I did a pickup order, and it was difficult to find parking. When I got in, the host didn't move from his spot and asked a waiter to grab my pickup order, which seemed confusing since the host was just sitting and the waiter was running around helping everyone. The only think I can say is they win!! The award for the most awful pizza I have ever encountered! I ordered a full works pizza and all I got was worked over. We have both ordered in and gotten take out from BB's and everytime it's been great! If you go in try on of their pasta dishes, but my favorite is still the barbecue chicken pizza! Sometimes on the weekend it may take a while for an order so I recommend calling a few hours in advance. read more

I went there and had the Shrimp scampi and my husband had lasanga. We also had a order of fried ravioli and each had 1 cocktail. Our bill came to 80.00. Which I consider very over priced when you take into account that you get no bread or soup or salad with entree. My scampi would have been good except the shrimp were way over cooked. Pizza is by far the best! Ordered a thin crust Hawaiian aka blackened lau. It was so tasty! Loved the smokey ham. Also ordered a old fashioned and it was great! Establishment has limited seating. Lots of people are in and out picking up food orders. One thing I noticed is the slower service since the server is the only one going around taking orders and chatting with customers. After reading the reviews I was so excited to see a restaurant finally opened at the old Irie Zulu location in our neighborhood. But I was totally disappointed by the service. For me, I hate to take off any stars because of service (come on if the food is good who cares so much about the service) At 11:00am I ordered and they said food would be ready in 22-25 mins - At 11:25am I arrived and found nothing's ready - At 11:38am they told me hummus is not available for my flat bread and that's 13 mins already for me to stand here in the restaurant - At 11:54 am finally got my food after standing alone and hearing the owner chat about various stuff loudly with people at the bar for almost 30 mins. Food was good. I agreed they have the best arancini in town. Very flavorful and creamy inside and crispy outside. Cuban tasted salty to me but hubby thought it was good. Pizza was really good taste wise with lots of toppings. Pineapple pizza fans you don't want to miss it. Be prepared for mistakes during their opening month and a very loud nonstop voice at the bar, you should be fine. read more

Yet another great new place on the West Side! BB's is in the old Irie Zulu space - they've added a new bar and the most comfortable bar stools I've sat in lately! So the menu here is really interesting - pizza is a focus, but don't miss the entrees or small plates. They're taking classic dishes and adding subtle but tasty touches. Case in point - arancini ($13) which were some of the best I've had anywhere. They're homemade and you can tell - the rice is perfectly tender and there's a bit if chorizo inside to add a nice kick. Definitely get this! We had a large pizza - you can choose "Milwaukee thin" or "NY style" - we picked Milwaukee thin which was an excellent cracker crust with sweet tomato sauce and ample toppings. Two thumbs up! The owner said everything is made in house except the French fries, so expect fresh flavors and new dishes every week. Full bar, drinkable wine, fair prices and a nice staff. This is a great fit for the area and someplace we'll be back to - soon! EDIT: definitely don't sleep on the non-pizza items. Have been wanting to try this place for awhile. Since our usually pizza place directly across the street was closed for the holiday we decided to try this place. There was literally nobody inside but us so we were expecting an exceptional experience but I think our expectations were too high. We came in and wanted to get seated for 3. The hostess wasn't very welcoming and seemed to have an attitude whenever somebody came through the door. The spaghetti and meatballs came out cold so someone in my party suggested that they probably came out the refrigerator and the hostess told us why would they come out of the refrigerator. Great little place. Bartender seemed to be a one woman show except for whoever was cooking. Food was a little slow to come out and prices are a bit higher than shown online. Small pizza said $14 and was $20. Ordered a bottle of wine and it was $32 only to read and see it was made by Sutter Home and is a $13 bottle. We have gotten pizza and salad from BB's on a few occasions now. We are thrilled with the taste and quality of the food here. We've tried the bacon ranch pizza, chicken pesto, and of course plain cheese. Also had the asparagus salad and Caesar salad as well. The pizza crust is really delicious- crispy and chewy. I'm from New England so I'm not a big fan of the thin crispy cracker type crust, and this is not that! The asparagus salad was absolutely delicious. Grilled croutons and asparagus added such a delicious flavor and the creamy dressing (similar to a Caesar dressing) was perfect on the salad. Also, the staff makes sure to check our food before we take it home (opens the pizza and shows us) which is such a nice touch to make sure we are getting something that is accurate and delicious! This review is based on a pizza carryout order only. I needed to procure dinner for my mom and myself during a hectic moving week and after an intense work day. I remembered seeing BB's and gave them a call. With no menu or prior experience here, I ordered a Milwaukee-style large pizza with half mushroom and half sausage. They offered a choice of canned or fresh mushrooms, which for me was not even a choice. The fresh mushrooms were excellent. The pizza was ready and hot when I came to get it. The staff even double checked with me to ensure they'd gotten the order correct. (They had.) We both enjoyed our pizza. The price was quite reasonable. We did find that there was maybe an excess of sauce, but it was good sauce. Thankfully it was not sweet and was well balanced. Parking, like most of North, is dismal, but I'll be back to order dinner. read more

