Thiago and his staff were extremely professional. We paid an $80 deposit to secure our reservation and then the deposit is deducted from your hourly rate. The team is honest and starts a timer from when they arrive and pause when they take breaks. They show you the timer at the end for the hourly rate. What I appreciated most about their crew was their efficiency, coupled with care and concern for your items as if it were their own. First they did all the boxes which they were super fast loading into the truck. Then they wrapped and disassembled anything that needed to be. They removed legs off dressers to prevent them from being broke. They wrapped my sofa carefully, and dismantled my TV from the wall. I had a lot of mirrored furniture and a glass dining room table and they were all in excellent condition. Nothing was broken or missing, everything was as promised. They charge by the hour and offer a discount for cash only. If you are looking for a reasonably priced mover, then this team is for you! My only recommendation if you are seeking to save money is to wrap and disassemble as much as you can before they arrive. However we were okay with them doing it because we wanted someone professional to handle our items! Would highly recommend WeDo Moving for your upcoming move. A 5+ star review for WeDo Movers. The other reviews are correct, you can stop asking for quotes and just go with WeDo Movers. You won't be disappointed. Thiago and team were fabulous during our entire move process. The quote was reasonable and I wasn't surprised by any hidden fees when it came time to pay at the end of the day. Thiago is very responsive over Yelp and email. We did a local move of a 2 bed/1 ba apartment with 3 movers and a box truck. The truck and delivery fee were waived for our local move. There's an $80 deposit that will go towards your total move cost as long as you don't cancel. The cash/ Zelle price for 3 movers was $140/hr. We also rented a TV move box for $15 from WeDo Movers, which felt more secure than wrapping in moving blankets and plastic wrap. HomeDepot has TV boxes for about $20 and what are you going to do with the box after you're done with your move? The HOA we were moving into also required a certificate of insurance with the HOA listed as an additional insured. Thiago signed and provided us the required documents within 48 hours. There was a $100 fee to add the HOA as the additional insured. Thiago and team arrived just after 9 am and started working right away. All of our furniture was securely wrapped in moving blankets and plastic wrap. They covered all the doorways with moving blankets. Our hanged clothes went straight into wardrobe boxes and our smaller items went into a large box. Moving out took about 2.5 hours. They stopped the timer to break for lunch and met us at our new apartment. Moving in took about 2 hours. Nothing was damaged during the move. The entire move took about 5 hours. When it came time to pay, the total was what I expected. Paying and adding a tip through Zelle was simple and easy. Thiago even gave us a small house warming gift at the end of the day. I was quoted by about 10 movers in the Bay Area. WeDo Movers was the best price by far and I was very pleased with the move. Couldn't have asked for a better first time experience using movers. I'll start with a summary: Wedo Movings was clear in their communication, delivered exactly what was expected with above and beyond customer service and I could not be more satisfied with the experience. Moving sucks, but they made it quite a bit easier. The crew of 3 men arrived on time. They started by protecting areas that could be damaged, mainly the entry door frame. I gave them a tour, showing what needed to be done, and being clear about which items needed to be handled with care and which could be wrapped less thoroughly. They were attentive and remembered everything I said. As they completed the move, they asked for clarity if there were any questions. They took a break off the clock for lunch and then arrived shortly at the destination address. It got a bit more complicated at that point, as a couple of the items wouldn't fit through the door. However, they got creative and managed to get everything in without a scratch. All of our items arrived intact and without damage. One special shoutout I'd like to make is that part way through the move-in process, it started absolutely pouring. They stopped for a bit so our stuff wouldn't get wet and also stopped the clock! We were really pleasantly surprised by this. Everything went super well and we have zero complaints. The cost was just about exactly what we expected. We have a normal number of large furniture items for two people in a two bedroom house and about 40 boxes. The old place was a split level and the new one single story. It took a total of 5 hours and the cost was as estimated with no surprises. They just finished our move an hour ago at 11am 6/27/21. They were scheduled for 8:30am but they had a delay, Marco called ahead, no problem with us. Marco showed up at 8:57 am with another person with him. They IMMEDIATELY started assessment what was to be loaded and moved. They started with our 2 mattresses, disassembled the ikea mattress bed frame (you know those annoying wood ladder frames that have impossible