it was disgusting to see him hitting on barely teenage girls. The shoe area is a zoo. Those little size numbers on the rack must be there for show because I find the "help" just picks up anything they can and shove it on any rack. If they have problems with their customers having an attitude by the time they get to the register, they have no one to blame but the managers at Ross who don't insist employees make the goods available next to the sizing where they are supposed to be kept at. They have good deals on perfume but those of you that aren't boycotting Walmart, check there too for perfume prices. Also check any hand bag or purse you are going to buy, i've found a few loaded with wrappers and tags of shoplifted items. If you've ever tried to return stuff that didn't have a tag, because it was out on their shopping floor without a tag, and the register person made up a price but was too fucking lazy to make a tag -- and then you get the lecture on the return about not having a tag, please speak up and be just as RUDE as they are. It's not my job to know their internal controls on the mechandise. It's THEIR job to make sure nothing leaves without a tag. Their staff is paid bottom of the barrel and picked because they don't have the life skills to stand up for themselves. This is all by design of the managers there. Which is just stupid, they should be employing bright sales staff to promote and communicate to the customers to make this a great experience but they don't . I've had several experiences where a manager was needed to do an override on the register and the person was pissed off because the job was interfering with them being on their cell phone. How about FEWER creepy security guards and more employees that actually do some work. read more

I am my mother's daughter. I do not like paying full retail, especially for clothes. I like Ross. I like it better than TJ Max or Marshalls or whoever else sells off season clothes. It's hit or miss depending as far as selection, but I've found Calvin Klein and Jones New York items that were a bargain extraordinaire. The only downside is checking out. It can take FOREVER. They're usually understaffed at the registers so I stand in line, counting to ten, then twenty, then 100 before I let my blood pressure rise. I'll keep checking this place out because I'm all about the bottom line. And I'm cheap. read more

I went here today and there was a lady walking around with her mask down. I complained to the staff and they said there was nothing they could do. That they are not allowed to have them leave. First of all the CDC guidelines states that they are to engage and ask them to use a mask. It states it at the entrance. The fact that they would prefer to expose us all is ridiculous. I am a retired educator and frequently shop at Ross Stores in my local area as I have been for many years. Upon checking out his evening, I was insulted and harassed by a clerk at the Ross Store on 5530 Cherry Ave in Long Beach California, a predominantly Hispanic area. I had 5 items, about $40 in total. One item I was purchasing, an off-brand eye shadow compact marked $1.49 had apparently had been marked incorrectly. Brenda J, the young cashier, insinuated I created the price. When I remarked I had "more money than time," Brenda continued to insult me with, "that's why you shop at Ross, right? Then to top it off, Brenda asked if I were a citizen. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and having a Master's degree in English, I assure you it was not my rapport that initiated that question. After completing check-out, I went to the manager, along with the senior customer checking out ahead of me who overheard Brenda's comments and could not believe that asking for citizenship was routine. Jonathon, a male manager, added, "We are supposed to ask you guys that" Is that routine question to ask women seeking the 10% Tuesday discount? Another female manager, Ivette, tried to solve the situation by offering me a discount on a return trip, yet said nothing to this rude clerk. I am appalled with the insults received by this clerk and the lack of skills the manager had handling the situation. An apology would have sufficed, but because of the treatment and the manner it was handled, I will never return to a Ross Store again and am seeking a method to register my complaint. read more

I don't normally like to go to Ross, simply for the fact that my blood pressure sky rockets while I'm there and I always want to pull my hair out. This Ross is no exception. The store is always a disorganized mess. While walking through the aisles of women's shoes, I always wonder if there was ever a time that all the shoes were actually in their respective size sections? And don't even bother to look for clothes. You'll end up getting trapped in one of the aisles with a family on either end, both with carts piled high with clothes and junk. There's no way you're sneaking past unless you crawl under the racks. If by some miracle you do happen to find something you want to buy (I found a pair of Simple Shoes Green Toes flip flops for $9.99! Score!), take a deep breath, because it's hardly over yet. The lines are long. And SLOOOOW. Yesterday the line we were in was only 5 people deep and yet it took us 15-20 minutes to pay for our items and only because another register opened up. At least we had the entertainment of a women in our line yelling at one of the cashiers for discriminating against her because she was pulling people one by one out of the customer service line and wouldn't let her skip over from our line. read more

I came in to kill some time while the kids were at the movies, and found this seems to be one of the cleanest Ross locations I have been to, most of them have crap all over the floor in the childrens section, and are a complete disaster. I found tons of great bargains! :) I found a rug for my kitchen, actually I have purchased this exact rug at Target at least 2 other times for $14.99, at Ross it was a steal for $5.99! I also found an O'Neill jacket for my daughter... $16.99? How can you beat that! I bought a Quiksilver Tee for my little guy for $6.99. To make a long story short, I left with 3 full bags and spent about $125, what a great way to kill a couple of hours. I'll definately be back! read more
