Decent hole in the wall place. Happy with the service received here. Pretty solid sushi rolls and affordable pricing.

Good food, a bit pricey but tasty nonetheless. I've come here several times with friends and have never been disappointed. Staff is friendly and attentive; service is decently quick even if you're eating outside. My favorite dishes from here are probably the stone pot bimbimbap and the seafood pancake; definitely recommend this place if you're in Princeton.

Tucked away off Nassau St. is Nassau Sushi. A Korean restaurant with a Japanese name. Surprises continue when you look at the menu. There are a ton of Korean food options as well as sushi. I am all for that. Service: Awesome! Servers were attentive and quick and even checked with the chef if we could customize things. Food: Yum. I ordered vegetarian, there are a handful of things you can order as a vegetarian - bibimbap, veggies and tofu, noodles, and the stew I got. The veggie tofu stew was warm and had a nice flavor. Next time I'll ask them to put less tofu, there was a lot of tofu in it and it all started to break apart. Ambiance: theres are several tables, minimal design and soft lighting. Not super flashy inside. Good for a date night or large groups. Parking: Street or garage parking

-Korean food is ok, mostly just very bland -standard Princeton prices -staff is so so so sweet -clean, spacious interior with nice decor (there's a cute sushi clock) Rounded up for the location. I haven't tried any of the Japanese food here (other than the yosenabe, which was forgettable, and the shumai, which was frozen), but the Korean food here is decent, other than the bibimbap. The dish I've liked the most is the kimchi jigae. Kimchi jigae ($14) - I like this. I ask for it extra spicy. The rice cakes are really soft and chewy (they're the thin cylindrical type), and although the pork inside isn't the best, I'm happy to eat it given the location in Princeton. I think it's on par with the version at Soonja's. Soon doo boo ($14) - probably the best in the area. Yes it's bland/watery/mild, but the tofu is soft and they're generous with the quantity of seafood - there were at least 6 or 7 clams/oysters in mine, plus octopus and tiny shrimp, albeit slightly rubbery and overcooked. Ohmu rice ($15) - omelette on top of fried rice with ketchup (ask for gochujang instead!) on the side, and they can substitute other meats for the beef. It's kind of bland by itself and there isn't very much meat or vegetable in the fried rice, but if you add gochujang it's pretty good. Stone pot bibimbap with jae yuk bokum ($18) - spicy pork and stir fried onions/peppers/green onions on white rice, along with a small salad (just mixed greens). The pork was sliced very thinly and pretty tasteless, just hot. It became a lot better after adding copious amounts of gochujang. The crispy rice on the bottom was nice though! Not worth the price because the pork is unremarkable. Beef bibimbap ($15) - very little beef, and the rice and vegetables are cold. The vegetables are also kind of bland/limp/clumpy, and I'm not sure that the stone pot version would be much better. The interior is clean, well-lit, and spacious, with nice art on the walls. There's plenty of outside seating and some tables for larger groups inside. The service is warm and friendly. There aren't many servers but they're very attentive and refill the water frequently. I really want to love this place due to their cute emoji usage and a cute interview with the owner on Spoon University (that doesn't seem to be up anymore), but sadly the food isn't quite there.

I came here on a Sunday for lunch in a group of 4 and we were able to be seated immediately. Even though the place is named like a Japanese restaurant, their menu is mostly Korean food plus sushi. I ordered the spicy pork bibimbap in a stone pot and it was both delicious and filling. Strangely, our table was very sticky and the tables around us looked similar. Would come back again!

