My wife and I used CAL Movers on June 21st, moving from an apartment in Santa Clara to an apartment in Palo Alto. We were extremely impressed with the professionalism and work ethic of the entire team. Not only did Robert, the owner, oversee the entire move, but he brought along a team of 5+ movers, greatly expediting the process. All the workers were courteous and handled our boxes and furniture with great care. The total cost of the move was lower than the quotes by other moving companies in the area. We highly recommend CAL Movers, and will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

We used Cal Movers to unload our truck after we moved to San Jose. Robert and his staff were very quick and friendly, and completed our unload under the 2 hour minimum -- which was exactly what we'd hoped for. Everyone was extremely professional and took great care to not damage our belongings. read more

Used Rosado Movers recently for a local move. Initally planned to do a simple appliance swap from our old house to our new house but decided to move a few addtional items.(majority of the furniture was staying to be used for staging.) The Rosado crew showed up 10 minutes early had me walk them through the plan of attack...then the boys got after it. They took great care in handling the appliances and worked their tails off. They were efficent and wasted no time. They moved more than I thought they could in 2 hours. They went the extra mile to find creative ways to get the appliances into their new locations....this meant taking off a fence gate and taking the door off the fridge......I appreciated their can do attitude. Very fair pricing as well...... Highly recommend Rosado movers and will be using them to finish off the move when the time comes. read more

We've used Rosado Movers two times now, and all of the guys are great. They're quick and efficient but careful with your belongings. They wrap and pad to ensure that there is no damage to your furniture.I was also impressed with how careful they were not to damage walls or doors. They are on time, friendly and extremely hard-working. I'd recommend Rosado Movers. read more

We are very satisfied with Rosado Movers. They packed and moved our stuff to storage first and, a few months later, from storage to our new home. Great crew and they got the job done. They were careful and fast. Both moving and the packing service crew were wonderful. read more

More than a year after our first move, we contacted Robert again Oct 2012, for our 2nd move. He gave us the same price as the last time, even though this time the move was from a two-story house to a two-story house. This time, because his business was so much bigger, he sent out more guys and they finished sooner than last time. All the guys were so polite and so careful. They covered the floor, the stair rails. They were very careful with walls and the doors. The house was brand new. They did not dent anything. We were so pleased! If anyone needs a mover for moving into a brand new home, we highly recommend Rosado Movers. read more

Rosado movers were fantastic. They wrapped everything carefully and there was no damage. to anything. They successfully disassembled and reassembled our bed for us. Amer, Lalo, and Keeney were professional, efficient, and courteous. They did a great job with a particularly heavy/cumbersome dresser. I'd recommend them to anybody. read more

Rosado Movers are the best in Bay area. They are very professional in everything, from being right on time to packing to unloading to assemble. Everything is perfect. Robert and his team deserves all the stars and would recommend Rosado movers to everyone. read more

This team is professional, thoughtful, hard working, thorough and pleasant. The price is so fair, that it was nonsense to rent a truck and move it all ourselves. They were protective of our belongings and took care to listen to us and place things in their proper place. Thank you Rosado Movers! read more

I would definitely recommend Rosado Movers. Not only was the team of Joe, Fernando, Foek, Tony and Carlos efficient, careful, timely; they were also polite fun and great to have around. I would trust them with any move and be glad to work with them. read more

We chose Rosado because some friends recommended them, and we are more than happy with the election. Their service is extremely professional and their prices pretty fair. They arrived on time and worked super efficiently and fast! (even though it was Sunday 8am!) Igor, Omar and Tony were awesome and super friendly! ROBERT, JORGE JONATHAN AND ALEX ARE AWESOME!!On 3/7/15 I drove from Southern California to move my belongings from my storage unit in Mountain View in one day. With-in 15 minutes of being at my unit I realized that my movers we're going to be a no show! I ran to the office to see if someone could help me. MARSHANN at Public Storage on Terra Bella looked up three movers for me. I called the first and he was to expensive. I could tell he was trying to take advantage of my situation. Which was- I had a truck and needed to get on the road that day back to LA but had no movers! My second call was to ROSADO MOVERS. I can't say enough GOOD THINGS about these guys! Wow- what life savers they were for me. Truly!! Robert had his team to me with in 1/2 an hour. They wrapped my stuff with shrink wrap and loaded it in the truck within 3 hrs. They took my trash and some items for donation at NO EXTRA CHARGE! And I was on my way home. When I got home after a 6 hour drive I opened the truck to check on things and not one item had moved. I was so pleased. JORGE, JONATHAN and ALEX WORKED THIER TAILS OFF!! read more

