A friend of mine recommended it, and Im so glad I finally went in. we've been going to a vietnamese restaurant down the street and Rose blew them away. We ordered a lot of food... lol we had to sample our favorites to compare. We ordered lemon grass chicken (amazing), brisket Pho (perfect), spring rolls with BBQ pork (mmmm mmm yum and so fresh) and a bahn mi sandwich (also perfect). I implore everyone to skip to the end if they do not want to read the story. I am from out of town. California to be exact and my group and I just had an amazing experience in Seattle and especially The Gorge Amphitheater. Following the next morning after the show concludes we all each had different flight times but I had a later flight so it was my job to take care of dropping off the car rental. I had the car for a few extra hours and was looking for some Vietnamese food since I was feeling a little homesick. I stumbled across Rose on Yelp. I saw how popular it was with such a good consistent rating that I had to check it out. Lots of parking but I feel as though I had just come on a day where there was a car meet up. Super unexpected but also very neat. I enter and I am seated down right away. Looking at the menu I usually go for my go to order of a Beef Pho with Brisket and Flank. Phở Chín Nạm. I also got a side of eggrolls as well. The lady takes my order and everything went smoothly. As I wait for my food I notice the decor has a certain religious charm to it. Very uplifting quotes about life and positivity. I briefly remember reading one Yelp review before I made my trek over and heard about the owner Rose doing a blessing/prayer for the guests. I honestly wasn't sure if this was going to happen but as I waited she came out. She was a sweet older lady that honestly reminded me of my mom. I was born from a Catholic family so religious items and memorabilia was normal to me. Rose came out and upon discovering that I was Vietnamese she felt more comfortable and we were speaking to each other in our native tongue. Rose asked me kindly if she could say a prayer to thank her faith for our meal. She asked if I wanted it done in English or Vietnamese. I chose Vietnamese as to have a small memory of my childhood when we used do prayers every night with my parents. Rose said her prayer and she became a little emotional. She was telling me that it was refreshing to see another Vietnamese person and that we should always remember the good we have in our lives and not to forget to be kind human beings. She was a kind lady and especially a wonderful presence in her restaurant. Food review time: As I was eating the pho I tasted the broth first and was thrilled to sense that distinct taste of a home cooked broth. Lots of times when you go to Pho restaurants you always get a generally salty or overly sweet broth. Which is fine sometimes but I feel as though most restaurants cheat by showering the beefy flavor, which usually should be the main star with additions of rock sugar and saltiness/flavor enhancer. Rose's pho broth was mellow with a small hint of sweetness but you are hit in the face with that slow cooked beefy flavor. Care, love, and time were used in making this broth. I thoroughly enjoyed it. When I moved onto the noodles and the meat apart of me had wished Rose's restaurant used fresh pho noodles. These are usually harder to find around most Pho restaurants in the United States but always a treat when you do have them. These noodles though had a nice bite and chew to them. They didn't feel overboiled or underboiled in any way. Eating them was pleasant. The accompaniments with the meat added to the experience. The brisket was tender and cut thinly to enjoy its texture without experiencing a tough bite especially when generally stewed briskets can be tough if you're not careful with the preparation. The flank was nice and chewy. Rich beefy flavor with the satisfying bite to go along with it. I finished off the meal with the eggrolls and under the eggrolls was a large leaf of lettuce and a few accompanying julienne carrots. My favorite thing about eating eggrolls at most Vietnamese restaurants is that a lot of times people think the lettuce leave or vegetables are just for decor but what I prefer to do is to use the lettuce leaf as a wrap for the eggrolls and top each bite with other vegetables and herbs. I loved the size of the eggrolls and they didn't feel overcooked at all. They stayed crispy and the filling inside was juicy and melted in your mouth. Rose's restaurant brings classic Vietnamese dishes to your plate with a home styled approach. The things I ate today felt as if my mom prepared them for me. Not specifically in terms of taste but importantly in terms of that feeling of nostalgia you get when you smell, taste, and see something familiar. Rose Pho gets a 5/5. Not only was the food great but knowing how important Rose's faith is to her makes you feel the warmth of her food heart. I hope people don't skip out on Rose Pho because you're not going to be able to get a similar experience in any other restaurant. read more

Be careful if you go in large group, owners did not write down orders and over charge us for the group, we order average of $12 each and end up paying about $18 per person. Also, when we questions owners about the bill, she claim that we order tea and she charge for tea, what Pho place charge for hot tea? Owners seem very religious, which is fine, but, we were taken back when she started to pray before our order. read more

