Apple cider and brandy with a cinnamon stick

Talk about an experience! A snowcat-drawn sleigh ride to a remote trail side location, paired with five indulgent courses featuring signature prime cuts, local ingredients and incredible accents. We arrived at one of the cafes on the Killington resort had a hot apple cider and hopped into snowcat drawn sleigh ride to the yurt. It took about 15 mins to get there and it was pretty cold but we were provided with blankets for the ride. Once we arrived there we checked out the surroundings, its pretty surreal standing there in nothing but wooded areas and you turn around and there is this magnificent tipi. Once inside I noticed a bar and about 6 dinner tables. We sat down and enjoyed the rest of our evening. All the food we ate I photographed because it was unbelievable, everything was presented so beautifully and had the most interesting combinations of flavor. The only thing that I was served that night that I had trouble eating was the venison but that's because I don't like venison. My only quam with the Yurt was the amount of time in between meals. The night dragged on a little bit because of that but over all what an amazing experience I will NEVER forget! Side note- They have the coolest, cleanest, warmest outhouse I have ever used and it smells like fresh cut wood......only two alcoholic beverages are provided with the set price of the yurt and after that you will be receiving a bill for everything else after your two drinks.

Really a cool place on Killington mountain tucked into the woods. You can ski from snowshed or hike up from the condo trails. Great food and drink. You can also have a drink outside. Love the maple shake. For food, lobster, Mac and cheese. Great staff.

Appetizers: Cornbread, brisket nachos, Caesar salad, gochujang rub chicken tenders and Mac and cheese. Everything was solid and the portions were pretty large, so we were decently full by the time our entrees came. Entrees: pork belly tacos, brisket tacos, salmon tacos and the prime rib wrap. I loved the prime rib wrap - it was well stuffed with meat and the outside was crispy from the grill. Dessert: the brookie (brownie + cookie) skillet was delicious! We left with lots of leftovers despite being extremely full! Service was friendly and quick also.

They have a great selection of beers from all around Vermont and I contemplated getting a flight before settling on a selection. We got the southwestern egg rolls as an appetizer and they were so delicious and cheesy! They were too appealing to be photographed before consumption. I got the salmon tacos and they were delicious. The salmon was flavorful and perfectly cooked with a crispy texture. I was pretty impressed at how big the portion of salmon for each taco was. We'd definitely stop by here again in the future for dinner. By the time we left, the dinner rush was in full effect with people waiting for a seat and I can see why!

Out server was super friendly getting our orders and letting us know when our food was going to come out. This was going to be our burger night of the trip and Charity's Classic Smash with fries was a great choice. Regular fries were decent, but I think the sweet potato fries (waffle cut!) were better. Charity's has a big drink menu. It was tough to decide among all the local ciders, but I went for the Mountain Water canned cocktail from the distillery up the road in Killington. It was so good! Disappointed I can't find it anywhere to buy around my area. They take reservations, so I recommend that if you want to get a table just in case you arrive on a crowded night like we did! It's a warm and casual atmosphere inside. I imagine it's quite cozy during the busy ski season.

We only stopped in here for an afternoon drink because our room wasn't ready. It was a Thursday, and once we looked and saw a $25(!!!) lobster special, we told the bartender we'd be back for dinner. We returned a few hours later and sidled up to the bar. The same bartender we had chatted with before quickly served us drinks and we ordered clam chowda --- we're tourists, we had to! It was phenomenal, and I enjoyed every bite. Once we saw that the lobster special is an actual, full, lobster --- not just the tail, but the entire thing --- we decided to split it. I'm glad we did because there was so much meat on that! It was a challenge to break through, but I'm glad we did it. And for $25, it was worth every crack. We enjoyed a couple more drinks and decided we could share one more item. We ordered the smash burger and subbed creamed corn for the side. It was an excellent way to close out a fantastic evening. Shortly after, we closed out and walked back to the hotel. If you find yourself in Killington and want a chill place, kind and patient service, and great food, I highly recommend stopping here. If we are ever back in the area, we'll definitely come by.
