Beef Negimaki
Daniel T.

TLDR: Great quality food if you order the right stuff Like many sushi restaurants the menu is extensive including tontkotsus, udons, salads, rice bowls, and others beyond the sushi. That said, at a restaurant like this the challenge is about ordering the right dishes. We ordered the beef negimaki, Midori chips, and sushi/sashimi combo for two. Each of these items we ordered were simple dishes that were carried by the high quality of the ingredients. Beef negimaki was tender and flavorful; midori chips were a surprisingly tasty bite (fish goes better on a Pringle than you'd expect); and the sushi combo was fresh and beautifully presented. The restaurant was comfortable and the wait staff was friendly and patient.

Two orders of Shrimp Tempura Roll. Fresh and hot

We order from Midori a few times a month. During Covid they were very accommodating. The sushi and hibachi are always fresh and they have so much to choose from. When we have a gathering we order a tray which is extremely reasonable. We highly recommend. They also deliver and they delivery person is always so kind. We love that we can order and pay online on their website http://www.midoriprinceton.com/ Thank you Midori.

FREE Edamame with Yelp check-in offer!!

Raising to 4 stars from 3 stars!! Everything my lunch group ate was so fresh, with good portion sizes and very nicely presented!! Delicious sushi I recommend stopping here. You can't beat their lunch special. $13 for a special roll, a regular roll and soup or salad! Impressed and I will be back! There is also a yelp special for a free order of edamame. See my previous review for pictures and more info. Recommended!

Atmosphere - 5 Service - 5 Food - 5 *FREE EDAMAME WITH CHECK-IN* Groupon is great for securing a fantastic deal. I ordered the chicken katsu and was satisfied. The chicken is juicy and the breading is crispy. I also really enjoyed the sauce that came along with the dish; it added a nice layer of tangy sweet and savory. Service was great and I loved the Japanese interior.

Katsudpn: Fried pork cutlet in a bowl. Sweet sauce on it is great.

I've come here twice, both times with Groupons, and if I return, it would only be that way. Midori is a decent place to eat, I just feel like it's lackluster. I always have a bowl of the Katsudon, as I can't see it coming to another table without the smell wafting by and making me want rice and fried pork. The first time I got it, it was a Delicious treat, and very filling. The second time it was drowned in sauce and making it feel more like a soup with a slab of soggy pork on top which I did not appreciate. My hubby had the steak and shrimp hibachi, which was perfect. It's not made in front of you, but the flavors are fantastic. I do think that the price is kind of ridiculous at $21, for an average portion. The place is BYOB, sadly I always forget and there is no liquor store in this plaza. Oh and you do get a free bowl of edamame with your Yelp check in. I guess I just want some umpf....and more shrimp in my hibachi.

His Masa and Midori Spicy Tuna Rolls and my Sweet Potato and Avocado Rolls.

Went here last night for Date Night and to use our Groupon! I'm a loyal customer of the Midori in Highland Park, but it was lovely to go to their Princeton location. This restaurant is open, modern, trendy, and beautiful inside! Its strip mall location is deceiving! There's a cozy little waiting area by the front door. It gets packed during the weekends, so it's always nice to wait somewhere pleasant. We arrived at 6:30PM and were seated promptly at a table for two. Our waiter brought us warmed towelettes to clean our hands before eating. Lovely! My husband ordered their special Masa Roll, Shrimp tempura, asparagus, inside, outside, spicy crab top w. mango, and their Midori Spicy Tuna Roll. I ordered a side of Hibachi noodles, sweet potato roll, and avocado roll. I wish that they had special Vegetarian rolls, but I suppose I could always ask them to create one for me... Like a Siddhartha Roll... Yum! My husband's sushi was colorful and delicious. I enjoyed my rolls as well, but their sweet potato tempura was hard to chew! I didn't taste stale, but it wasn't easy to eat. The noodles tasted fishy; hopefully they weren't cooked near any seafood. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my food. For dessert, we had Red Bean Mochi. At the Midori in Highland Park, we usually get two pieces of mochi, green tea and red bean. We weren't able to do that here. ): I still ate all of the mochi though! I enjoyed my dinner at this Midori. I guess I'll have to check out their Piscataway location. Highland Park is still my favorite!