We found this place because we were looking for a good place to eat down in the Tukwila/SeaTac area. We were pleasantly surprised. We were so hungry that I wasn't able to take pictures. This is a favorite of our family members who live in Des Moines. They treated us to a meal from Rose Pho while we were visiting from SoCal. Everything we ate was delicious! I had the best rare beef Pho ever and my husband raved about the dumplings and fried rice. I had the crunchy egg noodle with pork and my partner had the oxtail pho. The pho was really spicy. He liked it but make sure you should ask for it to be less spicy if you're not accustomed to it. My crunchy noodles were really good. We cleaned the plate despite getting a very large portion. Just FYI Rose did pray over us for what seemed like a comically long amount of time when we ordered. It was fine. I'm an atheist and my partner is Christian but we were both a little taken aback by it. I came here because they're the only ones who told me that they make vegetarian pho with vegetarian broth lol Usually if I wanted legit vegetarian pho, I'd have to drive to Seattle and I'm too lazy to do that... Anyways the place was nicely packed. The owner at first was weird because she was really nice and all but hugged everyone and talked to everyone. I'm ok with the talking but I don't like being touched by strangers lol but no matter, she was sweet. I've had both pho and Thai food. Thai food I wasn't big fan of, I liked Bai Tong better because I don't know, it tasted better there. Just my personal preference. Pho was pretty good but when my hubby and I went there when they were busy, my hubby ordered extra beef in his pho and when they served us after an hour later, they gave him 3 little beef pieces.... we had to reiterate our order to them saying that we ordered extra. This was some of the best pho broth I've had in a long time. It was very clear & rich with flavor. I do think the portion was small, and meat was a bit skimpy so if you are hungry make sure you order the large bowl. The interior was very clean and still had all their festive Tet decorations up, which I loved and made me feel at home. Rose, the owner was very sweet. She came to our table several times and gave us a lengthy prayer session, which was a first. She prayed for our health, for my daughter, that she would grow up to be a "Doctor, Lawyer, or Engineer" and "never forget to take care of her parents!" LOL. 5 stars because: friendly atmosphere, large menu, clean restaurant. Many pho places are "okay" for cleanliness, which scares me. This place wins the cake for my most trusted local pho place. I always have a fear of ecoli or something along those lines at some places- but not here! The owner here is sweet and will offer a prayer for you if you want it- which I do! The menu has a lot of options and a truly beautiful presentation. I have enjoyed some rice dishes and lots of veggies. I saw the fish served in a pineapple and might have to get that someday too. The owner is super sweet. Well decorated interior with clean and large portion pho. The soup was clean tasting not too salty but has deep broth taste. This place is so tasty! We just moved to the area and picked up take away on a whim one evening. We ordered some rolls and some soups and nothing was disappointing! Not to mention when I walked in they were friendly and helpful. Our food was ready to go within minutes and really reasonable prices. You can tell they use really fresh ingredients and take their time with perfecting quality. Also one of the ladies when I picked up my food thanked us up and down for eating food, giving them business, wishing us good healthy and happiness- it was really very sweet! First I want to say the owner is an absolute gem. She saw my family as first time customers, thanked us for coming, and offered a Christian prayer. I'm atheist in a family of Buddhist (the white guy in a Vietnamese family), and was not offended, as she was genuinely being grateful for us being there. It was a "different" experience for my family as they thought it was a little odd for the owner to do in front of strangers. Now for the food.... My son had the curry which was very good in taste and portion size, a plus for me, as he is 19 and could swallow a fridge. I had the lemon grass chicken which was also very good in taste and portion, veggies not mushy (frozen), not drowning in sauce, just plain old good! My wife and daughter had pho. And pho is truly a matter of taste. I've been at gatherings with my in laws where they'll order pho with some loving it, others not, and the remainder complaining about the ones who didn't show. Daughter had pho thi bo vein, liked the broth, noodles were a little stiff. Wife had bun bo hue, broth was too greasy for her, and the noodles were a bit hard as well. In all, not a bad place, and definitely a unique owner. I'll go back for the fresh veggies and light sauce. The pho is too much a matter of individual taste to judge. read more

Rose Pho was amazing. This place had the authenticity of Vietnamese food without sacrificing the visuals. The plating of every dish looked stunning. Like I always say, food should have 2 main elements. It has to taste good and it has to look good. I was here on a business trip with a craving for Pho. I drove from Portland to Seatac. It was a long and hungry 4 hour car ride. All I wanted was some nice warm Pho. They delivered. I'm from LA and this place beats any Pho place around me.