instructions to assemble from ikea that always squeak) . Loaded mattresses in the moving van quickly. Then proceeded with our cabinets, wrapped in blanket and taped with packing wrap. They were heavy cabinets. Then our boxes of kitchen items, clothes, and miscellaneous items. Then our dining table, blanket wrapped and packing wrapped. Lastly was our 55"tv, it was wrapped in blankets, and packing wrapped. After they secured their van they went to our new place. They quickly unloaded and had no qualms about where we wanted them placed. Marco said the table may be an issue with bringing it to our new place since the table legs were long and he may need to disassemble it. Marco was able to shimmy it in thru the door without damaging the door or the table. They removed all the blankets and tape coverings and all the furniture and tv's were in pristine condition. No damage. After 2 hours they were done. I paid at the negotiated price via Venmo. They were lower than the other 10 movers I was quoted from yelp, and other websites. The entire time they were moving, they were working, no complaining, courteous, no arguments, listened to our move and placement requests. I've hired a couple of moving companies in the past and these guys are the best. The team is super nice, efficient and very communicative throughout the whole process. They helped me move a one bedroom apartment into a 2 bedroom place. They wrap everything (Furniture wise) very securely in moving blankets and treat your stuff with great care. They even help me move my large 65 inch TV even though I failed to get a TV moving box for it. They did everything they could to secure it for the move. We hired Thiago and his team (3 man crew total) for our move from a 1 bedroom apartment to our new house. You never realize how much stuff you have until you have to pack it up and move! Moving is very arduous work, so we are grateful for what these guys do! We are so thankful to have had Thiago and team help us move all of our furniture (including disassembling and reassembling) and our belongings. I have mixed feelings about writing up my review but giving it some time I decided to write my experience with WeDoMovings. The move took 10 hours and I paid $1,179.00 Here's the situation: Single person moving from a 700 sq ft 1 bed/1bath apartment to a 920 sq ft 1bed/1bath apartment. Furniture: 84" couch, coffee table, entertainment stand, 2 TVs, 2 shelves, TV stand, Ikea wardrobe, nightstand, 2 bar stools, and queen size mattress & metal frame. Items were boxed and/or in bags. "FRAGILE" was written on all sides of the boxes in which they contained glass or valuable items inside. Two stops: one to my mom's house to drop off the queen mattress/frame, nightstand, and Ikea wardrobe, the remaining items to my new apartment. Route: Union City to San Mateo to San Jose Let me start with Thiago is a great communicator. He answered all my concerns/questions before and during my move. The morning of, he called to let me know that the truck he was going to originally send out broke down so they'll have to send in a smaller one but my stuff should still fit into the smaller truck - sure, no problem. 09:15 - Two movers arrived on time and once I explained which four pieces of furniture were going to my mom's house, guy #1 started loading the boxes into the truck and guy #2 was assembling the wardrobe boxes for my hung clothes. Unfortunately, some of their wardrobe boxes were used enough times they didn't hold my clothes, so luckily I had my old ones from when I moved that apartment originally. Which is fine, I'm not planning to move again so I told them they could have my three wardrobe boxes after the move but with the amount of time it took guy #2 to assemble one box I already assembled two myself. So that was a bit concerning at the speed he was going. I was even trying to help by moving my boxes closer to the door. 13:25 - finally got the truck packed with all my stuff. My items BARELY fit in the truck, they were so full I had to put one of my TVs in my car. I did a quick walkthrough at my old apartment before leaving and noted that the back door, where they were moving my stuff through, had damaged astragals & the clip that held the window blinds chain broke plus taking out a couple of chunks of drywall. Next was my mom's house to drop off the four pieces of furniture. Thiago did call me while I was driving over to let me know that the drivers were going to take their lunch soon, this gave me the opportunity to tell him my concerns on how slow the move is going. He told me they were trying to move my items with care and that the speed at which they were moving is appropriate. (Ok... but this isn't my first move and it has NEVER taken 4 hours to load up a truck, until now). Unloading at my mom's went by quickly and was pretty painless. 14:55 - we are done at my mom's and the movers are going to take a lunch break. 