Today my faith was restored in the good and kindness that still thrives among us. Feels strange to say that about this type of service I suppose, but as the main drain in the front of our house was threatening to destroy the next few days perhaps more... with disgusting sewage and waste from aging pipes coming through to our bathrooms and busting through the concrete, his kindness was so comforting and I knew he was here to help my family. While I was busy multitasking ...feeling sorry for myself, taking client calls and ordering dinner, Oscar got straight to work and talked me through each step of the process. Okay, so Harry at Rooter GUARD totally saved us. We had a crazy situation. Long story short - BY FAR the best price & BY FAR the best service. Long story: We had a different company (Rooter Man) come over to quote too, and they were nice, and gave us *initially* a very slightly lower quote. But that was a trick! They did a little work & then with all of our pipes open, they asked for literally 5x the original quote! From $2,850 to $12,500! We kind of didn't have a choice. We were STUCK. Later I negotiated them down to $7,500 - so they were just predatory. I 100% didn't want to deal with them anymore. Enter scene: Harry & Rooter GUARD! Even though we got a different plumber initially, Harry & Rooter GUARD came over & finished the half-done job of the other guys for just $4k. I just wish I went with Harry from the beginning! It would have saved us a TON of money & time & headache! They were fast, professional, quality, everything. The best things are: 1. RESPONSIVENESS - there immediately & fast - literally replumbed our entire drainage system for our house in less than a day? Unbelievable. 2. GREAT PRICE - searching on ChatGPT for how much the job *should* cost i the area - Harry gave me like 75% of the LOWBALL price. Absolutely incredible! 3. FLEXIBILITY - They will work with you. We have been out of work and Harry was wiling to be a little flexible on price, which helped a LOT. 4. COMMUNICATION - They showed me pictures & videos of everything, including scoping my pipes so I could see the exact issue. They took the time & the technology to help me understand what was happening & the tradeoffs. 5. SPEED - They were there IMMEDIATELY. & solved the issue - an INCREDIBLE AMOUNT of work - literally replumbing the whole house - in pretty much a day!! WOW. In general, incredible service, incredible value. My 90-year-old house has a completely new drain system - 100% new end to end! Previously wrought iron pipes would crumble when you touched them! I recently had an unfortunate experience with Rooter Gyard, and I feel compelled to share it here on Yelp to help others make informed decisions. I initially contacted Rooter Guard at 818-781-7622 to book an appointment for outdoor drain cleaning, scheduled between 11 am and 1 pm. Unfortunately, this appointment turned out to be nothing short of a disappointment. Firstly, there was a significant delay in their arrival. By 3 pm, their team had still not shown up, so I decided to give them a call to inquire about the delay. To my surprise, I was told that a second telephone confirmation was required, a detail that had never been mentioned when I initially made the appointment. This lack of communication on their part was frustrating. Even more frustrating was the fact that because I had called them outside of the originally scheduled appointment window, they claimed they couldn't perform the service. This left me without the drain cleaning service I had been looking forward to. What's particularly irksome is that I had set aside half of my Saturday to accommodate this appointment, only to have it go unfulfilled due to a lack of transparency on their end. Customers should be informed of all service conditions upfront, and this oversight has resulted in a significant inconvenience and a complete waste of my time. I strongly urge Rooter Guard to improve its communication and service policies to prevent such issues in the future. My very elderly uncle's sink backed up. When my parents and I went to help him out (in South Gate), we saw immediately it was not a simple solution and needed to call a plumber. Thank goodness for Google bringing up Rooter Guard and their 24 hour emergency services! They were fantastic!! It was a holiday weekend, so they were busy; but they still managed to find a time slot to help us. Fernando was so professional, courteous, and thorough. He called for "back-up" when he saw the job was worse than we had anticipated and even his senior guy came out. It turned out that my uncle's house (built in 1939) would need to be re-piped. They accommodated our tight schedule and my uncle's needs. They came out early the next day and repiped the house, fixed the kitchen drains, ensured the garbage disposal was working, and did it all in one day!! Throughout the entire process, Fernando and his team were extremely professional, courteous, and clean! He talked me through every step of the process, let me know when they hit roadblocks, and was above board every single step of the way. I have never known plumbers could be so clean and so respectful. My mom and I had very, very little clean-up to do after they left. It was unbelievable. The price was very competitive too, considering the nature and urgency of the job. I am so very, very thankful for Rooter Guard and for Fernando especially. Hi everyone who lives around Lakewood, Cerritos,Long Beach, Downey, Bellflower, or any where.. We had some plumbing problems and we called out a few plumbers before we found someone who would even agree to do the job. Rooter plumbing wouldn't even take the time to look at it said NO right away when he came into the house. And so we called another one and they said he couldn't do it either. He ran a snake from the roof and then ran a camera and found we had a serious problem the roots from the tree's next door had grown through our plumbing so he replaced everything. He worked his ass off for 5 day's straight until the he got it done with the help of other men. Wow! Did I ever think I'd be writing a glowing review about a plumbing company that came out to fix a blocked shower drain but ended up repiping half our house? Nope...but: Our home is over 70 years old. After attempts with a snake, a hydroblaster and a camera, it was determined that the blockage that wouldn't budge was a result of build up in the old cast iron pipes (photos looked like the pipes were filled with concrete!), and after 10 feet of piping under the house was fixed, it wasn't possible to reconnect to the old pipes because they were so corroded and breaking so clearly it was time to repipe (newer part of the house was fine..) Vic was just wonderful. Arrived on time Saturday, did the diagnostics, Mike (supervisor) came that afternoon. They