This is the best moving company we have ever worked with (and we have moved five times in the last six years). They are professional, timely, and cared for our stuff like it was their own. I am very impressed by their teams - great attitudes, attention to detail, and speed. Everything made it through beautifully. We will never go with anyone else for our moving needs! read more

Before YELP we relied on friends and their friends for suggestions on great movers you can trust. Well that still happens and so I recommended Rosado Movers to a family moving their mom into assisted living. The family was so pleased and gushed about what a terrific moving company Rosado Movers is and how grateful they are to me for the reference. So I called the owner, Robert, to thank him on behalf of the family who is too busy settling in to make that call themselves. Robert's team was prompt, worked fast, took great care with the furniture and fragile items. It was my pleasure to pass on this praise and appreciation for their outstanding service. Robert expressed his pride in his team and their professionalism. What a great boss, he appreciates his crew and they give him a great reason to. I highly recommend Rosado Movers. read more

So grateful to everyone at Rosado Movers, they are awesome! We had our stuff moved from the East Coast to San Jose area only to find there was a big rat problem in our new rental house. We were very upset and wanted out immediately. I found Rosado Movers on yelp and called at 9 am. Tony met me at 11 am to see how much stuff we have (we have A LOT.) I wanted out that day if at all possible. We agreed to price and the entire staff was there within a couple of hours. We were lucky they didn't have a move scheduled that day. The entire staff was as nice as can be and they did a great job packing our stuff back up and getting us out. We will definitely use them for our next move and highly recommend them! Thank you so much guys!! read more

We were recommended Rosado Movers from a friend and they were absolutely right. Rosado was amazing. Reaching out online and scheduling an assessment was super easy. Robert came by to do the assessment a day or two later, and we really enjoyed meeting him. Right away he gave us a quote (it was really nice not to have to wait a day or two like the other movers we've worked with) and it was very reasonable. He was really respectful of our house, explained how things would work, and how their team has worked together for many years now. We worked with them to do all our packing on one day and the move the following day. Both days the teams were on time, had all the materials, and were professional and extremely wonderful to work with. We had an incredible experience end-to-end and will definitely use them for our next move! read more

We used Rosado to move items from a 2nd story condo to our home in Palo Alto. They did a great job. The stairs from the condo were quite tight but they didn't ding anything and all of the furniture was delivered quickly without any damage to the furniture or the walls/doors/railings. read more

LOVE Rosado Movers! They are simply the best. This is my 3rd time using them for my move. Anthony and his team did an outstanding job. These guys worked diligently throughout the whole moving process. Showed up on-time. They were very detailed oriented with the process. They wrapped everything safely and secure. Everything that was disassembled was carefully reassembled when we got to the new place. They worked quickly but gently. Very respectful of our things. Friendly, professional, and efficient. I can't say enough good things about this company. I liked how well the team communicated with me to make sure I was informed and had an input on how we should transport more valuable pieces, like a hand painted picture that is very important to me. They took care to wrap it so that it was fully protected. Also, they put booties on over their shoes when we got to the new place which had freshly shampooed carpets. Awesome experience all around. I would thoroughly recommend their services for anyone looking to take the stress out of move day. My experience was completely stress-free thanks to these guys. read more

You hear the horror stories of terrible movers but Rosado movers are not those guys. They arrive on time, are very organized, very helpful, very polite, never complain and always have a smile on their faces. They are real experts at what they do. I have referred them to everyone I know and I'm notoriously tough to please. I'd highly recommend them to anyone in the bay area. 5 Stars, great service!!! read more