Awesome service! The chef man was very kind and welcoming and he gave us a simple california roll as service!! Good food good vibe

Bulgogi that tasted more like stir-fly beef. Don't order this

An ok Japanese/Korean place. Ambiance was nice and clean. Place is quiet. Service was slight below average, the waiters were grabbing our plates right before we even finished our food. It seems like they were wanting to kick us out and rushing us which made me feel uncomfortable. Ordered the charlie roll, pretty good. Nice presentation. The kimchi korean pancake was slightly over-cooked. The banchan was ok and it only came with three dishes: kimchi, cucumber, and radish. Usually I get a lot more banchan at other korean places. The kimchi soup was ok, slightly bland. The bulgogi was totally not bulgogi. It tasted like stir-fly beef with vegatable. The chirashi was ok. Overall, food not authentic but tasted ok (but what can you expect from a chinese owned place selling japanese/korean food). Service was slightly below par. Nice ambiance. So ok place, not good or bad.

The food is good, but not for the price. For me to eat lunch it was $21 dollars? I wouldn't be upset if the food was amazing, but it was just ok. I appreciated the miso soup and the banchan that comes with the hot stone pot, but it certainly still doesn't justify the price. I got the tofu stone pot, which was fine after adding the spicy gochujang sauce they provide. I wish they did something with the tofu before putting it in the dish, but it seems like it was just room temp cubed tofu. A change in the prices and I would come back and try something else

Best Soufflé Pancakes ever!…read more Now that I've actually been to Japan I can honestly say I crave these pancakes more than the ones I had overseas! These pancakes are more fluffier and eggier (I think that's a legit word, LOL), and super rich! If you don't like eggs, don't visit because there is a lot of eggy flavor. I've tried the two dominant flavors, Matcha and Strawberry, and I can't tell which one I like better. The light cream topping is better than any butter or maple syrup I've ever had. There is usually one more flavor that they change from time to time as well which I've heard is great. Going on the weekday avoids the wait. The abnormal hours of operation don't make it easy to visit but if you do you'll definitely enjoy. Book the table on Yelp!

J S Foodies is the latter, a small and cheerful outpost of Tokyo imagination where breakfast behaves like theater. I arrived with my boys and my father in law, a man celebrating another year of survival in a universe that has not yet figured out how to improve pancakes. The space is small, and the famous Kiseki pancakes take their time, about twenty to thirty minutes, as if they are being persuaded into existence rather than cooked. These Kiseki pancakes are not pancakes in the American sense. They are soufflé style creations, tall and trembling, as if gravity is only a suggestion. They arrive airy and delicate, with a gentle jiggle that suggests optimism. We ordered accordingly. I had the lemon ricotta, which tasted like sunlight had been filtered through dairy. My oldest chose matcha, green, purple and quietly sophisticated and complex. My youngest went with the original maple, a classic executed so well it made the classics feel new again. All were excellent, the sort of food that makes conversation pause because mouths are busy being grateful. My father in law ordered what I personally considered a cautious breakfast. Regular pancakes with eggs and bacon. A meal that could have been assembled in any roadside diner between here and forever. Yet even this was handled with care. The eggs were perfect, the bacon honest, the pancakes dignified. No irony, no shortcuts. Yes, the prices are a little steep. But this is not a place for routine nourishment. This is a place for occasions, for birthdays, for reminding yourself that breakfast can aspire to something like art. Five stars, because sometimes the world surprises you by getting something exactly right.

The straight thin noodles were al dente. They maintained their texture in the broth, brilliantly. The broth was deep and flavorful. - Pork belly Donburi - 4.5/5 stars The juicy tender pork belly was plentiful, sliced perfectly as their we're not too thick nor paper thin. Their flavor was rich, savory with a balance of sweetness from the soy dashi sauce. Elegantly layered in top of a humongous bowl of seasoned rice, along with a sprinkle of scallions, pickled radishes, and sesame seeds. The photo on their menu does not do it justice. I would have loved a jammy egg to be included to bring the dish to the next level. - Gyoza - 3.5/5 stars 5 pieces of Pan-fried gyoza dumplings with their dumpling sauce. I would prefer them to have been fried a bit more. The balance between their pork and cabbage was even. They were delightfully light in both taste and texture. The service was very good. Both Willie, the owner, and a charming waiter named Sung served us. Sung kept coming over checking in to attest our cups were full, and if we needed anything else.