15:50 - we get to the new apartment, and the leasing office was empty at the time so it wasn't until 16:15 when I finally got the keys and the movers were able to unload. That being said, I don't blame the movers for this loss of time, cause even though the leasing office knew I was stopping by, they were horribly unprepared for my move-in. 19:15 - All items are moved into the new apartment, and a $1,179.00 payment was made. This was a long, exhausting day for both me and the movers. By then, I was over the move and didn't have any more energy to express my frustration. I was planning on leaving this whole experience alone until I started to unpack and found damaged/broken items. My coffee table, entertainment table, and bar stools were scuffed. Opening some boxes, the items were tossed all around and scrambled which resulted in broken glassware that was wrapped in styrofoam, dragon art piece, and broken glass from my candles. (Mind you, these boxes were labeled "FRAGILE" clearly on all four sides and top of the boxes) Luckily the other items that were tossed around weren't fragile but I could tell which boxes were tilted sideways or upside down. Which then brought back my frustration with the move! Thiago said they were going the speed they were cause they were taking care of my items but in the end, there was a good chunk of damage done. I'm mostly upset at the damage to my furniture. I read all these 5-star reviews being hopeful but for whatever reason, my move was difficult this go around. Some of the reasons could be: 1. The smaller truck made it more difficult for them to fit my stuff in cause it was a tight squeeze which is probably why it took them longer 2. Guy #1 was definitely faster than guy #2 by a long shot (plus it was unfortunate that guy #2 didn't speak English, and I didn't speak Spanish). This was just my experience, take it as you will. Thiago quoted me an extremely fair price for a longer distance move (San Jose to Sacramento) and scheduled our move almost immediately. He was accommodating when I needed to shift our move date by a day a couple of weeks prior to the move. He answered all of my questions promptly and was even willing to move a piano we had not originally planned to have him move (we ended up donating it prior to the move). The team arrived a few minutes early on move day, walked through our place and looked at everything that needed to be loaded. The team carefully wrapped each large furniture item in blankets and then secured them with plastic wrap. I want to start off this review by saying that my first encounter with WeDo Movings was earlier this year based on a recommendation from my nephew, and I was very impressed with their work initially. Based on their excellent work on the first project I decided to rehire them for a large move. Tiago was very nice and professional, however, when he came back to help me move he had different men than the first time around. It was quite a large move and because it was only me, I was depending on Tiago and his men to help finish off taping some of my untaped boxes. The only people in the house were me, my sister, and Tiago and his men. There was a cleaning crew scheduled to come after the movers, but they showed up after all the boxes had already been moved out of the house. I want to make it clear that no one else was inside the house except my sister and I who were downstairs while Tiago and his men were moving my belongings around the house. It took them a long time to load everything on the truck and we had 2 stops to make: one at my storage and one at my new place, which was about 30 minutes away. After nearly 12 hours of moving Tiago and his men finally finished the job and left, and although it did take a while, I was overall happy with the job and I tipped the men well. Now, I was very tired after such a large move so I didn't unpack all of my boxes right away. It took me about two days to get to some of my more important boxes which contained documents and a brand-new pair of Apple Airpods Max headphones which were still sealed in their box. These headphones go for $500 and against my better judgment I had left them in one of my untaped boxes and I was trusting Tiago and his men to finish taping the box they were in along with my other belongings. So, you can imagine my shock when I finally opened the box to find that the brand-new and sealed box of my Apple Airpods Max was inside my moving box UNSEALED and out of their plastic wrapping. When I opened the box they were missing, and the plastic wrapping with which they had been sealed was thrown inside the empty box. I know that my headphones had been brand-new, unsealed, and still in the box. To prove this even further, when I called Apple to see if they could trace the headphones somehow, they told me that they couldn't since I had never opened the box and registered the headphones to my Apple ID. The headphones were stolen, and It had to have been one of Tiago's men who stole the headphones. When I called Tiago upset to let him know what had happened he was very dismissive and told me his men wouldn't do such a thing because they were "honest". He claimed he asked the other two men to which they both denied the claim, but of course, a thief isn't going to admit to theft. I let him know that I was filing a police report for my stolen headphones and that the police had recommended that WeDo Movings file an insurance claim for the missing headphones. Tiago got very defensive and angry with me and said I was harassing him and that he was going to sue me. Instead of being apologetic for this misfortune, he lashed out at me. If Tiago and his men hadn't taken the headphones why did he become so defensive, or why didn't he file an insurance claim for my lost headphones? I'm very upset that after I gave WeDo Movings my business multiple times they would treat me in such a dismissive and disrespectful way. I spent a lot of money on the move and tipping the men, and even spent more by using Tiago and his services to haul leftover garbage from the property I moved from afterward. I just want to let everyone here know that this is not a business that hires honest reputable people nor a business that will admit to its mistakes and try to fix them. I wouldn't recommend using this business, not even to my worst enemy. If you don't want your belongings stolen, hire a different mover anyone but WeDo Movings. read more