We were fortunate to have Pita, Tonga & Peao wrap and load our furniture, they did a wonderful job as everything arrived to our new home undamaged. We had a one bedroom apartment and they management to complete the entire job in two hours. We moved from Mountain View in Silicon Valley to Orange County and Robert was so gracious and patient in getting it all there in a clean and fancy new truck. We drove in our car down to Orange Country after the truck was loaded and they arrived the next morning just before 8 AM and had everything unloaded by 9:30 AM. He and his nice son Anthony moved everything in and assembled the appropriate furniture. Dealing with Rosado's is a pleasant experience and although they are not the cheapest movers, you can count on them providing quality. read more

Robert and his team are the best! They were quick to get me a quote and easy to work with on scheduling for my move. When move day came, they got delayed by two hours at their first job (not their fault) and so they showed up to my place two hours after their scheduled arrival time. Robert came over ahead of his team to start the unloading process and he and his team were super quick and efficient (yet still super careful) at getting the truck unloaded and all of my furniture and boxes inside. They even helped me re-assemble my bed frame and arrange my furniture so that it would all fit nicely. Even after working for over an hour, Robert refused to accept payment because they were late to the job. Even though they started late, they got everything unloaded quickly enough to make the scheduled end time and allow us to get the truck back in time to avoid late fees. Robert and his team were thorough, efficient, and professional and I would definitely recommend them to others and use them again for future moves (thought hopefully I won't be moving again anytime soon). read more

This was the worse experience of my life! 1) They just moved half of my stuff and left me, (after paying $800 to them) with three full loads. They left these behind: a 12x18 large carpet, all frames, mirror, sleeping covers & pillows, Satellite Dish, Barbecue, ALL shoes (three sets of shoes hangings, vacuum cleaner, front door table, carpets, etc, etc!!! I have back pain and I had to go back to the apartment next day three rounds with two cars (one SUV and one Sedan) to bring the remaining items. 2) They were very late, supposed to come at 1pm to max. 2pm. They called at 2pm and said they will be 30 to 45 min, they arrived at 3:30pm! 3) They estimated for our small 2Bd apartment about 3 hours but they ended up charging me for 5.25 hours or $800! (I moved to the apartment 2 years ago from Stanford and it took 2.5 hours and much much much smoother move). Even for 5.5 hours, my wife and I literally helping them to unload the truck. They charge double after 6pm ($240/hour). 4) I swear that the guy (Lalo or whatever) was killing time as much as possible, and not only he multiple times getting on phone calls for several 5+ mins, but rather than working, he was organizing their cover sheets, cleaning the bottom of his truck and killing time and doing personal stuff as much as it could ever be possible. 5) From the first min that I called Robert even before reserving this online and he asked me if I patio furniture, and I said, I have pots but not a table or furniture. Also when they came in, I told the guy in charge (Lalo or something like that) that everything in this place needs to go out, but then they gave me a hard time and didn't move our small patios's stuff, and left us behind with a half a truck materials. (they didn't even bother to put the stuff in packed order or open room for the remaining stuff, and this was all a small 2 Bd apartment and they saw in and out of it when they came in and inspect before even start loading. The worse part was the rude response, when they mentioned that they don't have room for the rest of the stuff in their car and I told them, but what should I do now, they very impolitely responded in a very rude way (they means that Lalo guy after he called Robert) that we can return everything back to the house!!!!). I requested to talk to Robert on the phone, they didn't connect me and when I called him from my cell, he didn't pick up. My experience of talking to Robert in one day before move was he was very rude and also getting confused, not reading emails, etc, both him and his assistant who was making the reservations. That was a worse experience ever. I am a very easy going person, I have a PhD from Stanford and I m a CEO of a tech company in the valley, everybody who knows me, confirm that I am trying to make thing to work and generally don't get upset about things. Be careful about these guys. To the credit, the only nice person there was a nice guy, african-american, I think his name was Joe or maybe the other one, but he was very nice, helpful and trying to make a good work. I liked him and his work. I gave him and the other guy some tips because of their effort, even though I was super unsatisfied with Lalo and Robert and the whole Rosado experience. Just Terrible.! I got stomachache thinking about it. read more

