Cash only, you walk up and order and wait. Each sub comes with choice of chips or drink, and it's something of the honor system with grabbing your chips/drink and checking out (which will make more sense when you see things for yourself). Don't expect to deal with exact change in coins or anything. Kind of treat it like lemonade stand rules - good people just round up to nice even increments and say thank you.

The staff is always so friendly and helpful at the Pewaukee Rosati's. I drive to the Pewaukee location from Brookfield even though there is a location near me. I have never had a better Chicago deep dish anywhere! I also really love the White Pizza. There is no red sauce. It has olive oil, garlic, tomatoes, ricotta & mozzarella cheese and is topped with Romano cheese & oregano. I think I will order that right now with a Spinach Gorgonzola salad ! read more

Continued expansion may be inevitable, so I figured I'd give their food a try see where it stacks up against other chain pizza stores. For Pi Day (March 14th) they had a special of a 6" mini pizza for free with the purchase of a 20oz soda. I got extra cheese and linguisa (a type of sausage) on the pizza. I also ordered six garlic not-knots for an appetizer. The garlic not-knots were very good. I didn't read the item description before ordering since I assumed they were just garlicky dough, so I was pleasantly surprised that they had cheese on/in them and a little crunch from the baked cheese. The pizza was ok. The linguista didn't stand out like I hoped it would and the amount of cheese on the pizza is what I would have expected it normally have, so I don't know if they added extra or not. That said, I'd rather have their pizza than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Toppers, or Little Caesars. Papa John's is still my preferred chain pizza store though. Two things that may hurt this Mountain Mike's chances of succeeding: price and location. Their pizzas are pretty expensive (for example, a 14" cheese pizza is $25). I definitely recommend signing up for their rewards to get discounts rather than paying full price. As for location, this particular strip mall is always packed, making parking very difficult. Being in a busy area not far from Southridge Mall is fine if you want a lot of potential customers, but that location might be a turn off once people try to visit.

Real, fresh mozzarella; real, fresh basil; and, maybe most important, actual slices of red, fresh tomatoes (not just cheating with a mere tomato sauce, as some places do). This time, I started with a real bargain of a tossed green salad. It had so many ingredients (by my rough count, around a dozen) that I couldn't even identify some. A heaping, colorful, healthful and appealing salad that puts to shame the side salads that most other restaurants merely "phone in". (The balsamic vinaigrette is strong, so I'm glad that I stuck to my rule of ordering it on the side, so that I could control the amount used.) Pizza: Pepperoni and mushroom, with FRESH mushrooms, correctly sliced (large, flat slices taken top to bottom) to maximize their flavor. A satisfyingly thin and crispy cracker crust. Nice sauce. I have spoken with both the owner and Hannah multiple times about pizzas and salads with missing ingredients, yet nothing changes. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating to have to drive back to the restaurant to address issues that should have been caught before the food was served. The owner appears unwilling to hire an experienced manager to oversee quality control, and the result is a product that is consistently falling short of low expectations. What makes this especially sad is that the previous owner and his wife spent decades building this business by taking pride in the food they served and ensuring customers received a quality product. Unfortunately, that commitment to quality no longer seems to exist.
