Something about moving makes me nervous. Perhaps it's the idea of strangers, coming into your house, taking all your personal belongings, then handing over a king's ransom to them at the end, all the while stressing about possible damage to your prized possessions, that makes the experience so daunting. Enter Rosado Movers. I first used this moving service last year. I was organizing a move for my mother, who treasures her furniture, and belongings as if they were The Crown Jewels. So I had to pick the right movers. After hours of research, I finally narrowed it down to Rosado Movers, and am so glad I did. Robert, the owner, answered the phone. He was extremely polite, respectful, and took the time to explain how carefully they handled moves. He assured me they'd take great care of my mothers things. I somehow felt I could trust him, so I took a deep breath, and booked them. The guys showed up right on time, and I was impressed that Robert personally came along to make sure things went smoothly. There were three guys, all very professional, polite, and friendly, with a large, clean, truck, in great condition, to ensure speedy travel time. In a flash, the truck was packed and on it's way. At the house in Palo Alto, the crew carefully put everything in place, at the speed of light. Amazing. But wait, it gets better. The total bill was exactly as quoted, very reasonable, and to top it off, the best quote I'd received among all the other moving companies I'd called or emailed. And there were many. I'm doing another small move tomorrow, and have booked this dream team again. Rosado Movers takes the stress out of moving and manages to turn it into a pleasant experience. Bravo Rosado Movers. Highly recommended. update: Many Thanks to Rosado Movers: Lolo, Orlando and *Sihua* (from Hawaii) for another Excellent move! And thanks to Robert, the extremely kind owner, for going way beyond the call of duty to make sure everything went well. read more

We hired Rosado Movers to merge two households this past weekend. Assigned to my move was: Anthony, Flabio and Omar. They were professional, courteous, and lighting fast! My one-bedroom move was completed in 3 1/2 hours door-to-door. I should mention my old apartment was on the 4th floor (no elevator) and the new house is on the 3rd floor (no elevator)!! These guys definitely got their cardio workout! For the 2nd household, we utilized Rosado's packing and moving services. Saturday morning, Anna, Maria and Mariela came with their moving boxes and supplies. In less than 4 hours, they had securely and completely packed a 3 bedroom townhome and garage!! These ladies are amazing. Everything was organized and clearly labeled by room and location. On Sunday, Martin, Pablo, Joe, Anthony and a couple other helpers - led by Carlos expertly loaded and filled an entire truck top to bottom. They wrapped and secured all the large furniture and artwork. The truck was loaded in less than 4 hours. When they unloaded at the new house, they organized all the boxes according to room, wore protective shoe coverings within the house, covered the wood floors to prevent scratching, assembled all the beds, removed all the packing materials and even swept out the dusty garage! THE BEST for last: when our oversized Crate and Barrel sofa failed to make the 180 degree turn up the tight stairway, the guys hoisted it up 3 stories, up and over the balcony and brought it in! The neighborhood children even cheered them on! I highly recommend Rosado Movers - 5 Stars to Robert, Carlos, Anthony and the crew. You guys made moving suck a whole lot less... I need EVERYONE to know about Cal-Movers!!! The movers we originally hired flaked on us at the last minute. We called Robert Rosado, owner of Cal Movers and within an hour he gave us a scheduled time to be here, and two hours later he and his crew arrived. It was a big job; lots of big furniture and the drive was from San Jose, downtown, to Sepastapol, after dark, in the fog! They were completely "on it" every step of the way, from start to finish. Got here to Sebastapol just behind us, got everything inside and set up like the pros they are. Friendly, polite, respectful of our belongings and our needs. They stepped right up to the plate and came thru with flying colors. We want to recommend them to EVERYONE who has a move coming up. The prices are ABSOLUTELY FAIR!!! They came thru for us in an emergency situation and treated us like gold. We have moved several times recently and THIS experience has taught us how to tell the "good", from the "okay" thru the "forget its" to the "THESE ARE THE GUYS TO GO WITH"!!! Trust me on this. You will NOT be sorry. I can't say enough about them. They are NOT related to me and I never met them before today, truthfully. So there is nothing in this for me except to get the word out for "Robert and his great company and crew. ' You can contact them as follows: Cal Movers P.O. CAL movers ROCK !! Guys, if you want a mover who is on time and delivers as promised, CAL movers it is. Robert and his movers are extremely fun people to deal with. At the same time, they are very professional no-nonsense guys who are very careful with your stuff. I read about CAL Movers here on yelp and after looking around decided to contact them for my move. Talk about convenient! I was able to arrange a move date within a week of my first contact (I was worried that they'd be really busy because of all the good press on yelp ;) ) I discussed the items to be moved on phone and got the quote right away. Very reasonable and adjusting. The CAL movers arrived right on time on the day of my move and true to all the other reviews here, they were professional, efficient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. They did all the prep-work that I could expect, securing my stuff for the move. When you watch them work, you can tell that they are professionals and not just some guys taking on a side job for fast cash. Another thing to note was that the estimate was spot-on. No two-hours-over-estimate monkey business. If you consider the cost per man per hour and the fact that gas now costs $4.00/gallon, I thought that their rates are really reasonable. I would use these guys again, and recommend them to friends, no hesitation. Hope they keep up the quality of their service as their business inevitably grows! I wish them all the very best. read more

