We called George last Tuesday after our bathroom drain became completely clogged, and he was able to come out that same day. He did a thorough inspection, unclogged the drain, and then used his camera system to show us the extensive damage and erosion in our pipes due to their age. He took the time to explain what was going on and let us know that we would ultimately need to have the pipes replaced. George gave us a very fair and honest quote and came back that Friday to start the work. It ended up being a pretty big job, but George and his team were awesome throughout the entire process. They were friendly, professional, fast, and efficient. They started Friday and had everything completed by Saturday afternoon, which we really appreciated. We're extremely happy with the work they did and would absolutely recommend George to anyone looking for a reliable and honest plumber. We would definitely use him again if we ever needed to--although hopefully we won't have to anytime soon since he and his team did such an awesome job repairing our pipes! read more

We were pretty much getting scammed by another plumbing company, and when I started getting quotes the owner of Drain Defender came out and personally saved us. Even though I already paid the other company to clear and jet my main line we were still stuck with tree roots and standing water. He and another company that were quoting couldn't even get their cameras through! The owner took the time to clear it out temporarily on good faith so we wouldn't be in real trouble very soon. You see, we knew when we bought our house the old clay pipe was collapsing at one joint and it was finally time to fix it. Drain Defender gave us a very reasonable estimate and did an amazing job sleeving and repairing our line. I would and will recommend them to anyone. read more

I had an outstanding experience with The Drain Defender! They responded quickly, arrived on time, and had my clogged drain cleared in no time. The technician was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what caused the issue and how to help prevent it in the future. Their pricing was fair, there were no surprise charges, and they left the work area spotless when they were finished. It's hard to find contractors who are this honest, reliable, and committed to quality service. If you're looking for a plumber who shows up when they say they will and gets the job done right the first time, I highly recommend The Drain Defender. I'll definitely be calling them again for any future plumbing needs! read more

Excellent work. Professional and identified issues immediately. Worked on main drain collapsing pipes and created a waste outlet line for us that my house didn't have. Called Jorge first thing in the morning Monday after Easter due to a blocked branch line in our kitchen, and his son Jordan had arrived in no time a couple hours later, quick, tidy, and professional in his assessment, and saw the solution through. Can't recommend enough. The Drain Defender team is a friendly, dependable high integrity family outfit. Despite having a stubborn sediment blockage, Jordan was exhaustive in his method to first snake the drain, then assess the conditions for jetting. Although the job turned out to be extremely difficult to a embedded slab line, and no easy access cleanout, Jordan was able to coordinate an emergency cleanout install, patch, and jet of the situation and was able to clear a line blockage which was probably years in the making same-day. Thank you again Jorge and Jordan--best rooters and plumbers in the 818. read more

George, his son Jordan, and his team at the Drain Defender did an outstanding job replacing our main sewer line and the cast iron drains underneath our house. From the very beginning, George was extremely communicative and thorough. When he provided the estimate, he took the time to fully explain the scope of the work and even crawled through our crawl space himself to make sure he understood the entirety of the job and any potential issues that could arise. He spent nearly two hours performing a detailed inspection of our drains under the house and in the front yard, including running a camera through the lines to assess their condition and the best way to fix our problems. His estimate was fair and came in line with other estimates we got. The job took around 3 days to complete and George was onsite the whole time, working diligently with his team. George really enjoys what he does and takes pride in his work and amazing customer service. I would highly recommend the Drain Defender for any plumbing job, big or small. read more

George was amazing at the speed to respond and helped us the very next day. ( we called on a Sunday and he came on Monday first session at 9:00) He is amazing, quickly fixed our problem due to the request and easy to talk to. I don't feel intimidated with the tech that I am not familiar with. He is uber honest. Just like the most helpful neighbor! His price is unbeatable too. I will recommend him to anyone I know who need a plumber. read more

We had a full-on sewer line catastrophe, and Jordan saved us. We called him in a panic for a hydro-jet emergency, and he showed up right away. Turns out, the whole sewer line had collapsed. He walked us through everything--tried to avoid a full replacement--but yeah, we needed one. The terrain was brutal, and past plumbers made a mess, but Jordan powered through. He got it done in a week, made sure we understood the whole deal, gave us a fair price, and said this new line should last about 150 years. We'll check back in a century, right? Seriously--five stars, and I'd call him again, no question. read more

Called George on a Monday afternoon to get a second opinion on some plumbing needs under the crawlspace. He was out within an hour, assessed my problem and gave me a quote that came in way under what the other company charged. The work began the next day! On top of that, he fixed multiple small things without any extra charge, such as corroded valves, poorly done pipe straps, etc. This company takes a lot of pride in their work and it showed in every aspect. George is now our go-to guy for all our plumbing needs! read more

Drain Defender Plumbing provided outstanding service. The team was incredibly polite, professional, and courteous from start to finish. Their pricing was very reasonable--about one‑quarter of what another company quoted me. They left my home cleaner than it was before they arrived, and their work was reliable, fast, and completely trustworthy. I highly recommend Drain Defender Plumbing to anyone looking for quality service and honest professionals. read more

Super highly recommended! Was offered same day service but it was already late, 9pm. Came next day explained what was wrong and the service needed. Kept their contact number for future reference. Quoted 3x their price from another company and I accepted it but did not even show up while they knew we really needed help. read more

Called the company today for a bath tub clog. They were able to send someone out the same day and accommodated an evening appointment. George was very helpful. Highly recommend. Had a few issues trying to solve the clog and he managed to find it. Thank you !

