I started an estimate online and while I was still in the middle of entering the information I get a call from Joseph asking me everything I was entering into the estimate which I found very pushy. As we were talking over the phone he kept asking me questions about what I entered then he started texting me from another number asking for my address. I told him it's only 2 rooms I needed moving but he kept telling me I should have 3 guys instead of 2 because he didn't want them to get overworked. Well I already know that was a sales tactic to upsell and charge me more because in the estimate it's a $60 charge for each additional guy. He estimated my job for 5 hours so that would be an additional $300. I am glad he said what he did to over the phone BEFORE committing to this moving company. read more

Well, my experience started off a little disappointing because of a delay in arrival time to pick up, which wasn't the driver's fault however going forward everything was spectacular. Avoid Mountain Movers I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves it. The three movers were kind and friendly, but only one seemed experienced. The other two clearly weren't, which made the job drag on far longer than necessary. We were simply moving items from a storage unit into an apartment--no disassembly required. Our previous move with OnTrack Moving, which involved wrapping and taking apart furniture, took only 4 hours. Mountain Movers took 7.5 hours just to unload and assemble two beds and a small dining table. The furniture assembly was sloppy, and we now have to hire someone to fix it. It gets worse: the drawers attached to my bed no longer roll out because they bent the tracks. I now have to replace all four tracks at $95 each. I tried for weeks to work directly with the owner, Joseph, before posting this review. He was dismissive, unhelpful, and clearly hoping I'd give up. Even if their hourly rate seems cheaper, the inefficiency and damage will cost you more in the end. I strongly recommend choosing another company. read more

They used blankets over the wood furniture. They covered al the stairs with a protective covering. There were a few dirty smudges on the wall afterwards which I was able to wash off. No items were damaged or lost. They had a good price, although it is a 3 hour minimum and my job was only 2 hours. I am giving two stars only because the labour guys was extremely kind and friendly. They finished the job on time and with good care. John, Fabian and Carlos are awesome. The booking person named Joseph was extremely unkind and rude, he messed up by sending a small truck and it added extra time to the whole process. We could have finished everything in 7 hours but they charged me 3.5 hours extra because the truck was small and we had to go back and forth to load and unload twice. This is not the customer service you expect when you are moving and it is unfair to charge the customer because of your own negligence. I don't recommend using this service to anyone. Their pricing is unreasonable and unfair. Save your bucks and look for something else. read more

They over charged us what was originally quoted, they broke our dresser, they damaged the walls of our new apartment and they refused to address this for months claiming that they were "short staffed". The manager was not responsive and handled all communication poorly. The company told me that for 2 people it would cost $120 per hour, we said we needed 4 hours and they told me it would cost $480. After 4 hours I was asked for $592!!! I hired Mountain Movers on Wednesday for a move on Friday. My original Wednesday Movers could not open the POD so were delayed in accessing my furniture and were not available the Friday. They arrived promptly and got right to work. They were friendly, efficient and put down floor coverings in my home to protect the floors. Joseph was very respectful, efficient, and honest. One of the best I have worked with during my last 6 moves. His team was very hardworking, adapted well to last minute requests, and provided a slight Discount when one had to leave for another job for a bit. They also did not beg or ask for tip like most movers we have dealt with. The only issue was a lack of communication from their dispatcher regarding how many boxes were needed and such even though pictures were submitted. Credit or debit card purchases require a fee too. Plus we found out about some items we were getting charged for once completed. If I was informed during the process I could have possibly moved said items with my own product or vehicle. I wanted to give 4 out of 5 stars because of that but their quality and attitude is worth the 5 stars especially in this area. read more