My wife and I recently moved from an apartment to a house within the same neighborhood. We looked into several local moving companies on the web, then called two to get quotes. Robert from Rosado called back within a few hours and arranged to come by for a quote a day or two later. The estimate was comparable to the other company we contacted, but only Rosado offered to come by for an in-person quote - which gave us a nice comfort level to trust them with our belongings. The day of the move, the team arrived within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, and Robert even called us to let us know they would be slightly delayed. Rosado provided 3 movers - Joseph, Omar and Jose - all of whom were very professional and pleasant to work with. They were very careful to wrap all of our furniture with furniture blankets and plastic wrap, even IKEA items made of pressed wood that were never really meant to be moved. At one point, Robert and Carlos stopped by to see how the move was progressing, with a few more helpers, all of whom helped speed up the process. In the end, the team completed the move more quickly than we expected, coming in at the low end of the estimate range. And we were thrilled to see that all of our furniture and boxes came through in good shape, with no damage. We would definitely recommend Rosado Movers to anyone else planning a move in the South Bay or beyond. read more

I have used Rosado movers three times already with my last move yesterday and I cannot say enough good things about my experience in all three times. They are punctual, provide reasonable rates and most importantly very professional in what they do. All the movers are very courteous and very responsive to all requests Imade. They are quite experienced in the dismantling and reassembling of furniture pieces and they do it quite fast which shows a lot of experience. Robert, the owner, participates in the move himself and goes above and beyond in ensuring the smoothness of the move paying extra attention to preventing any damage to furniture or the home during the move. All my furniture was carefully wrapped in blankets and then plastic wrap to ensure full protection. I had a big leather couch that I needed to move to the second floor and I was very doubtful that it would make it through the narrow stairway of my new home. They somehow managed to do it with no damage at all! They first planned how they would route it up, tilting it in various directions to squeeze it through and they made it happen with not a scratch to the wall. I would highly recommend Rosado movers to anyone. High level of professionalism and hard working, experienced movers with an impressive keenness for customer satisfaction. read more

Highly recommended! We just got our internet hooked up, otherwise I would have written this sooner, but man, this group was good!!! We had Robert come out and do an in person estimate a few days before the move. He gave me a "not to exceed" quote, and told me he'd send 3 people. The second group that came gave me a lower quote, but I liked Robert better, and he was willing to negotiate on price, and was available on the day we wanted to move. Moving day came, and he showed up with a crew of 7 instead of 3, including himself! We were all the way out of our old one story home, and into our new multi level home in under 4 hours! That included 2 trips and a break! (We were moving less than a mile, so there wasn't much drive time.) All of our belongings and furniture made it over without damage, his workers were fast, polite, and strong, and they helped make the transition very smooth for all of us. In the end, it ended up costing more than the other guys would have, but that was on us because we gave each worker a large tip since we were so happy with their service. Robert stuck to his quote. I really hope to not have to move again for several years, but when and if we do, I wouldn't hesitate to hire Robert and his CAL Movers again in a heartbeat. Thanks again guys! read more

We relocated from the East Coast with 2 PODS and needed help unloading them. We called several moving companies, and few were willing to simply provide unloading services (I guess the job was "too small"). One call I made was to Cal-Movers. I spoke with Robert, who was very nice. He had availability and a willingness to take the job at a reasonable fee. I am SO glad he did, as hiring him was one of the best decisions I have made during this move! Cal-Movers went so far above & beyond that it is hard to describe. They treated my stuff as if it were their own. We brought our own appliances, and Robert not only moved them, but also took the time to hook them up. Sounds simple, but in order to move the existing modern refrigerator out of the 1950s kitchen and replace it with a newer refrigerator, the doors had to come off. This took some time, but he did a magnificent job. I also want to add the Robert was very kind, not only to us, but also to his crew. He kept a positive attitude the entire time. We ran over the estimated timeframe, but Robert and his crew continued to work until the job was done. I would recommend Cal-Movers to anyone in the Bay area looking for an affordable, professional, and even pleasant moving experience. read more