Excellent thin crust pizza and good service. We got two small pizzas a supreme and a garden pizza with an order of garlic bread. I pulled up to the storefront on North Avenue and a man came to the car and said he'd bring the order out to me. He assumed I had already ordered online or by phone. Some reviewers had bad reviews of the service, but I found it to be stellar. After actually ordering inside, I waited in the car and was updated twice about the status of my order. The pizzas took only 15 minutes before coming out to my car piping hot. The crust was thin and crisp, the ingredients fresh and the sauce delicious. I liked that the pizzas were boxed which kept them secure until home. Will definitely be back. Hopefully next time dining inside to take advantage of their seemingly well stock bar. read more

I had a negative experience when I went here for the first time, but after contacting management, I was glad they took the time to address my concerns and I have given them another try. My second visit was much better than the first but they do still have some kinks to work out. However, I know there are extenuating circumstances with them trying to open an establishment during a pandemic. Their pizza is good and they have unique offerings. I do think they are a little pricey compared to other places nearby. I might give them another shot after things return "to normal," but overall, I was hoping for more. read more

The New York Style pizza is pretty good, not the best I've had but a little above average. The wait for the two items I've ordered out have been really long. I'd skip ordering the garlic bread, view picture for example, for over $4 it's half a loaf and was cold And hard. The first time we ordered their they cut the cheese New York style pizza into about 40 pieces. The second time we ordered two pizzas, 1 (14inch) and the 2nd (16inch) and what we got were two 14inch. Seems like we are still figuring everything out, maybe in a few more months they will have it a bit more organized. read more

I decided to grab pizza from a new place for my Friday pizza night, and settled on BB's due to the proximity and great reviews. I liked being able to order and pay in advance, like a couple days in advance. I wish they described somewhere what the difference between hand tossed and milwaukee crust was (hint it's hand tossed and thin). We ordered the arancini, the chicken pesto pizza, and the Luau pizza. The total was around $50 for all of it, and it fed three people perfectly with a couple slices leftover. We got the pesto on the thin crust and the Hawaiian on the hand tossed. Both crusts were good, but we preferred the hand tossed - nice and chewy and airy. The ham on the Luau was crispy and it was diced up into small cubes so you got some on every bite (my main problem with canadian bacon on pizzas is the huge slabs coming off in one bite) - so I liked that. Plus the pineapple pieces were huge and juicy. Yeah, the pizza was good, but I do have to echo the other reviewers here, the balls were the star. THEY WERE SOO GOOD! The outside was perfectly crunchy, the rice was smooth and the chorizo was awesome. Plus the aioli it came with was awesome. And five balls was a great portion size considering how big they were! Lastly, for ordering a couple days in advance I was especially pleased to show up and have my food ready and waiting! Only thing I was turned off by was that the bartended was not wearing a mask. Went there for the first time and was greeted by an employee saying that we should go somewhere else because they were busy (just cleaned two tables in front of us and it's a small place). So we did across the street but then we saw it was not busy anymore after we ate. Only 30 min later. We decided to go back to try a $5 old fashion that states on their website that goes on every Friday as a special (which was part of the reason we wanted to go in the first place).We walk in again and go to the bar asked about the special...the lady working interrupted the bartender before he could say anything and said we don't do that. Without giving us any eye contact. I proceeded to say "It says on your website as a Friday special till 9:30pm (8pm at the time)". The lady still not looking at us at all says "well it shouldn't be". You had me at hello.. Then I sat down in the most comfortable bar stool known to man. Then you served me a very nice Makers Bourbon Old Fashioned and I settled in for the long haul. Then you tempted us with surprisingly elegant non-pizza options. I had the Arancini and was hooked. This being my first visit, I wasn't going to not have pizza. I went with the "Milwaukee" thin crust and it was good. Real good. Probably the standout component of the pie. I enjoyed the sweet sauce, but the crust was the star. It really held up under the toppings and never got saturated in grease. Something I can't say for the other purveyors of thin crust pizza in Tosa that also starts with a "B". I can do without the canned mushrooms but give these guys a break, everything else here is from scratch. We talked with some customers that have been here three times already in the first week. Sounds like the neighborhood is also hooked. We finished our large "Classic" pizza and I was please. I love the build out of the space. It was nice as Irie Zulu, but these guys took it to the next level. Give this crew a few weeks to get their rhythm going and I'm sure they'll be in lockstep. You can tell they are committed and passionate about their business. It looks like they are tapping into just what the neighborhood is looking for. HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I called ahead to ask about the different pizza crusts they offered and told the person. we were ordering online (because I thought it would be easier for them). My husband got there at the time we were given and was then told that they're having issues with their online system...something she could've told me when I initially called, so we then had to wait 30 more minutes. When he finally got home he saw that the pizza was STILL made on the wrong crust after we specifically put notes in the order, and when I called they weren't willing to do anything other than make us drive back again and wait yet another 20 minutes! The owner was too busy to talk to us directly so we were told to call back in the morning.
