My shower had been clogged a couple days, but suddenly today, the water started to rise and it was on the verge to leak into the entire bathroom. I went to Yelp and immediately reached out to several businesses. Richard at YLP Plumbing was quick to respond and willing to come after hours to fix it. Not only did he show up about 90 minutes after I spoke with him, but he was honest and fair with his quote, very communicative, and showed up when said he would. He was in and out in less than 15 minutes - he took care of the problem and didn't try to upsell anything. Has the critical characteristics you want in a plumber when you need them most * Super rapid response - Richard picks up immediately and has been there within 24 hours of my need * Solutions oriented - Doesn't default to some generic solution or upsell - works to solve the problem at hand as efficient as possible * Fair priced - will tell you what makes the most sense, when something isn't worth it, and provides a fair price When I had an emergency leak, Richard was out quickly and solved the problem when other plumbers refused to get themselves wet in my crawlspace. When I had a major clog in a pipe, richard found a solution when other folks were suggested solutions that either would permanently disfigure the facade of my house or try to sell me something that was dangerous for my pipes. I'd recommend YLP to anyone looking for a trustworthy service provider. read more

The plumber arrived very promptly after we called him. They were efficient, competent and pleasant. The cost of their services was very reasonable. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. I had a clogged toilet on the second floor of my home. I've had other plumbers come to solve the problem in the past only to have it reappear again and again. Richard, the owner of YLP Plumbing, knew exactly what the problem was. It involved following the pipe to the first floor and under the house. He had to make extensive repairs in the piping under the house as well as bringing a router to clean the pipes, inspecting the pipes with a camera, noticing cracks in the pipes and bringing a special tool to epoxy and seal the pipes for a permanent fix. He did all of this without breaking into my walls and floors. If he had not made this major repair at this time, I would have had major damage later on with leaking pipes and structural damage. I also discussed other minor plumbing problems in the house, and he impressed me with his knowledge of the cause of the problems and how to fix them. Once again, I did have other plumbers come to solve these minor problems in the past only to have them reoccur. I could not speak more highly of Richard with his knowledge and trying to fix problems efficiently with minimal cost and time. read more

After being burned by service professionals in the past, I'm always a little cautious when hiring someone new. But YLP Plumbing -- and especially their owner, Richard -- has completely earned my trust. We've hired Richard and his team for multiple projects, and every time I'm impressed by their reliability, professionalism, and follow-through. Their pricing is fair and transparent, and if any issues come up after the work is done, they follow up right away. They're not just dependable -- they're genuinely a pleasure to work with. We've found our go-to plumber for any future projects. read more

Reached out through Yelp for a simple estimate on a Moen Flo shutoff installation. I clearly stated I only needed a price range, not an in-person visit. The company repeatedly asked for my full name, address, and email before providing any estimate and kept pushing for a site visit. Asking for that much personal information just for a quote is a red flag--especially in this day and age of home burglaries and identity theft. I felt uncomfortable with the pressure and the refusal to provide even a rough estimate through Yelp, so I declined the service. read more

I called and requested plumbing service from YLP and were given estimates of cost and timing of service. Richard arrived in less than an hour and fixed our plumbing issue very professionally. Richard is great to work with; Professional, skilled and trustworthy. The price was in line with the estimate plus a nice discount. I would highly recommend YLP Plumbing. read more

Kitchen sink was backing up and draining slow. Rich happened to be in the neighborhood and informed me that he was finishing up a job close by and could come take a look...same day appointment, YES!!! Upon inspection, he discovered a section of drain pipe that was sagging under the house. He explained the problem, proposed the solution, and gave a reasonable price for the work, especially thinking that it was a simple rooter job. Rich and his assistant were very polite, respectful and ready to get the job done. They replaced a section of the drain pipe and made sure everything was up to code. I love that he brought my wife and I to review his scope of work when completed and made sure we didn't have any questions. Rich saved the day. Thanks again YLP Plumbing!!!!! I've had to call Richard and his crew twice now and each time he has been a pleasure to deal with both times. He has been accessible via text and/or phone each time and takes the time to listen to the issues you're having, access the situation, and make a thought out game plan. From the very beginning when scheduling your appointment Richard has gone above and beyond to accommodate my schedule and he shows up when he says he will. Both times he's actually been a little early. While at my residence he's been more than courteous in keeping the space as clean as possible and you can just tell Richard and his crew know what they are doing. I appreciate the good working relationship he has with his guys. If you're in need of any plumbing needs I would not hesitate to give YLP a call. You'll be in good hands. read more

After 6 years, my water heater decided to stop working. How wonderful, right in time for Christmas. So I reached out to a few plumbers and YLP was one of them. Richard came in with the second to lowest price. After speaking with Richard, I knew I made the right decision. I decided to go with a tankless water heater. He was extremely patient with me and my numerous questions. Within an hour of my decision, he had his crew here with the new tankless unit ready to go! I couldn't believe it! The installation and disposal took them about 2-1/2 hours. Before the end of the day we had hot water! I couldn't be more thankful for hiring Richard and his team. I now have some space on the side of the house to store my garden tools! read more

Super responsive, kind, and took care of our problem quickly. Richard worked to move their schedule around to get to me, and when he couldn't get a technician available, he came out himself and diagnosed the water heater issue I was having. Super fast and very professional when responding to request. Richard and his assistant were very knowledgable and helpful in suggesting the best solution for our need (water softener installation.) He looked at our situation, asked about our needs, gave multiple suggestions for options of what type of unit to get as well as it's best place for install. We originally had one installed at this property, but had it removed 10+ years ago. We thought he would just reconnect the new one, but he offered a better place that could service the entire house even better! His price wasn't the cheapest, but felt like we were getting the best overall. We have decided to use Richard (YLP) for our install and I will continue to update once the job has been completed. The install went wonderfully. He and his crew were prompt did a wonderful job and helped explain what they had done. Can't recommend this company enough! They were great!!!