Professional, courteous, and tireless. Highly Recommended. My wife and I hired Rosado to pack and move because she'd just taken a new job in the city with on-call, and I had had some time sensitive work come up. The packing team came Thursday at 0800 sharp, and were very thorough and careful. They were moving much more quickly than I'd anticipated, so I moved our cats to the new place so the team could leave the door open and have free reign of the place. Our entire apartment was packed by 1400. The next day the move team ( Jonathan, Igor, Alex, and George ) arrived at 0800, and proceeded to load everything. They were so careful that I felt ok leaving them in the apartment for the last hour or so while I went to meet some utility people at the new house. Here's how thorough they are - they took a little longer than I expected to arrive at the new house, because during the exit sweep, they noticed I'd left two cat litter boxes the day before. They took a few minutes to find materials to pack the litterboxes and move them. When I went back to do my sweep there was nothing there but dust bunnies. Unloading was just as professional, and they were out by 1630. Needless to say, I'd do business with them again. read more

Rosado Movers was there for my family during a very challenging time. My father sold his home during an unexpected 3 month stay in the hospital. His children all live out of state and ended up with one available weekend move and store an entire 4 bedroom home. Robert and Tony were excellent in communicating with me and scheduling pretty last minute for a pack and move. They arrived on time after we kids drove through the night to my father's home. The packing crew worked so well, asking us what to pack and what to toss. They were careful with all the delicate items. Rosado provided all the packing supplies. Robert even brought us breakfast! (Thank you so much for that! After driving 11 hours and 3 hours of sleep, we were barely hanging on!) The following day the movers were Tetris masters as they packed the storage pods. They carefully wrapped the large pieces of furniture and the crew was efficient and hard working. Their crew is trustworthy. I am so pleased I found Rosado Movers. I would recommend them very highly to anyone needing their services. I wished they lived in my state and I could tell all my local friends about them. Thank you! There is no way we could've pulled it off without their help. read more

Wonderful experience, highly recommended!!! One week before "The Move" I started to look at the movers and sent requests for quotes. Out of 5 that I sent e-mail and filled the request forms, they were the first one to answer within 4 hours. Hmmmm, that's a good start! After 3 days Robert and his team arranged the moving estimate inspection - arrived exactly at the time specified - another plus!!! Cheerful disposition, professional bearing, great personality - Robert was fast and to the point!!! And, did I mention, - really good price. Big M-day (Moving Day) arrived. The Rosado team arrived earlier, were waiting for us to start. All items were moved professionally, all tables, beds were disassembled, wrapped and loaded. Fantastic work ethics, not a minute wasted. I am very happy with those guys, and I believe that everything starts from the owner - Robert. He personally came and checked couple of times to see how the things were moving. If you ask me if I will ever use them again - the answer would be YES!!! Thank you, Rosado Movers, for making our move this pleasant, that by 5pm we were sitting on the deck of our new home, drinking wine and looking at beautiful Spring Valley. read more

We recently used Rosado movers for whole house move. We reached out to them purely based on recommendations and the fact that they were available for work on the day we wanted. Overall our experience was absolutely spot-on. Rosado movers folks took extreme care to move every single piece of furniture / TV / elliptical / wall pictures. Every single item was carefully wrapped with rugs and plastic to ensure that even if there are minor bumps along the way, they do not damage the item. At the destination address, Rosado movers took every item, placed it at the location we asked and helped clean out the packaging materials. I'd specifically like to call out our movers crew: Antonio, Manuel, Victor and Elvin for their diligence and care during our move. They showed up on time, wearing appropriate PPE (due to COVID) and ensured proper protocols were always followed during the work. We had some pretty heavy items and these folks ensured that every item arrived without a scratch. Pricing wise they were pretty reasonable (at $200/hr) compared to a few others we asked around. Overall, highly recommended and would use them anytime in future if needed. read more

This review is for Tony, Foaki, Pita, Junior, Paea, and Pasa. I used Rosado movers to move my art/photography studio in Mountain View up to my house in Milpitas. They did a great job. They arrived on time, moved my items carefully, shrink-wrapped and bundled up some fragile and loose items. They worked very quickly and efficiently. None of my items were damaged or lost. Everything was placed and unwrapped/unbundled where I wanted it at the house. The billing was as I had been quoted, there were no surprises or problems there. I was very happy with the first moving job, so I hired them again to move my condo in Mountain View up to the house in Milpitas. Once again, the move went smoothly, they did a great job with wrapping//bundling loose items, they wrapped and protected the large glass items (mirrors, glass tabletops) and other furniture. They worked quickly and efficiently. At the house, everything was unwrapped/unbundled where I wanted it. Billing was fine again, with no surprises or problems. I was very happy with Rosado Movers' service, and I will call them again if I have another move to do. I recommend them very highly. read more