They claim that Venmo charge them a fee, this is part of being a vendor using Venmo service. I have not heard a business asked a Cutomer to pay for a business transaction fee. This is unprofessional. Wonderful experience. I have never seen movers be as diligent, thorough, and conscientious. A great balance of speed and care. The three men worked well together, were very kind, and are truly professional movers. They showed up on time. They maneuver the truck with ease. They all wore masks. They observed what there was to move and then got to work. Mats and clothes were set down to keep the floor clean (a literal red carpet along the hallway). Door jams and corners were padded to prevent chips and dings. Each piece of furniture is carefully wrapped in a blanket and then succeed with plastic wrap. Boxes were carried and set down with care. They were able to arrange the items in the truck so well that we were able to load way more stuff than we anticipated. Once we arrived at the new house, they set up the same way. Due to their efforts, all of our belongs showed up in perfect condition. I labeled all of the furniture and boxes what room they should go to. They double checked which room was which and started moving. If they were unsure where something went they would check in and not assume. They also checked how we wanted big items (like couches) arranged in a room (we were not particular and did not have them arrange items much). They cleaned up all of their items and double checked with us that we liked where everything was placed before ending the moving time. They went about 30 minutes over time, but, with how much stuff we had, we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't 2 hours over. The items (dining table, 6 chairs, two mirrors and a buffet table) wouldn't fit in our car, so we needed help for the very next day. I wish I could give them negative ratings. Let me detail my ordeal with these untrustworthy folks. I booked them to move stuff from my 1BR apartment in Fremont (2nd floor) to San Jose (1st floor). I had already taken 10-15% of the items including crockery, TV, guitar, fridge items, and all fragile items in my car. I had packed each and every item in boxes and suitcases and my furniture was minimal for a 1 BR. While I booked them for 8-9am on Sunday, their crew called me at 7:58 am when they were still outside my community gate. I went in my car to fetch them because they were not able to figure out the way. They reached my apartment and parked their truck and it was already 8:05 am by then. They made me sign a couple of things and to my surprise, they kept the start time as 7:58 am when they were half a mile away from my apartment. Still, I didn't say a word. They went downstairs and I waited patiently for them to start. But they just sat in the truck and took their own sweet time. It was 8:18 am when they came up to pick up the first item. So, already I had lost $40 when they hadn't touched a thing! I just requested them to get going soon. There were 5 people in my family and all of us were helping move the boxes and stuff fast in a staging area outside my apartment so these guys just had to pick it up and take it down one flight of stairs to the truck which was just 10-12 meters from the stairwell. However, they were so slow that by 9am, they had just picked up 20% of the stuff. Since it was their first move of the day, I expected them to be much faster. But they just looked professional, their skill was amateurish. I requested them again to hurry up. However, they literally moved things at a snail's pace. At 9:30, when I was already billed $180, they had just picked up 50% of the stuff. At this point, obviously, I was annoyed and I told them that they are working very slowly and needed to be faster. This time, the one with glasses, who was the slower one, called up Thiago and complained about me! He literally spoke for 10 mins when the other poor guy was doing his work. Thiago called me up and just by hearing one side of the story, he kept reiterating 'moving takes time.' I informed him politely that I had moved twice within the Bay Area previously with the help of professional movers and know very well how much time it should take with the stuff I had. Everything should have been put into the truck within an hour because the last 2 times it took less than an hour. And I told him I am not micromanaging his crew, but at the same time, they cannot take twice or thrice the time it should take because I am the one paying for it. And here comes the shocker. Thiago tells me that he will stop the move right then and return all