Great service! Supper fast response. They were at my place within 30 minutes. Highly recommended

George came on a Sunday, assessed the job and helped us out. The job was more than expected but we were put at ease by the teams keeping us abreast at what they were doing. The price was better than expected so we were able to include the services of another company for another job that was recommended by George. It was a smooth experience all toll. Yes, would use them again and plan to when plumbing maintenance is scheduled. Thank You guys! read more

I'm so glad to have found George! He was so pleasant to work with from beginning to end. I called on a Thursday night about a clogged tub drain and he was at our house by midday Friday for the fix. I was at work during his visit and he made sure to keep me in the loop, which was very much appreciated! He was refreshingly honest and fair, so it's safe to say he will be our first call if we ever need plumbing help in the future! Thank you again, George! read more

I own a multifamily on a hill and was just about to rent my downstairs unit when one day I came into a river of water coming out of the toilet. I called the drain defender that evening and they promised they could be their next day and true to their word Jordan showed up. As soon as he removed one of the toilets we can see tree roots coming up which is one of a homeowners worst nightmare - broken pipes which means a very expensive repair. Jordan took into account that I had just remodeled this unit and he didn't want to drill through the floor so he offered an alternative solution - digging and going under the slab. I thought his price was fair so I agreed and I appreciated they wouldn't destroy the newly remodeled unit. They started the next day and I had a worst case scenario, there were cracked pipes in both of the units lines. Jordan gave me quotes for doing pipe relining for both lines which again I thought his pricing was fair for the enormous amount of work they ended up doing, nearly spending a week at my property. In the end I had relined pipes and they replaced some sections. Unlike other contractors, Jordan's crew even took the time to clean up their work site and inside the unit. Would highly recommend them to everyone else who is looking for a reliable and trustworthy plumbing company. read more

I cannot say enough good things about George! He came out the same day, even after dark, to thoroughly inspect every pipe under my house when I was worried about a possible leak. He ran water through everything, checked all the way to the sewer line, and patiently explained what he was doing. Not only did he put my mind completely at ease by confirming there were no leaks, but he went above and beyond by personally calling a trusted pest control professional for me and helping get that set up on the spot. Before leaving, he even fixed a toilet that wouldn't stop running, something I had already tried to repair myself, and refused to take any payment, simply wishing me a Merry Christmas. Professional, generous, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. It's rare to find someone this trustworthy. Highly, highly recommend. read more

George, the owner of the Drain Defender, was amazing! I found his company after searching Yelp and seeing the great reviews. We needed the mainline snaked after everything in the entire house backed up. He quoted me a very reasonable price and was here within 45 min on a Friday night! He was personable, extremely professional and very knowledgeable. After about 30 minutes and struggling with some big tree roots, leading to the mainline, everything was draining normally again!! I would definitely recommend The Drain Defender to anyone in need of drain or plumbing issue. Thanks again, George!!! read more

I can not even begin to tell you how great my experience was with George. We had a horrible smell coming from under our kitchen sink and called as many different plumbers as we could find. 95% of them wanted money up front just to come out to assess the problem. That narrowed our list significantly and left us with two. The first company barely even looked under our sink and diagnosed our problem as old pipes that needed replacing. But as a "budget" option, he said he could use a hydrojet to clean the pipes and fix the smell - which apparently cost $1500. George was next up to bat. He came in, noticed we were a shoes-off household and immediately kicked his boots off (we told him he could absolutely leave them on, but he insisted). Then he crawled under our sink to figure out what was happening. While he was under there, he tightened a few things that were apparently too loose and came out asking to see the outside of the house. Out he went, and when he came back in he told us that the smell was not coming from the plumbing. I asked him if he could just snake the drain anyway (the STINK, you guys) - here's what he said "I can if you want, sure, but I don't feel right charging you for something that's not going to fix your problem. The smell isn't coming from the pipes. I think something got in your wall and died - but it isn't from the plumbing. I don't want to charge you for something you don't need." AFTER A $1500 HYDROJET DIAGNOSIS! He told us to pour bleach or vinegar and baking soda in the pipes (which, in retrospect was 100% said to make me feel better and wasn't going to fix the stink because...people...it was a dead animal in the wall!!) and said he'd be on his way. NO CHARGE WHATSOEVER. $0. When I insisted, he said "I didn't do anything (he sure did - tightening the pipes, for one!), there's nothing to charge for!" So I gave him a tip and thanked him profusely. On his way out the door, my mind running to all the rooms in my house to see if there was anything he could do that I COULD pay him for, I remembered the toilet in my son's bathroom had been running. He headed into the bathroom, diagnosed the problem within seconds, ran to his truck for a part and replaced it - all within 10 minutes. "Okay! NOW what do I owe you??" "Nothing. What you gave me already more than covers what I did here. We're good". What in the world... People - call this company immediately if you have an issue with anything. ANYTHING. George is as good, and honest, as they come. THANK YOU DRAIN DEFENDERS!!! read more