This was my worse experience in life! These guys were terrible. The manager was very rude, when you talk to him. They made several mistake on the timing of my move. Then finally they were supposed to come at 1am of a day. They called at 1:15 saying they will be late for 30 min and then they showed up at 4:00pm and you know the rule, they are double charging you after 6pm!! I very much explained both by email and also on the phone to the manager and also to the movers about the move of my 2Bd apartment, then you know what happened? Not only they went above and beyond of what they quoted me (2-2.5 hours or $240-$300 but I ended up paying $800). But even this is not the worse part of the whole story, even though they have a fairly large truck, they put the stuff without any organization in the truck that almost %25 of my 2bd left, they said, we don't have room for the rest!!! What?!! Yeah, we don't have room for the rest and we can't move your carpets, mirrors, a lot of kitchen aids , etc, etc and a lot more. And conversation was not helpful. Rude enough, they were saying that this is what it is and if you don't want it, then we can unload the truck!! what the ****! Any way, they were calling their manager (I believe his name was Mike) and he was not only responsive but also very very rude. I was very disappointed. THEY DIDN"T TAKE %25-30 of OUR STUFF AND I HAD TO MOVE THEM MY SELF WITH MY WIFE OVER 7 DIFFERENT BACK AND FORTH WITH OUR SMALL TOYOTA COROLLA. Lastly, my wife and I literally were helping them in the move. But one of them (the taller spanish guy) was LITERALLY playing and organizing his car rather than unloading the truck. The other guy (african-american guy) was very nice and respectful person, trying to clean up the mess as much as possible and I gave him extra tips because he was a good guy, but the service, the company, and the manager, the assistant and the spanish tall guy were TERRIBLE! The worse people I ever dealt with. I NEVER EVER EVER gonna go a job to AWEFUL Rosado Movers. The most unprofessional and worse service. It's been quite a while since I just saw their name and I thought I have the responsibility to write this for other people who need a mover. read more

I saw that my neighbors used Rosado Movers last month to relocate from Calif to Oregon so I called them to help locally transport my grandmother's antique bedroom set to my home. Overall, they did their job. They show up on time, that worths one star and they treat everything nice and carefully, that worths another star. However, it costs much more than I think. About one year ago, I hired another moving company to help me move from a one level single family house to a tri-level townhouse, it took about 4 hrs and cost me less than $700. This time when I quote the price from Rosado, they gave me a 6-8 hrs work. I asked why it took so long as I only have two bedroom and it only took me 4 hrs to do the same job last time (from a different company though). He said because I am moving from a tri-level townhouse to another tri-level townhouse, it will take longer. He estimated it at least takes 6 hrs. OK, I can accept that. Well, guess what? It took them 9 hrs to finish the job including 8 regular hrs and 1 after-hour (which I need to pay 50% more). So in the end, I spent over $1500 to do the moving (yep, I still give them $200 tips as I know it's not an easy job). I just don't understand why it takes so many extra hours this time. The movers appear to work all the time and only took one hr break for the lunch and some rest. But they seem to not work so efficiently compared to the last company I hired. Maybe someone else gets better experience from them, but I will not hire them again and will not recommend to my friends. I will go back to use my last moving company if I need to move again next time. read more

I called Rosado on a Friday afternoon, having signed a lease on a 1700 SF townhouse in Mountain View, that I needed to be moved into by the next Tuesday. These guys were "on it", having 3 packers come on Monday, the getting the physical move done by that Tuesday's deadline. I was initially disappointed with how long the packers took to put everything in boxes, but realized, after unpacking boxes, they were more careful of my stuff than I would've been. There was a cheap Pier One table that was damaged in the move but, to their credit, they pointed it out to me before I noticed. They also took a bit off the price to compensate me for it. Finally, the only thing missing was a dolly my husband kept in garage. It was funny because this same dolly went missing after we had other movers transport our belongings from LA last summer. I guess movers assume it's theirs. Anyway, Tony at Rosado promptly found it and returned it to me with a smile. All in all, I was quite satisfied with the work and would use Rosado again. read more

