Drunken Noodle
Ingrid C.

This is an interesting Asian fusion restaurant located in a strip mall. At first I was a little confused, it was unclear to me if you ordered at the front, and picked your food near the register, but soon after I realized it was a sit down spot. The waiters are all very friendly, and a menu was bought out quickly. The choices definitely varied! I don't know if I would call it a fusion restaurant... maybe an all inclusive Asian restaurant. They had options such as Taiwanese beef noodle soup, sushi, kimchi fried rice etc... My pad Thai did not taste authentic, but I loved the chewiness of the noodles. I wished it was slightly spicier with a punchier flavor.

Used to like this place but it's gone downhill since. The concept is nice and the first time I went the purple rice and tofu combination was nice but the last few times I've gone the food has been flavorless and too greasy and just plain disappointing. It's a nice spot for dinner or date night but unfortunately the food is not up to par anymore

Came here for dinner after work. I am not sure why this place is not getting more review stars. We ordered a few different dishes and every dish came out excellent - from presentation to taste. Not to mention the service is very good too. The interior looks nice though a little loud.

Edamame and the roots ramen!

The vibe is relaxing and dim once inside, it is usually busy around dinner time sometimes there is a wait but it is very short. The ramen was HUGE I took half of it home & the pork buns were fluffy and delicious. Fantastic service and presentation of food, good portions and definitely worth a trip over.

Decent place for ramen in the Princeton area! My family came here for early dinner at 4pm on Dec. 26, 2023. It was not too busy and our party of 7 could be accommodated. Roots ramen was tasty with pork, soft boiled eggs, and Shanghai greens. The appetizers were nice with the edamame and pork dumplings. My wife enjoyed the drunken noodles dish. Interior of restaurant is quite pleasant and bright. Parking is easy as it's in the same shopping complex as Whole Foods. Service can be a bit slow if it is crowded. But overall this is a good option for pan-Asian food in Princeton!

Reheated left overs: Bowl with purple rice, general chicken, broccoli, and dumplings.

Service was slow, I went with a friend and you'd think you would get sat right away when there's two of you. However, bigger parties were walking in and being sat before us. We noticed they were waiting to give us a smaller table; meanwhile, we got the most food. Food was good! Haven't been in awhile and I do feel it's changed in quality a little bit. Atmosphere is always nice in there in terms of decor. Still a good pick and should try if you like Asian cuisine.

General Roots bowl. Need I say more? Look at the material, you already know it was delicious.

wonton soup

The best option for Asian food and sushi in the area if you eat gluten-free. The menu specifically notes which items are gluten-free or can be prepared gluten-free. The sushi rolls are all of the standard fare. I've tried a number of rolls, both gluten-free and not, and they have all been solid. The quality is great for the price point. Outside of the sushi, I have had the wonton soup which was really good as well.

Nice and clean indoors and felt comfortable- loved the amount of space between each table- but food was not flavorful. Very few vegan options and waiters are not educated on what is vegan/ not. Would not recommend. We ordered this as vegans: - Miso soup: pretty decent, but all taste the same so how could you go wrong - Drunken noodles: super bland and no flavor - Spring rolls: tiny and crispy- i enjoyed these Save yourself a trip and go somewhere with more authentic thai flavors!

Long over due lunch date with hubby in between Thanksgiving food shopping at multiple stores. Yeah, we're particular about what we eat. Despite being super busy with the work lunch crowd we didn't feel neglected or put off. Tasty and nicely presented bowls of goodness and professional and friendly service included. Take your next lunch date here.

Absolutely love Roots! Some of our favorite Asian food in NJ. The place is super cozy and the food is fresh. Some favorites: Vegetarian dumplings (super buttery) Thai basil bowl (really good flavor) Thai coconut bowl (creamy and spicy, love with noodles) They also have a sushi menu and their rolls are pretty good

There's a variety of different refrigerated grab and go dishes such as sushi, kani salad, ramen noodles, dumplings, shumai, chicken, poke bowls, and more. There is a microwave in the shop which is very convenient as well. The shrimp shumai was soggy but flavor wise it was good. A few minutes in an air fryer to get that crisp back and they'd be delicious! Theres also a large assortment of refrigerated drinks like juices, sodas & teas as well. I tried the matcha love sweetened green tea which was very good and refreshing. I just kept going back after eating one thing after the other to try something else. I meant it when I said I became a fan lol. I picked up a mini packaged cheesecake (more like a cheesecake bread than a traditional creamy cheesecake) which was a great dessert to end it on. My first time at Haru Grab & Go was great so of course, I came back for another spicy salmon roll and a kani salad which both tasted good and kept me satisfied. 5/5!

I ordered the Grilled Chicken Wrap, which was excellent, packed with chicken and very filling. I ended up taking half home because it was both generous and delicious. The side salad was also surprisingly good. We ended up returning later for happy hour, which takes place in the room to the right of the hostess stand. I highly recommend stopping by for drinks and bites if you're in the mood for classic cocktails and solid food. Happy hour is first come, first served and limited to the bar only (around 15 seats total). We arrived right when it started, and when we left about 40 minutes later, the bar was about half full. I'd definitely come back to try their dinner or to enjoy their happy hour again.

Tiger Noodles in Princeton delivered a small triumph to my room through Grubhub. I opened the…read morecontainers and felt that quiet sense of hope a hungry person feels when the aromas drift upward and promise a good evening. It is always a pleasure when those promises are kept. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and the portion was enormous. It felt like opening a treasure chest filled with bright colors, roast pork, and warm spice. The seasoning worked perfectly with the sweetness of the pineapple. Nothing was timid. Every bite had a lively balance of heat, sweetness, and savory depth. For the price I paid, it felt almost like a small miracle in a paper box. My wife ordered three sushi rolls and she was happy with all of them. She enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll and the tuna avocado roll. But the spicy tuna roll was the star of her show. She generously offered me a piece. The heat was lively but not overwhelming and the filling tasted clean and fresh. There was no excess rice, no unnecessary filler, just a satisfying ratio of fish to rice that let the tuna shine. It is one of the better spicy tuna rolls I have had in quite some time. In Princeton you can find more refined or experimental Asian restaurants if that is what you want. But you will also find prices that may affect your credit rating. Tiger Noodles stands apart because it offers generous portions, honest flavors, and a price point that feels almost out of place in the neighborhood. For what you receive and for what you pay this is an easy five stars. I threw out the empty containers with the feeling that life had been made a little better for an evening. That is all a person can ask from dinner and Tiger Noodles delivered it.

We also ordered a California Roll- kani, cucumber, avocado, nori, sushi rice, sesame seeds. You can add pickled mango + $1 or avocado for + $1. We added the mango for a twist. It was very good. Next time I come I want to try their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bao Buns-sriracha slaw, house made pickled cucumber, micro cilantro, asian glaze. It looked so good. There was a couple sharing our high top and they ordered several orders of these and they told us it's a must try. I would've ordered more food, but we were going to another place and I didn't want to fill up. The staff is very nice here all very friendly and welcoming. There's no children's menu. This place is a bit small so I don't recommend it for young children and it would be difficult for handicapped unless you're able to get a table outside. We will definitely be back.
