May 22, 2024 Opens at 11 am My family and I came to eat locally. The business was closed, so I took the opportunity to go window shopping, so I thought of private sneakers. I'm a huge fan of New Balance shoes, low and behold they had multiple on display, even a new style new balance I have often wondered what lies behind these closed doors. When I say closed I mean locked ! As we went to open the door. Low and behold, Manny unlocks the door! I had to ask why they were locked. Unfortunately, folks can walk in and out without paying. So doors are kept locked. Personally, I enjoyed my 40-minute shopping experience alone with my family having Manny to ourselves to ask questions regarding New Balance shoes. I may have never bought one pair, let alone two pairs, without his personal assistance. I seen these very new new balance shoes, half open grey shoes on the shelf. Manny mentioned these were their newest in store. He brought me 3 different pairs until I had the perfect fit. I'm taking them @ $150.00 Manny did the same for my mother in law. She was a bit more challenging in shoe. You see, she is petite with the smallest foot I've ever known for an adult. Manny brought several different new balance shoes. He finally brought out a 4 1/2 new balance 9060 in dark blue shoe (kids) @ $110.00. Add those to my order as well. Why I like new balance shoes they come Wide, I have a big wide foot. The stability, balance, and shock absorption. Overall, quality shoes are out the door. Ok so I walked in this store just to poke around and see if I could find something for my husband for Father's Day, and John (I believe that's his name ) was the coolest and most helpful person EVER! While driving around, I saw a sign that said Private Sneakers. When I went home, I looked them up and saw that they had a pretty good shoe selection. My daughter is a sneakerhead, and while looking online, she immediately saw a pair she wanted. We ordered the shoes online for store pick-up. After purchase, it mentioned that it'll take about 3 hours for it to be ready. It actually took longer, and I didn't receive a notification that they were ready until the afternoon of the following day. It's not a big deal, but luckily we didn't need them asap. We did order them way before their closing time, though. When we went to go pick up the order, there was a guy in front of the store on the phone and smoking. I didn't think anything of it until he came in and noticed he was an employee. That already turned me off big time. Not professional at all. If you are an employee of the store, you shouldn't be smoking in front of customers. We weren't greeted, nor were we asked for help, which is unfortunate because my husband and my daughter actually saw a pair of shoes they wanted but just like me, we weren't feeling the lack of customer service. So we just went to the counter to pick up the shoes and left. I saw that they do have other locations, so we might try another. ATTENTION TO EVERYONE !!!!!!! I would rate my experience at this location a zero stars. On Monday, November 4, 2024 at around 11:00 a.m. I was looking at their on line shoe selection, I called to verify that a shoe was in stock and was advised by a woman that it was in stock. I called again at 5:10 p.m. before leaving my house to verify the shoe was still in stock as I live over an hour away from this store and was assured the shoe was still indeed in stock and that she remember verifying with me this morning when I showed up to purchase the shoe after waiting in store for about 30 min was told that the shoe was not in stock even though it's listed on line and was told not once but twice they had it. The customer service was very disappointing as I wasn't even offered any other possible options or discounts for their negligence. I won't be shopping here ever again and will take my money elsewhere where they actually value customers!!!!!! Recommendations: if you plan to shop here and call to verify for an item in stock make sure that person verifies the item is there physically and whoever is in charge of their on line inventory should have their website updated current to date. read more

We were in the area today at around 4:15, and I did a quick Google search for athletic shoes as I needed a pair of cross trainers. Saw this place and decided to try it out instead of a Foot Locker or something. The employee unlocked the door for me, my wife and two toddlers to enter, so we went in and he pointed me in the direction of Nikes I asked about. He also told me they do carry my size 13 depending on which style I wanted. So I started perusing and picking up some things I was interested in. But the employee who let us in and two other guys sat there and talked the entire time. No one ever approached me to ask if I needed help or if I wanted to try anything on. Always nice and friendly always asking if I need help. They also post Instagram raffles and are pretty fair at selecting the winners. You just have to follow the rules when they post them. I bought the Breds back in December and a pair of Jordan's 1 a few months back after winning a raffle for being a selected customer to be guaranteed a pair without waiting in line!!! I called this location on 4/7/2023 at 1:31pm to inquire on some Nike dunks. The guy that answered the phone was extremely rude! As I inquired on the shoes, he interrupted me and all he said was "wrong location." He did not bother pointing me in the right direction as to what sister store I should call. Private has some decent accounts so they are able to offer some of the good shoe releases. However, they fall short in other areas. SERVICE Service is below average. I called before my last visit and the employee checked that they had my size and put the shoes on hold for me. When I arrived, I was told that they didn't have my item. The employee said that when I called, he had checked the inventory on the computer but that the inventory listed on the computer wasn't up to date. The owner came out and became aware of what happened and that I had driven out there only because they had told me they had my size in stock. He made no effort to fix the issue. He simply said that the inventory listed on the computer didn't count the online sales and that they should've done a physical inventory check instead. No apology. Not even a simple sorry. He then said that their other store might have my size. I then asked if he could check the other store for me and instead, he grabbed a business card and told me to call. He couldn't even be bothered to check. POLICIES Private has some sketchy policies. For purchases of non release items, you can pay with credit card, cash, etc. it's normal. However, for release items, they only take cash and debit. They hold raffles for popular releases. However, to enter the raffles, you are required to be wearing their Private brand merchandise. read more