items from the truck! I was astonished by this. As a customer, am I not allowed to voice my concern? He threatened me that WeDo will not return my $100 deposit and just go back in the middle of the move! He made me apologize to him and his crew repeatedly before his crew could resume the work. We were shaken by then by their complete disregard for customers and taking advantage of one's helplessness. We kept quiet the rest of the move but still continued to help the crew the entire time. Finally, the pick-up wrapped up by 10:30 am, which means a total of 2.5 hours just for putting things in the truck! Any other professional mover would have completed a 1BR move by then without any help! The entire thing took 4 hours, as luckily for them our new place is on the first floor and we helped throughout the 4 hours. I am sure if they were moving a 2BR from the second floor to 2BR on the second floor, they'd have taken a total of 8-10 hours without any help! The one with the glasses basically didn't want to pull his weight and earn for free. And of course, they didn't want to stop their money-making scheme. At the final billing, I was suddenly told that there is a $40 fee on top of the $69 additional fee. Thiago realized that his cheating won't work with me and deducted the $40 from the bill. Still, it was a very costly, upsetting, time-consuming, and tiring move for me. I've moved 9 times in the last 15 years and this is one of the best moving experiences I've had. Thiago and his partner had great communication, were great at packing and securing a 16' truck with all our belongings moving out from our 1 bedroom apartment, dedicated and wicked fast. We have many fragile items and heavy equipment such as a upright 17cu freezer, heavy console tables, industrial bread mixer and espresso machine. All items were handled with care and focus and you could tell they were very experienced. When we arrived in Portland after a 12 hour drive and unpacked everything, there was not a single item that was damaged. Props for securing and packing the truck so well. Thank you!! WeDo Movings is hands down the best moving company I've ever worked with. They recently moved my fiancée and me out of a 3rd floor, San Francisco apartment to a unit nearby. The unit we moved from was in an old building with very narrow stairs and tight corners. WeDo Movings came extremely prepared. They padded doorways and protected corners that would be prone to potential damage. On top of that, they padded/protected all of the large, heavy furniture before moving it to their truck. They were communicative with me before starting and throughout the move, ensuring their team knew which items were particularly fragile. Upon arrival to our new apartment, they made sure they brought EVERY item to it's desired room, making it easy for me to handle the setup from there. They even went as far as re-assembling our king-size bed frame, which on my own would have taken a good while. They worked efficiently and professionally. I was recommended this company by my brother, and they were just great. They responded almost instantly, and were able to help me move on just a day's notice. The price was more than fair, and with two movers they were able to get everything done with incredible efficiency. They come prepared with any equipment you could possibly need, and were able to move my electric piano down the stairs with ease (it took me and 3 friends using all our strength to get it up the stairs when I moved in). They dismantled my bedframe and desk for me even when I didn't need to have them moved, and were very kind and professional throughout. I asked them if they could take everything to a storage space for me without my tagging along, as I still had some move-out cleaning to do, and they took care of it with no issues, and even sent me a video of them sliding the extra key back into the storage unit. I got the quote, declined all other quotes, paid the deposit as the owner instructed and scheduled the move for Feb 28th-4 days away. I thought I was all set to go. Then I got the call from the WeDo-Moving telling me that I need to pay cash or pay additional fees after I paid the deposit. I said you are telling me now you need to be paid in cash after I turned all other movers down and booked with you. The owner told me he will call me back in 2 minutes. In a few seconds, they refunded my deposit and texted that they do not have any availability anymore. But they left me without a moving company 4 days away from my moving day. What a service. Look no further than WeDo Moving! We had an excellent experience with Thiago and his team (from booking all the way through the day of the move). All of the pricing and fees are transparent up-front, they confirmed multiple times in the days leading up, and the morning of the move, they showed up on time. Throughout the day, Thiago and his crew were extremely hard working (they were hustling the entire time, but they were very careful with our belongings) and they were very communicative the entire time. Our move ended up being close to 9 hours for a crew of 3 - that's a LONG day! They took a well-deserved lunch break between destination 1 and destination 2, but they clocked out during that time (it was nice for us to have a break and get a quick bite to eat as well).
