Hard Hat relined our sewer lateral, the pipe running from the house out to the street, and the whole thing went really well. From the first quote, they were on top of it. Communication was solid the whole way through. They walked me through the prep work, answered all my questions about how the lining actually works, and kept me in the loop at every step. My Father started a plumbing company in the Boston, MA area in 1960. I worked for that company for 8 years and held a Journeyman's license in the state of Massachusetts, Should you not want to read the story that follows, go no further. Hard Hat Router is as good as it gets. Call them and you will be taken care of quickly, professionally and for a reasonable price. We had a recurring issue with stoppages in our main drain. Initially the problem was close to the sewer. Hard Hat Rooter sent a crew and cleared the problem swiftly and for a reasonable price. Then came a recurring problem. I called and within about an hour, one of their technicians, Michael came with a drain snake that was capable of getting through the stoppage to get us up and running again. Abut 6 months later the problem was back. I called and requested Michael once again. Michael called and told me when he would be available, about 90 minutes later. He ran the sewer rod through once again, but this time since the problem recurred he suggested that we should take a look and see what was causing the problem. The video detected a significant amount of roots that the wire could not eliminate. Luckily, the line was located in a place that was somewhat accessible. They had to dig up the line and physically remove the stoppage. The next day Michael came early in the day with two additional men. They spent the next 6 hours excavating and finally discovered the problem. A far less capable company had completely re-landscaped our property about 20 years ago. They actually BURIED a cleanout* with a soft rubber cap. I had NO idea that it was there. Compounding the problem there was also a slow leak in the irrigation plumbing in that same area which attracted the roots. The roots grew right through the cap and propagated. HHR removed the cover and pulled put a small tree from inside the sewer lateral. Then they used a hand wire to snag the remaining roots that were broken off further down the line. Lastly they ran video all the way to the main to ensure the line was completely clear. Once again, Hard Hat Rooter deserves all the 5 star ratings. I initially found Hard Hat and its great reviews about a year after I moved into my new home when I found that there was water draining out from under the house into the driveway. As always, I opened my trusty Yelp app. Once I found Hard Hat, it was easy to fill out the forms and get a response from the office right away for an appointment. Turns out -- and this had been an ongoing issue on my street -- that 100-year old tree roots were blocking the pipes! With negotiations and coupons from the website, Hard Hat's team fixed the problem after a couple of days. That was years ago and have been fine since. A year after that with some odor in the house, I contacted Hard Hat through the app again. Turns out there was leaking under the house but HH quickly nipped that in the bud. My landlord and I appreciated seeing what happened under there through their scope! Communicative and efficient - we appreciated that. This year, there was a blockage in the wall that was connected to the kitchen sink. Landlord and boyfriend -- who are handy -- tried to help, but lacked the tools to fix it. Again, I pulled out Yelp, filled out the online form RE: the issue and even uploaded a picture. The office got back to me right away with an appointment for a week later (and had me on a wait list for cancellations). Fast forward a week and Michael came and was able to quickly open the blockage and some minor issues with the faucet from the inside. He was communicative yet warm with his customer service skills which my landlord and I appreciated! I also appreciated that he was able to text me his ETA being in traffic on a Monday morning! Hard Hat Plumbing came through when we needed help fast. What started as a small DIY repair turned into a full water line replacement after a cracked pipe and some broken concrete revealed the whole line from the street to the house was shot. We had already been without water for two days, with no toilets, no showers, and no running water, so time was not on our side. They answered the phone immediately and had a tech, Aram, at our door in under an hour. Total pro. He assessed the situation, explained the scope clearly, and got right to work. From start to finish, the job took about 3 to 3.5 hours. They cut an 18 by 1 foot strip of asphalt, trenched roughly 2 feet down, ran 20 to 25 feet of copper, and installed a new pressure valve, shut-off, regulator, and hose bib. The work was clean, efficient, and clearly done with care as well as fairly priced. It's only been a few hours since they wrapped up, but everything looks solid and functions perfectly. Third review I'm leaving for Hard Hat Plumbing - they always go above and beyond which is why I always call them back when I have issues! Today we were washing dishes and found water spraying everywhere under the sink. Called Hard Hat immediately, and Michael showed up promptly within an hour. Michael is absolutely the best - we had several small things we wanted fixed in addition to the water spraying issue and he went above and beyond to fix them for us. He is friendly and kept us updated of his progress. We were totally comfortable having him in our home! First, he checked out the pipes under the sink, even took apart the garbage disposal to make sure it wasn't the issue. Turns out the pipes under the sink were super old and leaky so he went to Home Depot and got the parts to replace them. Then, he installed a new faucet for us. We had been wanting to install a new faucet and already had one picked out so we asked him to do it today as well. Michael really goes above and beyond - not only did he install the faucet, he also consulted us on positioning of the handle, and cleaned up some of the calcification on the counter before installing it. Lastly, they don't really fix dishwashers but our dishwasher leaks through the aerator so we asked him if he'd take a look. He quickly diagnosed the issue (a cap blocking the dishwasher drain) and removed it for us free of charge. Then, he even helped us put some WD 40 on the squeaky hinges. It really made our day to get such quality plumbing work done by Michael at an affordable price. Now we can continue to use our kitchen sink free of worry. Thank you Michael! I called them for help over a broken shower valve at 5 AM, and they worked with me to have it fixed and ready by 1:30 PM. Where do I start? Michael just left our house and to be honest he was beyond fantastic. We originally had him come out to do an estimate for our condo. He was polite and friendly and told us what he recommended we do. We later reached out to get the work scheduled and I could not talk more about how professional he is. This guy is transparent and honest. He truly cares about what he does and makes sure his customers are beyond satisfied. We had an issue with turning off water since HOA did not exactly where the switch was. I felt terrible but Michael stayed patient, spoke with the previous plumbers on the phone to find the solution.