By recommendation we contracted Rosado Movers. Schools have certain guidelines with regards to with whom we can contract, and we're particular with the individuals who come on a school campus. Rosado Movers didn't disappoint. They had to pick up a huge copier that was being donated to our school, Willow Glen Elementary. After delivering the machine, and discovering that it didn't fit in the original room, we had to have the crew move it to another location. All three gentlemen on this assignment were very understanding; they packed up the machine and moved it again across campus. They even set it up and made sure it was running correctly, even though this wasn't part of their responsibility. Right before they finished, the owner stopped by to make sure everything was delivered correctly and to our satisfaction. We were extremely pleased with the care they took and their willingness to go above and beyond their duty to help the school. Thank you Rosado Movers. If in the future I need movers again, you are the first on my list to be contacted. I'm so glad I followed through on the recommendation to call on you. read more

Robert was professional from the start. We had several discussions about the scope of my move and what I needed done. The morning of the move he contacted me and informed me about his ETA. He and his son showed on time and they were ready to work. They proved to be a capable crew. They dealt with a very steep hill and removed items from the garage very carefully and loaded up a trailer paying special attention to our fragile pieces. They worked fast and were very helpful and friendly. They wrapped almost everything in blankets before they moved some pretty heavy pieces of furniture. These guys didn't complain about weight or continual work. Robert is organized in his approach to loading furniture and other items. He plans everything in advance to save time when unloading. They hauled our stuff all the way from the East Bay to the Mission District and the move went flawlessly. These guys are professional. They were able to bring a sense of calm to a stressful situation. I'll will certainly hire them again! read more

Rosado Movers are the best service I have ever found. The attention to detail is excellent, all the guys are very friendly , I recommend them greatly; and if you speak Spanish even better, you will be hiring one of the best services Latinos can bring, they are really hard workers, and very honest. I want to say hello and thank these guys one by one, I know that I'm late writing this letter, but you know that in a move, there is a lot of things to take care of, including jobs and family. THANKS TO: Juan, Jonhatan, Foeki, Piya and Tony. Especial thanks to Robert Rosado, I really enjoyed talking to you and doing business with you. Another especial THANK YOU Robert, for your service in the military, help create this great Nation , and keep our freedom, I salute you , I would like to have friends like you. THANKS GUYS. For sure I will hire them again and will recommend them to friends and family and to everybody. TRUST THESE GUYS AND HIRE THESE GREAT FAMILY ! ! ! Your Friend - Angel Gregg Gutierrez. read more

Rosado just moved me from Mountain View to S. San Jose. Definitely a class act and by far the most careful, efficient and honest movers ever in my experience (which includes 9 moving companies in the past 25 years). Rosado is very much a family business--and they care about their reputation. All the folks involved (Robert, the owner, Andy, Angel and Joseph) are family (except for one family friend). They are friendly and honest and straight-shooters. Not a scratch on anything! Which is kind of amazing since they had to haul my stuff down three flights of stairs and I have some very heavy items (big chest of drawers, big antique Chinese wooden file cabinet, etc.). They very effectively covered all my furniture with movers quilts and then shrink-wrapped them. It is hard to find this kind of integrity these days. If you use Rosado, you will not regret it. And given that the move required 3 men and 6 hours, the cost ($650) was totally reasonable. read more

Robert and his stellar team of movers moved me in the summer of 2012 within Palo Alto. I had very little time to move out of the apartment and clean it and was concerned. Robert said he'd send 12 movers (12!) so I could be out on time and quoted me a price that was a bit less than the other companies in the area. They arrived at 8am as scheduled and began the most impressive move I have ever witnessed. I've moved several times in New York and once in California, and though those went well, they can't compare. The movers were polite, professional, and cleared out my studio in under an hour. Everything arrived in great shape (not a single broken glass!), and they unloaded into my new place just as efficiently. I'm grateful I had their support that day, and appreciate that the total cost was exactly what I was quoted with no surprises. That they finished early was a huge bonus. Thank you and I'll definitely use you for my next move! read more

These guys are pros. They showed up on time (actually early) for an 8AM appointment last Sunday. Packed up my house extremely efficiently and handled all of my items with the utmost care. Fast, friendly, efficient crew. I was amazed at both their speed and their ability to fill every square inch of the capacity in both my pod and their truck. The owner of the company, Roberto, even showed up to make sure everything ran smoothly. My move was highly complex and involved multiple stops. They warned me that Goodwill might not take all my furniture--and they were right. So they got stuck with several large pieces and charged me a reasonable hauling fee to take the stuff away. I was very upset with Goodwill, but appreciative that Rosado Movers was willing to take care of this problem for me. I would highly recommend Rosado Movers and will use them again. Great service and great value! read more