Phoenix roll, OMG roll, Imperial Dragon roll, Amazing roll - all great!!!
Kristen H.

Midori has been one of my favorite sushi places for over a year now. The fish is super fresh and the staff is super nice. They really know what they are doing here! The special rolls are awesome. It's also a BYOB! The last time I was here we ordered the Phoenix roll (which I think is one of the best), the OMG roll (which was huge and fun), the Imperial Dragon roll (which has a BBQ flavor which is interesting), and the Amazing roll (sweet and tangy from the mango but pairs nicely with the salmon). SO DELICIOUS. You need to try Midori today!

A few minutes in an air fryer to get that crisp back and they'd be delicious! Theres also a large assortment of refrigerated drinks like juices, sodas & teas as well. I tried the matcha love sweetened green tea which was very good and refreshing. I just kept going back after eating one thing after the other to try something else. I meant it when I said I became a fan lol. I picked up a mini packaged cheesecake (more like a cheesecake bread than a traditional creamy cheesecake) which was a great dessert to end it on. My first time at Haru Grab & Go was great so of course, I came back for another spicy salmon roll and a kani salad which both tasted good and kept me satisfied. 5/5!

I highly recommend stopping by for drinks and bites if you're in the mood for classic cocktails and solid food. Happy hour is first come, first served and limited to the bar only (around 15 seats total). We arrived right when it started, and when we left about 40 minutes later, the bar was about half full. I'd definitely come back to try their dinner or to enjoy their happy hour again.

Tiger Noodles in Princeton delivered a small triumph to my room through Grubhub. I opened the…read morecontainers and felt that quiet sense of hope a hungry person feels when the aromas drift upward and promise a good evening. It is always a pleasure when those promises are kept. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and the portion was enormous. It felt like opening a treasure chest filled with bright colors, roast pork, and warm spice. The seasoning worked perfectly with the sweetness of the pineapple. Nothing was timid. Every bite had a lively balance of heat, sweetness, and savory depth. For the price I paid, it felt almost like a small miracle in a paper box. My wife ordered three sushi rolls and she was happy with all of them. She enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll and the tuna avocado roll. But the spicy tuna roll was the star of her show. She generously offered me a piece. The heat was lively but not overwhelming and the filling tasted clean and fresh. There was no excess rice, no unnecessary filler, just a satisfying ratio of fish to rice that let the tuna shine. It is one of the better spicy tuna rolls I have had in quite some time. In Princeton you can find more refined or experimental Asian restaurants if that is what you want. But you will also find prices that may affect your credit rating. Tiger Noodles stands apart because it offers generous portions, honest flavors, and a price point that feels almost out of place in the neighborhood. For what you receive and for what you pay this is an easy five stars. I threw out the empty containers with the feeling that life had been made a little better for an evening. That is all a person can ask from dinner and Tiger Noodles delivered it.

There was a couple sharing our high top and they ordered several orders of these and they told us it's a must try. I would've ordered more food, but we were going to another place and I didn't want to fill up. The staff is very nice here all very friendly and welcoming. There's no children's menu. This place is a bit small so I don't recommend it for young children and it would be difficult for handicapped unless you're able to get a table outside. We will definitely be back.

As we were leaving I reconfirmed it with the person at the host's desk ( seemed to be the manager) , who apologized and said maybe our waiter missed it . But it was a noticeable miss that cannot be overlooked, as that was the purpose of our dinner here. End of the meal, our family's spirits fell flat, but we still sang and celebrated sans the petty candle. Now on to the food and drinks... Mocktails were delicious, colorful, and eye-catching . We tried all 3 on the menu and loved it. Appetizers galore filled our table ... Bang Bang cauliflower had a medley of sweet & sour flavors. Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices . Salmon with risotto , Halibut & Branzino cooked to perfection served with flavorful sides. For dessert, it was the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cup . Peanut butter cup was a dense donut texture with candied peanuts We hoped that at least one of the desserts would be served with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday but they missed it and didn't care enough despite letting them know when marking the reservation. I loved everything about the experience at Agricola, but their lack of attention to detail stuck out like a sore thumb , as the poor communication between their front desk and wait staff dampens the guests' experience , making it a not-so-great finish .
