We were greeted by the kindest gentleman at the door, who helped us to our seats and made us feel welcome right away. Then we met Lisa--a Jersey girl with Arizona in her heart! What a sweetheart. We laughed so much with her, and she made us feel like we'd known her for years. Honestly, we couldn't have imagined a better evening with her looking after us. Ask for her section if you go, and don't be shy about asking her for recommendations! The food was fresh and so delicious, and the portions were big! We shared the calamari, a side salad and lasagna, then finished with Italian cookies, tiramisu and a latte. Definitely consider sharing, and save room for dessert! We loved the food, the atmosphere and how welcome everyone made us feel. We've already been telling people to visit and ask for Lisa! Lisa, thank you for all the laughs and for making our night so special. The Sicilian Butcher is lucky to have you. We've fallen in love with Arizona, and this evening was one of the reasons why. Until we meet again!

The service was good, however, I ordered the Ceasar Salad and Margherita Pizza for lunch. Bakery side is lovely, Cannoli's are my favorite and they were scrumptious. Overall, it is a beautiful atmosphere, service was good, food could better for the price. I do plan on returning to the restaurant and bakery to try other menu items.

We enjoyed the $7 wine, the $5 tortellini, and the rigatoni with salmon. We also ordered the Italian chopped salad to go, and it was absolutely the best Italian chopped salad we have ever had! We loved everything so much that we knew we had to come back. Today we returned, and once again, everything was outstanding. We had the branzino special, the Involtini of Eggplant for an appetizer, and the lasagna. The lasagna was actually something we had to try because we kept hearing how the regular patrons always order it. After our first visit, we knew we had to see what all the talk was about -- and even though we were getting it to go, we had to order it! I'm honestly not even a fan of lasagna, but now I can completely understand why everyone loves it. This will be the only place I order lasagna from now on! And the bread with the pesto butter... it gets us every time! So delicious! And of course, Sal deserves another mention. Sitting at the bar with him on our first visit was such a fun experience, and he was a big reason we wanted to come back. He made us feel so welcome and made our first visit memorable. The food, the specials, the atmosphere, and the people are all fantastic. We've already been back twice, and I have a feeling The Italian Daughter is quickly becoming one of our regular spots. Everything has been outstanding, and we can't wait to come back again!

After looking over the menu, we started off with Francesco's frittura to share. This dish tasted fine, nothing outstanding. For our main entrees we ordered the brown butter seared scallops with sweet corn risotto and the shrimp fradiavolo. Both of these entrees were outstanding in their own respect. The risotto was subtly sweet and not heavy or rich. Additionally, the scallops were nicely seasoned and not overcooked. The shrimp fradiavolo was mildly spicy and the spaghetti was perfectly al dente. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered the tiramisu to share. It was nice and fluffy, and not too sweet, which we prefer. Overall, service was friendly, patient, and attentive. The ambiance was comfortable and intimate with lots of indoor seating and some outdoor patio seating. I highly recommend making reservations in advance if you plan on coming here. After our great experience, we will definitely be back to try out some of their other dishes!

Their happy hour concludes at six pm, but in true fashion our flight got delayed. Their hh menu is valid outside and in the bar seating area. We nonetheless pushed our resy back and arrived around 6:40pm. This restaurant has a very cute vibe and I loved the mural near the bar in traditional concrete. The decor and accent walls were all fun, and I really liked the main area. The staff was super attentive and the bartender serving us on Friday, August 28th was the best. Welcoming, informative, and kept it real with us. My partner and I landed on the pappardelle short rib pasta and toto sapore pizza. The pizza was one of my fave pizzas I've had in quite some time. The mixture of meats including sausage, soppressata, and salame parme was perfect with the right amount of spice. The pasta was al dente which was greatly appreciated and it was a lovely meal all around. This spot is worth checking out if you're in the area and wanting a great dinner in a calmer vibe (with some bomb music).

Had a reservation on a busy Friday night downtown (baseball game and a concert going on). We were contacted and asked if they could push our reservation back, when I said we couldn't they said no problem and that they'd accommodate us. And they did. No wait when we arrived slightly prior to our reservation time. Service was fine. Our waiter did mess up getting our order in-- but he fixed it and we didn't wait too long considering. He kind of disappeared at the end but another server kindly checked us out so we could go. Patio was really nice-- less noisy than inside and with the misters just fine even though it was hovering around 100 degrees. My husband said his NY strip was the best he's had in a while. And I enjoyed the Gnocchi (but would probably try the pizza next time). Was a little sad when I was asked if I'd like some Parmesan on my handmade with 00 flour pasta and was handed a shaker... I always go for the Roasted Salmon as it's a perfect balance of colors and taste. There were mixed in cauliflower and a bit of broccolini. I would definitely love to have more broccolini though. I ordered this as part of the summer menu which it comes with a choice of their daily soup (which was a creamy chicken soup on a Saturday), Sicilian meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Simple Salad or Charcuterie plate. I went with the charcuterie plate which had a array of foccicia bread, pitted green olives in an olive mix of rosemary or thyme theme taste, sweetened figs over a soft cheese spread, pecorino cheese I think, candied nuts, a jalapeño forward pickled veggies such as carrots, cauliflower, prosciutto, speck (another type of prosciutto). Other dishes were kids Alfredo pasta, Margherita pizza and the ricotta cavatelli which has lump crab meat and shrimp, mint and lemon olive. Our server was absolutely 100 percent as well as the rest of the staff. This place used to do valet but when we came for lunch there was no valet which I appreciated as the lot is just a regular private parking. This still has the same set up as it was 10 years ago or so with the barnyard type of structure and an open kitchen. Oh how I missed coming to this specific location. I'm ready to eat here again!

The calamari was for sure very different, and honestly it really wasn't that great. I get that they're trying to be different, but I like the calamari originally how it's made, which they made it with a different batter. I will say that the garlic bread was really good and honestly was the only thing I found really good. For my entrée, I ordered the lasagna. It should've been called the soup lasagna. It was so watery!!! And my father ordered the Bolognese. which needed way more time to cook. The noodles were hard! The entrées we're pretty bad, We didn't even take the leftovers home. First off, this place is in a beautiful area. I was with 2 of my buddies but this place was the percect date night vibe. The scenary was very soft and "southern". It had that "aesthetic" vibe, great for pictures etc. The restaurant is one of a kind and beautiful inside. The booths are very comfortable. My server was extremely polite and attentive, along with knowledgeable. She didn't have the answer to one question I had, so like any good server, she found out immediately. The bus boy/ runner was also extremely attentive. Actively clearing plates and assisting my friends and I. I started off with the ceaser, which was delicious. We shared the meatballs, amazing. Along with the calamari and grilled octopus. Everything was fresh and was served to us quickly. We ordered a pizza to split, the margarita to be exact, and let me tell you it was life changing especially when you are a little buzzed. That may have enhanced my experience a little more. For my entree I chose the vodka pasta, it was one of the best meals I've had in my entire life. The only downside to this place is how pricy it can be, but like all nice places you have to be prepared to spend a lot. Despite that, I recommend this place to everyone. Come in a group if you can, its a fun time. Miss this place and love it!

There is a free parking garage on the west side of the restaurant. There's even a sign that states which restaurants allow you to park there. The restaurant is loud and the seats are a little uncomfortable. But if you're a foodie like me, you'll be willing to ignore those things.