conferred with us, took pictures, we watched the camera hit the blockage. They brought a team Sunday morning, by Wednesday afternoon everything was working--not just the shower but the tub that had been draining slowly, the toilets that had become a little erratic too. The best was how easy it was to work with them. They were informative, extremely nice, got us very very good pricing, made absolutely certain we understood what was happening every step of the way. Our sewer line from our bathrooms (toilets , shower and sink ), which had been giving us problems for some time, completely plugged on a Sunday morning (when else). We were in a panic since we had guests in our single family (1962 ) home. We checked Yelp since the last plumber did not do a good job and picked Rooter Guard based on the very good Yelp reviews. The first crew confirmed the tree roots were blocking the sewer line and with the use of a snake opened the sewer line enough to get the toilets working again. Then Ed, the camera man, came to the house and clearly showed us the roots could not be cut as they were too thick. We had resisted putting in a new sewer line based mainly one, the length of time (2days) we would be without water or use of the toilets and second, cost. Shay gave us a quote that replaced the sewer line with only 3 hours of downtime and at about half the previous quote. He also included a new garbage disposal. We agreed to the price and they started the project in a few days. They also installed a 2 way cleanout so we could see, for the first time, the sewer line into the house as well as the sewer line to the street. The job was completed on time and at the quoted price and downtime and everything is working as expected. read more

My toilets and tubs were backing up. I called several rooter services who quoted my high prices and long waits. Rooter Guard quoted the lowest price and they were at my house within an hour. Erik showed up and quickly started snaking the drain. He told me what I already knew, roots at the spot where my PVC line connected to the old clay city sewer pipe. He called in his hydro jet and camera team and they were here in about a half an hour, not half a day. They jetted the line and ran the camera in and we could clearly see how bad the roots were. They recommended sleeving the line. Something we had been quoted to do 4 years ago. They offered us a good price to start right away. We took our chances but a week later the flow stopped again. We called them back and they honored their quote and showed up and began work right away. (not days later) Erik and his partner Junior were friendly and did high quality work. My family and I been using same plumbing service for over 15 yrs. Past 2 yrs been having major tree root problems all they did was come out and snake for under 10 minutes with minimum results. Just said think you have a broken pipe. I was upset and decided to get second opinion. Did research and called Rooter Guard 24hr Plumbing. They sent out Andres who snaked for long time showed me there was a blockage, right away he called a guy who put a camera down the pipes. OMG!!!! Not only was a broken pipe but was biggest tree root attached to the broken pipe! They replaced the broken pipe then the camera again. Many huge tree roots and many broken pieces of pipes all the way to the main city line. Andres called his crew and came up with the fastest and most cost effective way to fix this right. My crew consisted of Johnnie, Adam and Michael who was the supervisor. I could go on about all three of them for pages. My job was placing a liner into my sewer line as it was cracked and loaded with roots. It was a big job. This company employs pros. Not only did Mike do the diagnostic but he was hands on checking daily. Johnny the on site supervisor was not only pleasant but a hard worker, Adam was the same, pleasant and also a very hard worker. We contacted Rooter Guard as we had a slab leak under the house and garage few days ago. We noticed cold water facet at our ground floor was running warm water during each time we turned on and also find out the reason. It looked like the hot water pipe under the ground started leaking and formed a tiny hot water pound underground warmed up the cold water. We shut only warm water and kept the cold water open to maintain basic living without hot water. Rooter Guard was able to send a plumber named Jose. Jose and his crew returned next morning after diagnosing the problem, to fix it. They had all their equipment. They rerouted the leak underground pipelines with their new copper and PEX line inside the drywall. They worked really hard and efficient. Great team, can't recommend more. read more

I've only written one other yelp review in 11 years. I updated my account just to be able to log in. I did it because of the outstanding service I received from Rooter Guard and particularly from Erik. I discovered a leak in my pool gas heating line - after the invitations for my daughter's pool birthday party had been sent out. With just a few days to do a major repair, Erik and his team went out of their way to complete the job, by working extra hours And coordinating with the gas company. They even helped with some things beyond the scope of the project. THEY LITERALLY PREVENTED ME FROM HAVING TO LOOK MY DAUGHTER IN THE EYES AND TELL HER WE HAD TO CANCEL HER BIRTHDAY PARTY. Recently we had an issue with one of the toilets in the house so we contacted Rooter Guard in Van Nuys. While Elias and Sam from Rooter Guard were replacing the sewer line to the toilet, they found a crack while tying into the main cast iron sewer line. Because the main sewer line plumbing was so old, we decided to replace the main sewer line up to the clay pipe. Since our home was built in the 1920's we also needed a clean out valve put in. Elias and Sam completed the job within two days, allowing for a temporary fix the first night so we could have restroom/shower facilities. He explained every question we had and had no problem helping us understand exactly what was going on. I usually have booties for the house but I ran out and he remembered that I mentioned them and went and got some for when he was working on everything! We had our whole plumbing system plugged up ( sinks, toilets, bath tubs). Eduardo came in within an hour it was an emergency. He evaluated the problem clay pipes were all broken, fixed all the plumbing with sewer replacement, replaced pipes under the house which were installed incorrect before from other plumbers. Used trench less pipe busting method. Best plumber in 20 years. Eduardo is the best. He knows what he is doing. They even fixed the sprinkler pipes they had to cut and redid all the landscaping they had to change with the 2 wholes they had to dig for the pipe replacement in our front yard.
