Ventured from Southern New Hampshire to do a little Christmas shopping in the White Mountains…read more Needed a halfway point for a late lunch. Found this gem on Yelp. Old style Tavern/pub. The first thing we noticed when we walked in the door was that Christmas smacked us in the face with the best smelling Christmas Tree candle , burning in a super cute entryway. I could hardly wait to get inside to see what else this place had in store. First, there was a fireplace and a couch and a table. In the rest of the dining area, we're all high tops. Not so high that a barely over 5 foot person such as myself couldn't sit comfortably. Our waitstaff (there were two) and were great about offering menu suggestions when I shared flavor profiles I might be looking for and they were attentive and so pleasant. They had super cute Christmas decorations, and were putting up more while we were there. The vibe is super warm and welcoming, and for a short while you feel like you stepped back in time. The tiramisu martini was delicious, as was the blood orange martini. I had the cauliflower with juju sauce at the recommendation of the waitress, and it was honestly the best cauliflower I've ever had! My husband enjoyed his macaroni and cheese with buffalo and bleu as well. The owner/chef, Leslie, came and chatted with us for a little bit before we were on our way. We learned that in the summer they hold concerts, and they have a golf course. There is a distillery on site as well. Everything about this place was excellent, and we are already planning a day date to go back and try more menu items!

If you're looking to feed a large group of people in Saratoga, and you want to sit by the water,…read moreThe Lagoon is an eminently solid choice. The menu is massive, and so you should easily be able to find something for everybody...unless that person is looking for something super healthy. The Lagoon has burgers, and pizza, and lobster boats, and fish and chips, and four kinds of mac and cheese, and the appetizer list consists of all the things, fried: brussels sprouts, mozzarella wedges, wings, and more. We ordered all three of those fried things I mentioned to start, buffalo mac and cheese, a pizza, fish and chips, a cheesesteak, chicken fingers and a Greek salad. Our server was super bubbly and brought us all the sauces and drinks and everything else we asked for. It isn't going to blow you away with their culinary innovation, but The Lagoon hits a certain spot, and can seat your whole party with a view. I'd do it again.

I was here on a Tuesday afternoon and generally felt unwanted. The staff would congregate in a…read morecorner inside and someone would only venture out to the patio if there was food to deliver to a table, but you would have difficulty getting their attention even as they were walking back. Ordered was the poutine, a turkey club, and the hot buttered lobster roll. I came here for the poutine, a previous review had been very complimentary. I was underwhelmed, the gravy was thin, the cheese and tenderloin scarce. I will give the fries credit, crispy and seasoned, they were a solid base. Being so close to Canada, I'd expect better. The club was loaded up with dry turkey and not enough mayonnaise to help balance that out, but again the tots were crispy and seasoned so they were a gem, possibly the best thing here (and that's not a compliment because they're clearly a prepackaged product). The lobster in the lobster roll was chewy and dry, the roll was crispy but it was as though they had made garlic bread with a hot dog bun, then shoved some sad lobster bits in it. The coleslaw was drenched in dressing, but bland enough that I ate it for some texture and filling after being left wholly unsatisfied by my roll. All in all, I get the impression this restaurant relies solely on the lake, and their proximity to giving you a view while you eat, almost entirely to distract from a subpar performance in every other aspect of restauranting.

I'm a super picky eater.SUPER. PICKY! It's annoying af for me but worse for anyone with me, I think lol. We couldn't find a place to eat bc we had gotten in kinda late. I looked on Yelp! And found this place. Not a big Mexican food fan, but I would find something. This place is great. I, being like a 5 year old kid, ordered a plain chicken burrito. They thought I was kidding. I get that a lot when I order at restaurants lol. They were THEEE nicest guys that worked here. Was kind of refreshing tbh bc you go into most places these days and well....they are people who truly hate working with the public lol. Prices weren't bad at all. It was legit worth every penny and then some. Even if I ordered some plain sh*t, the chicken was SO good and spicy. I know this place already does amazing even without reviews. BUT! If you are in the area and need a restaurant that doesn't close at like 6! Bc Manchester legit shuts down SO. EARLY! Avocado Pit, I believe is open until 9. Smart move on their part. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. Wish we had them here in Idaho. Thanks for reading, YelpAvocado'ers! Cheers!

Overpriced. They never seem to know what you are asking to order…read more I ordered 1 street taco with everything that comes with it and one pit taco. Was charged extra for pork. So what do you get? Just taco and some onions by itself for 4$? They charge extra for beans corn etc. I didn't get anything extra and this is my receipt. Waste of money. Tacos are delicious enough but had better even from the truck.