I was apprehensive to hire movers to help me move items to my new place at first. Therefore, I waited until the last minute to call around and found that numerous movers were booked or over charging. A had remembered that a colleague of mine recommended Cal-Movers to me awhile back and I'm sure glad I went forward with them. I loved that even though they were extremely booked that day, they were able to accommodate me in their busy schedule, which showed me that they really care about their customers. (Hence, they are very reasonably priced--I don't know of any other movers that offer senior or student discounts. =) ) I found them to be quick, professional, efficient and most importantly respectful of my belongings. Without even having to ask, Robert and his crew securely bubbled/saran wrapped all of my items and later asked me where I wanted my items placed instead of just dumping it anywhere in my new place. I highly recommend Cal-Movers and would definitely do business with them again and again!!! read more

If you are moving, look no further. I received a quote from Robert regarding a potential move in a sticky situation (moving from an ex). I then had one day's notice for the move date and time and contacted Robert - he was courteous and efficient and thankfully could accommodate my last minute notice. They were scheduled to pick up the items without me at the initial location and deliver them to me at my location, maintaining confidentiality of my address. They were nothing short of amazing! They were at my new address at least 40 minutes earlier than I thought they would get there and introduced themselves - Robert introduced himself and notified me that things went smoothly at the initial location and introduced the team. Then the guys - Gerardo, Marco and Jaime - efficiently whisked my items into my new residence, placing them carefully wherever indicated. All furniture items were securely blanket wrapped and wrapped in plastic. Gerardo, Marco and Jaime - you are nothing short of a Godsend! I swear I saw wings and halos. You were polite and sweet and very courteous and respectful. I am very grateful for your help and would HIGHLY recommend Cal Movers and these guys to everyone. Don't even bother calling around. I will use them without hesitation for my next move. read more

Add me to the long list of people who are very happy they contacted Cal Movers. I called late on Saturday afternoon because I was in a tough spot. I had ordered some new living room furniture, and didn't expect it to be delivered for several weeks. Then suddenly I got a call from the freight carrier saying they were coming by in a couple of days, and I had to accept the delivery or start paying storage charges! The problem was, I still hadn't figured out what to do about my old furniture. It was still in good shape, and I wanted to donate it to a needy family, but I couldn't find anyone to help me move it on such short notice. I called a couple of moving companies, but nobody answered the phone or returned my messages. Then I called Cal Movers and my luck changed. Robert personally answered the phone and listened politely as I explained my situation. At first he was a bit skeptical, as I gather many people try to dump old, beat-up furniture at Good Will and other charities. However when I explained that my furniture was not torn, stained, or covered in pet hair, and that I had already contacted Good Will about donating, he was happy to help. He even agreed to waive his normal 3-hour minimum and transport the furniture for a reduced flat fee. We confirmed the arrangement via email, and the next morning two of his workers, Gerardo and Emilio, showed up at my door. They were both very courteous and efficient, and even removed their shoes before entering my apartment! When my sofa wouldn't fit in the elevator, they cheerfully carried it down the stairs themselves. In less than an hour, they managed to load a sofa, large chair, ottoman and coffee table into their pickup truck. Just as they were leaving, Robert himself showed up in his Sunday best (literally--he was on his way to church!) because he was concerned that we might need a larger truck. Although we didn't, I appreciated Robert coming by in person on a Sunday morning to make sure I was taken care of. That kind of customer service is rare these days. If I need to hire a moving company again, I will definitely call Cal Movers. Robert, Gerardo and Emilio are an awesome team! read more

This is a fabulous, family run business. Robert is extremely flexible, very professional and reliable. We had a complicated, BIG move. Tons of furniture and possessions that had to first be packed and shifted into the garage and the middle of rooms at our old 5 bedroom house, so that we could start prepping it for sale. Then a few days later everything had to move into the garage and middle of the rooms of our new, smaller house, which was still in the process of remodeling. It was very stressful, and extremely hot, but Robert and his crew kept their sense of humor through it all. I'll never forget the image of these guys moving our massive stone Buddha, straining like mad and still able to laugh. Robert also took a bunch of furniture that wouldn't fit into our new home and hauled it to a donation site for us, and even arranged to dispose of old paint and items that had to go to hazardous waste. Whatever you need, this company will try their best to make it work for you, all at a very reasonable charge! (And Robert's mom is an inspiration.) read more
